BACKGROUND: Self-guided web-based interventions have the potential of addressing help-seeking barriers and symptoms common among university students, such as depression and anxiety. Unfortunately, self-guided interventions are also associated with less adherence, implicating motivation as a potential moderator for adherence and improvement for such interventions. Previous studies examining motivation as a moderator or predictor of improvement on web-based interventions have defined and measured motivation variably, producing conflicting results. OBJECTIVE: This secondary analysis of data from a randomized controlled trial aimed to examine constructs of motivation as moderators of improvement for a self-guided 8-week web-based intervention in university students (N=1607). METHODS: Tested moderators included internal motivation, external motivation, and confidence in treatment derived from the Treatment Motivation Questionnaire. The primary outcome was an improvement in depression and anxiety measured by the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21. RESULTS: Piecewise linear mixed effects models showed that internal motivation significantly moderated symptom change for the intervention group (t1504=-2.94; P=.003) at average and high (+1 SD) motivation levels (t1507=-2.28; P=.02 and t1507=-4.05; P

Introduction: Human metabolism is sustained by functional networks that operate at diverse scales. Capturing local and global dynamics in the human body by hierarchically bridging multi-scale functional networks is a major challenge in physiological modeling. Objectives: To develop an interactive, user-friendly web application that facilitates the simulation and visualization of advection-dispersion transport in three-dimensional (3D) microvascular networks, biochemical exchange, and metabolic reactions in the tissue layer surrounding the vasculature. Methods: To help modelers combine and simulate biochemical processes occurring at multiple scales, KiPhyNet deploys our discrete graph-based modeling framework that bridges functional networks existing at diverse scales. KiPhyNet is implemented in Python based on Apache web server using MATLAB as the simulator engine. KiPhyNet provides the functionality to assimilate multi-omics data from clinical and experimental studies as well as vascular data from imaging studies to investigate the role of structural changes in vascular topology on the functional response of the tissue. Results: With the network topology, its biophysical attributes, values of initial and boundary conditions, parameterized kinetic constants, biochemical species-specific transport properties such as diffusivity as inputs, a user can use our application to simulate and view the simulation results. The results of steady-state velocity and pressure fields and dynamic concentration fields can be interactively examined. Conclusion: KiPhyNet provides barrier-free access to perform time-course simulation experiments by building multi-scale models of microvascular networks in physiology, using a discrete modeling framework. This tutorial is designed for speech scientists familiar with the R programming language who wish to construct experiment interfaces in R. We begin by discussing some of the benefits of building experiment interfaces in R—including R's existing tools for speech data analysis, platform independence, suitability for web-based testing, and the fact that R is open source. We explain basic concepts of reactive programming in R, and we apply these principles by detailing the development of two sample experiments. The first of these experiments comprises a speech production task in which participants are asked to read words with different emotions. The second sample experiment involves a speech perception task, in which participants listen to recorded speech and identify the emotion the talker expressed with forced-choice questions and confidence ratings. Throughout this tutorial, we introduce the new R package speechcollectr, which provides functions uniquely suited to web-based speech data collection. The package streamlines the code required for speech experiments by providing functions for common tasks like documenting participant consent, collecting participant demographic information, recording audio, checking the adequacy of a participant's microphone or headphones, and presenting audio stimuli. Background: The online BeUpstanding™ program is an eight-week workplace-delivered intervention for desk-based workers to raise awareness of the benefits of sitting less and moving more and build a supportive culture for change. A workplace representative (the "champion") delivers the program, which includes a workshop where teams collectively choose their sit less/move more strategies. A toolkit provides the champion with a step-by-step guide and associated resources to support program uptake, delivery, and evaluation. Here we report on the main findings from the Australian national implementation trial of BeUpstanding. Methods: Recruitment (12/06/2019 to 30/09/2021) was supported by five policy and practice partners, with desk-based work teams from across Australia targeted. Effectiveness was measured via a single arm, repeated-measures trial. Data were collected via online surveys, toolkit analytics, and telephone calls with champions. The RE-AIM framework guided evaluation, with adoption/reach (number and characteristics); effectiveness (primary: self-reported workplace sitting time); implementation (completion of core components; costs); and, maintenance intentions reported here. Linear mixed models, correcting for cluster, were used for effectiveness, with reach, adoption, implementation, and maintenance outcomes described. Results: Of the 1640 website users who signed-up to BeUpstanding during the recruitment period, 233 were eligible, 198 (85%) provided preliminary consent, and 118 (50.6%) champions consented and started the trial, with 94% (n = 111 champions) completing. Trial participation was from across Australia and across industries, and reached 2,761 staff, with 2,248 participating in the staff survey(s): 65% female; 64% university educated; 17% from a non-English speaking background. The program effectively changed workplace sitting (-38.5 [95%CI -46.0 to -28.7] minutes/8-hour workday) and all outcomes targeted by BeUpstanding (behaviours and culture), with small-to-moderate statistically-significant effects observed. All participating teams (n = 94) completed at least 5/7 core steps; 72.4% completed all seven. Most champions spent $0 (72%) or >$0-$5 (10%) per team member; most (67/70 96%) intended to continue or repeat the program. Conclusions: BeUpstanding can be adopted and successfully implemented by a range of workplaces, reach a diversity of staff, and be effective at creating a supportive culture for teams of desk-based workers to sit less and move more. Background and aims: Alcohol use and anxiety often co‐occur, causing increased severity impairment. This protocol describes a randomized controlled trial (RCT) that aims to test the efficacy and cost‐effectiveness of a web‐based, self‐guided alcohol and anxiety‐focused program, compared with a web‐based brief alcohol‐focused program, for young adults who drink at hazardous levels and experience anxiety. It will also test moderators and mechanisms of change underlying the intervention effects. Design: This RCT will be conducted with a 1:1 parallel group. Setting: The study will be a web‐based trial in Australia. Participants: Individuals aged 17–30 years who drink alcohol at hazardous or greater levels and experience at least mild anxiety (n = 500) will be recruited through social media, media (TV, print) and community networks. Intervention and comparator: Participants will be randomly allocated to receive a web‐based, integrated alcohol‐anxiety program plus technical and motivational telephone/e‐mail support (intervention) or a web‐based brief alcohol‐feedback program (control). Measurements Clinical measures will be assessed at baseline, post‐intervention (2 months), 6 months (primary end‐point), 12 months and 18 months. Co‐primary outcomes are hazardous alcohol consumption and anxiety symptom severity. Secondary outcomes are binge‐drinking frequency; alcohol‐related consequences; depression symptoms; clinical diagnoses of alcohol use or anxiety disorder (at 6 months post‐intervention), health‐care service use, educational and employment outcomes; and quality of life. Mediators and moderators will also be assessed. Efficacy will be tested using mixed models for repeated measures within an intention‐to‐treat framework. The economic evaluation will analyze individual‐level health and societal costs and outcomes of participants between each trial arm, while mediation models will test for mechanisms of change. Comments This will be the first trial to test whether a developmentally targeted, web‐based, integrated alcohol‐anxiety intervention is effective in reducing hazardous alcohol use and anxiety