To address challenges such as the complex correlations among multiple parameters during the modeling process of plant factory transplanters, the large differences between simulations and actual models, and the difficulties in data acquisition and processing, this paper proposes the concept of a Plant Factory Transplanter (PFT) digital twin five-dimensional model based on research of plant factory transplanters. The PFT digital twin five-dimensional model builds on traditional 3D modeling and includes physical entities, virtual models, services, twin data, and connecting interactions. This study delves deeply into the connotations and construction methods of the PFT five-dimensional model from the five aspects of PFT physical entity, virtual entity, services, twin data, and connections, and illustrates the implementation steps and effects of each link. Finally, practical examples of the application of the PFT digital twin five-dimensional model are presented in actual scenarios. The five-dimensional modeling approach for plant factory transplanters based on digital twins can monitor the working status of transplanters online and evaluate the effectiveness of transplantation. This method overcomes problems such as poor adaptability and difficulty in updating physical models, thus improving the efficiency of monitoring and optimizing configuration parameters. Moreover, the generated virtual entities are more intuitively reflected in the control interface, significantly reducing the reliance of equipment operators on relevant professional skills. In the future, the proposed digital twin five-dimensional model is expected to be further refined and optimized, with creation tools and application scenarios studied. Application research will also be conducted to meet different application requirements.

This study examines sustainable agricultural development in Vietnam by focusing on rice production in the Mekong Delta. Vietnam is the third largest rice-exporting country in the world and more than 90% of rice for export is from the Mekong Delta. We attempt to identify changes in the rice industry, specifically examining farming mechanization, trends in farm operation, and farm household economy. The main structure of our study is based on our direct interviews with 420 farmer households, 81 registered large farm owners, 75 farming service providers, and local government members. We carried out those interviews in 2013 and 2014. We identified several important changes brought by technological advances, economic modernization, government policies, and environmental movements. One important finding was the increasing trend of agricultural land per farmer household, such as from 1.98 to 2.27 ha in 2010 to 2018, and the decreasing trend of labor force, which pushed up agricultural mechanization. Another point was the land law revised in 2013, which allowed farmers to borrow (no private land ownership in Vietnam) farms up to 30ha/household if registered as a &ldquo, Trang Trai&rdquo, farm. Farmers accepted the use of tractors and combine harvesters, however, rice seed sowing was not mechanized, so rice transplanters were rarely used for rice planting. Among the processes of rice production, sowing of rice seeds was the least mechanized. In order to achieve more sustainable agricultural practices, we recommend improving the mechanization of the rice seed sowing process for the Mekong Delta farmers with acceptable conditions. Another finding was positive movements among Mekong Delta researchers and farmers to improve their rice quality to be accepted as high-quality rice in the global rice market and to dispel the bad reputation of the past.

