Abstract: We present prospects for the $\Theta^+$ pentaquark baryon search using the newly constructed LEPS2 facility at SPring-8. The LEPS2 detector system features significant improvements in acceptance for multi-particle final states compared to previous experiments. Our search employs two complementary strategies: direct production in the $\gamma n \to K^-\Theta^+$ reaction using a liquid deuterium target with a photon beam up to 2.4 GeV, and $\bar{K}^{*0}$-associated $\Theta^+$ production using a liquid hydrogen target with a photon beam up to 2.9 GeV. The extended acceptance covers both forward and large angle regions, effectively spanning the kinematic regions explored by previous LEPS and CLAS experiments. The large acceptance and improved resolution of LEPS2, combined with these complementary approaches, provide unprecedented sensitivity for establishing the existence of the $\Theta^+$ or placing definitive upper limits on its production., Comment: to be published on Acta Physica Polonica B 56 (2025)

2. Superconducting LaPtH$_{ 6 }$ with triatomic hydrogen units

Abstract: To veryfy "hot supreconductivity" recently proposed in lanthanum hydride-based compounds, we explored thermodynamically stable and superconducting phases in the lanthanum (La)-platinum (Pt)-hydrogen (H) ternary system at 20 GPa using an evolutionary construction scheme of a formation-enthalpy convex hull, universal neural network potential calculations, and density functional theory calculations. Although we found no evidence of the hot superconductivity in this ternary system, we predicted a unique compound, LaPtH$_{ 6 }$, which has equilateral triangular H$_{ 3 }$ units nearly forming a two-dimensional kagome lattice between La and Pt layers and shows the superconductivity at 18.67 K. This structure is dynamically stable from ambient pressure to at least 200 GPa and the superconducting critical temperature increases from 13.51 to 40.63 K., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:2312.01290

4. 3-loop Feynman Integral Extrapolations for the Baseball Diagram

Abstract: We focus on numerical techniques for expanding 3-loop Feynman integrals with respect to the dimensional regularization parameter $\varepsilon,$ which is related to the space-time dimension as $\nu = 4-2\varepsilon,$ and describes underlying UV singularities located at the boundaries of the integration domain. As a function of the squared momentum $s,$ the expansion coefficients exhibit thresholds that generally delineate regions for their computational techniques. For the problem at hand, a sequence of integrations with a linear extrapolation as $\varepsilon\rightarrow 0$ may be performed to determine leading coefficients of the $\varepsilon$-expansion numerically. 5. Ultrafast Anisotropic Polarization Dynamics of Electronic Ferroelectrics LuFe2O4

Abstract: Femtosecond time-resolved second harmonic generation (SHG) measurements were performed at room temperature on a single crystal of LuFe2O4, which has recently attracted attention as an electronic ferroelectric material in which polarization occurs due to the real-space arrangement of Fe2+ and Fe3+. We irradiated the crystal with 800 nm laser pulses, traced the subsequent SHG changes, and observed anisotropic polarization dynamics: immediately after photoexcitation, the in-plane (ab-plane) component of the SHG greatly reduced, while the inter-plane (c-axis) SHG increased. This means that a hidden photoexcited state, in which the in-plane charge ordering is broken but the polarization along c-axis direction enhanced, has been created by photoexcitation, indicating that the electronic ferroelectricity can be controlled on a femtosecond scale.

Abstract: We present Ir $4f$ core-level hard-x-ray photoemission spectroscopy (HAXPES) experiments conducted across antiferromagnetic (AFM) ordering transition in Ruddlesden-Popper iridates Sr$_2$IrO$_4$ and Sr$_3$Ir$_2$O$_7$. The Ir $4f$ spectra exhibit distinct changes between the AFM and paramagnetic (PM) phases, with the spectral difference $I_\text{PM}-I_\text{AFM}$ showing a contrasting behavior in the two compounds. By employing computational simulations using the local-density approximation combined with the dynamical mean-field theory method, we elucidate that $I_\text{PM}-I_\text{AFM}$ primary reflects the Slater or Mott-Hubbard character of the AFM insulating state rather than material specific details. This sensitivity to fine low-energy electronic structure arises from the dependence of charge-transfer responses to the sudden creation of a localized core hole on both metal-insulator transitions and long-range AFM ordering. Abstract: We conducted measurements of $K^- + {^3{\rm He}} \to \pi \!Y \!N + N'$ reactions using a $1~{\rm GeV}/c$ $K^-$-beam, with the objective of understanding the broad decay width of $\bar{K} \!N \!N$ (approximately twice as broad as that of $\Lambda(1405)$ considered to be the $\bar{K} \!N$ quasi-bound state). We successfully reproduced distributions of the $\pi \! Y \! N$ invariant mass and momentum transfer for $\pi \! Y \! N$ using model fitting functions for $\bar{K} \!N \!N$ formation and quasi-free $\bar{K}$ absorption (${\rm QF}_{\bar{K}-{\rm abs}}$) processes. The model can describe the experimental data quite well, and four $\bar{K} \! N \! N \to \pi \! Y \! N $ cross-sections were obtained. The results indicate that mesonic decay is the dominant decay branch of $\bar{K} \! N \! N$. The results also suggest that $\Gamma_{\pi \Lambda N} \sim \Gamma_{\pi \Sigma N}$, which indicates that the $I_{\bar{K} \! N}=1$ absorption channel, in addition to the $I_{\bar{K} \! N}=0$ absorption channel, substantially contribute to the $\bar{K} \! N \! N$ decay, making the $\bar{K} \! N \! N$ state approximately twice as unstable as $\Lambda$(1405).

