- Abstract
Objective: To describe the experiences of healthcare professionals with integrating telemedicine in routine heart failure (HF) care., Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with healthcare professionals ( n = 19) in the Netherlands who were involved in decision-making, implementation or routine use of telemedicine in HF management. Using purposive sampling, nurses, cardiologists and managers were selected to be interviewed. Interviews were performed in-person, recorded and transcribed verbatim. Interview data were analysed using a reflexive thematic analysis., Results: This study identified four themes: (1) Responsibility - the lack of a clear delineation of roles and responsibilities among healthcare professionals, patients and suppliers in telemedicine. (2) Confidence and safety - telemedicine is seen by healthcare professionals as capable of enhancing safety, yet also introduces the risk of fostering a false sense of security among patients. (3) Collaboration - actively involving end-users in the development and implementation of telemedicine promotes the adoption. (4) Processes and mutual agreements - rather than replacing traditional care, telemedicine is perceived as an adjunct to it. Structured care pathways support telemedicine implementation, and personalised telemedicine can empower patients in self-care., Conclusions: Telemedicine is a promising intervention in the management of HF. However, existing systems and care pathways have resulted in limited adoption. Improvements in the collaboration and establishing clear agreements on responsibilities between professional, patient and supplier can lead to more confidence in adopting telemedicine. Structured care pathways can be supportive. A personalised telemedicine approach can ensure that telemedicine remains manageable for patient and professional., Competing Interests: The authors declared no potential conflicts of interest with respect to the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article., (© The Author(s) 2024.)

- Abstract
In the business world today, system development increasingly uses agile methods. For future system developers to get the most value from their education, universities have now started to use the same methods. This place demands on usability and user-friendliness in the project tools that the students use. To investigate how these project tools are experienced by students and how they support agile project methods, a qualitative action research was conducted. Five students with completed project work in an agile distributed system development course participated in a semi-structured interview. A content analysis was performed using Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM3). The results show that the students experienced shortcomings in certain areas in terms of both usability and ease of use. The study also shows that teachers have a direct impact on which project tools are used. Therefore, the project tools used should be carefully examined in terms of usability and ease of use before they are introduced to students. The study shows the importance of building up a habit and experience of the tools early in the education in order to increase students' perceived usability and ease of use., Systemutveckling i näringslivet använder sig i dag i allt högre utsträckning av agila metoder.

Puskesmas is very needed for the people of Indonesia society especially in Purwokerto city, but the community has not so much to know the location information of the health center and what services are available in each - each puskesmas. For that we need an Android-based geographic information system that provides information about the location of puskesmas in the city of Purwokerto. In the search location would require a position or a position known as geographic information. The most widely used geographical information of the community at this time is the Google Maps app.In the design and development of the application, used prototype model and data source obtained from Google Maps and Puskesmas location data obtained from the health office of Purwokerto and Purwokerto City Health Center. The built applications must be tested for performance based on Dimension of Quality for Goods (DQG) and tested the benefits by using ULEA (Useability, Learnability, Eficiency, Acceptability) variables. The result of this research is a tested android application performance based on DQG, with the result of test value has exceeded the predetermined limits of> 75 and the percentage obtained from the benefit test using ULEA variable above 80% then the product is declared successful. So that makes it easier for people to know the location of puskesmas located in the city of Purwokerto and information about the target puskesmas.

In recent decades, the scientific community has become aware of the importance of science being effectively open in order to speed up scientific and technological progress. In this context, the achievement of a robust, effective and responsible form of data sharing is now widely acknowledged as a fundamental part of the research process. The production and resolution of human genomic data has steadily increased in recent years, mainly due to technological advances and decreasing costs of DNA genotyping and sequencing. There is, however, a downside to this process due to the huge increase in the complexity of the data and related metadata. This means it is advisable to go beyond traditional forms of sharing analysis, which have focused on data availability only. Here we present a pilot study that aims to complement a survey on the availability of data related to peer-reviewed publications with an analysis of their findability, accessibility, useability and assessability (according to the "intelligent data openness" scheme). Sharing rates in genomic anthropology (73.0%) were found to be higher than human genomics (32.4%), but lower than closely related research fields (from 96.8% to 79.2% for paleogenetics and evolutionary genetics, respectively). We discuss the privacy and methodological issues that could be linked to this finding. Comparisons of sharing rates across a wide range of disciplines has suggested that the idea of human genomics as a forerunner for the open data movement should be questioned. Finally, both in genomic anthropology and human genomics, findability and useability were found to be compliant with the expectations of an intelligent data openness, whereas only a minor part of studies met the need to make the data completely assessable.

