This research aims to develop community tourism in emerging cities by applying the gamification approach to improve the standard of products and services in tourism for offline and online operations. The mobile and web application development concentrates on promoting and advertising tourist attractions, accommodations, restaurants, hotels, and standardized local businesses. The established application also displays the recommended travel routes applied with the adaptive tourism recommendation algorithm for suggesting high-quality travel routes. This algorithm was developed based on the data collected by tourists, tourist attraction staff, and local entrepreneurs altogether. The selected local entrepreneurs, which met the application standards, were demonstrated by the pin reward icons shown in Google Maps. The pin reward icons representing the standardized businesses provide valuable information to tourists when they make decisions. The result shows that the sensitivity was 98.63%, and the accuracy was 97.06% of the recommended location for the tourists, entrepreneurs, and tourism development agencies while using the applications. Ultimately, this will directly benefit the emerging cities if the public sector encourages mobile application utilization training and practices.

Echinobase (www.echinobase.org) is a third generation web resource supporting genomic research on echinoderms. The new version was built by cloning the mature Xenopus model organism knowledgebase, Xenbase, refactoring data ingestion pipelines and modifying the user interface to adapt to multispecies echinoderm content. This approach leveraged over 15 years of previous database and web application development to generate a new fully featured informatics resource in a single year. In addition to the software stack, Echinobase uses the private cloud and physical hosts that support Xenbase. Echinobase currently supports six echinoderm species, focused on those used for genomics, developmental biology and gene regulatory network analyses. Over 38 000 gene pages, 18 000 publications, new improved genome assemblies, JBrowse genome browser and BLAST + services are available and supported by the development of a new echinoderm anatomical ontology, uniformly applied formal gene nomenclature, and consistent orthology predictions. A novel feature of Echinobase is integrating support for multiple, disparate species. New genomes from the diverse echinoderm phylum will be added and supported as data becomes available. The common code development design of the integrated knowledgebases ensures parallel improvements as each resource evolves. This approach is widely applicable for developing new model organism informatics resources.

Model-driven engineering is a renowned software engineering methodology for design and development of software systems with the help of various types of models. Model–View–Controller (MVC) is a popular and extensively used architectural pattern for Web application development process in different platforms. Literature review reveals that there are implementation-level deficiencies in the form of complicated structure, time taken for development and maintenance of MVC-based Web application in different MVC-based frameworks. In this article, we introduce a unique model-driven framework approach to simplify the use of MVC-based frameworks for Web application development. In our approach, we introduce a unique mechanism with the help of a UML Profile model and a model to text transformation engine to automatically generate the implementation of any (Web) application in three defined MVC-based frameworks; our approach is extensible to support more MVC frameworks. For ease, we have created an application with GUI to generate the required MVC-based framework code. The application/implementation of our unique approach is verified with two benchmark case studies; results show that we closely generate the MVC-based Web application source code which is flexible to add critical application business logic.

PurposeUse of genomic sequencing is increasing at a pace that requires technological solutions to effectively meet the needs of a growing patient population. We developed GUÍA, a web-based application, to enhance the delivery of genomic results and related clinical information to patients and families.MethodsGUÍA development occurred in 5 phases: formative research, content development, user interface design, stakeholder/community member input, and web application development. Development was informed by qualitative research involving parents (N=22) whose children underwent genomic testing. Participants enrolled in the NYCKidSeq pilot study (N=18) completed structured feedback interviews post-result disclosure using GUÍA. Genetic specialists, researchers, patients, and community stakeholders provided their perspectives on GUÍA’s design to ensure technical, cultural, and literacy appropriateness.ResultsNYCKidSeq participants responded positively to the use of GUÍA to deliver their children’s results. All participants (N=10) with previous experience with genetic testing felt GUÍA improved result disclosure, and 17 (94%) participants said the content was clear.ConclusionsGUÍA communicates complex genomic information in an understandable and personalized manner. Initial piloting demonstrated GUÍA’s utility for families enrolled NYCKidSeq pilot study. Findings from the NYCKidSeq clinical trial will provide insight into GUÍA’s effectiveness in communicating results among diverse, multilingual populations.

Thus, introducing activities focused in the data quality management is a crucial requirement for the analysts if the level of quality of data for the functionality or service at hand is to be ensured. Such specialized data quality management activities should be presented as early as possible during the software development process. So far and having done a search for proposals in this field, there is still a lack of either methodological or technological proposals with which a developer could be able to design data quality aware applications in the specific field of Web application development. Considering the benefits offered in the field of Model Driven Web Engineering, this work presents a partial outcome of our research in this novel field: a metamodel and a UML profile, both able to be used as data quality artefacts during the design stage of Web applications. The main objective is to provide the designer with the tools needed to design Web applications, in order to prevent data quality issues.

