"Body Language" and Words in Conflict. The impact of Candidates' Verbal and Nonverbal Performance in Televised Debates on Viewers' Short Term Perceptions.

A conference paper about how nonverbal and verbal behaviour of politicians during a television-debate induces the candidates' short-term perceptions, presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association in Washington D.C. in August 2014, is presented. It highlights role played by party leaders' televised debates on an electoral campaign and a debate between Austrian politicians Werner Faymann and Hans Christian Strache.
