Abstract

An essay is presented on the ecological, social and political causes of the protest self-immolation by Tibetans under Chinese rule since February 2009 and its driving force which was originated in the ecological devastation of their land. The author proposes in his abstract a link might exist between protest self-immolation and eco-social distress. He adds that Tibetan protest-immolation is associated to a loss of well-being.
