Abstract

The article discusses the use of iron impregnated biochar for treating arsenic contaminated water in a study by University of Florida's researchers. Topics include the treatment of ground hickory chip by pyrolysis and mixed it with ferrous nitrate and water to form iron impregnated biochar, the views of Bin Gao, professor at the university on the same and the potential applications of biochar such as removing carbon dioxide from flume gases and phosphate from wastewater.