8. Near-Ultraviolet Radiation toward Molecular Cloud N4 in W 50/SS 433: Evidence for Direct Interaction of the Jet with Molecular Cloud

Abstract: We compared the molecular clouds in the western part of SS 433 with near-ultraviolet radiation data obtained from GALEX. Near-ultraviolet radiation is prominently confirmed toward only N4, while no near-ultraviolet radiation is detected toward N1, N2, and N3. The radiative region of near-ultraviolet radiation is nearly the same as the CO-emitting region in N4, and does not extend beyond the jet seen in X-ray radiation. Near-ultraviolet radiation cannot be explained solely by broadband continuous radiation and may originate from line emissions. The intensity of near-ultraviolet radiation exhibits an anti-correlation with that of 13CO(J=3-2) emission. This anti-correlation, along with strong far-infrared radiation in the region with weaker near-ultraviolet radiation intensity compared to its surroundings, suggests that near-ultraviolet radiation originates from behind the molecular cloud, heating up the interstellar dust in N4. Subsequently, the dust in N4 re-radiates in the far-infrared band. In the same region, a high peak T_MB ratio of 12CO(J=3-2)/12CO(J=1-0) of ~0.9, and a high kinetic temperature of T_k ~56 K in the molecular cloud indicate that CO molecules are highly excited, and the molecular cloud is heated through photoelectric heating. This heating results from electrons released due to the photoelectric effect caused by the phenomenon where interstellar dust absorbs near-ultraviolet radiation. In terms of the timescale of near-ultraviolet radiation originating from line emissions, near-ultraviolet radiation towards N4 cannot be explained by the shock of the blast wave from a supernova that created W 50. These findings also suggest that N4 directly interacts with the jet from SS 433. Abstract: We report the ground-state symmetry of the Ce $4f$ states in the heavy fermion superconductor CeNi$_{2}$Ge$_{2}$, yielding anisotropic $cf$-hybridization between the Ce $4f$ states and conducting electrons. By analyzing linear dichroism in soft x-ray absorption and core-level hard x-ray photoemission spectra, the $4f$ symmetry is determined as $\Sigma$-type $\Gamma_{7}$, promoting predominant hybridization with the conducting electrons originating from the Ge site. The band structures probed by the soft x-ray angle-resolved photoemission indicates that the Ge $4p$ components contribute to the band renormalization through the anisotropic hybridization effects, suggesting that the control of the electronic structures of Ge orbital gives an impact to achieve the exotic phenomena in CeNi$_{2}$Ge$_{2}$.

Abstract: In this study, we investigate the bulk electronic structure of Pb-substituted LaO$_{0.5}$F$_{0.5}$BiS$_2$ single crystals, using two types of hard-x-ray spectroscopy. High-energy-resolution fluorescence-detected x-ray absorption spectroscopy revealed a spectral change at low temperatures. Using density functional theory (DFT) simulations, we find that the temperature-induced change originates from a structural phase transition, similar to the pressure-induced transition in LaO$_{0.5}$F$_{0.5}$BiS$_2$. This finding suggests that the mechanism of bulk superconductivity induced by Pb substitution is the same as that under high pressure. Abstract: We measured a set of $\pi^\pm\Sigma^\mp$, $\pi^0\Sigma^0$, and $\pi^-\Sigma^0$ invariant mass spectra below and above the $\bar{K}N$ mass threshold in $K^-$-induced reactions on deuteron. We deduced the $S$-wave $\bar{K}N\rightarrow\pi\Sigma$ and $\bar{K}N\rightarrow\bar{K}N$ scattering amplitudes in the isospin 0 channel in the framework of a $\bar{K}N$ and $\pi\Sigma$ coupled channel. We find that a resonance pole corresponding to $\Lambda(1405)$ is located at 1417.7$^{+6.0}_{-7.4}$(fitting errors)$^{+1.1}_{-1.0}$(systematic errors) + $[-26.1^{+6.0}_{-7.9}$(fitting errors)$^{+1.7}_{-2.0}$(systematic errors)]$i$ MeV/$c^2$, closer to the $\bar{K}N$ mass threshold than the value determined by the Particle Data Group., Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures

Abstract: We have carried out exclusive measurements for the photoproduction of an $\eta$ meson from a proton target with an egg-shaped calorimeter made of BGO crystals (BGOegg) and forward charged-particle detectors at the SPring-8 LEPS2 beamline. The differential cross sections and photon beam asymmetries of the $\gamma p \to \eta p$ reaction are measured in a center-of-mass energy ($W$) range of $1.82$-$2.32$ GeV and a polar angle range of $-1.0 < \cos{\theta^{\eta}_{\mathrm{c.m.}}} < 0.6$. The reaction is identified by selecting a proton and two $\gamma$'s produced by an $\eta$-meson decay. The kinematic fit method was employed to select the reaction candidate with the confidence level larger than $1$\%. A bump structure at $W$ = $2.0$-$2.3$ GeV in the differential cross section is confirmed at extremely backward $\eta$ polar angles, where the existing data are inconsistent with each other. This bump structure is likely associated with high-spin resonances that couple with $s\bar{s}$ quarks. The results of the photon beam asymmetries in a wide $\eta$ polar angle range are new for the photon beam energies exceeding $2.1$ GeV. These results are not reproduced by the existing partial wave analyses. They provide an additional constraint to nucleon resonance studies at high energies., Comment: 16 pages, 11 figures

Abstract: Coherent photoproduction of the neutral pion and eta meson on the deuteron, $\gamma{d}${$\to$}$\pi^0\eta{d}$, has been experimentally studied at incident photon energies ranging from the reaction threshold to 1.15 GeV. The total cross section demonstrates a rapid rise below 1 GeV. The data are underestimated by the existing theoretical calculations based on quasi-free $\pi^0 \eta$ photoproduction on the nucleon followed by deuteron coalescence. At the same time, the data are rather well reproduced by the calculations taking into account the final-state interaction. We have also measured for the first time the differential cross sections: the $\pi^0 \eta$ invariant-mass distribution $d\sigma/dM_{\pi \eta}$, the $\pi^0 d$ invariant-mass distribution $d\sigma/dM_{\pi d}$, the $\eta d$ invariant-mass distribution $d\sigma/dM_{\eta d}$, and the distribution over the deuteron emission angle $d\sigma/d\Omega_d$ in the overall center-of-mass frame. The measured cross section $d\sigma/d\Omega_d$ does not exhibit strongly backward-peaking behavior predicted by the calculations. At all incident energies, an increase in $d\sigma/dM_{\eta d}$ near the $\eta d$ threshold is observed, which indicates a bound or virtual $\eta d$ state resulting from a strong attraction between $\eta$ and a deuteron. The possibilities of using coherent $\pi^0\eta$ photoproduction on a nucleus to study the $\eta$-nuclear interaction are also discussed., Comment: 15 pages, 9 figures

Abstract: We have constructed a new laser-Compton-scattering facility, called the LEPS2 beamline, at the 8-GeV electron storage ring, SPring-8. This facility provides a linearly polarized photon beam in a tagged energy range of 1.3--2.4 GeV. Thanks to a small divergence of the low-emittance storage-ring electrons, the tagged photon beam has a size (sigma) suppressed to about 4 mm even after it travels about 130 m to the experimental building that is independent of the storage ring building and contains large detector systems. This beamline is designed to achieve a photon beam intensity higher than that of the first laser-Compton-scattering beamline at SPring-8 by adopting the simultaneous injection of up to four high-power laser beams and increasing a transmittance for the long photon-beam path up to about 77%. The new beamline is under operation for hadron photoproduction experiments.