- Abstract
Background Despite the advancement of scientific research in the field of maternity care, midwives face challenges translating latest evidence into evidence-based practice (EBP) and express reticence towards leading practice change in clinical areas. This study aimed to explore midwifery leaders’ views on what factors help or hinder midwives’ efforts to translate latest evidence into everyday practice and consider them in relation to both the Capability, Opportunity, Motivation and Behaviour (COM-B) model and Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF). Methods This qualitative study formed part of a larger action research (AR) project that was designed to improve midwives’ EBP implementation capability. Data were obtained from eight Western Australian midwifery leaders who were employed in either managerial or executive positions within their organisation. Five midwives attended a focus group workshop and three opted for face-to-face interviews. Thematic analysis was used to code the transcribed data and group alike findings into sub-categories, which were collapsed to four major categories and one overarching core finding. These were mapped to a matrix combining the COM-B and TDF to establish the usability of these tools in midwifery contexts. Results Four major categories were developed from the data collected in this study. Three reported the hindrances midwives’ experienced when trying to initiate new EBPs: ‘For midwives, medical opposition and workplace culture are the biggest challenges’, ‘Fear can stop change: it’s personal for midwives’ and ‘Midwives are tired of fighting the battle for EBP; they need knowledge and the confidence to bring about practice change.’ The other major category highlighted factors midwives’ considered helpers of EBP: ‘Having stakeholder buy-in and strong midwifery leadership is a huge advantage.’ When mapped to the TDF and COM-B, these findings provided valuable insight into the helpers of and hindrances to evidence-based practice in midwi

One of the significant challenges facing the development of web portals is optimising the usability of such e-infrastructures for diverse, yet specialised, uses. This paper presents a usability framework for supporting the iterative testing and development of the Australian Urban Research Infrastructure Network (AURIN) portal. The portal serves as a securitised environment for data sharing, and as a repository of open-source analytical routines to support urban decision-making. Harmonisation, security, accessibility and discoverability are critical concerns at the data level as many different kinds of federated data are being referenced by the portal. Furthermore, urban researchers are accessing this portal across Australia as an advanced spatial decision support system. A further design consideration for the portal is that it needs to be able to be usable by non-experts to discover and access a broad spectrum of digital data and analytical tools relevant to human settlements. Managing the complexity across many areas and supporting a spectrum of naïve to expert users are significant challenges. In this research we present an overview of a usability framework, developed for the AURIN project, which elicits feedback from naïve users through to domain experts. This feedback is captured through hands-on workshops with participants and one-on-one user testing sessions. In this paper we report the findings from initial workshops with end-users and one-on-one testing sessions. We analyse this feedback to understand the current strengths and weaknesses of the system. The end-user feedback provides a dual purpose. Firstly, it is fed back to the technical development team as part of a cycle of continuous improvement. Secondly, the workshops also provide a vehicle for engaging end-users and raising awareness of the AURIN data search, interrogation and visualisation capabilities. We conclude the paper by discussing the next steps in developing and implementing the usability framework in relation to the AURIN portal. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

