Purpose: To review the literature on CAD/CAM removable complete and partial dentures regarding patient- and clinician-reported outcomes. Materials and Methods: We performed an electronic search of the Cochrane Central Register of controlled trials (CENTRAL), MEDLINE (Ovid), EMBASE, Scopus, and Web of Science databases (last update: March 2023). All clinical trials or observational studies investigating CAD/CAM removable dentures (conventional or implant-retained) were included. Results: The search yielded 4,035 records and led to 58 included studies. Results suggest that CAD/CAM complete and partial dentures, when compared to the conventional ones, can save time and resources while being rated either noninferior or superior by patients and clinicians in most studies. However, consensus on which workflow offers fewer adjustments and postoperative sessions is still pending. Conclusions: The literature suggests that CAD/CAM complete and partial dentures can combine substantial time and cost savings, with patient and clinician experiences at least comparable to conventional prostheses. Pedagogical models have been described as suitable for promoting positive outcomes in the physical domain of learning. Is this enough in the battle against sedentary lifestyles? To answer this question, a systematic search of four scientific literature databases was conducted. The articles were included if they met the following criteria: (1) interventions using the four most widely implemented pedagogical models (and their hybridizations), (2) analyzed physical activity (PA) and/or intention to be physically active (IPA), and (3) indexed in the Journal Citation Reports. As a result, twenty-eight articles were included. Some studies showed positive outcomes (in both PA and IPA); others showed ambiguous results (increases in one and no effects in the other) and, finally, some showed no effects. Most studies that assessed individuals' IPA produced positive effects. IPA can lead to goals, and through goals, individuals shape their life. Purpose: To verify the parameters and characteristics evaluated in 3D-printed complete denture (CD) bases and how they influence CD properties. Materials and Methods: This work was registered in Open Science Framework (osf.io/4um6v) and followed the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews. A search of peer-reviewed articles published up to April 9, 2020, was performed on the PubMed, LILACS, Cochrane Library, and Science Direct databases. The review question based on the PCC (population, concept, and context) was: What printing parameters and characteristics of CD bases can influence their properties? Results: The database search resulted in 1,945 articles, and the initial screening was carried out in 1,390 articles, 17 of which were selected for inclusion in this review. The present authors verified that cleaning the prosthesis with alcohol after printing followed by a postcuring cycle influences biocompatibility and residual monomers. The printing angle influences physicomechanical properties, microbial adhesion, and tissue adaptation. Accuracy is influenced by layer thickness and manufacturing technique, which also influences retention and tissue adaptation. The incorporation of antimicrobial agents influences physicomechanical properties and antimicrobial activity. The method of union between the denture base and teeth influences mechanical strength. Conclusions: Printed denture bases showed good adaptation to tissues and accuracy with 100-µm layer thickness, but the base must be cleaned in ethanol followed by postcuring for better biocompatibility. Internet addiction jeopardizes teenagers' physical and mental health, as well as their academic performance, and causes a variety of cognitive dysfunctions and psychological and mental health illnesses, among other things. It is a huge issue that families, schools, and society must address immediately. This study used network meta-analysis to evaluate the impact of several interventions on college students' Internet addiction. The goal was to identify the most effective interventions and establish a reference for future interventions. We systematically searched relevant literature in domestic and international databases such as Web of Science, PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Pro Quest, China Knowledge, Wan fang, Wipo, etc. We assessed the risk of bias according to the revised Cochrane Randomized Trials Risk of Bias Tool (RoB2) and used R Studio Software and Stata 14.0 for traditional meta-analysis and network meta-analysis. A network meta-analysis based on the IAT scale showed that comprehensive interventions had the highest probability of being the best intervention for IA (SUCRA = 90.6 % based on IAT); focused solution short-term therapy had the highest probability of being the best intervention for IA based on the CIAS-R (19 White Feather) scale (SUCRA = 100 %). The majority of interventions have a significant influence on the treatment of IA, and improvements in Internet addiction symptoms are more noticeable when a combination of interventions is used rather than just one. • A meta-analysis and network meta-analysis evaluated the effects of interventions on Internet addiction in college students. • Network meta-analyses ranked intervention efficacy based on different evaluation scales. • Most interventions had significant effects on reducing the total scores of Internet addiction. • Combined intervention may be the best interventions on Internet addiction. Search terms included ‘clinical deterioration’, ‘nurses’, ‘wards’, ‘general’, ‘hospital, units’ and ‘hospitals’. The Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, EMBASE, Ovid MEDLINE, PubMed, ProQuest and Science Direct databases were searched for eligible studies.Forty-six studies met the inclusion criteria and three major themes were synthesised: (i) recognition of deterioration; (ii) nursing assessment; and, (iii) challenges responding to patient deterioration.The review highlighted significant variability in the ward nurses’ role, activities, and skills in assessing, monitoring, managing and escalating care for clinical deterioration. Anxiety disorder is a complex disease with the influence of environmental and genetic factors and multimolecular participation, and it is also one of the most common mental disorders. The causes of disorders are not clear but may include a variety of social, psychological, and biological factors. Therefore, neither genetics, neurobiology, nor neuroimaging can independently explain the pathological mechanism. By searching the Web of Science databases, Derwent Innovation Patent database, ClinicalTrials.gov database, and Cortellis database, we analyze the current situation of papers, patents, clinical trials, and drugs of anxiety disorder. Second, the existing literature was reviewed to summarize the neurophysiological mechanism, brain imaging, gene, anti‐anxiety drugs, and other aspects of anxiety disorders. This article reviews the research status of anxiety disorders. The heterogeneity of the disease, lack of treatment effectiveness, and gaps in translational medicine still present barriers to further advancement. Primary patellar dislocation has a certain recurrence rate after either conservative or surgical treatment, and the optimal treatment for patients with primary patellar dislocation of different ages remains unclear. This study aims to compare the clinical efficacy of surgical and conservative treatments for primary patellar dislocation across different age groups. According to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta‐analyses (PRISMA) checklist, we conducted a systematic search for randomized controlled trials. We searched the PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases for randomized controlled trials of primary patellar dislocation treated surgically or conservatively up to January 2023. Data searching, extraction, analysis, and quality assessment were carried out in accordance with the Cochrane Collaboration guidelines. A total of nine studies with 433 patients were