LEISURE , *SHORT story writing , *PEARSON correlation (Statistics) , *FACTOR analysis , *ANALYSIS of variance - Abstract
The theme of the study is to analyze the relationship between leisure activities and creativity in the population of Czech adolescents aged 13-15 years. Prague respondents (N = 398, eighth grade pupils and first-year students of a six-year grammar school) completed two tests of creativity. The first one former was the Torrance Test of Incomplete Figures examining nonverbal creativity, the latter was the original Monkey test examining verbal creativity by writing a short story about a picture. The results of the verbal and nonverbal test of creativity were confronted with the leisure time activities of the respondents. In the case of creative activities and creativity tests, a relation was found by explorative factor analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Pearson´s correlation coefficient. Furthermore, a positive relation was found between creative leisure time activities and the nonverbal factor and even in the case of verbal factor of creativity (r=0.149 and r=0.161; p<0.01). A positive relation was found between social leisure time activities and verbal factor of creativity among students of grammar school (r=0.143). A negative relation was also found between passive leisure time activities and verbal factor of creativity (r=-0.101; p<0.05). The type of school explained almost 12 % variance of measured creativity in the Torrance Test, gender explained 2 %. Students of grammar schools scored in both creativity tests significantly higher than primary school pupils. Further, gender differences were found in both creativity tests while girls scored significantly higher than boys. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The bachelor thesis focuses on satisfaction with services provided in homes for the elderly in the Příbram district. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out how satisfied users are with the services provided in homes for the elderly in the Příbram district. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the concepts related to the title of this bachelor thesis - old age, ageing and the associated ageism, aspects of ageing or ageing population, senior and communication with him/her, needs of seniors or the definition of satisfaction. Last but not least, the topics of social care for the elderly, the social worker, social services for the elderly and finally I have described the actual service of the home for the elderly. In the practical part, I set one main research question, which was "How satisfied are the users of the retirement home with the services provided?", and to this six sub-questions were set. For data collection, qualitative research and interview method, semi-structured interview technique was chosen. The size of the research population was not precisely determined in advance, the questioning was conducted to theoretical saturation - only two criteria were given, namely that they must be users of one of the homes for the elderly in the district of Příbram and they must be able to communicate and understand the questions. The informants with whom the research was conducted were 16 in total. The aim of the Bachelor's thesis was fulfilled and it was found that all users of homes for the elderly in Příbram district are satisfied with the services provided. The results of the bachelor thesis can serve as feedback for the homes for the elderly where the research was carried out and as a stimulus for possible improvement of services in order to contribute to the increase of user satisfaction. Furthermore, it can help those interested in this residential service in their decision making process.

- Abstract
Hlavní otázka mého výzkumu je: Probíhá přenos hodnot při volnočasových aktivitách u Salesiánů pouze implicitním způsobem?, This thesis focuses on character of transmission of Christian moral values in Salesian Youth Club in Pardubice. I will test my hypothesis based on assumption, that a transmission of Christian values takes place during leisure non-religious activities. According to the hypothesis this transmission is only implicit and explicit transmission of the same values takes place during religious activities such as meditation, prayers or lessons of catechism. I will elaborate the topics of Christian and secular moral values according to Salesian understanding, religious and non-religious activities and the transmission itself. My main question is: Does the transmission of values take place during leisure activities only through implicit way?, Fakulta filozofická, Dokončená práce s úspěšnou obhajobou

In my final diploma thesis, I deal with the issue of a physical and leisure activity in selected homes for the elderly in the Czechia and Germany. The whole work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes residential institutions for seniors in the Czech Republic and Germany and their financing and historical development up to the present, I deal with the mental, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of seniors and their adequate physical activities. The practical part consists of a questionnaire survey and statistical verification of the tested hypotheses. I sent the questionnaire survey by e-mail to more than 50 selected homes for the elderly in the Czech Republic and Germany, but I have got the answers only from 13 of them. The aim was to find about whether seniors are satisfied with the offered activities in the home for the elderly, what activities the seniors engage in, what the activity brings them and what improvement they would welcome. The results of the questionnaire survey are processed into graphs and tables. It was confirmed that a total of 50 % of clients in Germany answered that they are completely or rather satisfied with the quality of services offered, compared to 8 % less in the Czech Republic, 42 %. Based on this survey, it follows that seniors are interested in nonphysical activities that bring them contact with other people and thus strengthen their social ties. Therefore, it would be appropriate for the directors of houses for elderly to consider the inclusion of new nonphysical activities.

The aim of my thesis was to define and describe the particularities and interdisciplinary connections of the social service of low-threshold facilities for children and youth (hereinafter NZDM) as well as evaluate their significance when working with children and youth at the low-threshold level. NZDM is a rather new social service operating in social prevention area. Since being incorporated into the social services´ system in compliance with Act No.108/2006 Coll. which has clearly specified the character and activities of NZDM service, it has been facing misunderstanding and questioning of its role and content both from the professionals and lay people. This regards namely the pedagogical aspect of the service as such, there has been an effort to reduce it, which hinders the NZDM workers´ activity and brings existential and financial insecurity. In contrast to other social services, NZDM service must therefore defend its position in the social services´ system and argue for its substance and sense. This paper also aims at this line of reasoning. The thesis is divided into four chapters where essential characteristics of the service are first presented as well as its roots and important milestones in its development including the insight into the multi-layered quality and particularities of NZDM. The second chapter covers the area of developmental psychology, or more precisely the target group of NZDM in the context of chosen developmental characteristics. The third chapter presents interdisciplinary connections in pedagogy, thus giving evidence of the significance of upbringing and education in NZDM. In the closing part of the paper, there is an attempt of the author to reflect the rigours and paradoxes in this environment, to defend the role of free-time activities and to draw attention to the risks related to narrowed and reduced approach to NZDM service.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of solving pro-family measures in the town of Pacov, which includes five local parts. It is located in the Pelhřimov district in the Vysočina Region. It is not a big city, but even so it does not avoid common worries as in other parts of the Czech Republic. Among the problems that city officials have to deal with is pro-family politics. As in other towns and villages, there are not enough flats, the town does not have land for flat construction, it faces a generational problem. The population is aging, there are more women than men in the city. There is a significant decline in population, which is not even offset by new immigrants. On the other hand, it is the largest regional owner of real estate for sports, culture, civic amenities in general. This brief and interesting characteristic was the motivation for choosing this locality to process pro-family issues. There are two opposites - on the one hand, quality equipment for various leisure activities, on the other hand, the lack of fundamental conditions for further development, such as apartments. For this reason, the theoretical part was focused on the issue of family policy in the Czech Republic. In this context, it was followed by a practical part in order to find out whether the citizens of the city are satisfied with the pro-family policy, especially with the solution of housing policy and leisure activities. A quantitative survey was used to determine the results. The objectives of the quantitative survey conducted among the citizens of the town of Pacov in the Vysočina region were focused on finding satisfaction with leisure activities, which are organized annually in the city in cooperation with the city, social, cultural, interest and other organizations and associations. In order to determine the fulfilment of the defined goals, research questions were formulated, which were aimed at finding out how citizens perceive the offer of leisure activities for families with children and whether they believe that the offer of city apartments can be considered sufficient for them. Based on the results, recommendations are formulated at the end of the bachelor's thesis as suggestions for the Municipal Office in Pacov. The answer is part of the final evaluation.
