Considering the relevance of the consumption of domestic refrigerators in the Brazilian residential sector, representing about 30% of the sectorial consumption, studies of factors that influence this consumption, such as ambient temperature, age of equipment and usage habits, are of great importance to a greater understanding of these effects and, thus, to promote better energy strategies for the country. In this sense, the present study evaluates the impacts of ambient temperature, age of the equipment and habits of use in the consumption of domestic refrigerators, based on theoretical models and laboratory tests. The laboratories assays, adhering to theoretical models, showed that the environment temperature can influence the consumption of refrigerators up to 50% less (taking into account the south region temperature), when comparing to the value that are labeled by PBE/INMETRO. When the usage habits are assayed, it was verified that the consumption of the refrigerator could be increased in up to 53%, depending the frequency of door opening. Considerando la relevancia del consumo de refrigeradores domésticos en el sector residencial brasileño, que representa cerca del 30% del consumo sectorial, los estudios de los factores que influyen en ese consumo, como la temperatura ambiente, la antigüedad de los equipos y los hábitos de uso, son de gran importancia para una una mayor comprensión de estos efectos y, con ello, promover mejores estrategias energéticas para el país. En ese sentido, el presente estudio evalúa los impactos de la temperatura ambiente, la antigüedad de los equipos y los hábitos de uso en el consumo de refrigeradores domésticos, a partir de modelos teóricos y pruebas de laboratorio. Los ensayos de laboratorio, apegados a modelos teóricos, demostraron que la temperatura ambiente puede influir en el consumo de los frigoríficos hasta en un 50% menos (considerando la temperatura de la región sur), al comparar con el valor que marca el PBE/INMETRO. Al ensayar los hábitos de uso, se verificó que el consumo de la heladera puede incrementarse hasta en un 53%, dependiendo de la frecuencia de apertura de la puerta. La mayoría de la población usa los TIC con cotidianidad y más allá del uso académico los TIC son parte de la vida social de la gente. El proceso de digitalización nombrado anteriormente tiene un peso importante entre la población joven. Las redes sociales y juegos online son unas de las herramientas más utilizadas y los jóvenes suelen tener mucha actividad social en ellas. En la sociedad del siglo XXI estas herramientas son otra forma para relacionarse entre las personas y pueden afectar a la subjetividad de los estudiantes. En este trabajo se han analizado las costumbres de uso de las TIC y la percepción de la privacidad que tienen los jóvenes respecto a eso. Para ello, se ha usado un cuestionario repartido por tres centros docentes en los que han respondido 272 alumnos. En los datos analizados se refleja que los alumnos son usuarios cotidianos de las TIC. Aún así, hay diferentes aspectos en las cuales la formación es muy necesaria. [EN] In the twenty-first century society, the consequences of the digitalization process can be seen clearly. The majority of the population uses ICTs in their everyday nature, and beyond the academic use of those, ICTs are part of people’s social life. The digitalization process mentioned above has a significant impact on the young population. Social networks and online games are one of the most used tools and young people tend to have a lot of social activity on them. In nowadays society, these tools are another way to relate between people and can affect students' subjectivity. This study analysed young people's ICT usage habits and their perception of privacy. To do so, a questionnaire was distributed to three educational centres, to which 272 pupils responded. The data analysed shows that pupils are daily users of ICT. Even so, there are different aspects in which training is very necessary.

This study aims to determine the perceptions families have about their children’s use of Information and Communication Technologies, identifying usage habits and their effects on the management of emotions, within the academic and social settings. The study was conducted with a total of 253 families from throughout Spain, whose children are between the ages of 14 and 16 and are attending compulsory secondary education. To this end, a crosssectional non-experimental study was carried out by means of a survey. The families surveyed indicate that their children use technology for five hours a day, the mobile phone being the most widely used device, and that this directly affects their levels of irritability and frustration when usage is limited, but does not cause adverse effects in academic and social settings.

Nowadays, most of women use personal care and decorative cosmetics daily. The effects of cosmetic products, including the occurenceor absence of side effects, depend on theis use habits. The aim of the survey was to investigate cosmetics use habits and related side effects among females.

