Abstract

The article offers information on the history, benefits and significance of the modem tenure system in law schools of the U.S. It discusses the role and initiatives taken by the American Bar Association in the preservation of the tenure system as the foundation of the legal education and profession in the U.S. It analyzes the impact of the global economic crisis of 2008 upon the future of jobs in legal professions market.