Aims In order to develop efficient digital pathology workstations, we studied the navigation patterns of pathologists diagnosing whole-slide images. To gain a better understanding of these patterns, we built a conceptual model based on observations. We also determined whether or not new navigation patterns have emerged among pathologists with extensive digital experience. Methods and results Five pathologists were asked to diagnose a set of four cases while thinking out loud. The navigation within the digital slides was recorded and divided into re-occurring navigation actions. The pathologists reused the same type of actions, but their occurrence differed. The most common action was a slow panning that followed an edge structure or covered an area systematically, which accounted for 30.2% of all actions and had a median duration of 7.2 s. Of all the actions, 49% were carried out within the navigation overview and 38% of the actions could not have been performed with a conventional microscope. Conclusions The new navigation possibilities in the digital workstation were used to a large extent. The division of actions into different concepts can be used to find and prioritize between existing user interface designs as well as to understand the different navigation styles used by different pathologists. Access to parks and green spaces within residential neighbourhoods has been shown to be an important pathway to generating better physical and mental health for individuals and communities. Early research in this area often failed to identify specific attributes that contributed to reported health outcomes, with more recent research focused on exploring relationships between health outcomes and aspects of access and design. A mixed methods research project conducted in Perth, Western Australia examined the role that neighbourhood green space played in influencing residents' self-reported health status, and this paper identifies significant relationships found between perceptions of green space quality and self-reported health. It focuses on the factors that were found to be most positively associated with better health outcomes: proximity, retention, useability and visitation of neighbourhood green space. The heavy workload at highly busy health facilities in the rural and semi-rural areas in Malawi makes the regular work routines extra hard for the health workers. Many of those areas use fully paper-based systems that require the health personnel to handle large amounts of data manually, which in many cases, leads to some erroneous data being stored caused by both human errors and other types of errors. One of the areas at work that have a heavy burden is the identification of all the patients – making the workers search, add, and alter all the data entries manually. Various solutions are possible for digitizing the system and the working routines. However, what solution to work on is a tough task due to several contextual considerations. Malawi, being one of the world's poorest countries, has a limited amount of budget for the health sector. Therefore, our goal was to suggest a solution that could help the health workers in their work by utilizing the limited resources. This topic is about testing a prototype on an android device for a low-budget context that could fulfill the same user-requirements in a potential better way. The app to assist the health workers is developed by an open-source platform, DHIS2, which allows the users to use the functionality even without an internet connection. For patient identification, QR codes were used to encode and decode the patient data. These QR codes make the data quickly accessible to the workers, leading to better effectiveness and efficiency in the health information system.

HOUSING , *RESIDENTIAL patterns , *EVALUATION , *PRESERVATION of materials , *JOINT occupancy of buildings - Abstract
Survival of traditional housing and its fabric in its original function in accordance with the principle of sustainable conservation is dependent upon its convenience to the contemporary occupancy criteria. As housing occupancy is the basic right of humanity, traditional housing and its fabric have to be considered within the criteria of liveability or at least provide the basic needs of occupancy. For liveability and conservation-survival or in another word for sustainability, each necessitating different conditions and interventions, "useability" is the common condition. This condition can be achieved if "post-occupancy" is evaluated before the implementations of conservation-survival and if it directs the interventions. Post occupancy evaluation is basic in the determination of useability level. In this procedure, conservation and survival of the traditional housing and its fabric (its physical and spatial characteristics) appears to be an important restriction. With this restriction, needs and demands differentiating with the occupant (age, sex, cultural and social identity, etc.) are determined with the difficulties and/or easinesses of use. Within this perspective, useability level and potential of the traditional housing and its fabric are determined in the case of Beypazarı/Turkey. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Online jobseeking platforms are now widespread, but little research has been done so far on what drives them, what they are required for and what their success depends on, as well as how they influence the success of individual jobseekers. This dissertation includes a study on various aspects that potentially affect jobseeking success and pertain to online jobseeking platforms. This dissertation aims to investigate how the use of jobseeking platforms impacts the success of a job search, as well as how the success of that job search is affected by a site’s usability. These aspects were investigated through a jobseeking habits survey answered by 73 participants and analysed to draw conclusions on the sample and wider world. Due to the nature of the sample, a more qualitative approach was also taken, with individual respondents’ answers to an open-ended question also taken into account. The survey respondents were classified into three types: generalist users, specific users and youthful users, and further analysed to obtain a more accurate idea of their jobseeking habits and subsequent success. It was concluded that a higher educational level can be a strong precursor to job search success. Moreover, the use of jobseeking platforms does, in fact, impact the success of a job search, in this case positively. utilização de plataformas de procura de emprego "online" são uma prática corrente.