Abstract: The dynamic interactions between pairs of swimming microorganisms underpin the collective behaviour of larger suspensions, but accurately calculating pairwise collisions has typically required the use of numerical simulations in which hydrodynamic interactions are fully resolved. In this paper, we utilise analytical expressions for forces and torques acting on two closely separated spherical squirmers -- accurate to second order in the ratio of cell-cell spacing to squirmer radius -- in order to calculate their scattering dynamics. Attention is limited to squirmers whose orientation vectors lie in the same plane. We characterise the outgoing angles of pairs of bottom-heavy squirmers in terms of their incoming angles, the squirmer parameter $\beta$, and the strength of the external gravitational field, discovering transient scattering, stationary bound states, pairwise swimming motion, and circular orbits. These results compare well with full numerical solutions obtained using boundary element methods, highlighting the utility of lubrication theory. Abstract: $\bar K$-nuclear bound systems, kaonic nuclei, have been widely discussed as products of the strongly attractive $\bar K N$ interaction in $I = 0$ channels. Recently, we demonstrated that kaonic nuclei can be produced via in-flight $(K^-,N)$ reactions using the low-momentum DC kaon beam at the J-PARC E15 experiment. We observed the simplest kaonic nuclei, $K^-pp$, having a much deeper binding energy than normal nuclei. For further studies, we have proposed a series of experimental programs for the systematic investigation of light kaonic nuclei, from $\bar K N$ ($\Lambda(1405)$) to $\bar K NNNN$. Abstract: Superconducting parametrons in the single-photon Kerr regime, also called KPOs, have been attracting increasing attention in terms of their applications to quantum annealing and universal quantum computation. It is of practical importance to obtain information of superconducting parametrons operating under an oscillating pump field. Spectroscopy can provide information of a superconducting parametron under examination, such as energy level structure, and also useful information for calibration of the pump field. We theoretically study the reflection spectroscopy of superconducting parametrons, and develop a method to obtain the reflection coefficient. We present formulae of the reflection coefficient, the nominal external and the internal decay rates, and examine the obtained spectra. It is shown that the difference of the populations of energy levels manifests itself as a dip or peak in the amplitude of the reflection coefficient, and one can directly extract the coupling strength between the energy levels by measuring the nominal decay rates when the pump field is sufficiently large.

Abstract: To investigate the interaction between the nucleon $N$ and nucleon resonance $N(1535)1/2^-$, the $\eta d$ threshold structure connected to the isoscalar $S$-wave $N$-$N(1535)1/2^-$ system has been experimentally studied in the $\gamma{d}${$\to$}$\pi^0\eta{d}$ reaction at incident photon energies ranging from the reaction threshold to 1.15 GeV. A strong enhancement is observed near the $\eta d$ threshold over the three-body phase-space contribution in the $\eta d$ invariant-mass distribution. An analysis incorporating the known isovector resonance $\mathcal{D}_{12}$ with a spin-parity of $2^+$ in the $\pi^0d$ channel reveals the existence of a narrow isoscalar resonance-like structure with $1^-$ in the $\eta d$ system. Using a Flatt\'e parametrization, the mass is found to be $2.427_{-0.006}^{+0.013}$ GeV, close to the $\eta d$ threshold, and the width is $\left(0.029_{-0.029}^{+0.006}{\rm\ GeV}\right)+\left(0.00_{-0.00}^{+0.41}\right) p_\eta c$, where $p_\eta$ denotes the $\eta$ momentum in the rest frame of the $\eta d$ system. The observed structure would be attributed to a predicted isoscalar $1^-$ $\eta NN$ bound state from $\eta NN$ and $\pi NN$ coupled-channel calculation, or an $\eta d$ virtual state owing to strong $\eta d$ attraction., Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures

21. Evolution of charge dynamics in FeSe$_{1-x}$Te$_{x}$: Effects of electronic correlations and nematicity

Abstract: We systematically studied in-plane optical conductivity of FeSe$_{1-x}$Te$_{x}$ thin films fabricated on CaF$_{2}$ substrates for $x$ = 0, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.4. This system shows a large enhancement of superconducting transition temperature $T_{\mathrm{c}}$ at $x \sim$ 0.2 and a gentle decrease in $T_{\mathrm{c}}$ with further increasing $x$. The low-energy optical conductivity spectrum is described by the sum of narrow and broad Drude components, associated with coherent and incoherent charge dynamics, respectively. With increasing Te content, the spectral weight of the narrow Drude component decreases, while the total weight of the two Drude components increases. As a consequence, the fraction of the narrow Drude weight significantly decreases, indicating that Te substitution leads to stronger electronic correlations. Below the nematic transition temperature, the narrow Drude weight decreases with decreasing temperature. This indicates the reduction of the coherent carrier density, resulting from the Fermi-surface modification induced by the development of the orbital order. The reduction of the narrow Drude weight with temperature stopped at $x \sim$ 0.2, corresponding to the disappearance of the nematic transition. Our result suggests that the increase in the coherent carrier density induced by the suppression of the nematic transition gives rise to the enhancement of $T_{\mathrm{c}}$. The decrease in $T_{\mathrm{c}}$ with further Te substitution likely arises from too strong electronic correlations, which are not favorable for superconductivity., Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures

Abstract: We developed a CANDLES-III system to study the neutrino-less double beta (0$\nu\beta\beta$) decay of $^{48}$Ca. The proposed system employs 96 CaF$_{2}$ scintillation crystals (305 kg) with natural Ca ($^{\rm nat.}$Ca) isotope which corresponds 350\,g of $^{48}$Ca. External backgrounds were rejected using a 4$\pi$ active shield of a liquid scintillator surrounding the CaF$_2$ crystals. The internal backgrounds caused by the radioactive impurities within the CaF$_2$ crystals can be reduced effectively through analysis of the signal pulse shape. We analyzed the data obtained in the Kamioka underground for a live-time of 130.4\,days to evaluate the feasibility of the low background measurement with the CANDLES-III detector. Using Monte Carlo simulations, we estimated the background rate from the radioactive impurities in the CaF$_{2}$ crystals and the rate of high energy $\gamma$-rays caused by the (n, $\gamma$) reactions induced by environmental neutrons. The expected background rate was in a good agreement with the measured rate, i.e., approximately 10$^{-3}$ events/keV/yr/(kg of $^{\rm nat.}$Ca), in the 0$\nu\beta\beta$ window. In conclusion, the background candidates were estimated properly by comparing the measured energy spectrum with the background simulations. With this measurement method, we performed the first search for 0$\nu\beta\beta$ decay in a low background condition using a detector with a Ca isotope, in which the Ca present was not enriched, in a scale of hundreds of kg. The $^{48}$Ca isotope has a high potential for use in 0$\nu\beta\beta$ decay search, and is expected to be useful for the development of a next-generation detector for highly sensitive measurements., Comment: 26 pages, 9 figures, submitted to Physical Review D

Abstract: We have performed an exclusive measurement of the $K^{-}+\! ~^{3}{\rm He} \to \Lambda pn$ reaction at an incident kaon momentum of $1\ {\rm GeV}/c$.In the $\Lambda p$ invariant mass spectrum, a clear peak was observed below the mass threshold of $\bar{K}\!+\!N\!+\!N$, as a signal of the kaonic nuclear bound state, $\bar{K}NN$.The binding energy, decay width, and $S$-wave Gaussian reaction form-factor of this state were observed to be $B_{K} = 42\pm3({\rm stat.})^{+3}_{-4}({\rm syst.})\ {\rm MeV}$, $\Gamma_{K} = 100\pm7({\rm stat.})^{+19}_{-9}({\rm syst.})\ {\rm MeV}$, and $Q_{K} = 383\pm11({\rm stat.})^{+4}_{-1}({\rm syst.})\ {\rm MeV}/c$, respectively. The total production cross-section of $\bar{K}NN$, determined by its $\Lambda p$ decay mode, was $\sigma^{tot}_{K} \cdot BR_{\Lambda p} = 9.3\pm0.8({\rm stat.})^{+1.4}_{-1.0}({\rm syst.})\ \mu{\rm b}$.We estimated the branching ratio of the $\bar{K}NN$ state to the $\Lambda p$ and $\Sigma^{0}p$ decay modes as $BR_{\Lambda p}/BR_{\Sigma^{0}p} \sim 1.7$, by assuming that the physical processes leading to the $\Sigma N\!N$ final states are analogous to those of $\Lambda pn$., Comment: 13 pages, 12 figures

Abstract: We measured missing mass spectrum of the $^{12}{\rm C}(\gamma,p)$ reaction for the first time in coincidence with potential decay products from $\eta'$ bound nuclei. We tagged an ($\eta+p$) pair associated with the $\eta'N\to\eta N$ process in a nucleus. After applying kinematical selections to reduce backgrounds, no signal events were observed in the bound-state region. An upper limit of the signal cross section in the opening angle $\cos\theta^{\eta p}_{lab}<-0.9$ was obtained to be 2.2 nb/sr at the 90$\%$ confidence level. It is compared with theoretical cross sections, whose normalization ambiguity is suppressed by measuring a quasifree $\eta'$ production rate. Our results indicate a small branching fraction of the $\eta'N\to\eta N$ process and/or a shallow $\eta'$-nucleus potential., Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures

25. Rheology of a concentrated suspension of spherical squirmers: monolayer in simple shear flow

Abstract: A concentrated, vertical monolayer of identical spherical squirmers, which may be bottom-heavy, and which are subjected to a linear shear flow, is modelled computationally by two different methods: Stokesian dynamics, and a lubrication-theory-based method. Inertia is negligible. The aim is to compute the effective shear viscosity and, where possible, the normal stress differences as functions of the areal fraction of spheres $\phi$, the squirming parameter $\beta$ (proportional to the ratio of a squirmer's active stresslet to its swimming speed), the ratio $Sq$ of swimming speed to a typical speed of the shear flow, the bottom-heaviness parameter $G_{bh}$, the angle $\alpha$ that the shear flow makes with the horizontal, and two parameters that define the repulsive force that is required computationally to prevent the squirmers from overlapping when their distance apart is less than a critical value $\epsilon a$, where $\epsilon$ is very small and $a$ is the sphere radius. The Stokesian dynamics method allows the rheological quantities to be computed for values of $\phi$ up to $0.75$; the lubrication-theory method can be used for $\phi> 0.5$. A major finding of this work is that, despite very different assumptions, the two methods of computation give overlapping results for viscosity as a function of $\phi$ in the range $0.5 < \phi < 0.75$. This suggests that lubrication theory, based on near-field interactions alone, contains most of the relevant physics, and that taking account of interactions with more distant particles than the nearest is not essential to describe the dominant physics., Comment: 24 pages, 13 figures, 1 table

Abstract: Hadron scattering and production uncertainties are a limiting systematic on accelerator and at-mospheric neutrino flux predictions. New hadron measurements are necessary for neutrino fluxpredictions with well-understood and reduced uncertainties. We propose a new compact experimentto measure hadron scattering and production cross sections at beam energies that are inaccessibleto currently operating experiments. These measurements can reduce the current 10% neutrino fluxuncertainties by an approximate factor of two.

