Over the last decade there has been a revolution in payment technologies. Digitization of bank accounts, new digital payment applications, and an array of new kinds of financial products and services have opened up a wide range of choices for storing, saving, sending, and receiving money. Digital finance has become an important tool in efforts to facilitate formalfinancial inclusion across the globe. And yet, cash has also remained an essential tool for people’s financial practices and lives alongside these new payment forms. Evidence from both developing and developed payment markets shows that while digital payments may have increased exponentially, the demand for physical banknotes and coins has kept up with the pace of digital finance. Physical currency or physical accounting devices are ancient and crosscultural technologies, in continuous use since at least 1600 B.C. Aside from risks and benefits, they are wedded to an incredibly durable set of behaviors and social practices.People use diverse payment methods (from cash, to cards, to payment applications and other alternatives) together. However, the ability to move between diverse payment forms, especially cash, has also featured prominently in criminal activities, including money laundering, tax evasion, and terrorist financing. This has led government authorities, law enforcement, and other entities to target cash in particular as the supposed core method – and problem – in such activities. The European Commission proposes to institute a cash transaction limit across the EU, claiming that it will prevent money laundering, terrorism, and crime. This follows the decision by the European Central Bank to end issuance of the 500 euro note beginning in 2018.

Transactions have always been one of the vital necessities of human beings, and human beings have always dealt with different types of innovations in order to benefit and use innovative methods in transactions, because the basis of transactions is always based on the basic principle of "exchangers". The contract form is between the two sides of the deal, and it's no secret that the tech world is evolving day by day. Every day in cyberspace, we are facing new and fresh ideas, and various speculations have been made about the situation of Bitcoin in Iran so far. However, no scientific research has been done in this regard. Therefore, the issue of bitcoin has been raised in Iran for a short time, and there are many legal loopholes for legalizing bitcoin in the country, as well as providing bitcoin conditions to prevent many problems, including tax evasion and money laundering. In order to explain the status of bitcoin in law and economics, it is necessary to adopt a policy on the subject of bitcoin and pay attention to the legislature and electronic payment system according to the laws and upstream documents and the position and laws of other countries in the field of bitcoin.

Virtual money is a new phenomenon which has emerged in modern societies as the virtual world is increasingly gaining momentum. It is not a long time since the idea of virtual money came to existence and became operational, yet various types of virtual currency have managed to gain acceptance and usage in today's market. Although governments have been reluctant to give credence to these currencies, the inventors of virtual currencies and market participants have been struggling to overcome the challenges involved and to come up with innovative solutions in order to provide more desirable and effective services in the hopes of making them more widespread. Correct and technical perception of the nature of the money will be the first step in identifying the regulative rules of Sharia as regards virtual money and its use in the Islamic financial market. This article is to specify the regulative rules of Sharia concerning virtual money through digging deep into the ontology of virtual money and analyzing the phenomenon of "money" with an Islamic jurisprudential approach based on the Credit-based Theory of Money. In view of that, it is essential to dissect virtual money in order to precisely understand its components and the key elements affecting it. These include the nature of virtual money and its base, its characteristics of being private and electronic, and the arrival of virtual money in the real world. The writers of this article believe that the most important consideration that must be given to laying the groundwork for virtual money in today's world money order is the coexistence of real and virtual money .

During the twentieth century, the entertainment industry recorded a steady revenue growth. The progress of information and communication technology (ICT) influenced the creation of a new segment in the industry at the beginning of the 80s, known as the video game industry. During the first two decades, the dominant model of earning for video games publishers was sale of a full game, which means that users were obliged to pay in order to play the game (pay-to-play concept). In the past ten years, publishers have developed a new approach, which instead of selling entire game content at once tends to decompose the sale into several smaller transactions. The prices of these supplements are often calculated in the virtual currency that is considered to be the currency of video game, and not in one of convertible currencies, which creates additional confusion. The subject of the paper is to explain the essence of microtransactions as type of electronic payments created in the video games industry and to observe their role in the process of industry transformation.