included in our study. There was no statistically significant difference between the two treatment modalities in terms of Kujala score, pain score, patient satisfaction, reoperation, and Tegner score. The rate of re‐dislocation after surgical treatment is lower than that after conservative treatment. Subgroup analysis based on mean age showed that when the age was >20 years, Kujala scores were higher after surgical treatment than after conservative treatment (p < 0.0001, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 10.41–21.30). When the age was ≤20 years, the difference in Kujala scores between the two treatment modalities was not statistically significant. When the age was >20 years, the recurrence rate of patellar dislocation was lower after surgical treatment than after conservative treatment (p = 0.009, 95% CI = 0.08–0.70). When the age was ≤20 years, the difference in the recurrence rate of patellar dislocation between the two treatment modalities was not statistically significant. When the age of patients with primary patellar dislocation is ≤20 years, both surgical and conservative treatments result in similar clinical outcomes. When the age is >20 years, better clinical outcomes can be achieved by opting for surgical treatment. Objective Methods Results Conclusion Eosinophilic granulomatous polyangiitis (EGPA) is a rare autoimmune disease characterized by multisystemic inflammation, with eosinophils playing a central role in its pathogenesis. Traditional management relies heavily on corticosteroids and immunosuppressants, which are associated with significant side effects. The emergence of biologic agents, such as benralizumab, offers targeted therapeutic options by inhibiting the interleukin‐5 receptor α, thereby reducing eosinophilic inflammation.This systematic review and meta‐analysis comprehensively evaluate the efficacy and safety of benralizumab in EGPA patients, focusing on its ability to reduce oral corticosteroid (OCS) use, facilitate remission and spare immunosuppressants. We searched MEDLINE, LILACS and ISI Web of Science databases for relevant studies up to July 2024.Eight studies, including both randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies, were included in the meta‐analysis, involving a total of 396 EGPA patients. The pooled analysis demonstrated a significant reduction in OCS dose, with an overall estimated effect of −8.25 mg/day (95% CI, −9.39 to −7.10). Complete remission was achieved in 56.8% of patients, and immunosuppressants were reduced or discontinued in 28.1% of cases. Adverse events (AEs) were reported in 21.9% of patients, with only one discontinuation due to an AE.These findings provide robust evidence supporting the use of benralizumab as an effective and well‐tolerated treatment option for EGPA, significantly reducing OCS requirements and offering promising remission rates. Objective: Notable progress has been made in “ferroptosis-based nano drug delivery systems (NDDSs)” over the past 11 years. Despite the ongoing absence of a comprehensive scientometric overview and up-to-date scientific mapping research, especially regarding the evolution, critical research pathways, current research landscape, central investigative themes, and future directions. Methods: Data ranging from 1 January 2012, to 30 November 2023, were obtained from the Web of Science database. A variety of advanced analytical tools were employed for detailed scientometric and visual analyses. Results: The results show that China significantly led the field, contributing 82.09% of the total publications, thereby largely shaping the research domain. Chen Yu emerged as the most productive author in this field. Notably, the journal ACS Nano had the greatest number of relevant publications. The study identified liver neoplasms, pancreatic neoplasms, gliomas, neoplasm metastases, and melanomas as the top five crucial disorders in this research area. Conclusion: This research provides a comprehensive scientometric assessment, enhancing our understanding of NDDSs focused on ferroptosis. Consequently, it enables rapid access to essential information and facilitates the extraction of novel ideas in the field of ferroptotic nanomedicine for both experienced and emerging researchers. The Mechanical properties of concrete significantly deteriorate when exposed to fire, with explosive spalling posing a major threat to structural integrity. This highlights the need for effective insulation systems to protect concrete structures in fire conditions. However, current insulation solutions are typically installed externally, requiring additional labour and materials. This review explores the potential of incorporating Phase Change Materials (PCMs) directly into concrete as an embedded insulation system. As a latent heat storage material, PCM offers promising fire-resistant properties, reducing the need for external insulation while improving the fire performance of concrete. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis and a systematic review of recent publications on the use of PCMs in concrete and their fire performance applications. One thousand two hundred and four publications retrieved from Scopus© and Web of Science databases were passed through the PRISMA flowchart to obtain a database of recent literature on the study area. The current trend of research shows a shift towards inorganic PCMs in concrete. There is a significant lack of studies on using inorganic and eutectic PCM in concrete for fire applications and existing studies show inorganic PCM can be a viable solution. Objectives: The study aims to emphasize the clinical importance of the Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) technique by quantifying its dosimetric advantages over Free Breathing (FB) in reducing radiation exposure to the heart, liver, and lungs for right-sided breast cancer patients. This evidence supports its potential for routine clinical use to mitigate radiation-induced toxicity. Methods: A systematic retrieval of controlled trials comparing DIBH and FB techniques in postoperative radiotherapy for right-sided breast cancer was conducted utilizing the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases. The primary outcomes assessed included the doses of adjacent normal tissues (heart, liver, and lungs). Summary standardized mean differences (SMD) along with 95% confidence intervals (CI) were computed, respectively. StataMP 17 software was selected to perform data analysis. Results: The study encompassed an analysis of 313 patients derived from seven online studies, comprising 168 individuals in the DIBH group and 269 individuals in the FB group. The findings indicated that the DIBH group received significantly lower irradiation doses to the heart, liver, and lungs in comparison to the FB group, with statistical significance (heart dose: SMD = -0.63, 95% CI -0.85 to -0.41, P < 0.05; liver dose: SMD = -1.15, 95% CI -1.91 to -0.38, P < 0.05; lung dose: SMD = -0.79, 95% CI -1.23 to -0.35, P < 0.05). Conclusion: This meta-analysis indicated that the application of DIBH during postoperative radiotherapy for right-sided breast cancer markedly decreases radiation exposure to the heart, liver, and lungs, while maintaining consistent tumor dose coverage. This bibliometric review synthesizes sustainable tourism research over the past three decades, focusing on its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Based on 1,383 journal articles from the Web of Science database, the RStudio Bibliometrix package analysed bibliometric performance, thematic maps, and co-occurrence networks. The findings highlight the role of sustainable tourism in advancing different SDGs. Findings also indicate three broader thematic areas for future research, including regenerative tourism ecosystems, responsible tourism behaviours, and right-sizing tourism. Through this review, we propose future research directions to enhance knowledge on sustainable tourism and its contribution to the SDGs, providing a strategic roadmap for researchers and policymakers. In myelomeningocele children, the incidence of equinocavovarus