Об’єктом дослідження є електронна комерція. Предметом дослідження є розробка онлайн магазину. Для розробки клієнтської частини проєкту використовувався фреймворк для розробки веб-додатків Angular. Серверна частина розроблена за допомогою фреймворку SpringBoot. В якості системи управління базами даних використовувалася PostgreSQL. Розробка велась у інтегрованому середовищі розробки IntelliJ IDEA. The purpose of this bachelor's project is to develop a website for the sale of online games. The developed website should simplify the placement and search of ads for sale, provide an opportunity for the seller and the client to discuss the details of the goods and act as a third party in the purchase/sale of goods, which will reduce the number of cases of fraud. The object of the study is e-commerce. The subject of the study is the development of an online store. The client side of the project was developed using Angular framework for web application development. The server side was developed using the SpringBoot framework. As a database management system PostgreSQL was used. Development was conducted in the integrated development environment IntelliJ IDEA.

Services accessible through a web interface have become an integral part of the modern world. With the growing number of Web applications, their maintenance and administration are becoming an increasingly difficult task. Thus, sooner or later almost any organization faces the task of integrating these services. The best solution to the problem described above is to deploy a corporate portal that will provide centralized access to all web services in the organization. The vast majority of Web application developers use the enterprise portal Liferay, which is a powerful and modern open-source platform, to solve these problems. Currently, it is one of the most popular solutions for building corporate portals. However, developers have a problem with the availability of materials and documentation that would fully reveal the full range of possible implementation of the functionality of the platform. Therefore, there is a need for a detailed analysis of the functionality and implementation examples based on the Liferay portal for the development of Web applications. The article analyzes the basic principle of Web application development, its implementation in the researched corporate portal Liferay, as well as in the modules available to developers. The functionality of the Liferay Digital Experience Platform (DXP) project development tool is revealed. The basic structure of the main components of the portal for the development of corporate tasks Liferay is analyzed and based on this information, effective examples of implementation of these components are analyzed, which can be used to create a structure of Web-applications of any type and with any tasks.

Introduction The imperative need for ensuring optimal security of healthcare web applications cannot be overstated. Security practitioners are consistently working at improvising on techniques to maximise security along with the longevity of healthcare web applications. In this league, it has been observed that assessment of security risks through soft computing techniques during the development of web application can enhance the security of healthcare web applications to a great extent. Methods This study proposes the identification of security risks and their assessment during the development of the web application through adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). In this article, firstly, the security risk factors involved during healthcare web application development have been identified. Thereafter, these security risks have been evaluated by using the ANFIS technique. This research also proposes a fuzzy regression model. Results The results have been compared with those of ANFIS, and the ANFIS model is found to be more acceptable for the estimation of security risks during the healthcare web application development. Conclusion The proposed approach can be applied by the healthcare web application developers and experts to avoid the security risk factors during healthcare web application development for enhancing the healthcare data security.

Many modern day web applications deal with huge amount of secured and high impact data. As a result security plays a major role in web application development. The security of any web application focuses on data the application handles. The web application framework should prevent and detect web application vulnerabilities. Data will be stored in a database, so the OWASP categorized vulnerability SQL Injection Attacks (SQLIA) is the most critical vulnerability for a web application. An Ontology based model for preventing and detecting SQLIA using ontology (SQLIO) is proposed which implements Ontology Creation and prediction rule based vulnerabilities model. The proposed methodology provides prevents and detects SQLIA web vulnerability to a greater extent in cloud environment.

In secure web application development, the role of web services will not continue if it is not trustworthy. Retaining customers with applications is one of the major challenges if the services are not reliable and trustworthy. This article proposes a trust evaluation and decision model where the authors have defined indirect attribute, trust, calculated based on available direct attributes in quality web service (QWS) data sets. After getting training of such evaluation and decision strategies, developers and customers, both will use the knowledge and improve the QoS. This research provides web-based learning about web service quality which will be utilized for prediction, recommendation and the selection of trusted web services in the pool of web services available globally. In this research, the authors include designs to make decisions about the trustworthy web services based on classification, correlation, and curve fitting to improve trust in web service prediction. In order to empower the web services life cycle, they have developed a quality assessment model to incorporate a security and performance policy.