severity among young adults. If successful, the integrated alcohol‐anxiety program will provide an accessible intervention that can be widely disseminated to improve wellbeing of young adults, at minimal cost. This research work ascertained the effect of Visual Basic (VBasic) Programming Instructional Delivery using Web-Based Tools on Students' Interest and Academic Achievement in Universities in Nigeria. The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of Visual Basic (VBasic) Programming Instructional Delivery using Web-Based Tools on Students' Interest and Academic Achievement in Universities in Nigeria. The study embraced a quasi-experimental research design. The respondent for this study comprised 74 students in year two of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndu-ufu Alike and Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki. For the fact that the population is small and manageable, the entire population were studied. Researchers used VBasic Programming Achievement Test (VBPAT) instrument developed to collect data. Visual Basic Achievement Test contained 50-item questions with letter A to D options for each interest scale were used for data collection. The reliability was tested using Cronbach's Alpha. To ensure consistency and integrity, lecturers in the study area. The researchers trained the lecturers on how to distribute the instrument for both the experiment and control groups in order to ensure homogeneous instruction. The lecturers taught the experimental group using the utilization of a web-based approach and the control group using the conventional approach. Scores generated from the experimental test using Visual Basic programming Achievement Test (V + B + PAT), were analysed using mean and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) for answering research questions and to test hypotheses respectively at 0.5 level of significance with the aid of statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 20. The outcome of this study on research question on influence of location on the students' academic achievement mean gain in Vbasic programming language when taught using web-based tool, showed that with the use of web-based tool in the instructional delivery of VBasic programming language brought about better improvement in students' academic achievement. Furthermore, the outcomes of hypothesis tested showed that location is significant source of different in mean achievement scores for students taught with Visual Basic Programming language using web-based approach and visual basic programming using conventional approach. This study has implications for facilitators, learners, curriculum planners, ministries in Education among others. This study found out among others that the facilitators use web-based tools in distance education for quiz, assessment, examinations, and instructional delivery of Vbasic programming language to a less extent in Nigerian Universities. It was concluded therefore, that conventional method is less effective than web-based approach in improving student's achievement in Visual Basic Programming. The current paper aims to conduct a comprehensive systematic review of the existing literature on web‐based Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure practices and introduce suggestions for scholars in this research area. To achieve this main objective, a systematic literature review technique was adopted, consisting of the content analysis of 119 papers from different scientific databases utilizing specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings of the study show that scholars have a strong and continuing interest in a variety of web‐based Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure (CSRD) aspects. Moreover, the investigation revealed that stakeholder, legitimacy, institutional, and Media‐Richness theories were more prevalent in the online CSRD literature. According to the investigation, the two key determinants of online CSRD are firm‐ and country‐level characteristics. The results further confirm that content analysis is the most common research methodology. Furthermore, the bulk of online CSRD studies are from Spain, Malaysia, and the United States. Moreover, findings indicate that samples of 91 up to 200 entities from listed companies from multiple industries and banks are the most common sample sizes and sectors. The review suggests that there is a gap in the use of mixed methodological studies. The current work has some limitations. In more detail, this study limited the search to reviewing 119 papers published in English peer‐reviewed journals that focused on web‐based CSR disclosure practices until February 2023, so there might be other academic studies accidentally missed. Future studies will require a mixed methodological approach, including quantitative (e.g., document analysis) and qualitative research methods (i.e., interviews and case studies), to examine, for example, the determinants (e.g., corporate governance mechanisms, cultural dimensions, ESG performance scores, and prosperity status like country governance, investment environment) and consequences (i.e., corporate cash holdings, credit ratings) of web‐based CSR disclosure in various sectors such as the banking sector, Universities, SMEs, and MNCs. The study reveals a strong interest in web‐based CSR aspects, emphasizing its significance in fostering societal relationships among businesses and their stakeholders. Furthermore, the study suggests that professional bodies, regulators, and policymakers should establish effective standards for CSRD on websites to ensure the quality, quantity, and type of information available. The originality of this paper derives from its being one of the first papers to date that analyses comprehensively and systematically all the articles related to internet CSR disclosure practices and brings out interesting directions for future research. BACKGROUND: Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a highly prevalent childhood and adult behavioral disorder. Internet searches for ADHD information are rising, particularly for diagnosis and treatment. Despite effective ADHD treatments, research suggests that there are delays in seeking help for ADHD. Identifying ways to shorten delays is important for minimizing morbidity associated with ADHD. One way to shorten these delays is to improve internet health information resources. Research shows that parents of children with ADHD feel that much of the information available is technical and not tailored for their childs needs and verbal instructions given by health care providers were too pharmacologically focused with limited information about how to manage and support ADHD symptoms in daily living. A majority of parents search the internet for general and pharmacological information for ADHD and prefer web-based resources for learning about ADHD, but web-based resources may be inaccurate and of low quality. Ensuring accurate information through the internet is an important step in assisting parents and adults in making informed decisions about the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. OBJECTIVE: Although a great deal of information regarding ADHD is available on the internet, some information is not based on scientific evidence or is difficult for stakeholders to understand. Determining gaps in access to accurate ADHD information and stakeholder interest in the type of information desired is important in improving patient engagement with the health care system, but minimal research addresses these needs. This study aims to determine the information needs and formatting needs of web-based content for adults with ADHD and parents of children with ADHD in order to improve user experience and engagement. METHODS: This was a 3-phase study consisting of in-depth phone interviews about experiences with ADHD and barriers searching for ADHD-related information, focus groups where participants were instructed to consider the pathways by which they made decisions using web-based resources, and observing participants interacting with a newly developed website tailored for adults with potential ADHD and caregivers of children who had or might have ADHD. Phase 1 individual interviews and phase 2 focus groups identified the needs of the ADHD stakeholders related to website content and format. Interview and focus group findings were used to develop a website. Phase 3 used think-aloud interviews to evaluate website usability to inform the tailoring of the website based on user feedback. RESULTS: Interviews and focus group findings revealed preferences for ADHD website information and content, website layout, and information sources. Themes included a preference for destigmatizing information about ADHD, information specific to patient demographics, and evidence-based information tailored to lay audiences. CONCLUSIONS: ADHD stakeholders are specifically seeking positive information about ADHD presented in a user-friendly format.