feet, considering all foot deformities, is 25–36%. Treatment options consist of extensive surgeries resulting in rigid feet with better alignment. Ponseti method expanded its indications since the early 2000s, including myelodysplastic feet. However, the literature on success, recurrence, and complication rates remains sparse. Therefore, a systematic review was performed in Pubmed, Scopus, Embase, Lilacs, and Web of Science databases on October 28, 2020 and July 11, 2023. Normality and sample proportion analysis with 95% confidence intervals were estimated. Risks of bias and the quality of studies were also evaluated. Success, recurrence, and complication rates were evaluated and analyzed. Eight case series were identified with 101 patients (176 feet). According to this model, the initial success rate was 93% (95% CI = 0.88–0.96) with I2 = 0%, and the final success was 63% (at 4.9 years of follow-up). Recurrence rate was 62% (95% CI = 50–72), and complication rate was 29% (95% CI = 22–38). Ponseti method for myelodysplastic clubfoot is effective (93% of initial correction). However, there are high complication and recurrence rates, and longer follow-up is needed to identify recurrences and urge for early intervention. The aim of this study is to classify scientific research on the impact of ESG and climate-related risks on the conduct of the banking business. The systematic literature review was based on a bibliometric analysis of articles found in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The search was confined to materials published between 2000 and August 2023. After applying criteria limiting the search, the final result was 869 unique literature items which were later analysed towards establishing the relationship of ESG and climate-related risks ('new banking risks') with other (so-called 'traditional') banking risks and identifying research gaps at the interface between traditional and new banking risks. This article introduces a variety of findings, including the most productive authors, organisations, countries and journals, the most cited articles and keyword distribution. In addition, a map of the evolution of the approach to ESG risk in banking was constructed on the basis of the literature review. In recent years, there is a significant interest from the crystallographic and materials science communities to have access to raw diffraction data. The effort in archiving raw data for access by the user community is spearheaded by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) Committee on Data. In materials science, where powder diffraction is extensively used, the challenge in archiving raw data is different to that from single crystal data, owing to the very nature of the contributions involved. Powder diffraction (X‐ray or neutron) data consist of contributions from the material under study as well as instrument specific parameters. Having raw powder diffraction data can be essential in cases of analysing materials with poor crystallinity, disorder, micro structure (size/strain) etc. Here, the initiative and progress made by the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDDR) in archiving powder X‐ray diffraction raw data in the Powder Diffraction FileTM (PDFR) database is outlined. Balancing speed and quality during crises pose challenges for ensuring the value and utility of data in social science research. The COVID-19 pandemic in particular underscores the need for high-quality data and rapid dissemination. Given the importance of behavioural measures and compliance with measures to contain the pandemic, social science research has played a key role in policymaking during this global crisis. This study addresses two key research questions: How FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable) are social science data on the COVID-19 pandemic? Which study features are related to the level of FAIRness scores of datasets? We assess the FAIRness of n = 1131 articles, retrieved through a keyword search in the Web of Science database, employing both automated and manual coding methods. Our study inclusion criteria encompass empirical studies on the COVID-19 pandemic published between 2019 and 2023 with a social science focus and explicit reference to the underlying dataset(s). Our analysis of n = 45 datasets reveals substantial differences in FAIRness for different types of research on the COVID-19 pandemic. The overall FAIRness of data is acceptable, although particularly Reusability scores fall short, in both the manual and the automatic assessment. Further, articles explicitly linked to the Social Science concept in the OpenAlex database exhibit a higher mean overall FAIRness value. Based on these results, we derive recommendations for balancing ethical obligations and the potential tradeoff between speed and data (sharing) quality in social-scientific crisis research. Aims: Bilateral chylothoraces are rare but potentially life-threatening complications of neck dissections (ND). The condition is generally treated with a combination of dietary, medical, procedural, and surgical approaches. The aim of this review is to highlight the management options currently utilized in clinical practice and propose a management algorithm for this condition. Methods: In accordance to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines; utilizing the Pubmed, EMBASE, and Web of Science databases, a systematic review of all available literature on bilateral chylothoraces was conducted. Primary outcomes measures included clinical presentations and type of neck dissection performed with interventions employed to manage the condition. Secondary outcome measures included the time to resolution alongside patient outcomes. Results: We identified 37 patients (female n = 27, male n = 10) who presented with bilateral chylothoraces within the years 1951–2018. The mean age was 51.4 ± 16.5 years within the age ranges of 17–78 years. Most common pathologies included papillary thyroid carcinoma (n = 16), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the larynx (n = 3), supraglottic SCC (n = 3). Left sided ND was done in (n = 18); bilateral ND in (n = 17); central/left ND in (n = 2). Chylothorax was treated by surgery in n = 10, n = 5 of which performed lymph node embolization; and n = 5 used lymph node ligation. Resolution was found in all cases. Discharge times ranged from 2 to 40 days. Conclusions: This systematic review highlights the different management modalities in treating bilateral chylothoraces alongside providing a decision algorithm in treating the condition by suggesting diagnostic tools and management modalities to optimize patient care. The current understanding of the correlation between insulin resistance (IR) and cognitive dysfunction is limited. Therefore, the objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to assess the association between the triglyceride glucose (TyG) index, a recently suggested indicator of IR, and cognitive impairment and dementia in the adult population. Observational studies pertinent to our research were identified through comprehensive searches of the PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases. To account for potential heterogeneity, the random-effects models were employed to aggregate the findings. This meta-analysis included ten observational studies involving 5602409 participants. Compared to those with the low TyG index, subjects with the high TyG index were significantly associated with the risk of cognitive impairment [risk ratio (RR): 1.39, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.22 to 1.59, p<0.001; I2=45%) and dementia (RR: 1.30, 95% CI: 1.06 to 1.60, p=0.01; I2=50%). The association was consistent for Alzheimer's disease (RR: 1.35, 95% CI: 1.04 to 1.76, p=0.03; I2=54%) and vascular dementia (RR: 1.18, 95% CI: 1.13 to 1.24, p<0.001; I2=0%). Subgroup analyses showed that the association between TyG index with cognitive impairment and dementia were stronger in cross-sectional studies than that in cohort studies (p for subgroup difference=0.02), but not significantly modified by