Abstract: Photoproduction of the $\omega$ meson on the proton has been experimentally studied near the threshold. The total cross sections are determined at incident energies ranging from 1.09 to 1.15 GeV. The 1/2 and 3/2 spin-averaged scattering length $a_{\omega p}$ and effective range $r_{\omega p}$ between the $\omega$ meson and proton are estimated from the shape of the total cross section as a function of the incident photon energy: $a_{\omega p} = \left(-0.97^{+0.16_{\rm stat}}_{-0.16_{\rm stat}}{}^{+0.03_{\rm syst}}_{-0.00_{\rm syst}}\right)+i \left(0.07^{+0.15_{\rm stat}}_{-0.14_{\rm stat}}{}^{+0.17_{\rm syst}}_{-0.09_{\rm syst}}\right)$ fm and $r_{\omega p}=\left(+2.78^{+0.68_{\rm stat}}_{-0.54_{\rm stat}}{}^{+0.11_{\rm syst}}_{-0.13_{\rm syst}}\right)+i\left(-0.01^{+0.46_{\rm stat}}_{-0.50_{\rm stat}}{}^{+0.07_{\rm syst}}_{-0.00_{\rm syst}}\right)$ fm, resulting in a repulsive force. The real and imaginary parts for $a_{\omega p}$ and $r_{\omega p}$ are determined separately for the first time. Next-generation MWA is reported to create a more spherical ablation zone than radiofrequency ablation (RFA). We compared the ablation zone and aspect ratio of two 2.45 GHz MWA ablation probes; Emprint® (13G) and Mimapro® (17G). We compared the ablation zone to the applied energy after MWA in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Furthermore, we investigated local recurrence.Materials and Methods: We included 20 patients with HCC, with an average tumour diameter of 33.2 ± 12.2 mm, who underwent MWA using Emprint®, and 9 patients who underwent MWA using Mimapro® with an average tumour diameter of 31.1 ± 10.5 mm. Both groups underwent the same ablation protocol using the same power settings. The images obtained after MWA showed the treatment ablation zone and aspect ratio, which were measured and compared using three-dimensional image analysis software.Results: The aspect ratios in the Emprint® and Mimapro® groups were 0.786 ± 0.105 and 0.808 ± 0.122, respectively, with no significant difference (p = 0.604). The ablation time was significantly shorter in the Mimapro® group than in the Emprint® group, and there was no significant difference in the frequency of popping or the ablation volume. There were no significant differences in local recurrence between the two groups.Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the aspect ratios of the ablation diameter, and the ablation zone was almost spherical in both cases. Therefore, in this study, we retrospectively evaluated schizophrenia patients with available data for 20 years to determine whether the drug treatments in the same patients have changed in the past 20 years.Methods: The study began in April 2021 and was conducted in 15 psychiatric hospitals in Japan. Schizophrenia patients treated in the same hospital for 20 years were retrospectively examined for all prescriptions in 2016, 2011, 2006, and 2001 (ie, every 5 years).Results: The mean age of the 716 patients surveyed in 2021 was 61.7 years, with 49.0% being female. The rate of antipsychotic monotherapy use showed a slight increasing trend over the past 20 years; the rate of SGA use showed a marked increasing trend from 28.9% to 70.3% over the past 20 years, while the rate of SGA monotherapy use showed a gradual increasing trend over the past 20 years. The rates of concomitant use of anticholinergics, antidepressants, anxiolytics/sleep medications, and mood stabilizers showed decreasing, flat, flat, and flat trends over the past 20 years, respectively.Conclusion: The results of this study showed a slow but steady substitution of SGAs for first-generation antipsychotics (FGAs) over time, even in the same patients.Keywords: pharmacoepidemiology, prescription, antipsychotics, trends, schizophrenia

