In recent years, a number of functional inequalities have been derived for Poisson random measures, with a wide range of applications. In this paper, we prove that such inequalities can be extended to the setting of marked temporal point processes, under mild assumptions on their Papangelou conditional intensity. First, we derive a Poincaré inequality. Second, we prove two transportation cost inequalities. The first one refers to functionals of marked point processes with a Papangelou conditional intensity and is new even in the setting of Poisson random measures. The second one refers to the law of marked temporal point processes with a Papangelou conditional intensity, and extends a related inequality which is known to hold on a general Poisson space. Finally, we provide a variational representation of the Laplace transform of functionals of marked point processes with a Papangelou conditional intensity. The proofs make use of an extension of the Clark-Ocone formula to marked temporal point processes. Our results are shown to apply to classes of renewal, nonlinear Hawkes and Cox point processes. In this paper, we established a quadratic transportation cost inequality under the uniform/maximum norm for solutions of stochastic heat equations driven by multiplicative space-time white noise. The proof is based on a new inequality we obtained for the moments of the stochastic convolution with respect to space-time white noise, which is of independent interest. The solutions of such stochastic partial differential equations are typically not semimartingales on the state space.

Let (X,ρ) be a Polish space endowed with a probability measure μ. Assume that we can do Malliavin Calculus on (X,μ). Let d:X×X→[0,+∞] be a pseudo-distance. Consider QtF(x)=infy∈X{F(y)+d2(x,y)/2t}. We shall prove that QtF satisfies the Hamilton–Jacobi inequality under suitable conditions. This result will be applied to establish transportation cost inequalities on path groups and loop groups in the spirit of Bobkov, Gentil and Ledoux.

We consider a finite or countable collection of one-dimensional Brownian particles whose dynamics at any point in time is determined by their rank in the entire particle system. Using transportation cost inequalities for stochastic processes we provide uniform fluctuation bounds for the ordered particles, their local time of collisions and various associated statistics over intervals of time. For example, such processes, when exponentiated and rescaled, exhibit power law decay under stationarity; we derive concentration bounds for the empirical estimates of the index of the power law over large intervals of time. A key ingredient in our proofs is a novel upper bound on the Lipschitz constant of the Skorokhod map that transforms a multidimensional Brownian path to a path which is constrained not to leave the positive orthant.

International audience; In this paper, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for Talagrand's like transportation cost inequalities on the real line. This brings a new wide class of examples of probability measures enjoying a dimension-free concentration of measure property. Another byproduct is the characterization of modified Log-Sobolev inequalities for Log-concave probability measures on R.