Virtual reality (VR) and VR gaming have seen substantial advancement during the recent years both in terms of technological development and the number of users. A notable rise has also occurred in the number of VR arcades. Despite the growing academic interest towards VR and VR gaming, there is still a dearth of understanding on the usage aspects of VR gaming and VR arcades. To address this gap, this study explored the habits of using VR arcades with emphasis on digital gaming. Specific focus was set on investigating differences between gender, age, and physical activity background. The study was exploratory in nature and based on a quantitative analysis of data collected from 126 respondents in Finland. The findings of this study bring new knowledge to this emerging subject, and thus, extend our understanding on the habits of using VR arcades and VR games. The study shows that digital gaming is clearly the most popular form of entertainment in VR arcades. Also, for the vast majority, the main purpose to visit VR arcades is gaming for fun, and it is more popular to visit VR arcades together with others than alone. The findings also demonstrate how VR gaming can be a new frontier for exergaming. Gender, age, and physical activity background differences are discussed. As a practical contribution, the findings are used to present implications for VR gaming and VR arcade stakeholders. peerReviewed

İnternet önce bilgisayar, daha sonra tablet bilgisayar ve en sonunda da akıllı telefonlarla birlikte sosyal medyaaraçlarını da kullanarak hayatımızı iyiden iyiye çevrelemiştir. Toplumun her kesiminde internet ve sosyal medyayaygın kullanıma sahiptir. Bu araştırmada görme engelli kullanıcıların internet ve sosyal medya araçları kullanımalışkanlıklarının tespit edilip, onların hayatlarındaki önemi gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda,görme engelli kullanıcıların belirlenen demografik bilgileri doğrultusunda internet ve sosyal medya araçları ileilgili görüşlerini belirlemek için anket hazırlanmıştır. Bu anket formu görme engelli kullanıcılara sosyal medyaaraçları kullanılarak ulaştırılmış, veriler toplanmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan veri toplama aracı ile Türkiye’ninfarklı şehirlerinde yaşayan ve farklı yaş gruplarından 43 görme engelli kullanıcıdan veriler elde edilmiştir.Verilerin analizinde betimleyici istatistikler kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları incelendiğinde görme engellikullanıcıların internet ve sosyal medya araçlarını kullanım sıklıklarının, amaçlarının ve paylaşımlarının diğerkullanıcılarla benzerlik gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte görme engelli kullanıcıların internet ve sosyalmedya kullanım sıklıklarının cinsiyet, yaş grubu ve mezuniyet durumları arasında bir farklılık olmadığınıgöstermiştir. Internet and social media usage have considerably increased in eachsection of the society. The purpose of this study is to investigate internet and social media usage habits of blindusers and shed light on the importance of these habits in their lives. In line with this purpose, a survey form wasdeveloped to examine internet and social media usage patterns of blind users in terms of several demographicvariables. The data draws on the survey form submitted to blind users through social media tools. A total of 43blind users with different ages who live in different cities in Turkey responded to the survey. Descriptivestatistics were employed to analyze the data set. The findings indicate that the frequencies, objectives andsharings of internet or social media usage of blind users show no differences than other users. Additionally, theresults revealed that there was no statistically significant difference between the frequency of internet and socialmedia usage of blind users and demographic characteristics, such as gender, age and levels of education.However, it has been found that blind users with secondary, high school and associate degree spend more timeon internet and social networking sites when compared to those with undergraduate degree.

Profundizar en los cambios que se están perfilando en los hábitos on-line de los adolescentes, en particular debido a la fuerte irrupción de las redes sociales en su vida cotidiana, así como en las implicaciones socioculturales de estos procesos, es el objeto de este trabajo. La metodología de investigación se centró en un cuestionario autoadministrado aplicado a escala nacional. Sobre una muestra representativa nacional de 2.077 adolescentes (de 12 a 17 años), se ha buscado actualizar la información relativa a las prácticas on-line entre los menores y adolescentes españoles, con atención específica a la extensión del fenómeno de las redes sociales e identificando su influencia sobre las prácticas de los adolescentes en la Red. De igual modo, se comparan los usos entre los usuarios habituales de las redes sociales y los que no las tienen entre sus prácticas cotidianas, con la idea de detectar la influencia del uso de las redes sociales en los usos generales en Internet y controlando esa relación en función de cuatro variables: sexo, edad, titularidad del centro al que asisten los adolescentes y clase social. Entre las principales conclusiones destacamos el uso más intensivo en tiempo y en actividades de los usuarios que utilizan muy frecuentemente las redes sociales, con especial incidencia en aquellas actividades que les permiten mantener el contacto y compartir contenidos con sus pares., The aim of this article is to study in depth the changes taking place in the habits of adolescents using online communication, particularly due to the dramatic arrival of social networks in their daily lives, and the sociocultural implications of these processes. The research methodology focuses on a self-administered questionnaire applied nationally. Based on the results of a survey of a representative national sample of 2,077 adolescents (12 to 17-year-olds), this study has sought to update the information about online practices among Spanish adolescents, specifically with regard to the remarkable development of social networks. Similarly, the behavior of both regular users of social networks and of non-regular users has been compared, with the aim of detecting the influence of social network use on general online life, and we have considered the following variables: gender, age, funding type of the educational establishment and social class. Among the main conclusions of the study, we emphasize a more intensive use of the Internet as regards time and activities by those who are more frequent users of social networks, and especially the activities they carry out to keep in touch and share content with their equals.