The most important way to prevent a second attack in patients undergoing angioplasty is self-care, which can be influenced by several factors such as the patient’s beliefs. Thus, the present study aimed to determine the effect of a web-based intervention based on the Pender’s health promotion model in patients with cardiovascular disease. Methods The present clinical trial study was conducted with 99 patients undergoing angioplasty treatment referring to Bushehr Heart Specialist Center. Random sampling was done and the participants were divided into two groups (50 subjects in intervention group and 49 subjects in control group). The data collection tool was a three-part questionnaire (including demographic information, a researcher-made questionnaire based on the health promotion model constructs, and self-care behaviors), which was completed in three stages (before, two weeks, and three months after the intervention). In addition to routine hospital services, the intervention group received multimedia training based on the constructs of the Pender’s health promotion model from the website. The control group received usual hospital services. Data were analyzed with chi-square, independent T-test and repeated measure ANOVA using SPSS-22 software. Intervention adaptation is a crucial step toward increasing intervention acceptability and translating evidence-based research into practice and broader use. This article describes a pragmatic approach to optimize intervention adaptation of AMPLIFY (A i M, P lan, and act on LIF est Y les) web-based diet and exercise program for middle-aged and older cancer survivors by applying mixed methods research. A matrix with adaptation phases, elements, and methods is offered as an overarching framework to assist social and behavioral scientists as they pragmatically apply mixed methods to the process of intervention adaptation. This article contributes to mixed methods research by detailing an effective application and integration of mixed methods across the full spectrum of intervention adaptation (from formative assessment to beta-testing to process evaluation during efficacy testing). This work provides online learning modules and instructions on how educators can leverage these technologies to help students learn in a personalized online environment. In particular, we focus on Google Colab, and the features provided by the Gradio Python library to provide interactivity within these modules. The contributions of this work include: (1) Development of a teaching framework using Gradio/Colab that offers automated grading and feedback for both educators and students; (2) Design of a versatile proposal, accommodating beginners with a straightforward interface while addressing the needs of advanced learners; (3) Creation of a comprehensive set of examples tailored for teaching digital logic subjects, with adaptability for application in various computer science areas. (4) A classification of these example learning modules in terms of their learning level for the students; (5) A novel client‐server approach based on Colab/Gradio, allowing teachers to manage the main notebook efficiently while providing a lightweight and reliable interface for students. The goal of this work is to further expose educators to the remarkable capabilities that cloud computing brings to online supplemental education, noting that large language models such as ChatGPT complement this work, in that chatbots will be able to guide students in these dynamic simulations. Introduction: Teleradiology allows distant facilities to electronically transmit images for interpretation, thereby bridging the radiology service gap between urban and rural areas. The technology improves healthcare quality, treatment options, and diagnostic accuracy. However, in low resource settings like Ethiopia, teleradiology services are limited, posing challenges for implementation. Therefore, this study is aimed at exploring the factors that facilitated or hindered the implementation of web‐based teleradiology in the public hospitals of the South Gondar Zone, Northwest Ethiopia. Methods: In this study, a purposive sampling method was employed to select seventeen participants, including hospital managers, physicians, emergency surgeons, and radiologists, for an in‐depth interview (IDI). The interviews were conducted from March to May 2023. A reflexive thematic analysis was conducted using an abductive coding technique at the semantic/explicit level. Data were collected through semistructured interviews conducted face‐to‐face and virtually, with audio recordings transcribed, translated, and analyzed using Open Code version 4.02 software. Trustworthiness was ensured through prolonged engagement, reflective journaling, and review by coauthors. Results: The study examined eight main themes, with barriers to sustainable teleradiology implementation falling into five categories: technological, organizational, environmental, individual, and workflow and communication. Conversely, identified facilitators included improved radiology service efficiency, system accessibility, collaboration opportunities, and user trust in the radiology ecosystem. Within each theme, factors with potential impacts on teleradiology system sustainability were identified, such as the lack of system handover mechanisms, absence of a central image consultation center, and inadequate staffing of full‐time radiologists and technical personnel. Conclusions: The study highlights the positive user perception of a web‐based teleradiology system's user‐friendliness and efficiency. Overcoming challenges and leveraging facilitators are crucial for optimizing teleradiology and improving service delivery and patient outcomes. During the corona pandemic, youths were confronted with substantial challenges and in urgent need of information on how to prevent mental health problems. This experimental pre-post-follow-up study examined the efficacy and reception of an innovative website (www.corona-und-du.info) containing evidence-based information for youths on how to overcome psychological distress during the pandemic. 