age, sex, or diabetic status of the participants. AbstractTelemedicine offers transformative solutions for healthcare delivery, particularly in bridging geographical barriers and enhancing patient care. Nevertheless, its adoption by physicians is intricate, driven by diverse factors that require systematic understanding. This systematic review aims to identify and classify the factors influencing physicians’ adoption of telemedicine. From a collection of 2098 articles sourced from Web of Science and Scopus databases, 59 studies met the predetermined criteria and were meticulously assessed. The salient factors from these chosen papers were segmented into distinct categories: psychological and behavioral factors, technological factors, social and cultural factors, security and privacy factors, conditional factors, quality factors, healthcare-related factors, and inhibiting factors. Building on this classification, we proposed a comprehensive framework for telemedicine adoption tailored to physicians. This framework endeavors to act as a scaffold for subsequent empirical investigations. The taxonomy of the factors also aided in offering numerous research agendas to pave the way for more exhaustive studies into telemedicine adoption among medical professionals. The insights procured serve not only to deepen theoretical comprehension but also to present pragmatic guidelines for practitioners, service providers, application developers, and decision-makers. Background: Despite primary care being largely free at the point of delivery, many Canadians experience challenges in accessing the services they need. A systematic review was conducted to summarize the evidence on the level of unmet need for primary care in Canada and its social determinants. Methods: MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of Science databases were screened from inception to December 2023 using relevant search terms for primary care and unmet healthcare needs. Quantitative observational studies in the English language that included Canadian adults aged 18 years and older and focused on unmet needs for primary care were included. The risk of bias in the studies was assessed using either the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal checklist or the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale. The included studies were synthesized narratively. Results: Forty-six studies met the inclusion criteria for this review. Of the included studies, 96% were cross-sectional in design and 91% had low risk of bias. The prevalence of unmet need, mostly self-reported, varied between 6.6% and 25.2% in national studies. Social determinants of unmet needs were heterogeneous across studies. Findings suggest that unmet need for primary care is related to having low income, mental health diagnoses, and chronic conditions, and negatively associated with older age, having better-perceived health, and having a family physician. Conclusions: Universal access to primary care is the founding principle of the Canadian healthcare system. However, we found evidence suggesting that the extent to which primary care needs are met is influenced by social determinants of health. Background: Hypertension resolution following adrenalectomy in patients with primary aldosteronism (PA) remains a critical clinical challenge. Identifying preoperatively which patients will become normotensive is both a priority and a point of contention. In this narrative review, we explore the controversies and unresolved issues surrounding the prediction of hypertension resolution after adrenalectomy in PA. Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted, focusing on studies published between 1954 and 2024 that evaluated all studies that discussed predictive models for hypertension resolution post-adrenalectomy in PA patients. Databases searched included MEDLINE®, Ovid Embase, and Web of Science databases. Results: The review identified several predictors and predictive models of hypertension resolution, including female sex, duration of hypertension, antihypertensive medication, and BMI. However, inconsistencies in study designs and patient populations led to varied conclusions. Conclusions: Although certain predictors and predictive models of hypertension resolution post-adrenalectomy in PA patients are supported by evidence, significant controversies and unresolved issues remain. While the current predictive models provide valuable insights, there is a clear need for further research in this area. Future studies should focus on validating and refining these models. Background The optimal treatment for malignant gastric outlet obstruction (GOO) remains uncertain. This systematic review aimed to comprehensively investigate the efficacy and safety of four palliative treatments for malignant GOO: gastrojejunostomy, endoscopic ultrasound-guided gastroenterostomy (EUS-GE), stomach-partitioning gastrojejunostomy (PGJ), and endoscopic stenting. Methods We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, ClinicalTrials.gov, and the World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and cohort studies comparing the four treatments for malignant GOO. We included studies that reported at least one of the following clinical outcomes: clinical success, 30-day mortality, reintervention rate, or length of hospital stay. Evidence from RCTs and non-RCTs was naïve combined to perform network meta-analysis through the frequentist approach using an inverse variance model. Treatments were ranked by P score. Results This network meta-analysis included 3617 patients from 4 RCTs, 4 prospective cohort studies, and 32 retrospective cohort studies. PGJ was the optimal approach in terms of clinical success and reintervention (P scores: 0.95 and 0.90, respectively). EUS-GE had the highest probability of being the optimal treatment in terms of 30-day mortality and complications (P scores: 0.82 and 0.99, respectively). Cluster ranking to combine the P scores for 30-day mortality and reintervention indicated the benefits of PGJ and EUS-GE (cophenetic correlation coefficient: 0.94; PGJ and EUS-GE were in the same cluster). Conclusion PGJ and EUS-GE are recommended for malignant GOO. PGJ could be the alternative choice in centers with limited resources or in patients who are unsuitable for EUS-GE. The article focuses on the review of HPGR operation mainly from a technological point of view. A critical review of recent achievements in HPGR technology was carried out, and major research areas and interests were distinguished and characterized. The economic potentials of HPGR presses were analyzed from the scope of the energy consumption. The HPGR researches were grouped into the following subjects: construction and design of HPGR machines, HPGR feed characterizations, the process course and assessment of comminution operations in HPGR devices, modeling and optimization of HPGR operation, HPGR-based technological circuits, and impact of HPGR operation on effectiveness of beneficiation processes. Apart from that, quantitative and qualitative analyses of the publications registered in the Web of Science database were performed. The evaluation has been performed according to the most frequently published institutions, countries, and journals. One of the fatal and debilitating neurodegenerative diseases is amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Increasing age is one of the risk factors of ALS. Considering that the elderly population in the world is increasing, it is very important to identify useful and effective diagnostic and treatment methods. The purpose of this systematic review is to determine the relationship between chitotriosidase (CHIT1) level and ALS disorder.Keywords “Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis”, “Gehrig* Disease”, “Charcot Disease”, “Guam Disease”, ALS, CHIT1 and chitotriosidase were searched in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and Science Direct databases without time limit on September 2023. Hundred twenty studies were obtained by searching, and finally, 14 studies were included in this study using