- A conference paper prepared for presentation at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association (APSA), Washington, D.C., on August 28-31, 2014 is presented. It examines the impact of customary law on trust and reciprocity in southern Mexico. It also discusses several aspects of formal institutionalization of usos y costumbres.