34 youths aged 11–18 years were presented domains of the website in the laboratory. Standardized questionnaires were applied to assess changes in knowledge, the reception of the website, and changes in behavioral intention to seek psychological help. For all content domains, we found a significant knowledge gain with large effect sizes from pre to post, and from pre to follow-up. The reception of the website was very positive, and participants indicated increased intention to seek psychological support when needed. The results constitute an important basis for future attempts to promote mental health information in youths in times of crisis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Implementing new innovations across the health and social care system is complex, involving many factors that in recent years have been compounded by Covid-19. While a plethora of implementation tools and frameworks are available, there are limitations in terms of their design and accessibility. Co-production is a valuable mechanism for developing tools that have utility and accessibility for those tasked with using them in health and social care organisations and there is growing acknowledgement of increasing the role of co-production in implementation science. This paper provides novel insight into co-production practices and relevance to implementation science by reporting findings from a study to co-produce a web-based implementation toolkit (WIT) that is accessible, usable and designed to support adaptive implementation across health and social care systems. Key themes relating to the process of co-production are outlined and the value of using co-production in implementation processes are discussed. Methods: A web-based survey (n = 36) was conducted with a range of stakeholders across health and social care. Findings identified a need for WIT. Survey respondents were invited to express interest in becoming part of a coproduction group and to take part in three online interactive workshops to co-produce WIT. Workshops took place with the group (n = 12) and focused on key developmental stages of WIT. Results: Online co-production workshops were integral to the development and refinement of WIT. Benefits of using this process identified three interrelated themes: (i) Co-designing key features of the toolkit, (ii) Co-producing a toolkit with utility for users across health and social care settings, (iii) Co-producing a toolkit to support the implementation journey. Our approach of undertaking co-production as a dialogic process enabled generation of these themes. To illuminate discussion of these themes we draw upon iterative co-development of the “active ingredients” of key components (e.g., interactive Implementation Wheel) and functions (e.g., interactive “pop-up” definitions of keyword) and features (e.g., case studies) of WIT. Conclusion: Using a co-production approach with a range of end-users across health and social care systems, highlights the benefits of understanding implementation processes for users in these settings. User-centred design and processes for ensuring accessibility readily support the translation of implementation into rapidly changing health and social care systems to benefit outcomes for patients, their families, carers, service users and practitioners. Background: Patients are increasingly using the internet for searching health-related information. However, the quality and readability of the information available on the internet need to be assessed. To date, no study has assessed the quality and readability of web-based Arabic health information on early childhood caries. Objectives: To evaluate the quality and readability of patient-oriented online Arabic health information regarding early childhood caries. Materials and Methods: For this infodemiological study, the Google and Yahoo search engines were searched using specific Arabic terms for early childhood caries, and the top 100 searches from both search engines were considered. Eligible websites were categorized in terms of affiliation as commercial, health portal, dental practice, professional, and journalism. Abstract Background Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is frequently a precursor to dementia, affecting aspects of cognition such as language, thinking, or memory. Lifestyle interventions are increasingly studied as potential means to slow the progression from MCI to dementia. Objective A systematic review was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of home-based lifestyle interventions in reducing cognitive decline in older adults with MCI. Methods A systematic review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was conducted to identify home-based lifestyle interventions for individuals with MCI from 1980 to 2023. These interventions were either single-component or multi-component and included diet, physical activity, stress-reduction, or cognitive stimulation treatments to assess their impact on cognition. We performed a comprehensive search in the PubMed, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Embase, and MEDLINE databases. Results From 320 abstracts, 20 (6.25%) studies met the criteria for inclusion, with five multi-component and fifteen single-component studies. Eighteen home-based lifestyle interventions for MCI patients were focused on physical activity, diet, and/or cognitive training, while two studies were identified that incorporated stress reduction training as a method to improve cognitive function. Nineteen studies reported significant improvements in cognitive performance between the experimental and control groups post-intervention for at least one aspect of cognition. Four studies reported nonsignificant improvements in cognitive function between the two groups for at least one area of cognition. Conclusions Home-based lifestyle interventions have the potential to improve cognition in elderly patients with MCI. However, future RCTs with larger sample sizes and longer intervention durations are needed to confirm these findings.