the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In all 14 selected studies, the level of biomarker CHIT1 in the CSF of ALS patients was significantly higher than that of healthy control and disease control groups. But, in 8 studies that included 3 groups, no significant difference was observed between the CHIT1 levels in the two control groups. Six studies have reported the amount of CHIT1 level quantitatively. Among these 6 studies, in 5 studies CHIT1 level in disease control was higher than healthy control (not significant) and in only one study CHIT1 level was higher in healthy control compared to disease control (not significant).In all 14 studies, a multifold increase in CHIT1 levels has been observed in patients compared to healthy and disease control groups. Background: Oral finasteride and topical minoxidil formulations are the only FDA‐approved drug therapies for androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Research into dutasteride, topical finasteride, and nontopical minoxidil (low‐dose oral and sublingual) formulations in the treatment of AGA has spiked within recent years. Early findings show that these alternative drug therapies may have similar to improved efficacy and safety profiles relative to the conventional treatment options. Aims: Conducting a bibliometric analysis, compare trends in publications on these alternative drug therapies, identify key contributors, evaluate major findings from top‐cited articles, and elucidate gaps in evidence. Methods: A search was conducted on the Web of Science database for publications on the use of alternative drug therapies in the treatment of AGA. A total of 95 publications, published between January 2003—March 2024, and their citation metadata were included in the analysis. Results: Dutasteride showed the greatest (n = 37) and longest (20+ years) history of publications, as well as the highest cumulative citations (n = 914); however, nontopical minoxidil showed a burst in research activity within the last 5 years (n = 33 publications since 2019). A relatively low number of randomized control trials (n = 3) for nontopical minoxidil suggests a need for higher‐quality evidence. Conclusions: Our analysis reveals major trends, contributors, and gaps in evidence for alternative drug therapies for AGA, which can help inform researchers on their future projects in this growing field of study. Among territorial birds, the number of conspecific neighbours sets the social context of communication. There have been many investigations of vocal behaviour and its important role in territory defense and mate attraction in birds; however, the effect of the density of conspecific neighbours on avian communication has received little attention. In this study, we reviewed the literature on the influence of local density on vocal communication in birds, exploring how the number of conspecific neighbours influences avian vocal behaviour, by conducting a literature review following the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) in two databases: Web of Science and Scopus. We also included additional articles from a more flexible search in Google Scholar. We found 19 studies of birds that included data on vocal behaviour in relation to the number of conspecific neighbours. The majority of these studies (14 of 19) showed that local density influences avian vocal behaviour. Overall, these studies revealed an effect of local density of conspecifics on song rate (expressed as song rate, syllable rate, solo song rate, or singing rate). Other vocal behaviours that were shown to vary with local density included song-type switching, song duration, peak frequency, and song variation. Most studies focused on temperate-zone species where males are the predominant singers. Our results reveal a bias towards the study of male songs in the context of local density, with very few studies on female song; this corresponds with a historical geographical focus on temperate birds. We present experimental design suggestions for future investigations, including predictions for males and females of tropical and temperate species. Finally, we argue that more research on this topic is needed, and that investigations of vocal communication will benefit from further study of the influence of density on avian vocal behaviour. The main purpose of this review was to examine the evidence of the relationship between active smoking or passive smoking during pregnancy and atopic dermatitis in offspring. The protocol was written following the PRISMA Checklist and was registered in the PROSPERO database (registration number CRD42022381136). We implemented a comprehensive search in PubMed, Embase and Web of Science databases to identify all potentially related articles from inception through 1 December 2022. We assessed cohort studies and case–control studies using the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale (NOS), and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal tool to assess the quality of cross‐sectional studies. Heterogeneity was investigated by using Cochrane Q tests and I2 statistics. In addition, according to the research design, population source and population size, the reasons for the heterogeneity were analysed. A total of 15 observational studies were included in this analysis. Our meta‐analysis suggests that atopic dermatitis in offspring is not associated with active smoking during pregnancy (pooled OR, 0.96 [95% CI 0.86–1.07]); however, it is related to passive smoking (OR, 1.52 [95% CI 1.36–1.70]). Passive smoking during pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of eczema development in offspring. More research is needed to explore the risk of active smoking and eczema development in offspring, especially the association between measurements of pregnancy cotinine levels in maternal body fluids and AD in offspring. This review aimed to investigate the literature systematically and answer the question "Does the processing method of organic and inorganic agents incorporated into PMMA influence antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity?". This systematic review was registered in the OpenScience Framework (osf.io/7nc28) and PRISMA guidelines were followed. The study design (PICOS) framework applied was P = polymethylmethacrylate; I = incorporation of organic and inorganic antimicrobials; C = control group; O = antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity; and S = experimental in vitro studies. A custom search strategy was performed in Embase, Scopus, PubMed, and Science Direct databases. Studies were selected according to eligibility criteria in two steps. The risk of bias was evaluated by Joanna Briggs Institute's quasi-experimental studies tool. A qualitative analysis of the data was performed addressing: incorporation and polymerization methods, antimicrobial activity, and cytotoxicity of organic and inorganic agents added into PMMA. From a total of 1959 results, 34 studies were included in this review. The 3 organic agents evaluated showed antimicrobial efficacy and 1 was cytotoxic. Of the 31 inorganics, 4 showed no antimicrobial activity, and 8 reduced cell viability. Processing methods influenced the results. The incorporation of organic and inorganic antimicrobial agents into PMMA, depending on the processing method, changes the antimicrobial efficacy and cytotoxicity of the modified material. Objective: Inflammatory diseases are influenced by oxidative stress. Oxidatively damaged 8-oxoG in DNA is linked to inflammation. The enzyme OGG1 is responsible for repairing the damaged base in the DNA which is linked to pro-inflammatory signaling and severe inflammation. This study aims to explore the potential of targeting OGG1 as a therapeutic strategy in inflammatory disease conditions. Methods: A comprehensive search and review of literature were conducted using appropriate scientific databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and other references to obtain relevant information that suited the title and content of this article. Results: Compelling pieces of evidence from many previous