Abstract: We study $\eta$ photoproduction off the deuteron ($\gamma d\to\eta pn$) at a special kinematics: $\sim 0.94$ GeV of the photon beam energy and $\sim 0^\circ$ of the scattering angle of the proton. This kinematics is ideal to extract the low-energy $\eta$-nucleon scattering parameters such as $a_{\eta N}$ (scattering length) and $r_{\eta N}$ (effective range) because the $\eta$-nucleon elastic scattering is significantly enhanced. We show that if a ratio $R$, the $\gamma d\to\eta pn$ cross section divided by the $\gamma p\to\eta p$ cross section convoluted with the proton momentum distribution in the deuteron, is measured with 5% error, ${\rm Re}[a_{\eta N}]$ (${\rm Re}[r_{\eta N}]$) can be determined at the precision of $\sim\pm$0.1 fm ($\sim\pm$0.5 fm), significantly narrowing down the currently estimated range of the parameters. Abstract: We observed a distinct peak in the $\Lambda p$ invariant mass spectrum of $^{3}{\rm He}(K^-, \, \Lambda p)n$, well below the mass threshold of $m_K + 2 m_p$. By selecting a relatively large momentum-transfer region $q = 350 \sim 650$ MeV/$c$, one can clearly separate the peak from the quasi-free process, $\overline{K}N \rightarrow \overline{K}N$ followed by the non-resonant absorption by the two spectator-nucleons $\overline{K}NN \rightarrow \Lambda N $. We found that the simplest fit to the observed peak gives us a Breit-Wigner pole position at $B_{\rm {\it Kpp}} = 47 \pm 3 \, (stat.) \,^{+3}_{-6} \,(sys.)$ MeV having a width $\Gamma_{\rm {\it Kpp}} = 115 \pm 7 \, (stat.) \,^{+10}_{-9} \,(sys.)$ MeV, and the $S$-wave Gaussian reaction form-factor parameter $Q_{\rm {\it Kpp}} = 381 \pm 14 \, (stat.)\,^{+57}_{-0} \,(sys.)$ MeV/$c$, as a new form of the nuclear bound system with strangeness -- "$K^-pp$"., Comment: 17 pages, 4 figures

Abstract: Coherent double neutral-pion photoproduction on the deuteron, $\gamma{d}${$\to$}$\pi^0\pi^0{d}$, has been experimentally studied at incident photon energies ranging from 0.75 to 1.15 GeV. The total cross section as a function of the $\gamma{d}$ center-of-mass energy shows resonance-like behavior, which peaks at approximately 2.47 and 2.63 GeV. The measured angular distribution of deuteron emission is rather flat, which cannot be reproduced by the kinematics of quasi-free $\pi^0\pi^0$ production with deuteron coalescence. In $\pi^0d $ invariant-mass distributions, a clear peak is observed at $2.14{\pm}0.01$ GeV$/c^2$ with a width of $0.09{\pm}0.01$ GeV$/c^2$. The spin-parity of this state is restricted to $1^+$, $2^+$ or $3^-$ from the angular distributions of the two $\pi^0$s. The present work shows strong evidence for the existence of an isovector dibaryon resonance with a mass of 2.14 GeV$/c^2$. The $2^+$ assignment is consistent with the theoretically predicted ${\cal{D}}_{12}$ state, and also with the energy dependence of the $\pi{d}$ partial-wave amplitude $^3\!P_2$ for the $\pi^{\pm}d${$\to$}$\pi^{\pm}d$ and $\pi^+d${$\to$}${pp}$ reactions., Comment: 12 pages, 6 figures

We retrospectively evaluated the patients’ characteristics, biomarkers, number of exacerbations, pulmonary function, asthma symptoms, maintenance oral corticosteroid (OCS) dose and CRR.Results: The mean observation period was 38.3 (24– 49) months. Among the 23 patients, 10 patients switched from mepolizumab to benralizumab. After administration of benralizumab, the forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) increased and was maintained for two years in the biologic-naïve group and in the switching group (177 ± 404 and 151 ± 236 [mL], respectively, P = 0.80). In all patients, the %FEV1 improved from 76.7 ± 22.9% to 84.3 ± 18.4% (P = 0.016), and the number of annual exacerbations decreased from 2.5 ± 3.3 to 0.74 ± 1.7 (P = 0.014). Furthermore, the Asthma Control Test score significantly improved, and the reduction in OCS dose was maintained for three years. Ultimately, five patients met the clinical remission criteria and exhibited stabilization of pulmonary function, no exacerbation, no OCS use and well-controlled symptoms. The CRR was significantly higher in patients with a blood basophil count (BBC) ≥ 22 than in those with a BBC < 22 (/μL) (38.5% vs 0%, respectively, P = 0.046).Conclusion: Long-term treatment with benralizumab significantly improved pulmonary function, alleviated asthma symptoms and decreased the number of exacerbations at two years in a real-world setting. 44. A development of an accelerator board dedicated for multi-precision arithmetic operations and its application to Feynman loop integrals II