Background: Patients are increasingly using the internet for searching health-related information. However, the quality and readability of the information available on the internet need to be assessed. To date, no study has assessed the quality and readability of web-based Arabic health information on early childhood caries. Objectives: To evaluate the quality and readability of patient-oriented online Arabic health information regarding early childhood caries. Materials and Methods: For this infodemiological study, the Google and Yahoo search engines were searched using specific Arabic terms for early childhood caries, and the top 100 searches from both search engines were considered. Eligible websites were categorized in terms of affiliation as commercial, health portal, dental practice, professional, and journalism. The quality of the websites was assessed using the QUality Evaluation Scoring Tool (QUEST), and readability using the Gunning Fog index (GFI). Results: A total of 140 websites were included after applying the exclusion criteria, of which 50.7% websites were of journalism. The majority of the websites (70%) had an overall low-quality level, with a QUEST score <10. The quality of websites retrieved from Google searches was of significantly higher quality than those from Yahoo (P < 0.0001). More than half (51.4%) of the websites had good readability, with a GFI score ≤8. Journalism websites had a significantly higher proportion of websites with poor readability level (62%) compared with other affiliations (P = 0.0072). Conclusion: The web-based Arabic information regarding early childhood caries is currently of low quality and moderate readability level, thereby indicating a need for improving such patient-facing content. Purpose of Review: Web-based programs to prevent sexual offense perpetration could provide an opportunity that avoids many of the barriers associated with in-person treatment. The aim of this systematic review is to give an overview of the literature on web-based initiatives aimed at sexual offense perpetration prevention published during the last 10 years (2013–2023) and to report data on the efficacy as well as issues of the discussed initiatives. Recent Findings: We included 18 empirical studies discussing web-based perpetration prevention initiatives, of which six are randomized controlled trials. Among the articles, four cover programs focusing on prevention of sexual reoffending and 14 discuss programs aimed at preventing initial sexual offenses. Summary: Evaluations and observations of web-based initiatives aimed at preventing sexual offense perpetration show overall promising results and are well-appreciated. Online graduating student clearance systems are important platforms that greatly reduce the tedious processes involved in getting graduating students cleared for certification. These platforms are hardly available in most colleges of education and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The existing trends in the student clearance method is that the processes are done by moving from one office to another and having records on paper. Most existing clearance tasks are done manually. This scenario creates a system that is unreliable and confusing to keep the correct track of the records and can be very overwhelming and stressful to say the least. At the conclusion of the academic session, a clearance form is issued to students. Students apply for the clearance form to their respective department if the students need to exit the college. The consequences of this type of clearance system is that, at most times, most of the personnel required for the signing of the graduating students form are often not accessible and this creates serious challenges to the students. Also, in most cases, some of the papers issued to the students go missing in the course of their study and they are asked to pay for dues that have been originally paid. This research presents an automated and robust clearance system that generates students' clearance per session and final clearance to graduating students. Developing an online customs clearance system called a Robust Web-based Clearance System is the major contribution of this research. The system was developed using Java as a programming language. The system was hosted using Xampp as a local server. The system was tested and validated by management and students. Purpose: Approximately 50% of cancer survivors experience moderate-severe fear of cancer recurrence (FCR). Self-guided digital interventions have potential to address the high level of FCR-related unmet needs at scale, but existing digital interventions have demonstrated variable engagement and efficacy. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of iConquerFear, a five-module self-guided digital FCR intervention. Methods: Eligible curatively treated breast cancer survivors were recruited. Participants reporting clinically significant FCR (≥ 13 on the Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory-Short Form; FCRI-SF) were given access to iConquerFear. Feasibility was indicated by > 50% of eligible participants enrolling in iConquerFear and recording moderate (≥ 120 min) or greater usage. Preliminary efficacy was evaluated via changes in self-reported FCR severity, anxiety, depression, intrusions and metacognitions from baseline to immediately and 3 months post-intervention. Results: Fifty-four (83%) of 65 eligible participants enrolled in iConquerFear; six subsequently withdrew. Thirty-nine (83%) participants recorded moderate (n = 24; 120–599 min) or high (n = 15; ≥ 600 min) usage. Engagement levels increased with participant age (p = 0.043), but were lower in participants with higher baseline FCR (p = 0.028). Qualitative feedback indicated engagement was sometimes limited by difficulties with navigation and relating to featured survivors. Participants reported significantly improved FCR (mean reduction (95%CI): baseline to post-intervention − 3.44 (− 5.18, − 1.71), baseline to 3-month follow-up − 4.52 (− 6.25, − 2.78), p = < 0.001). Conclusion: iConquerFear is a feasible and potentially efficacious intervention for reducing FCR in breast cancer survivors. Easier navigation and more relatable examples may enhance engagement. Objective: The study aimed to analyze the current status and reasons for the neglect of the psychological need of patients with common skin diseases. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in China using an online self-assessment questionnaire distributed via social media. Demographic, clinical and psychological data were collected, and the main outcomes, i.e., depression (evaluated using the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire, PHQ-9) and anxiety (evaluated using Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, GAD-7). Multivariate regression analysis was used for the prediction of variates of mental health service seeking behaviors. Results: A total of 1,010 patients participated in the survey, and 273 (27.0%) patients met the "with need" criteria, i.e., having the need for mental health intervention but not being treated. In the multivariate regression model, income (OR = 0.80, 95%CI: 0.65-0.99), duration of disease (OR = 0.68, 95%CI: 0.49-0.95) and suicide ideation (OR = 2.10, 95%CI: 1.14-3.87) were significant factors. For patients who did not receive mental health care, the lack of knowledge about the availability of mental health services, lack of knowledge of where to seek help, concerns about the side effects of treatment, failure to seek treatment for severe skin diseases, and absence of current psychological distress were associated with their need for psychological intervention. Conclusion: This study examined the current status of the need for psychological intervention and the reasons why the need was unmet in patients with skin diseases. Background: Telerehabilitation to guide self-management has been shown to be a feasible care strategy for knee osteoarthritis (KOA). The aim of this study was to explore the effectiveness of a blended web-based rehabilitation program enhanced with outdoor physical activity (BWR-OPA) and consultation versus an OPA (usual care) program in KOA patients. Methods: Forty-four KOA participants were prescribed to follow the programs five times/week for 6 weeks. The primary outcome was self-reported physical function, measured by the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS). The secondary outcomes were pain, PA, function (timed up-and-go (TUG) test, 30 s chair rise test (30 s CRT)), psychological functioning and QoL. Results: There was a significant difference between the groups' KOOSs for pain and symptom subscales at the 6- and 12-week post-intervention assessments compared to baseline (p < 0.005) favoring the BWR-OPA group. There was a superior improvement in PA in the BWR-OPA training group (p < 0.05). Statistical and clinical improvements were found (p < 0.001) with effect sizes over 2.0 for objective measures of function. Similar improvements were recorded over time (p < 0.005) at 12 weeks for QoL, KOOS subscales for ADL, QoL and sports/recreation and psychological functioning for both groups. Background: Behavioral treatments of body-focused repetitive behaviors are effective, but access to expert therapists is limited. Access might be improved by use of web-based self-help, but nonadherence limits the efficacy of these programs. This trial tested an intervention derived from the "strength" model of self-control (Baumeister et al in Perspect Psychol Sci 13:141–145, 2018) as a way to improve adherence to StopPulling.com (for trichotillomania; TTM) and StopPicking.com (for Skin Picking Disorder; SPD). Methods: Adult participants (N = 80; 40 with TTM and 40 with SPD) were randomly assigned to (a) 2-week self-control task (avoiding eating sweet foods) or (b) waitlist, followed by access to web-based self-help for 10 weeks and then post-test. Adherence was indexed by the number of days (0–70) on which the participant logged on and entered data in the self-help program. Results: There was no significant difference in adherence between the self-control condition (20% trimmed mean = 11.25) and the waitlist condition (9.37). Secondary analyses (a) replicated earlier work showing that participants who adhered more consistently derived more benefit and (b) suggested that symptom reduction trends were evident in the self-control condition even before the start of web-based self-help. Conclusions: Improving adherence is necessary for maximizing the benefit of web-based self-help. BackgroundImplementing new innovations across the health and social care system is complex, involving many factors that in recent years have been compounded by Covid-19. While a plethora of implementation tools and frameworks are available, there are limitations in terms of their design and accessibility. Co-production is a valuable mechanism for developing tools that have utility and accessibility for those tasked with using them in health and social care organisations and there is growing acknowledgement of increasing the role of co-production in implementation science. This paper provides novel insight into co-production practices and relevance to implementation science by reporting findings from a study to co-produce a web-based implementation toolkit (WIT) that is accessible, usable and designed to support adaptive implementation across health and social care systems. Key themes relating to the process of co-production are outlined and the value of using co-production in implementation processes are discussed.MethodsA web-based survey (n = 36) was conducted with a range of stakeholders across health and social care. Findings identified a need for WIT. Survey respondents were invited to express interest in becoming part of a co-production group and to take part in three online interactive workshops to co-produce WIT. Workshops took place with the group (n = 12) and focused on key developmental stages of WIT.ResultsOnline co-production workshops were integral to the development and refinement of WIT. Benefits of using this process identified three interrelated themes: (i) Co-designing key features of the toolkit, (ii) Co-producing a toolkit with utility for users across health and social care settings, (iii) Co-producing a toolkit to support the implementation journey. Our approach of undertaking co-production as a dialogic process enabled generation of these themes. To illuminate discussion of these themes we draw upon iterative co-development of the “active ingredients” of key components (e.g., interactive Implementation Wheel) and functions (e.g., interactive “pop-up” definitions of keyword) and features (e.g., case studies) of WIT.ConclusionUsing a co-production approach with a range of end-users across health and social care systems, highlights the benefits of understanding implementation processes for users in these settings. User-centred design and processes for ensuring accessibility readily support the translation of implementation into rapidly changing health and social care systems to benefit outcomes for patients, their families, carers, service users and practitioners.

Abstract Research shows the important role of parents’ mental health literacy in detecting depressive symptoms and supporting their children to seek professional help. Improving mental health literacy in parents has recently gained even greater importance due to the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children and adolescents’ mental health. The aim of the present experimental pre-post-follow-up study was to examine knowledge change after the reception of contents from an innovative web-based platform ( www.ich-bin-alles.de/eltern ) containing evidence-based information on youth depression and mental health in parents of adolescents with a history of depression. A second aim was to assess evaluation of the layout and the acceptance of the platform. N = 33 parents of adolescents with a history of depression (either current or remitted depression) were presented different content domains of the website. Participants’ knowledge about depression was assessed at pre- and post-intervention, and at a four week follow-up. Moreover, parents evaluated the acceptance and the layout of the website. The trial was preregistered at clinicaltrials.gov (NCT05335564). The results showed a significant increase in total knowledge from pre to post, which remained stable over the course of four weeks. Explorative analyses showed that sociodemographic variables did not influence the extent of knowledge gain. Acceptance rates were high and evaluations of the website’s layout were positive. The findings show that the web-based information portal is a promising and appealing means to increase parental knowledge on youth depression. Low-threshold psychoeducational approaches like websites are particularly relevant in times of crisis and increased prevalence rates of depressive symptoms and disorders (ehealth). These results are an important basis for future studies as well as approaches that aim to impart knowledge about mental disorders like youth depression via web-based means. Furthermore, they bear implications for policy decisions concerning mental health education and campaigns.

Exposure to the palm industry begins in the early stages of secondary school, highlighted through the agricultural sector topic in the geography subject syllabus. However, the information provided about the palm industry is insufficient to give young learners adequate exposure. Consequently, Generation Z lacks knowledge and remains unaware that the palm industry significantly contributes to the national economy. This paper aims to explain the process of developing an infographic website to expose the palm industry to young learners. The topics are traditionally presented using textbooks, but it is essential to incorporate information delivery methods in line with technological developments and interactive aspects to cater to today's Generation Z. An infographic website has been developed to introduce the palm industry to the younger generation, serving as a platform for information delivery and exposure. The website development process follows the Agile model, encompassing planning, analysis, design and development, testing, and deployment phases. Based on end-user testing involving 81 high school students who completed questionnaires, the three usability test criteria yielded an average score of 4.82 for web usability, 4.72 for information quality, and 4.82 for interface quality. The results of the students' feedback were positive, indicating that the infographic offered more detailed information, and the use of animation and posters provided a clearer depiction of palm industry-related information. In conclusion, an infographic website introducing the palm industry to the younger generation proves to be a suitable alternative for their initial exposure, garnering positive responses from this target group.

Desktop applications have limitations, requiring installation on specific devices, leading to compatibility concerns. This research opts for a web-based application. It employs prototyping models and predictive abilities using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The web-based application aims to streamline fee management and predict payment delays, enhancing financial transaction management while prioritizing data security through database encryption. This web-based solution aligns with private schools' operational needs, simplifying payments and increasing late payment prediction accuracy. Extensive black-box testing validated its suitability, satisfying administrative staff needs. Four test cases gained administrative team approval. This innovation empowers private schools to optimize operations and financial management. In summary, the research tackles critical financial challenges private schools face by introducing a web-based application that simplifies payment processes, enhances accuracy in predicting late payments, and aligns seamlessly with administrative needs.

