Abstract

The article focuses on the debate regarding sex education in France and Switzerland at the beginning of the 20th century. Topics mentioned include the role played by the Société française de prophylaxie sanitaire et morale (French Society for Health and Moral Prophylaxis, or SPSM), the work of physicians educating people regarding venereal diseases, and the different projects that took place in Switzerland with more ease than in France.
