Abstract

Wind farm neutral grounding can effectively reduce power frequency overvoltage and arc grounding over voltage, so as to ensure the safe and reliable operation of power system. The author, therefore, establishes the electromagnetic transient simulation model of a wind farm 35 kV power network by PSCAD, by which simulating resistance - grounded neutral system and neutral non - grounding system with the system set single - phase grounding. The simulation result shows that resistance - grounded neutral system suits to wind farm neutral grounding. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