Aplikasi ini bertujuan untuk menggantikan sistem pemesanan yang masih manual dengan solusi berbasis teknologi web yang memudahkan mahasiswa mengakses informasi dan melakukan reservasi secara praktis. Metode yang digunakan adalah waterfall, dimana proses perancangan perangkat lunak berurutan yang berkembang ke arah bawah seperti air terjun dan termasuk metode yang cocok untuk digunakan dalam perancangan sistem yang spesifikasinya tidak berubah-ubah dan bersifat sistematis serta berurutan, sehingga setiap tahap dalam proses perancangan akan dimulai apabila tahap sebelumnya telah selesai dikerjakan. Terdapat 5 tahap dalam metode waterfall, yaitu analisis, design, implementasi, testing, dan maintenenance. Memungkinkan pengguna dengan mudah memeriksa ketersediaan, fasilitas, dan tarif mess serta asrama secara real-time. Melalui sistem pemesanan online yang terintegrasi, mahasiswa dapat melakukan reservasi kamar dengan cepat, efisien, dan bebas hambatan. Penerapan teknologi web diharapkan dapat mengurangi kerumitan dalam pengelolaan perumahan mahasiswa, menghemat waktu, dan meningkatkan transparansi informasi. This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in accuracy results for predicting pregnancy risk with a classification algorithm that goes through and without going through the clustering stage. After that, compare which classification algorithm gets the best improvement. This study uses the K-Means clustering approach, as well as the SVM, Naive Bayes, and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) classification algorithms. The pregnancy risk dataset used comes from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. Evaluation metrics used include accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results of the study revealed that the K-Means model with KNN provided the highest performance compared to the other two, with an accuracy of 79.53% and an average F1-score of 0.8. The implementation of K-Means resulted in an increase in accuracy of 0.4%, 1.57%, and 2.76% on KNN, SVM, and Naive Bayes respectively, which confirms the impact of clustering in improving classification performance. The resulting model can be used in real-time via a website built using the Flask API, and offers tools that can help health practitioners to plan treatments effectively and minimize the risk of pregnancy.

Clear, detailed instructional procedures have an important role to play in laboratory teaching to not only produce consistent results but also ensure safe practices. Student success in using these procedures can be strengthened through the use of video resources. However, not all video content will have the same impact. Videos must have sufficient relevance and focus to connect with the user's experience level. Achieving this target can be a challenge for a subject matter expert because they have come a long way from first learning the relevant lab skills. As a result, drawing on the fresh perspective of recent trainees to generate instructional video content can make a difference in the effectiveness of the final product. Trainees' heightened awareness of new experiences can better focus the content on the most straightforward essentials and shape the content into a storylike format, amplifying the power to connect with future users. In this article, we identify and explain elements that contribute to the development of robust student-generated video resources, including principles of cognition, instructional design, and social networking. Objectives The psychological and physiological distress and social isolation could adversely affect sleep. As sleep disturbances may persist and deteriorate health, it is important to assess prevalence and related factors of sleep disturbances among the residents of Karnataka state during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection. Methods In this study, 250 responders across the state of Karnataka accessed the survey voluntarily during September 2021 and January 2022. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Insomnia Severity Index scales, features that are related to sleep quality, and some hypothesized risk factors of sleep disturbances in context of COVID-19 infection are employed to format a self-reported questionnaire. Results In this study, females 27(19.1%) experienced more sleep disturbances than males 9 (8.3%). The study revealed the participants who received both the doses of vaccination (126; 54.3%) had better sleep. The participants who reported themselves to be stressed (182; 72.8%) had more disturbances in sleep. A total number of 45 participants (18.4%) experienced difficulty in breathing and out of all the responders 11 (47.8%) were actually worried about their current sleep problem. Conclusion COVID-19 infection and changes imposed during the pandemic have led to a surge in individuals reporting sleep problems across the globe. The findings raise the need to screen for worsening sleep patterns to create more awareness about the secondary consequences of COVID-19 infection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: The study aimed to analyze the current status and reasons for the neglect of the psychological need of patients with common skin diseases. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in China using an online self-assessment questionnaire distributed via social media. Demographic, clinical and psychological data were collected, and the main outcomes, i.e., depression (evaluated using the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire, PHQ-9) and anxiety (evaluated using Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, GAD-7). Multivariate regression analysis was used for the prediction of variates of mental health service seeking behaviors. Results: A total of 1,010 patients participated in the survey, and 273 (27.0%) patients met the “with need” criteria, i.e., having the need for mental health intervention but not being treated. In the multivariate regression model, income (OR = 0.80, 95%CI: 0.65–0.99), duration of disease (OR = 0.68, 95%CI: 0.49–0.95) and suicide ideation (OR = 2.10, 95%CI: 1.14–3.87) were significant factors. For patients who did not receive mental health care, the lack of knowledge about the availability of mental health services, lack of knowledge of where to seek help, concerns about the side effects of treatment, failure to seek treatment for severe skin diseases, and absence of current psychological distress were associated with their need for psychological intervention. Conclusion: This study examined the current status of the need for psychological intervention and the reasons why the need was unmet in patients with skin diseases. This study discusses the implementation of a Web-Based Employee Attendance Information System on a CV. Syntax Corporation Indonesia. The application of information technology in employee attendance management has become an increasingly urgent need in various organizations, including CV companies. Syntax Corporation Indonesia faces the challenge of efficient and accurate attendance management. The Information System developed in this study is designed to facilitate recording and monitoring employee attendance and allow real-time data access through an intuitive web interface. This research includes needs analysis, system design, software development, and practical implementation of the Employee Attendance Information System. The development method used is a software development life cycle model that includes requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. The results of this study show that the Web-Based Employee Attendance Information System implemented in CV. Syntax Corporation Indonesia has improved the efficiency and accuracy of attendance management. Employees can easily record their attendance through the web interface, while management can access real-time attendance data and generate relevant reports. In addition, implementing this Information System also allows for more effective attendance monitoring, detection of