Fesleğen (Ocimum basilicum L.) tek yıllık çalı formunda hoş kokulu, kendisine has aroması olan ilaç ve baharat bitkilerindendir. İran, Güney Asya ve özellikle Hindistan kökenli olan fesleğen bitkisi sıcak iklime sahip yerlerde doğal yetiştiği gibi, Fransa, İtalya ve İspanya'da kültürü de yapılmaktadır. Fesleğen tohumlarının çok küçük oluşu, hassas ekim makinası ile ekimini imkansız kılmakta, ayrıca tohum fiyatlarının çok yüksek oluşu sebebiyle serpme ekim uygun olmamaktadır. Ülkemizde fesleğen yetiştiriciliği, tohumlarla saksılara ekilip hobi olarak yapılmakta veya ticari olarak fideden tarlaya şaşırtılarak yapılmaktadır. İçerisinde barındırdığı sayısız yararlı özellikler ve kullanıldığı alanlardaki ihtiyaçlar göz önüne alındığında fesleğen bitkisinin ülkemizde daha geniş alanlarda tarımının yapılması oldukça önem arz etmektedir.Bu çalışmada; fesleğen tohumunun kaplanarak makinalı ekime uygun hale getirilmesi, üretiminin daha kolay ve yaygın olarak yapılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu amaçla fesleğen bitkisinin en uygun karışım ile kaplanması, kaplanmış ve çıplak tohumların fiziko-mekanik özelliklerinin belirlenmesi; pnömatik hassas ekim makinasında ekimi; tarla çalışmalarında, tarla filiz çıkış derecesi, nispi tarla filiz çıkış derecesi vb. incelenmiştir. Araştırmada şahit olarak fide dikimi yapılmıştır. Bu nedenle fidelerin viyollerde sera ortamında yetiştirilmesi, tarlaya şaşırtılması, fide tutma yüzdesi vb. incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda tarlaya makine ile ekilen kaplı tohumlar ile fide olarak dikilen fesleğenlerin 70 gün sonra aynı boya geldiklerinde çalışma sonlandırılmıştır. Kaplı fesleğen tohumlarının makine ile ekimi ve fide dikimi karşılaştırıldığında tohum kaplamanın yetiştiricilik anlamında daha avantajlı olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.Anahtar Sözcükler: Fesleğen, tohum kaplama, fiziko-mekanik özellikler, makinalı ekim, fide dikim Basil is known as one of the pharmaceutical plant and as a culinary herb that has it's own aromatic smell, grows and produces its own seed within one year. Origins of basil come from Iran, South Asia and especcially İndia. However, most commonly it is distributed in France, Italy and Spain despite the fact that Mediterranean climate and warm climate regions are more avaible for the plants organic cultivation. As the seed of Basil are very small and it makes impossible to seed with the sensitive sowing machine. Moreover, as seed's kilogram price is very high, this makes it impossible for broadcast seeding. In our country cultivation of basil can be seen as a hobby, people grow basil in little flower pot, and trading of the herb is also made by agricultural areas in the fields. As it reserves countless effective features in itself and it is used for various areas it gains too much importance for the country thus the cultivation can be seen in wide agricultural areas.In this study, basil seeds are pelleted for making it avaible for mechanical cultivation. For making the process easy and useful for wide areas. For this reason basil herbs are pelleted with the most suitable mixture and determination of physico-mechanical properties of the seeds. In the study plant seeding is done for testifier. For this reason growing of seedlings in greenhouse, planting of them and percentage of the success are analyzed. The process is concluded when the pelleted seedlings which are cultivated by machinery and basils which are planting as seeds have came at the same height after 70 days. Bu tez, dikim yatağı hazırlığı için uygulanan geleneksel ve azaltılmış toprak işleme yöntemlerinin potlu domates ve karpuz fidelerinin makineli dikiminde, dikim kalitesine etkisinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Denemelerde yatay magazinli düze ve sırta dikim yapabilen bir fide dikim makinesi kullanılmıştır. Makine; dikim ünitesi, çizi açıcı, baskı tekerleği, can suyu ünitesi ve fide kasası platformundan oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada dikim kalitesini belirlemek için toplam altı kriter incelenmiştir. Bu kriterler sıra üzeri dikim mesafesi, dikim derinliği, fidelerin toprakta tutunması, fide konumu, fide zedelenmesi ve fide tutma oranından oluşmaktadır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, geleneksel ve azaltılmış toprak işleme yöntemlerinin ortalama sıra üzeri uzaklığa etkisi önemsiz iken sırta dikime geçildiğinde varyasyonun düze dikime göre arttığı saptanmıştır. Dikim derinliğinde ise, geleneksel toprak işlemede, azaltılmış toprak işlemeye göre genellikle ortalama dikim derinliğinin daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Farklı toprak işleme yöntemlerinin fide konumuna etkisi domateste önemsiz iken karpuzda önemli bulunmuştur. Makineyle yapılan dikimlerde domates ve karpuz fidelerinin tutma oranları incelendiğinde, makinenin tüm toprak işleme yöntemlerinde tutma oranlarının yüksek olduğu ve sebze fidelerinde istenen en az %90 tutma oranının üzerinde bir oranla ve kabul edilebilir olduğu saptanmıştır. Farklı toprak işleme yöntemlerinde hem düze hem de sırta dikimde makinenin ortalama zedelenme oranları %3'ün altında olup kabul edilebilir sınırlar içindedir. Denemeye alınan fide dikim makinesi ile domates ve karpuz fidelerinin dikiminde, dikim kalitesi açısından azaltılmış toprak işleme yöntemi, geleneksel toprak işleme yöntemine alternatif olarak önerilebilir.ANAHTAR KELİMELER: Fide dikim makinesi, potlu fide dikimi, azaltılmış toprak işleme, Solanum lycopersicum, Citrullus lanatus This thesis was conducted to determine the effect of transplanting quality of conventional and conservative tillage methods which were applied for soil preparetion for potted tomato and watermelon seedlings transplantation. Horizontally carouselled transplanting machine is used in field tests which is able to transplant in bed and flat transplanting. Machine consists of transplantation unit, auger, soil covering wheel, watering unit and pot tray gripper. Six major criterias were investigated on research to determine of transplanting quality. This criterias were, intra row distance, transplantation depth, the gripping force of seedlings on soil, seedling location, damage of seedling and seedling transplantation success. According to field test results; effect of conventional and conservative tillage methods on average intra row distance was not important. It is observed that transplanting on beds increased the coefficient of variation of row distance. As for the transplantation depth in conventional tillage, transplantation depth is found to be deeper than the conservative tillage. Different tillage methods effected the watermelon seedling position while this effect was not important for tomato seedlings. The minimum survival rate of seedlings was 90% for the both conventional and conservative tillage and this rate is acceptable for transplanting of vegetable seedlings. Average rate of damaged seedlings after transplanting operation was below the rate of 3% for both seedlings and all conditions. It can be suggested that conservative tillage is an alternative tillage method instead of conventional tillage for transplanting watermelon and tomato seedlings according to transplanting quality of transplanter.KEY WORDS: Transplanting machine, potted seedlings transplanting, conservative tillage, Solanum lycopersicum, Citrullus lanatus 52

Bu çalışmada, domates üretiminde uygulanan geleneksel 1 (G1), geleneksel 2 (G2), azaltılmış 1 (A1), azaltılmış 2 (A2), doğrudan dikim 1 (D1), doğrudan dikim 2 (D2) ve doğrudan dikim 3 (D3) olmak üzere yedi farklı toprak işleme yönteminin, örtü bitkili ve örtü bitkisiz koşullar altında, bazı toprak özellikleri, bitki gelişimi, verim ve hasat sonrası kalite parametreleri üzerine olan etkileri karşılaştırılmıştır. Örtü bitkisi olarak son yıllarda yaygın olarak kullanılan tüylü fiğ (Vicia Villosa) seçilmiştir. Geleneksel dikim makinasının çizi açıcı ünitesi modifiye edilerek, toprak yüzeyinde doğal bitki örtüsü ve örtü bitkisi artıklarının bulunduğu doğrudan dikim alanlarında çalışabilecek kertikli diskler tasarlanmış ve prototipleri imal edilmiştir. Ayrıca, kullanılan makinaların, fide yatağı hazırlığından hasada kadar olan sabit ve değişken giderleri ortaya konmuş ve yöntemlerin üretim giderleri ile birlikte ekonomik analizleri yapılmıştır. Çalışma, Çanakkale ili Biga ilçesinde bulunan Benzerler-Demko A.Ş.'nin üretim arazilerinde 2007 ve 2008 yıllarında yürütülmüştür.Toprak fizikel özellikleri açısından yüzeye yakın bölgelerde (0-10 cm) geleneksel toprak işleme yöntemlerinin diğer yöntemlere göre düşük hacim ağırlığı ve yüksek poroziteye sahip olduğu ancak, 20-30 cm derinlikte bu değerlerin istatistiksel anlamda farksız olduğu belirlenmiştir. Toprak nemini korumak açısından D1 ve D2 yöntemlerinin, ortalama granül çapı, toprak sıcaklığı, tarla kapasitesi, daimi solma noktası ve doygun hidrolik iletkenlik açısından ise D1Ö ve D2Ö yöntemlerinin diğer yöntemlere göre üstün oldukları saptanmıştır.