Today, we can see that the physical record of classical money evolved, with the effect of developing technology. The power of virtual money, which has different characteristics, which excludes all the features of the money called metallic or banknotes in commercial life, maintains its position in the agenda. Most of people are curious and excited about the developments in virtuel modey, even if they do not want to. The ease of access to the internet and computer in banking transactions and the increase in the processing speed have become more attractive thanks to the lower costs. In the long run, the fact that virtual money is in the electronic environment, has become the focus of positive and negative reactions. On the one hand, robotic applications, artificial intelligence and unmanned vehicles make our lives easier in certain areas while on the other hand virtualization of money in trade has provided speed and convenience to transactions. Due to virtualization, country boundaries have been bypassed and many formal procedures have actually been eliminated. States seem to have different attitudes towards virtual currencies. Some ignore the reality of virtual money, while some oppose it and others work on legal grounds. As a result, we are witnessing that virtual money has a strategic character in business life with the appearance of legal procedures outside the digital age where information, documents and transactions are coded. So that virtuel money has been a lifesaver for countries embargoed in trade wars. In this study, we will try to present the advent of virtual money which does not have the features of banknote money. The term “electronic money” first appeared in Czech legislation in 2002 as the result of the transposition of legislation into the Czech Republic’s legal system in anticipation of the country’s accession to the European Union. This term subsequently reappeared in 2009 during the recodification of the legal regulation of payment services, payment systems and electronic money. At this time, the definition was subjected to certain changes which continue to exert a significant influence on current practice with respect to the issuance and subsequent use of electronic money. This paper addresses the term “virtual money” and considers the mutual relationships between “electronic money”, “cashless money” and “virtual money” from the point of view of selected legal and economic approaches. The aim of the paper is to employ the analytical method in order to investigate selected legal and economic aspects of the various interpretations of the categories “electronic money”, “cashless money” and “virtual money”. A comparative analysis approach will be applied so as to ascertain both the legal and economic differences between these categories and general conclusions will be suggested employing the deduction method. The article is further concerned with the influence of these categories on the monetary base and money supply indicators.

Bu çalışma, günümüzde farklı birçok açıdan tartışılmakta olan dijital oyunların ticari bir meşguliyet alanı ve kazanç yöntemi olarak görülmesini fıkhî niteliği bakımından tahlil etmektedir., Developments in the field of information and communication technologies in the last century have resulted in digitalization that affects almost every aspect of life. Digitalization which has seriously transformed many areas of daily life has also significantly affected the form of games which have long been accepted as a common leisure activity and entertainment element in societies. Especially in the last halfcentury, the digital game industry which has achieved an important momentum and is growing day by day has become a popular sector economically as well. In digital games which constitute an economically important competitive field for game developers, various economic values can be gained and lost due to physical, digital, or membershipbased sale, purchase, and sale of some virtual elements in the game or relationships during the game. The fact that games that attract people’s attention for various purposes such as improving knowledge, skills, and abilities, spending time, relieving stress, and therapy are seen as commercial activities that aim to make a profit, makes it necessary to discuss this aspect of the games. This study analyzes the understanding of digital games which are discussed today from different perspectives as a commercial area of occupation and a method of earning in terms of their Islamic jurisprudential situation.

This article analysis the means of payments known in legal literature under the expressions of fiduciary (fiat) money, scriptural money and electronic money. Conceptualization of the means of payment shall be distinguished from the payment instrument, although both these institutions refer to the same phenomenon, that of money. The legislation of the Republic of Moldova transposes gradually the regulations from the European Union, in this context being examined the evolution of the legal regulations on payment services and electronic money. A phenomenon more and more present in economic relations is that of the virtual money. The virtual money shall be distinguished from the electronic money. However, from the perspective of the legal regime the institution of virtual money raises some dilemas of qualification, which are briefly addressed in this article, with special reference to the digital asset regulated by Civil code of the Republic of Moldova as from 1st March 2019.