Abstract: Evaluation of a wide variety of Feynman diagrams with multi-loop integrals and physical parameters and its comparison with high energy experiments are expected to investigate new physics beyond the Standard Model. We have been developing a direct computation method of multi-loop integrals of Feynman diagrams. One of features of our method is that we adopt the double exponential rule for numerical integrations which enables us to evaluate loop integrals with boundary singularities. Another feature is that in order to accelerate the numerical integrations with multi-precision calculations, we develop an accelerator system with Field Programmable Gate Array boards on which processing elements with dedicated logic for quadruple/hexuple/octuple precision arithmetic operations are implemented. In addition, we also develop a programming interface designed for easy use of the system. The development is continued for practical use of the system. Abstract: Introduction: While paediatric arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) often require aggressive therapeutic intervention due to their high bleeding incidence, choosing a course of treatment for deep and eloquent areas and asymptomatic cases is difficult. Sequelae are a concern in children, as they survive for longer after treatment. The authors have long recommended and implemented staged Gamma Knife radiosurgery (GKRS) in their treatment guidelines to maximise therapeutic effects. Methods: Fifty-eight paediatric patients with AVM and ≤15 years old who underwent GKRS under general anesthesia from 2002 to 2020 were followed up for an average of 81·5 months. Obliteration dynamics and clinical outcomes were analysed. Results: The mean patient age was 10·5 years. The mean nidus volume was 6·6 cm3, the complete occlusion rate was 69%, the annual post-irradiation bleeding rate was 2·19% and nine (16%) cases had transient radiation-induced changes. One (1·7%) patient had sequela, and three (5·1%) developed encapsulated hematomas and cysts. Additionally, the 3- and 5-year cumulative occlusion rates were 39·0% and 53·3%, respectively. Multivariate analysis showed significantly higher occlusion rates in patients ≤12 years old and with a nidus volume of ≤4 cm3. Conclusions: GKRS is a useful treatment for paediatric AVM; however, its use poses some challenges. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: We study the electronic structure of Tsai-type cluster-based quasicrystalline approximants, Au$_{64}$Ge$_{22}$Yb$_{14}$ (AGY-I), Au$_{63.5}$Ge$_{20.5}$Yb$_{16}$ (AGY-II), and Zn$_{85.4}$Yb$_{14.6}$ (Zn-Yb), by means of photoemission spectroscopy. In the valence band hard x-ray photoemission spectra of AGY-II and Zn-Yb, we separately observe a fully occupied Yb 4$f$ state and a valence fluctuation derived Kondo resonance peak, reflecting two inequivalent Yb sites, a single Yb atom in the cluster center and its surrounding Yb icosahedron, respectively. The fully occupied 4$f$ signal is absent in AGY-I containing no Yb atom in the cluster center. The results provide direct evidence for a heterogeneous valence state in AGY-II and Zn-Yb.

Abstract: We report the measurement of the $\gamma p \rightarrow K^{+}\Lambda$ and $\gamma p \rightarrow K^{+}\Sigma^{0}$ reactions at SPring-8. The differential cross sections and photon-beam asymmetries are measured at forward $K^{+}$ production angles using linearly polarized tagged-photon beams in the range of $E_{\gamma}=1.5$--3.0 GeV. With increasing photon energy, the cross sections for both $\gamma p \rightarrow K^{+}\Lambda$ and $\gamma p \rightarrow K^{+}\Sigma^{0}$ reactions decrease slowly. Distinct narrow structures in the production cross section have not been found at $E_{\gamma}=1.5$--3.0 GeV. The forward peaking in the angular distributions of cross sections, a characteristic feature of $t$-channel exchange, is observed for the production of $\Lambda$ in the whole observed energy range. A lack of similar feature for $\Sigma^{0}$ production reflects a less dominant role of $t$-channel contribution in this channel. The photon-beam asymmetries remain positive for both reactions, suggesting the dominance of $K^{*}$ exchange in the $t$ channel. These asymmetries increase gradually with the photon energy, and have a maximum value of +0.6 for both reactions. Comparison with theoretical predictions based on the Regge trajectory in the $t$ channel and the contributions of nucleon resonances indicates the major role of $t$-channel contributions as well as non-negligible effects of nucleon resonances in accounting for the reaction mechanism of hyperon photoproduction in this photon energy regime., Comment: published version, two-column format, 10 pages, 8 figures

Abstract: A large-acceptance spectrometer, Neutral Kaon Spectrometer 2 (NKS2), was newly constructed to explore various photoproduction reactions in the gigaelectronvolt region at the Laboratory of Nuclear Science (LNS, currently ELPH), Tohoku University. The spectrometer consisted of a dipole magnet, drift chambers, and plastic scintillation counters. NKS2 was designed to separate pions and protons in a momentum range of less than 1 GeV/$c$, and was placed in a tagged photon beamline. A cryogenic H$_{2}$/D$_{2}$ target fitted to the spectrometer were designed. The design and performance of the detectors are described.