Örtü bitkisi bulunmayan ve ripper uygulanan G1 ve A1 yöntemlerinde toprak organik maddesinin diğer yöntemlere göre düşük olduğu, toprak azotunun ise tüm yöntemlerde yeterli düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır. Alınabilir fosfor ve potasyum açısından, örtü bitkisi uygulamasının önerilebilir olduğu görülmüştür. D1 yönteminde özellikle örtü bitkili alanlardaki fide tutma oranlarının diğer yöntemlere düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bitki boyu, bitki sap çapı, verim ve karlılık açısından G1 ve G2 yöntemleri hem örtü bitkili hem de örtü bitkisiz koşullarda diğer yöntemlere göre daha iyi sonuçlar vermiştir. Hasat sonrası kalite parametrelerinden meyvede kuru madde (brix) ve meyve kabuk direnci parametrelerinde D1 ve D2 yöntemleri geleneksel ve azaltılmış toprak işleme yöntemlerine göre daha yüksek değerler sağlamıştır. Ancak, meyve boyu, meyve çapı, tek meyve ağırlığı açısından da geleneksel yöntemlerin üstün olduğu görülmüştür. Makina sabit ve değişken giderlerinin yanında fide yatağı hazırlığındaki yakıt tüketimi ve giderlerinin geleneksel yöntemlerde doğrudan dikim yöntemlerine oranla oldukça fazla olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ancak, verimin yüksek olmasından ötürü en karlı yöntemin G1 yöntemi olduğu saptanmıştır. Bunun yanında, toprağı korumak ve sürdürülebilir üretim açısından araştırmanın yürütüldüğü iklim ve toprak koşullarında, D2 ve D2Ö yöntemlerinin geleneksel yönteme alternatif ve uygulanabilir yöntemler olduğu belirlenmiştir.Geleneksel dikim makinalarının çizi açıcı ünitelerinin modifikasyonu tek başına doğrudan dikim yönteminin başarısını arttırmada yeterli olmamıştır. Doğrudan dikilen fidelerin yaşaması ve daha iyi gelişebilmesi için performansı yüksek ve ağırlığı arttırılmış makinaların tasarlanması gerekmektedir. In this study, the effects of seven different tillage methods, including conventional tillage 1 (G1), conventional tillage 2 (G2), reduced tillage 1 (A1), reduced tillage 2 (A2), direct transplanting 1 (D1), direct transplanting 2 (D2) and direct transplanting 3 (D3) on some soil properties, plant growth, tomato yield and some post harvest quality parameters were compared under cover cropped and no-cover cropped conditions in industrial tomato production. Hairy vetch (Vicia villosa) was selected as cover crop material because of its common use in the region. Disc coulter opener of the conventional transplanting machine was modified and new rippled discs were designed. Seedlings were easily transplanted into the soil covered by plant residues with disc coulters. In addition to this parameters, fixed and variable costs of the machines used in tillage methods were determined. Economic analyses were made with fixed costs and production costs from seedling-bed preparation to harvesting. Experimental fields were conducted in the production field of Benzerler-Demko Inc. located in Çanakkale-Biga Province of Turkey.In terms of soil physical properties, bulk density and porosity values for soil profile close to soil surface (0-10 cm) were found lower in conventional tillage methods than other tillage methods, while there was found no statistical differences among the tillage systems at 20-30 cm soil depths. For conserving the soil moisture D1 and D2 methods and for the values of mean granul diameter, soil temperature, field capacity, permanent wilding point and saturated hydrolic conductivity D1Ö and D2Ö methods were surpassed the other methods.According to the results, soil organic matter in plots of G1 and A1 in which ripper used with no cover crop were found lower comparing the other plots According to the measurements of soil nitrogen, all plots had sufficient level. It was also observed that cover crop can be suggested due to its positive effect on available soil phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). Tomato