Abstract

Naast de afzetmogelijkheden van biobased producten (markten) en de technologische verwerkingsmogelijkheden, bepalen de beschikbaarheid, handel en logistiek in sterke mate de wijze waarop de biobased economy in Nederland zich zal ontwikkelen. Het is noodzakelijk in de komende jaren duurzame, economisch rendabele logistieke biomassaketens op te zetten. Op dit terrein bestaat nog veel onduidelijkheid. Het doel van het project is het vormen van: gedragen toekomstbeelden van de logistiek in de biobased economy in 2025 en een gedragen agenda met actiepunten voor 2013-2017 (ofwel waarmee moeten we starten in de eerstkomende 5 jaar om de toekomstbeelden te bereiken).

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) can occur from various causes at different ages and can lead to many different types of health care needs. This makes the group of patients very diverse. Hence, many health care providers may be involved in treatment. The development of the coordination and contact points (CCP’s) over time has led to front/back office configurations that vary in the ABI networks. We address the following question: How does the front/back-office configuration of a coordination and contact point (CCP) of an ABI-network influence the performance in the process of advising ABI clients?

Abstract

Food processing industries experience growing logistical demands, growing variety in products and intense competition. As a reaction companies try to produce more on order. Often managers find it difficult to decide which products to make to order and which products to stock. This paper develops a frame that is an aid for managers in balancing the factors and characteristics of market and production process that influence such decisions. The frame is based on the general decoupling point concept by Hoekstra and Romme, which is adapted to the specific characteristics of the food processing industry. Its usefulness is illustrated in a case study. Some directions for further research are given. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