unauthorized attendance, and taking appropriate actions per company regulations. Background: Online surveys in nursing research have both advantages and disadvantages. Reaching a sample and attaining an appropriate response rate is an ongoing challenge and necessitates careful consideration when designing a nursing research study using an online survey approach. Objective: In this study, we aimed to explore response rates and survey characteristics of studies by nurse researchers that used online methodologies to survey nurses, nursing students, and nursing faculty. Methods: We conducted an integrative review of research studies that used online surveys for data collection published from 2011 to 2021. We examined response rates and survey characteristics such as recruitment method, use of incentives, question type, length of survey, time to complete the survey, and use of reminders. Results: Our review included 51 studies published by nurses with target samples of nurses, nursing students, or nursing faculty. Study sample sizes ranged from 48 to 29,283, the number of respondents ranged from 29 to 3,607, and the response rates ranged from 3.4% to 98%, with an average of 42.46%. Few patterns emerged regarding recruitment or other factors to enhance response rates; only five studies used incentives. Conclusion: Response rates to online surveys are unlikely to reach the rates seen in older mailed surveys. Researchers need to design online survey studies to be easily accessible, concise, and appealing to participants. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Web-based lifestyle interventions are a new area of health research. This randomized controlled trial evaluated the effectiveness of an interactive web-based health program on physical fitness and health. N = 189 healthy adults participated in a 12-week interactive (intervention) or non-interactive (control) web-based health program. The intervention provided a web-based lifestyle intervention to promote physical activity and fitness through individualized activities as part of a fully automated, multimodal health program. The control intervention included health information. Cardiorespiratory fitness measured as maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max) was the primary outcome, while musculoskeletal fitness, physical activity and dietary behavior, and physiological health outcomes were assessed as secondary outcomes (t0: 0 months, t1: 3 months, t2: 9 months, t3: 15 months). Statistical analysis was performed with robust linear mixed models. There were significant time effects in the primary outcome (VO2max) (t0–t1: p = 0.018) and individual secondary outcomes for the interactive web-based health program, but no significant interaction effects in any of the outcomes between the interactive and non-interactive web-based health program. This study did not demonstrate the effectiveness of an interactive compared with a non-interactive web-based health program in physically inactive adults. This study introduces a web-based planner system developed to enhance the planning and scheduling processes within the academic environment. It is due to universities grapple with manual and fragmented planning processes, leading to inefficiencies, miscommunication, and a lack of real-time updates. The Agile methodology was employed to foster adaptability and responsiveness to changing requirements throughout the development lifecycle. The research focuses on the User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase, a crucial element in ensuring the system's functionality aligns with end-user expectations. A total of 36 respondents, comprising academic staff, students, and administrative personnel from UiTM Perlis, participated in the UAT process. The study investigates user satisfaction, system usability, and overall acceptance of the web-based planner system through a series of targeted assessments and surveys. Results indicate a positive reception among users, highlighting the system's effectiveness in streamlining planning processes and improving overall user experience. The Agile methodology's iterative nature facilitated real-time adjustments based on user feedback, ensuring that the final product meets the dynamic needs of the academic community. The findings contribute valuable insights into the successful integration of Agile methodologies in web-based system development and underscore the importance of user involvement in shaping functional and user-friendly solutions. This research not only showcases the benefits of web-based but also emphasizes the significance of user acceptance testing as a critical step in delivering solutions that truly resonate with end-users.

Rice is one of the most important cultivated plants for human survival. The activity of cultivating rice plants becomes a livelihood for most of these residents, so the success rate of the amount of rice harvested becomes very important because they depend on how much rice can be harvested, disease diagnosis is very important for farmers, this is very important to reduce economic losses due to diseases that cause crop failure. Therefore, when dealing with rice diseases, an expert is needed to make diagnoses or solutions to rice diseases. However, an expert does not know when to come to the village, and farmers also do not understand all rice diseases. Therefore, a web-based expert system application using the forward chaining method is proposed to represent an expert to help farmers diagnose and solve diseases of rice plants with existing symptoms.

Abstract Background Many Australians experience mental health challenges, but only a third access face-to-face psychological services, due to multiple barriers including long waitlists. Additional strategies to prevent or help people de-escalate distress at an early stage are needed. Web-based mental health interventions are becoming increasingly acceptable to consumers and referring General Practitioners (GPs), but most are designed for specific disorders/populations. This study explores consumers’ and health professionals’ preferences and recommendations for the design of a transdiagnostic, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based, online intervention for Australian adults. Methods Thirty-five people (consumers, carers, GPs, mental health professionals) participated in one or more co-design stages. Stage 1: semi-structured interviews to establish what is wanted from such websites (n = 22). Stage 2: feedback emailed on branding options (n = 20). Stage 3: feedback provided via Zoom or an online survey after testing a website prototype (n = 19). Data were analysed using Thematic Framework Analysis and descriptive statistics. Results Stage 1 highlighted nine key design principles (plus 25 subthemes) that participants emphasised as important to ensure the website would have broad appeal and meet their needs: (1) user choice is valued highly; (2) ACT-based content is acceptable as it is focused on helping people be proactive and ‘get unstuck’; (3) non-pathologising, direct, empowering, lay language is endorsed; (4) a positive look and feel is appreciated; (5) images and videos are important to break up text and maintain engagement; (6) short text messages to aid engagement are valued; (7) provision of tailored psychoeducation for highly distressed and suicidal users is endorsed; (8) personal and proactive brand name is preferred (icanactnow); (9) diverse marketing and training activities are recommended. In Stage 2, icanactnow branding preferences were elicited (simplicity, colours to represent growth and a call to action). Stage 3 resulted in the inclusion of a safety plan template and a tailored entry portal for people referred to icanactnow by health professionals. High levels of satisfaction with the prototype were reported. Conclusions These findings informed icanactnow and provide insights for the development of other online mental health interventions, in ways that appeal to both consumers and professionals recommending them.