seedlings survival rates in D1 and D1Ö were found lower than the other methods. Plant height, plant steam diameter, tomato yield and net margin values were found higher in G1 and G2 than other seedling preparation methods. In terms of tomato post harvest quality parameters, D1 and D2 had more fruit shell resistance and soluble dry material percentage (brix) than reduced and conventional tillage methods. In addition to this, tomato fruits in conventional tillage methods were found larger than in reduced and direct transplanting methods. It was measured that conventional tillage methods required more fuel consumption for seedling-bed preparation and also required more fixed and variable machinery costs than other tillage methods. But, G1 was found to be the most profitable method because it?s higher tomato yield comparing other tillage methods. Beside this, D2 and D2Ö were found alternative applicable methods to the conventional tillage systems in terms of sustainability and soil conservation in the region.Modifications in the coulter disks of the conventional transplanters alone were not sufficient to improve the direct transplanting performance. Direct transplanting machines with optimum weight and better performance should be designed for a better survival seedling rate and plant growth in no-tilled areas. 226

ÖZET DOMATES ÜRETİMİNDE M AKIN A- VE EL İLE FİDE DİKİMİ VE HASAT İŞLEMLERİNİN İŞ ETÜDÜ YÖNTEMİ İLE ANALİZİ Domates çok fazla alanda kullanıldığı için, ülkemizde üretilen sebzeler içinde çok önemli yer edinmiştir. Türkiye, dünya domates üretimi ve işlenmesinde önemli paya sahiptir. Dünya domates üretimine bakıldığında Ülkemiz %7,20'îik pay ile 3. sırada yer almaktadır. Domates üretiminde 10 temel işlem 25 kez uygulanmaktadır. Bu işlemlerde beklenen yararın elde edilebilmesi için işlemler tam zamanında, üretim tekniğinin gerektirdiği biçimde ve en ekonomik şekilde yapılmalıdır. Bu ise ancak domates üretiminde mekanizasyon araçlarının kullanılması ile olanaklıdır. Bu işlemler içinde insan işgücü zamanı bakımından en büyük payı hasat işlemi alırken bunu dikim işlemi izlemektedir. Son yıllarda fide dikim makinası kullanımındaki gelişmelere rağmen, yaygın olarak elle dikim yöntemi uygulamaları devam etmektedir. Tarımda gelişmiş ülkelerde hasat işlemi büyük oranda makina ile yapılırken, ülkemizde ise son yıllardaki bazı gelişmelere karşın bu işlemin hemen hemen tamamının elle yapıldığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, domates üretiminde fide dikim ve hasat işlemlerinin el ve makina ile yapılması durumunda işgücü ve zaman gereksinimlerinin saptanması ve hem fide dikiminde hem de hasatta makina kullanımının insan işgücü verimliliği üzerinde etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bunun için iş etüdü yöntemlerinden zaman etüdü yöntemi kullanılmış ve elde edilen veriler değerlendirilerek sonuçlar karşılaştırılmıştır. ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF MACHINE AND HAND TRANSPLANTING AND HARVEST PRACTICES IN TOMATO PRODUCTION TROUGH WORK STUDY METHOD Tomato has an important place among the vegetable crops pruduced in our country, since it has a wide utilisation spectrum. Turkey has a notable share in world tomato production and processing. Our country is the third order in world tomato production with a share of 7,20%. 10 basic practices are appEed for 25 times in tomato production. These practices should be realised time, fit to the production technique and most economically. This is only possible if mechanisation is practices, harvest is the most time-consuming one with respect to labour requirement, and this is followed by transplanting. Despite the increase in the use of automatic transplanters in recent years, hand- transplanting is still being widely used in Turkey. Similarly, harvest is almost completely being carried out by hand in our country, despite some advances in recent years, whereas this practice is largely achieved by machines in agriculturally developed countries. In this study, it was aimed to determine the labour and machine-transplanting and harvest methods in tomato production and to disclose the effects of