There has been a phenomenal increase in the use of web applications in every facet of human endeavor. From education, healthcare, banking, business to governance and so much more now depends on secure web applications. This accelerated growth in the use of web applications has led to increase in the complexity of security and hence the present day developers have to contribute more significantly towards meeting the users’ requirements. However, the high security of web application is not yet efficacious enough because the durability of web application is not as much as it should be. In this context, it is important to consider that ensuring sustainability of security at the early stage of web application development process may reduce costs and rework entailed during the development of secure and durable web applications. Hence, there is a need to focus on increasing the life-span of a secure web application. Quantitative estimation of security-durability plays a significant role for improving the life-span of a secure web application. Thus, to optimize the security assurance effort for a specific life-span, this paper is aimed at estimating the security-durability of web application. For estimating security-durability, this paper uses a hybrid approach of Hesitant Fuzzy (HF) sets, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) techniques. The effectiveness of the combined approach of HF-AHP-TOPSIS is tested for its accuracy in a web application for an academic institution, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in India. To check the sensitivity of outcomes, authors of the paper have taken altered forms of the University’s web application. The result established contains the security-durability assessment. This work seeks to be an important contribution in enhancing the security-durability and would be beneficial for experts who are working in this domain.

В статье определено понятие и значение web-приложений, их базовая структура построения и функциональные особенности. Изучены тонкости web-разработки на предприятии и рассмотрены различные подходы к разработке.

Die beliebtesten SPA-Webframeworks verwenden heutzutage alle JavaScript. Seit der Veröffentlichung von Blazor WebAssembly im Mai 2020 gibt es jedoch auch die Möglichkeit, clientseitige Webanwendungen mit C# anstelle von JavaScript zu erstellen. Da Blazor ein neues Framework ist und es noch nicht viel Forschung darüber gibt, ist es schwer zu entscheiden, ob es eine gute Idee ist, es in einer Produktionsumgebung zu verwenden oder nicht. Diese Bachelorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie Blazor WebAssembly funktioniert und welche Projekte damit realisiert werden können. Dazu wird ein Vergleich zu einem etablierten JavaScript SPA-Framework, nämlich React.js, anhand einer Reihe von Kriterien gezogen. Die Kriterien bestehen aus Vollständigkeit des Angebots, Geschichte, Community, Browser-Support, Bibliotheken, DOM-Manipulation, erforderliche Fähigkeiten, Lines of Code, Tooling, Performance und Wiederverwendbarkeit von Code. Um die Kriterien zu testen, wurden zwei Anwendungen entwickelt: eine Anwendung mit React.js und eine weitere mit Blazor WebAssembly. Zusätzlich zu den beiden Anwendungen wurde bestehende Literatur verwendet, um die Kriterien zu beantworten. Zudem wurde ein Prototyp geschrieben, der die Anforderungen an eine einfache CRM-Anwendung umsetzt, um ein Gefühl für das Blazor WebAssembly Framework zu bekommen. Die Ergebnisse des Prototyps und der Vergleich zwischen den beiden Frameworks haben gezeigt, dass Blazor eine ernstzunehmende Option für die Entwicklung von Webanwendungen ist (vor allem, wenn im Backend ohnehin schon .NET verwendet wird) und dass es angesichts seines Alters recht ausgereift ist.Es muss jedoch auch berücksichtigt werden, dass vergleichbare JavaScript-Frameworks alleine aufgrund ihres längeren Bestehens ausgereifter und umfassender sind. Aus dem gleichen Grund werden sie auch viel häufiger im Unternehmensumfeld eingesetzt und haben eine viel größere Community. The most popular SPA web frameworks nowadays use all JavaScript. However, since the release of Blazor WebAssembly in May 2020, there is also the possibility to create client-side web application using C# instead of JavaScript. Since Blazor is a new framework and there is not much research about it yet, it is hard to decide whether it is a good idea to use it in a production environment or not. This bachelor thesis deals with the question of how Blazor WebAssembly works and which projects can be implemented with it. To achieve that, a comparison to an established JavaScript SPA framework, namely React.js, is drawn based on a set of criteria. The criteria consist of Completeness of Offering, History, Community, Browser Support, Libraries, DOM Manipulation, Skill requirements, Lines of Code, Tooling, Performance, and Code reusability. Two applications were developed to test the criteria, an application using React.js and another using Blazor WebAssembly. In addition to the two applications, existing literature was consulted to answer the criteria. Further, a prototype application was written that implements requirements for a simple CRM application in order to get a sense of the Blazor WebAssembly framework. The results of the prototype and the comparison between the two frameworks have shown that Blazor is a feasible option for web application development (especially if .NET is already used in the backend anyway) and that it is quite mature considering its age. Furthermore, it must also be taken into account that comparable JavaScript SPA frameworks are more mature and comprehensive simply due to their longer existence. Modern web application development provides an attractive application area for introductory software engineering education, as students have direct experience with the domain and it provides them with the potential to gain practical, real-world skills. Achieving this potential requires the development of competency with a multiple component tech stack for web application development, which is challenging to acquire within a single semester. In this research, we designed, implemented, and evaluated a new pedagogy called “athletic software engineering” which is intended to help students efficiently and effectively acquire competency with a multiple component tech stack as a precursor to a web application development project. We evaluated the pedagogy over 4 years and six semesters with 286 students and found strong evidence for its effectiveness.