Twitter has a potential to be used as a professional and social networking since individuals who have similar interests can meet on Twitter. Twitter is a multiplatform Web 2.0, part social networking - part microblogging tool, freely accessibly on the Web. The aim of this study was to investigate the usage habits of undergraduate students on Twitter. The study was conducted on ninety three volunteered undergraduate students. The data obtained by the survey was analyzed and commented upon using the SPSS program with the percentage, frequency, and mean statistical analysis techniques. As the results show, majority of the participants, spent most of their time on Twitter. Quotes, photos, videos, music, news, IT news and magazine news are the most commonly shared items on Twitter. However, educational materials were observed to be least frequently shared by the students. From this premise, we argue that investigating the most preferred usage habits of students on Twitter is an important and hot topic research. We believe that in future days more research will be focused on usage of Twitter in education due to its characteristics and student's interest in this social network. Therefore, this study could be considered as an important preliminary study in this field.

Yoğun ve hızlı tempolu kent yaşamı çocukların doğal çevreler ile bağlantılarının kopmasına neden olmakta ve yetişkinler gibi onlar da daha çok iç mekânlarda zaman geçirmeye yönelik pasif hayat tarzlarını gittikçe daha çok benimsemektedirler. Oysaki dış mekânda açık-yeşil alanlarda zaman geçirmenin ve aktivitelere katılmanın fiziksel ve ruhsal gelişim üzerine birçok olumlu etkisi bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle araştırmada ilköğretim çağındaki 6-12 yaş grubu çocukların açık-yeşil alan kullanım alışkanlıklarının belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında Çanakkale kent merkezinde bulunan ilköğretim okullarında anket çalışmaları yapılarak, çocukların ve ebeveynlerinin açık-yeşil alanları kullanım alışkanlıkları saptanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda çocukların serbest zamanlarında iç mekânda gerçekleştirilen aktivitelere daha çok katıldıkları ve dış mekanda ise kamusal açık-yeşil alanlar yerine yaşadıkları konutların bahçelerini kullandıkları belirlenmiştir. Ebeveynlerin güvenlik kaygılarının çocukların açık-yeşil alan kullanımları üzerine etkileri olduğu saptanmıştır. Çocukların cinsiyet ya da yaşadıkları konut tipinin açık-yeşil alan kullanım desenleri üzerine bir etkisi bulunmadığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca hem çocuklar, hem de ebeveynler mevcut açık- yeşil alanlarındaki oyun elemanlarının ve olanaklarının çeşitliliğini yetersiz olarak değerlendirmişlerdir. Sonuç olarak, çocukların açık-yeşil alan kullanımlarını arttırmak için farklı yaş gruplarına hitap edecek çeşitlilikte ve kent bütününde oyun alanlarının tasarlanmasına ve açık-yeşil alan kullanımının çocukların yetiştirilmesi ve eğitilmesindeki ilgili paydaşlar tarafından teşvik edilmesine gerek duyulmaktadır. The aim of research is to find out mobile phone adult user habits and understanding of electromagnetic field effects on health. A comprehensive literature searches and analyzation was conducted in the electronic databases (Pubmed, Accessmedicine etc.), to find out later research outcomes about electromagnetic field impact on health, also electronic survey was conducted and results statisticaly processed with SPSS 24. 192 respondents participated in study: 117– females, 75– males in age range from 18 to 55 years. Hypothesis: Understanding the electromagnetic field health effects reduce the use of mobile phones on a daily basis not confirmed, because the majority of respondents are not willing to change their cell phone use patterns, or believe that it is not possible.