studies have shown the crucial role of the OGG1/8oxoG pathway in inflammatory disease conditions, leading to severe inflammatory response and death. Therefore, based on these pieces of evidence, targeting this enzyme (OGG1) using specific pharmacological inhibitors or interventions might lead to downregulation and amelioration of severe inflammation to reduce the morbimortality related to several disease conditions. Conclusion: This review highlighted the molecular mechanism of OGG1 activity via the 8-oxo/OGG1 pathway and its role in inflammation and inflammatory disease conditions. Due to the paucity of studies involving OGG1in inflammatory infectious diseases, further research projects are needed to explore the therapeutic potential of various OGG1 inhibitors to serve as novel therapeutic strategies in infectious inflammatory diseases of medical importance in developing countries such as malaria, meningitis, tuberculosis among others. Purpose: Examination of the scientific literature on cholesteatoma from past to present using bibliometric methods. Methods: A total of 2353 articles on cholesteatoma between 1980 and 2023 were obtained from the Web of Science database and statistically analysed using bibliometric techniques. Results: The journals with the highest number of contributions to the literature were Otology & Neurotology (n = 192), Acta Oto-Laryngologica (156) and Laryngoscope (149). The most impactful journals based on h-index and total citation (TC) counts were Laryngoscope (h:36, TC: 4241), Otology & Neurotology (29, 3141), and American Journal of Otology (26, 2071) respectively. The most prolific author was Kojima H. (n = 49). According to the findings of the Reference Publication Year Spectroscopy (RPYS) analysis, there has been a significant increase in academic interest in Cholesteatoma since its first description in 1959, particularly following the expansion of its definition in 1977. Subsequently, the trend of increased interest has risen rapidly in later years, with notable peaks in research intensity observed in 1989, 2006, and 2011. The highest academic trend occurred in 2006. In recent years, trending topics have included innovative approaches such as diagnostic and imaging methods particularly alongside technological developments, endoscopic surgery, recurrence and complications, prognosis and quality of life, artificial intelligence, and obliteration. Conclusion: In conclusion, the evolution of cholesteatoma and its research priorities reveal temporal shifts and emerging areas of interest over time. Primarily, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical approaches remain central. The use of plant derived bioactive substances as a key therapeutic agent to treat various diseases has gained great impetus recently. Annona fruits are currently gaining attention from those who are interested in eating foods that promote health because of its phytochemical composition, whose actions have not before been investigated. A comprehensive search was conducted on scientific databases like Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus etc to retrieve the relevant literature on Annona species include Annona squamosa, Annona muricata, Annona reticulata, Annona glabra, Annona crassiflora, Annona cherimola, Annona montana, Annona purpurea, Annona senegalensis, Annona dioica and Annona atemoya , their bioactive compounds, biological activity, pharmacology and mechanism from January 2002 to February 2024. According to the available literature data bioactive phytocompound have proven to be a potential alternative to synthetic drugs especially because of their antioxidant, antibacterial and in vitro anticancer properties. This review aims to provide up-to-date information on Annona genus with mode of action on various disease. The literature accessible on this plant species was systematically analysed to extract evidence regarding its phytochemicals, including phenolic, ascorbic acid, fatty acids, essential oils, alkaloids etc. Moreover, the considerable data will be useful for pharmaceutical researchers and other industries looking for up-to-date understandings. • We conducted a systematic review on the topic of road traffic suicides. • 51 studies were identified and their content summarized in 12 topic areas. • We concluded that road traffic suicides are not a well-researched phenomenon. • The prevalence and consequences of this method, together with who uses it and why, deserve more research attention. • More efforts are needed to develop potential preventive measures for this suicide method. Suicide on the road network is a recognized suicide method. We conducted a systematic review with the main aim of summarizing the existing research literature on road traffic suicides covering all road users who attempt or die by suicide in road traffic. A secondary and more specific aim was to examine the consequences for possible secondary participants. Our ultimate aim was to identify prevention measures. Relevant publications (N = 48) were identified in Medline , PsycInfo , Scopus , and Web of Science databases and supplemented with three studies from a personal database. We covered and discussed the following twelve topics: Countries where the data has been collected; Publication years – a historical overview; The main purpose of the studies; Data sources; How suicide was confirmed/defined (Differences between decisions by crash investigators and those of official forensic examinations); The proportion of suicides on roads; Types of crashes; The second party; Who dies by suicide in road traffic? (Age and gender, Mental health history, and Other background factors); Why people choose this method of suicide; The prevention of road suicides; An overview of issues regarding quality of studies. We conclude that road traffic suicides are not a well-researched phenomenon, especially concerning the reasons why people choose this specific method, the consequences for the possible second party, and specific preventive measures. Summary: Psychological distress has a demonstrable impact on cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and risk factors. Transcendental Meditation (TM) has been shown to reduce stress and improve health and well‐being. The current review aimed to synthesize the evidence on the effects of TM on cardiometabolic outcomes and identify gaps for future research. We searched PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, SCOPUS, and Web of Science databases for relevant literature. Forty‐five papers that reported studies of TM on cardiometabolic risk factors and diseases were included. Evidence shows that TM is effective in reducing blood pressure (BP). We found some evidence that TM can improve insulin resistance and may play a role in improving dyslipidemia, exercise tolerance, and myocardial blood flow, and in reducing carotid intima‐media thickness and left ventricular mass. Studies show that long‐term TM practice can reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and CVD mortality. This review identified that certain studies have high participant drop‐out rates, and fewer studies targeted comprehensive cardiometabolic outcomes beyond BP with longer follow‐up periods. We found that most studies were conducted in specific populations, which may limit generalizability. In conclusion, TM has the potential to improve cardiometabolic health; however, research gaps highlight the need for larger phase III multicenter clinical trials with long‐term follow‐ups. Understanding the evolution of interconnected cultures and individuals, resembling a complex network, cultural routes serve as bridges between the past and the future, offering the key to cultural richness, diversity, and change. Defined as paths gathered around a specific theme, expressing a common value, cultural routes aim to preserve cultural heritage and support sustainable development and local economic growth. The concept of cultural routes, increasingly present in the literature, is addressed by various researchers through publications in different categories. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis by examining publications related to cultural routes to reveal the dimensions of interaction between researchers and the impacts of their work. Utilizing the Web of Science database with data obtained in September 2023 using the keywords "cultural routes" and "cultural route", a bibliometric analysis was conducted using the VosViewer program, examining a total of 236 publications. Cancer gradually continues to cause increasing numbers of deaths each year globally. In addition, the persistence and aggressiveness of multidrug-resistant (MDR) cancer cells make this disease a serious public health problem. However, scientists are making considerable efforts to understand the mechanisms of action of cell proliferation and to discover new cytotoxic agents capable of combating drug sensitive as well as MDR cancer cells; and the exploration of medicinal and phytochemical plants is a considerable avenue. This chapter reports on the contribution of the potential of Hypericum roeperianum and its constituents as a source of anticancer drugs. Scientific databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Google Scholar were used to retrieve publications related to the cytotoxic and antiproliferative properties of H. roeperianum. The reported data were analyzed to highlight the cytotoxicity and the modes of action of botanicals and phytochemical from H. roeperianum. The results show that H. roeperianum and its constituents have beneficial cytotoxic properties and could be exploited in alternative medicine for the management of cancer including the recalcitrant phenotypes. Brassica vegetables are characterized by high amounts of vitamins, minerals, polyphenols and glucosinolates, therefore showing health-promoting properties. Due to the fact that these vegetables undergo thermal treatment before consumption, the knowledge of the effect of processing is of high importance. Among various methods used, sous-vide (i.a. hydrothermal treatment of vacuum-packed products in strictly controlled temperature-time conditions) is becoming more popular. Thus, the aim of this review was to compare the results of research papers from the last two decades, concerning the effect of sous-vide and other processing methods on the microbiological safety as well as nutritional value of Brassica vegetables. 3 scientific databases (Scopus, ScienceDirect and PubMed) were searched, using the keywords "sous-vide"; "sous-vide" and "vegetables"; "sous-vide" and "Brassica". It was shown that sous-vide treatment was more beneficial than other methods, taking into account nutritional value. When choosing the appropriate method of processing, it must be taken into consideration that the modern consumer is aware of the nutritional value of foods and often chooses the more valuable product. The awareness of the consumer chossing nutritious and valourable foods and at the same time, the high quality of the raw material as well as microbiological safety of the final product should be considered. Research in machine learning (ML) algorithms using natural behavior (i.e., text, audio, and video data) suggests that these techniques could contribute to personalization in psychology and psychiatry. However, a systematic review of the current state of the art is missing. Moreover, individual studies often target ML experts who may overlook potential clinical implications of their findings. In a narrative accessible to mental health professionals, we present a systematic review conducted in 5 psychology and 2 computer science databases. We included 128 studies that assessed the predictive power of ML algorithms using text, audio, and/or video data in the prediction of anxiety and posttraumatic stress disorder. Most studies (n = 87) were aimed at predicting anxiety, while the remainder (n = 41) focused on posttraumatic stress disorder. They were mostly published since 2019 in computer science journals and tested algorithms using text (n = 72) as opposed to audio or video. Studies focused mainly on general populations (n = 92) and less on laboratory experiments (n = 23) or clinical populations (n = 13). Methodological quality varied, as did reported metrics of the predictive power, hampering comparison across studies. Two-thirds of studies, which focused on both disorders, reported acceptable to very good predictive power (including high-quality studies only). The results of 33 studies were uninterpretable, mainly due to missing information. Research into ML algorithms using natural behavior is in its infancy but shows potential to contribute to diagnostics of mental disorders, such as anxiety and posttraumatic stress disorder, in the future if standardization of methods, reporting of results, and research in clinical populations are improved. The digital transformation in higher education can be observed in numerous ways and practices. Recently, post-pandemic digitalization played a significant role in the increase of the educational use of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, extended reality, and social media. Among these, social media has dominated daily life long before the rest of the technologies. Hence, examining the current situation of social media studies within educational research aids in envisioning the future vision. This study aims to outline the trends in the use of social media platforms by analyzing them within educational research published between 2017-2023. For this purpose, 473 articles in the Web of Science database were examined regarding the dimensions of publication year, country of publication, author, keyword, article type, the method used, sampling, data collection tools and analysis methods, and social media use. Polygalae radix (PR) is the dried root of Polygala tenuifolia Willd. and Polygala sibirica L. and enjoys the reputation as the "key medicine for nourishing life." In this study, information about "Polygala tenuifolia Willd.," "Polygala sibirica L.," and "Yuanzhi" was retrieved from scientific databases, including Google Scholar, Baidu Scholar, Web of Science, PubMed, CNKI, and Wan Fang Data. Information from Chinese herbal medicine classics, Yaozhi Data, and the Gaide Chemical Network was also collected. Information related to botany, phytochemistry, pharmacology, toxicity, industrial applications, and processing is summarized in this paper to tap its potentialities and promote its further development and clinical application. More than 320 metabolites have been isolated from PR; saponins, xanthones, and oligosaccharide esters are the main functional metabolites. Pharmacological research shows that its pharmacological action mainly focuses on resisting nervous system diseases, and it also has the functions of anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, anti-tumor, anti-pathogenic microorganisms and others. The gastrointestinal irritation of its saponins impeded its application, but this irritation can be reduced by controlling the dosage, compatibility with other herbs, or processing. The future progress of PR faces opportunities and challenges. More attention should be paid to the traditional application and processing methods of PR recorded in ancient books. The lack of safety and clinical studies has limited its application and transformation of achievements. Moreover, it is one-sided to take the content of only a few metabolites as the index of processing optimization and quality control, which cannot reflect the full pharmacological and toxicological activities of PR. PI3K-AKT-mTOR plays as important role in the growth, metabolism, proliferation, and migration of cancer cells, and in apoptosis, autophagy, inflammation, and angiogenesis in cancer. In this study, the aim was to comprehensively review the current research landscape regarding the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway in cancer, using bibliometrics to analyze research hotspots, and provide ideas for future research directions. Literature published on the topic between January 2006 and May 2023 was retrieved from the Web of Science core database, and key information and a