Developing web application from scratch is a cumbersome task. There is a need for a fast and efficient methodology to develop web-based application to realize user's requirement. User's requirement and expectation have increased because of the complexity of business process. This paper introduces a new method which allows web developer to build application faster. Reuse-based software component concept is used to construct cases in case-based reasoning. Case-based reasoning method defined a mechanism for learning on the basis of the previous case in order to solve the current problem. That is the basic idea about how to build application generator as fast development by reuse collection of previous code component.

In the agile world, the web application development has to be accurate and economical. One of the best ways to achieve the productivity is by reducing the complexity. The complexity can be reduced by the separation of concerns. If there is a reduction of concerns of the configurations and the boilerplate code. One approach is to use spring framework for development. It provides a decoupled way of developing web applications. Web application development becomes simple in spring with its various features. The underlying spring architecture and a case study using spring have been presented in the paper.

Companies currently encounter obstacles in networking, integration, and global manufacturing as mobile devices as well as computers increasingly facilitate commercial activities. Accordingly, we propose a new web-based enterprise resource planning (e-ERP) system that can be rapidly migrated from conventional on-site ERP systems. In this paper, by referring to Internet technologies and several key web topics, we explore the evolution of e-Commerce and ERP. We also discuss the applications of the proposed method based on an elastic model–view–controller e-ERP and software-as-a-service delivery. On the basis of information system architecture evaluation and realization results, we discuss the application of web technologies and web engineering models for the effective hosting of a reliable cloud ERP. In addition, on the basis of a review of the literature and related emerging technologies, we comparatively discuss several holistic frameworks of web application development from the technical and business perspectives. As indicated by the implementation results, the proposed approach can be used to effectively host a secure cloud ERP.

The current condition information on the vehicle system developed must be easily accepted by the user. The use will vary greatly, both the type of string used and the operating system. If the application is developed according to each user, this will be very inefficient. Therefore we need an application development technique that can be easily accessed by each user. Advances in web application development have supported web pages to have capabilities close to natively developed applications. This development, known as Progressive Web App (PWA), allows for the integration of web-based applications with native applications, where web applications will be able to enable native applications, especially in the development of multi-platform applications that can be accessed by various devices with different operating systems. In this project, a comparison will be made of PWA-based applications with native applications through the literature. Then, a PWA application was developed in the form of a vehicle-based supporting device developed as a Service or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) which has the capability to monitor motorized car ferries from Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices, as well as alerting against attempt to steal the vehicle. Through the string, the user can access the web application and then change the desired information mode. The results of testing the functionality above the statement, and being able to combine user management security functionality so that access to certain data is restricted to each user account.

This short paper aims to raise awareness of good usability design in medical computer sciences. We present a research plan about developing usability design guidelines for web application development in medical informatics. Following a nimble creation process we shall create a guideline tailored for software developers, that aims to improve communication between the developer and the medical professional. Results are therefore expected to impact the way applications are being developed within the medical sector.

Software innerSourcing has been attracting attention over the past decade in terms of procuring human resources. It can make any employee become a member of all projects in the company by adopting an Open Source Software (OSS) development style. For encouraging healthy employee participation on software innerSourcing, it is important to understand what motivates them. This report creates a visual model using the iStar framework, a goal and actor-oriented modeling methodology, to develop an understanding of employee motivation for software innerSourcing. We interview six employees who participated in one web application development project via software innerSourcing. We then create iStar models based on the interview results. They can be used to explain what motivates employees to use their time for other projects in software innerSourcing.

Spring is a very popular and strong open-source framework in web application development. It provides most of features about dependency injection (DI) container, but it is weak and defective in concurrent access and cyclic reference among objects. Based on the technique of object dependent graph, an new DI container named as GDCC solves these issues successfully.