- Abstract
Internet and online virtual communities have become a part of our lives. They provide us with a convenient way to maintain social relationships with other people. In a virtual community, people can earn virtual goods and virtual wealth. If virtual wealth can be transferred between different virtual communities, e-commerce will become more popular among members of different virtual communities. In order to achieve this goal, some virtual money exchange regimes have been proposed in literature. However, it is only possible under the premise that virtual communities are opened up to one another. Thus, there still exist problems for virtual communities that are open to each other. To cope with this problem, this paper will propose a novel scheme to exchange virtual wealth across different virtual communities. The proposed approach aims to provide a trade model and process between non-open communities. The details of the interactive process between the central trade system, the buyer, the seller, and the virtual communities will be addressed in this paper. In order to observe the performance of these trading processes, we designed and built a prototype of a central trade system and carried out some simulations based on it. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

Virtual monies present a limit case in debates about money's moral and political entanglements between sociologists, anthropologists, and economists. Digitized virtual monies seem ephemeral, almost ideal typical examples of money as a pure medium of exchange. This paper begins with the premise that virtual monies are as value-laden and morally entangled as any other form of money. This assertion is demonstrated by exploring how one type of virtual money, the Linden dollar (L$), and some of its associated practices are bound up with research participants' moral categories and judgments in the virtual world of Second Life (SL). Participants' accounts of virtual money practices are linked to moral attributes, sometimes in stark ‘good’ or ‘bad’ dichotomies, but also in more nuanced terms. These framings reproduce classifications of people and practices along a continuum with virtuousness at one end and maliciousness or harm at the other, passing through various states of possible moral dubiousness. For respondents, these two judgments go together; people are what they do with money. As a result, respondents decide what ‘people like that’ deserve. Evaluating someone's money practices means assessing the person. Participants' accounts of Linden dollar practices overlap with explanations of what SL is and how residents should live there. In SL, money is a form of material culture through which appropriate ways of being in the world are debated and reproduced. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Analiza zawarta w opracowaniu odnosi się przede wszystkim do warunków polskich., Money has been an element of the economy for centuries. During this time, its form evolved from primitive items to banknotes and coins. Nowadays, the use of electronic money and even virtual money is becoming more and more common. Therefore, there appear the questions how this money works, whether it fulfills the same functions as traditional money and whether it is an important alternative to the currently operating fiat money. In this context, the question arises whether the financial system in its present shape may continue to function or whether it rather evolves towards a system based on virtual currency. The aim of the study is to present virtual money as an alternative to traditional money and possible consequences of its expansion on the market. The analysis included in the study refers primarily to Polish conditions.

The developments in information technologies and the widespread use of internet have led to the emergence of a digital money form in the process of monetary evolution. The virtual currency schemes, which form a special type of digital coins, have attracted attention, especially with the emergence of Bitcoin. As well as being an alternative payment tool, Bitcoin brings with it a new payment system, it has been the most important factor in the increase in the popularity of virtual currency mechanisms. Bitcoin's blockchain mechanism, which is a special type of distributed ledger technology, has enabled Bitcoin and other alternative virtual currency mechanisms to be considered an important monetary innovation of recent years. On the other hand, it is seen that the studies on virtual currency schemes are focused on the evaluation of their position against nominal money and digital money and analysis of money in the context of traditional functions. In this context, discussions continue on whether virtual currency schemes should be seen as a new type of money or as a digital entity. However, it is not yet clear whether virtual currency schemes can be regarded as money at the social level and what kind of reflexes the states will show to this situation, even if the money functions. However, the growing popularity of Bitcoin has increased interest in the phenomenon of virtual currency schemes, and central banks have not been insensitive to this process and have begun to take steps to extract their own crypto or digital currency.Virtual currency schemes remain a critical issue for central banks, which are responsible for the conduct of monetary policy in modern economies. Virtual currency schemes that are not issued by any official authority are also an alternative to the money issued by the central bank. In the case of substituting the nominal money of virtual currency schemes, the ability of central banks to carry out monetary policy will be significantly affected. In addition, the structural transformation of the traditional financial system with the use of blockchain technology and the use of virtual currency mechanisms as a speculative investment tool in crypto currency exchanges is a remarkable issue for central banks in terms of financial stability. Central banks, on the other hand, are expected to provide better control of monetary policy if they issue their own digital money, which can compete better with virtual money mechanisms. In addition, the digitalization process of money and the potential for structurally changing central banking are discussed. 179