visualization map were analyzed using CiteSpace and VOSviewer. A total of 5800 articles from 95 countries/regions were collected, including from China and the USA. The number of publications on the topic increased year on year. The major research institution was the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Oncotarget and Clinical Cancer Research were the most prevalent journals in the field. Of 26,621 authors, R Kurzrock published the most articles, and J Engelman was cited most frequently. "A549 cell," "first line treatment," "first in human phase I," and "inhibitor" were the keywords of emerging research hotspots. Inhibitors of the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway and their use in clinical therapeutic strategies for cancer were the main topics in the field, and future research should also focus on PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway inhibitors. This study is the first to comprehensively summarize trends and development s in research into the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway in cancer. We conducted a comprehensive umbrella review including all published meta-analyses and systematic reviews on suicide-related outcomes among adults in custody. Eligible studies were searched for in major scientific databases following the PRISMA method up to February 2023. The quality of each study was assessed using the AMSTAR-2 protocol. Twenty studies were included, consisting of 11 meta-analyses and nine systematic reviews. Factors associated with suicide outcomes among individuals in custody were categorized into five domains: clinical status, historical, custodial, criminological, and prevention. However, all systematic studies reported considerable heterogeneity (I2 > 50%–85%). Most systematic literature reviews and/or meta-analyses showed moderate quality based on AMSTAR-2. This umbrella review highlights individual factors (in the clinical status and historical domain), contextual factors (in the custodial and criminological domains), and protective factors (in the prevention domain) to provide a clearer understanding of the prison-related domains involved in the development and maintenance of suicide-related outcomes. Purpose: This study aims to examine the literature from the Web of Science database published on board committees between 2002 and 2023 and outline the quantitative summary, journey of board committees' research and suggest future research directions. Design/methodology/approach: This study examines bibliometric-content analysis combined with a systematic literature review of articles on board committees to document the summary of the field. The authors used co-citation, co-occurrence and cluster analysis under bibliometric-content analysis to present the field summary. Findings: Board committee composition, such as their gender, independence and expertise, as well as factors affecting corporate governance, such as reporting quality, earnings management and board monitoring, all have a significant impact on board committee literature. The field is getting growing attention from authors, journals and countries. Nevertheless, there is a need for further exploration in areas like expertise, member age and tenure, the economic crisis and the nomination and remuneration committee, which have not yet received sufficient attention. Originality/value: This paper has both theoretical and practical contributions. From a theoretical perspective, this study substantiates the prevalence of agency theory within board committee literature, reinforcing the foundational role of agency theory in shaping discussions about board committees. On practical ground, the comprehensive overview of board committee literature offers scholars a road map for navigating this field and directing their future research journey. The identification of research gaps in certain areas serves as a catalyst for scholars to explore untapped dimensions, enabling them to strengthen the essence of the committees' performance. Colorectal cancer (CRC) screening has been proven to reduce both mortality and the incidence of this disease. Most CRC screening programs are based on fecal immunochemical tests (FITs), which have a low participation rate. Searching for blood protein biomarkers can lead to the development of a more accepted screening test. The aim of this systematic review was to compare the diagnostic potential of the most promising serum protein biomarkers. A systematic review based on PRISMA guidelines was conducted in the PubMed and Web of Science databases between January 2010 and December 2023. Studies assessing blood protein biomarkers for CRC screening were included. The sensitivity, specificity, and area under the ROC curve of each biomarker were collected. Among 4685 screened studies, 94 were considered for analysis. Most of them were case–control studies, leading to an overestimation of the performance of candidate biomarkers. The performance of no protein biomarker or combination of biomarkers appears to match that of the FIT. Studies with a suitable design and population, testing new assay techniques, or based on algorithms combining FIT with serum tests are needed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

AbstractThis study aimed to gather the best evidence on the relationship between dietary factors and hyperuricaemia and gout. We searched databases including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of Science from database creation to July 2023. Meta-analysis showed that consumption of alcohol (OR: 1.41, 95% CI: 1.29-1.55; 1.60, 95% CI: 1.33-1.93, respectively), red meat (OR:1.27, 95% CI: 1.18-1.37; 1.32, 95% CI: 1.18-1.47, respectively), fructose (OR: 1.29, 95% CI: 1.21-1.38; 1.65, 95% CI: 1.36-2.01, respectively) and seafoods (OR: 1.40, 95% CI: 1.20-1.64; 1.29, 95% CI: 1.00-1.67, respectively) were positively associated with the risk of hyperuricaemia and gout, while vegetables (OR: 0.78, 95% CI: 0.71-0.85; 0.96,95% CI 0.74-1.24, respectively) were inversely associated. Dairy products (OR: 0.69, 95% CI: 0.61-0.78) and nuts (OR: 0.75, 95% CI: 0.60-0.93) were also inversely associated with the risk of hyperuricaemia. Soy products (OR: 0.86, 95% CI: 0.75-0.98) and coffee (OR: 0.56, 95% CI: 0.39-0.81) were negatively associated with the risk of gout. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The management of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) relies on clinical and histopathological features for treatment decisions. Recently, radiomics, which involves the extraction and analysis of quantitative imaging features, has shown promise in improving RCC management. This review evaluates the current application and limitations of radiomics for predicting treatment and oncological outcomes in RCC. Methods: A systematic search was conducted in Medline, EMBASE, and Web of Science databases or studies that used radiomics to predict response to treatment and survival outcomes in patients with RCC. The study quality was assessed using the Radiomics Quality Score (RQS) tools. Results: The systematic review identified a total of 27 studies, examining 6,119 patients. The most used imaging modality was contrast-enhanced abdominal CT. The reviewed studies extracted between 19 and 3376 radiomics features, including Histogram, Texture, Filter, or transformation method. Radiomics-based risk stratification models provided valuable insights into treatment response and oncological outcomes. All developed signatures demonstrated at least modest accuracy (AUC range: 0.55–0.99). The studies included in this analysis reported heterogeneous results regarding radiomics methods. The range of Radiomics Quality Score (RQS) was from − 5 to 20, with a mean RQS total of 9.15 ± 7.95. Conclusion: Radiomics has emerged as a promising tool in the management of RCC. It offers the potential for improved risk stratification and response assessment. However, future trials must demonstrate the generalizability of findings to prospective cohorts before progressing towards clinical translation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
