Abstract

The article presents a study on the increased outbreaks of foodborne diseases associated with nonpasteurized in the U.S. from 2007-2009. The diseases were caused by purchase of this from states where milk sale was legal and several pathogens such as Campylobacter spp., Salmonella enterica serotype Typhimurium and Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli. It is suggested to enforce regulations that would prevent distribution of nonpasteurized milk.