Using the World Wide Web (WWW) as an interactive educative tool is still a relatively new concept, and little is known of its impact on learning when it is used as a dynamic learning tool. Despite this the use of educational internet sites, in the form of virtual classrooms and courses, appears to be increasing rapidly. Thus, it is important that their ability to facilitate learning is evaluated. We present the findings of a preliminary study which examined the amount, type and quality of leaning of an undergraduate indroductory history course when presented to three different groups of participants. All participants received four regularly spaced 30 minute study and repeated test sessions over an eight day period. A final test of new questions was also administered at the end of the study. Results showed that the amount of historical knowledge acquired by the end of the study was greatest for those paticpants who learnt using traditional methods, and that over the four test sessions this group consistently outperformed both computer groups. Moreover, the way in which knowledge was acquired was qualitatively different in the groups with the traditional group exhibiting more 'Know' responses while the Intranet group exhibited more 'Remember' responses. Finally, using useability questionnaires, we found that participants preferred learning via traditional methods to screen and Intranet presentations, and that participants who had learnt using computers felt that their learning experience had suffered. These findings have important implications for educators, and others who wish to use the Internet as a training tool, and we discuss our findings through the evaluation of the different presentational media used, specific Intranet design criteria and general usability factors, which, we suggest, are of paramount importance.

- Abstract
Background - Older people commonly experience difficulty using public transport, and identify a range of barriers and facilitators to bus use. Purpose - This study aimed to evaluate the impact of implementing age-friendly guidelines for public buses on bus use, useability and social participation for older people. Methodology Age-friendly changes were implemented in Hervey Bay, Queensland, over a 3 year period. Changes included more lower floor buses, age-awareness training for bus drivers, more frequent scheduling, improved pedestrian infrastructure, a bus buddy program and trial of a flexible route bus. Brisbane, Queensland, served as a control site. This study adopted two complementary methodologies for evaluating the impact of age-friendly changes. The first study incorporated on-board satisfaction surveys with 335 bus users. The second involved a repeated measures cohort study (n = 100) with bus users and non-users.Results - Implementation of age-friendly changes in Hervey Bay, Queensland, resulted in improved satisfaction with, and perceived useability of, the bus system. Participants in Hervey Bay maintained their bus use and social activity participation, while participants in Brisbane experienced a decline in ease of bus use and social activity participation over the intervention period. Conclusion - The implementation of age-friendly guidelines for public buses may improve the useability of bus systems for older people and result in maintenance of participation in social activities.

An advergame is a tool for the business of advertisment, a business which has during the past years of digital evolution gone through a lot of change. This change demands greater knowledge and a better understanding amongst both the creators and users of the games. The purpose of the thesis was to initiate a framework for the creation of “good” advergames. For this the word “good” needed to be defined and understood so that also the discussion regarding games and advertising could improve. The material which the thesis was based on originated from an advergame created during a two month long internship and from the design document that the digital agency North Kingdom released after their advergame, The Coke Zero Game. With qualitative methods, results were collected and later on examined against a theoretic base of knowledge surrounding marketing, interaction- and game design, useability and common expressions used in the context of games. After the analysis the conclusions narrowed down into a framework of qualities that an advergame should strive for.

- Abstract
In early 1997, the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States Air Force Academy conducted an evaluation to determine whether to migrate from Mathematica 2.2 to Mathematica 3.0 or to switch to Mathcad Plus 6.0 which was being successfully used by the Department of Physics. A 38 members team evaluated the suitability of both software packages in terms of user friendliness and functionality using sample problems taken from Precalculus, Calculus I, II, and III, Differential Equations, and Engineering Mathematics as well as some advanced physics courses. This technical report is a comprehensive documentation of this evaluation describing the methodology, findings, and conclusions of this evaluation. In the end, the Department of Mathematical Sciences choose to migrate to Mathematica 3.0 due primarily to superior functionality, while the Department of Physics found that Mathcad Plus 6.0 met all of their needs and was easier to use by their students.