Behavioral finance has been formed by merging of psychology and finance and them forming a unique interdisciplinary discipline. Behavioral finance analyzes individuals' behaviors and financial decisions as a scientific field. Behavioral finance does not agree with the opinions that claim that people make their financial decisions logically and argues that the opposite is true. In this study, to determine the effect of Bitcoin application on behavioral finance, data have been gathered from 13 investors and findings have been analyzed by qualitative analysis. Results suggest that Bitcoin application influences investor behaviors. 89

Trust has been an important concept from an economics perspective since the past. Although many disciplines, from sociology to psychology, from economics to philosophy try to define trust, new approaches to trust have emerged lately. One of those, the cryptocurrency, aims to eliminate the third parties, namely the intermediaries, and transform the trust of the economic actors. Cryptocurrency systems, which can be described as systems that do not require trust, stand out with their innovations in money and monetary policies. In this study, the interpersonal trust and institutional trust are examined with respect to a cryptocurrency; Bitcoin, analyzing mutual effects and relationships between each other. Although interpersonal trust is important in terms of both trust in institutions and sentiment towards Bitcoin, there is no significant relationship between trust in institutions and the approach towards Bitcoin. 104

There have been many innovations in the world economy over various periods. Some of these innovations have affected only one segment or a market trend, while others have affected the whole world. With the introduction of technology into our lives, innovations have started to be experienced in trade as well as in many sectors. Due to the emergence of the credit card system, a new invention has always come into our lives in economy and commerce. Here, in recent years, we start to hear the name 'Digital Money' has become one of the last ring of this innovation. Bitcoin, which emerged in 2008 and started to be used on the internet, has become a pioneer in this area. Bitcoin is today a major judge of this market. Bitcoin's pioneer in the digital money market is growing even more day by day, with great debate in terms of risk and implementation difficulties and still not acceptable to a certain segment. In Turkey, the first digital currency concept emerged in 2013 and is still being done on several studies. Although digital currencies are not regulated by certain laws, they present very serious problems for investors, because it can not be taxed, it provides more profit and convenience that can be processed over the internet. Both are high-paying promises, as well as a new and engaging concept of digital money preferential. As a result, many experts seem to be risky by economists and even if investors are at war, digital money increases the share of the world economy on the last day and attracts new investors. In this study, it can take an active role in growing the economy, and especially after the developments in Turkey resulting in the emergence of digital money market implications are trying to achieve in this way. 110

According to the Efficient Markets Theory, asset prices reflect all information regarding the assets, and there should be no consistent patterns in returns based on calendar time or any other market differences. We examine if there are calendar time market anomalies in the crypto currency markets, and whether these anomalies, if any exists, vary across different markets based on the location. Specifically, we focus on Bitcoin, the largest crypto currency market, and search for the evidence regarding the month of the year effect anomaly in the Bitcoin markets during the period of 2015-2018. To see if market characteristics change based on the location, we compare the presence and the characteristics of the month of the year anomaly among three different Bitcoin exchanges: Bitfinex, Bitstamp and Okcoin. We find a strong month of the year effect anomaly in the Bitcoin markets during the period of our study. Although the general results are similar, we find some differences with respect to the month of the year effect anomaly among the three Bitcoin exchanges considered. 71