machine usage either for transplanting or for harvest on human labour productivity. For this purpose, the time study method- a method of work study was used and the results were compared by evaluating the data obtained. The machine was single row' carried by three point linkage system and the planter unit was driven by tractor hydraulic system. The machine consists of transplanting unit, implement frame, furrow opener, operator seed, power transmission system, seedling tray and seedling bed cover. During the field tests the cucumber seedling blocks and tomato pots were used as a material in this study. Before the tests some physique mechanical properties of seedling blocks have been determined. The field tests were done at three different tractor speed (0.72, 0.95, 1.2 km/h). As a result field efficiency and accuracy in plant spacing were obtained. Baskı tekerleklerinin oluşturduğu basınç; farklı tekerlek tiplerinde (Birinci tip, İkinci tip ve Üçüncü tip) ölçme derinliğine bağlı olarak baskı tekerleği açısı (50°, 60° ve 70°), baskı tekerlekleri arası mesafe (5 cm, 6 cm ve 7 cm) ve dikim ünitesi ağırlığına (40 kg, 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg ve 90 kg) bağlı olarak belirlenmiştir. Aynı zamanda toprak penetrasyon direnci ölçümleri de yapılmıştır. Tütün fidelerinin sıkıştırma dayanımı 3.552 N/cm2 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Baskı tekerleklerinin toprakta meydana getirdiği basıncı ölçmek için yeni bir basınç ölçer yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları 60°'lik baskı tekerlekleri açısına ve 7 cm'lik baskı tekerlekleri arası mesafeye sahip Birinci tekerlek tipinin diğer baskı tekerleği tiplerine göre, bitki kök bölgesinde daha yüksek, üst katmanlarda daha düşük basınç meydana getirdiğini göstermiştir. Tespit edilen penetrasyon direnci değerleri kök gelişimini sınırlandıran 90-150 N/cm2 değerlerinin altında kalmıştır. Araştırmada dikim ünitesi ağırlığı ile diğer parametrelere bağlı olarak maksimum basıncın tahmin edilmesinde kullanılabilecek modeller geliştirilmiştir. Ayrıca, penetrasyon direnci değerlerinden maksimum basınçların tahmin edilebileceği eşitlikler de verilmiştir. Dr. Vahit KİRİŞÇİIV In this research effects of some structural properties of pressure wheels of transplanter on the soil pressure were investigated. In addition, the physical and mechanical properties of tobacco seedlings were determinated. The pressure which caused by press wheel was measured depending on different press wheel type (1. type, 2. type and 3. type), press wheel angle (50°, 60° and 70°), distance of between press wheel (5 cm, 6 cm and 7 cm) and weight of transplanting unit (40 kg, 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg and 90 kg). And also the soil penetration resistance was measured. The compression stress of tobacco seedlings was determinated as 3.552 N/cm. A new pressure transducer was developed to measure the pressure in the soil caused by pressure wheels. The investigation results shoved that 1st wheel type in pressure wheel angle and 7 cm pressure wheel distance caused higher pressure on the plant root region and lower pressure on the top layers than the others. The penetration resistance values determined were below the values of 90 and 150 N/cm2 which limit the the growth of root. In this research, models which can be used with the aim of estimation of maximum pressure values according to the weights of planting unit and the other parameters were developed. Besides, equations by which maximum pressure values can be estimated from penetration resistance values were given. ÖZET Tütün insanlar tarafından günümüze kadar çok çeşitli amaçlar için kullanılmıştır. Başlangıçta şifa bitkisi olarak kullanılan tütün günümüzde insan sağlığına vermiş olduğu zararları bilinmesine rağmen ülkelerin ekonomileri için vazgeçilmez bir gelir kaynağı haline gelmiş ve dünyanın sayılı tarım ürünleri arasına girmeyi başarmıştır. Bugün Türkiye sigara üretimi yüksek olduğu kadar tüketimi de yüksek olan ülkeler arasındadır. Ayrıca tütün endüstri ürünü olarak, Ülkemiz ihracatında önemli yer tutmaktadır. Tütün Ülkemizde yaygın bir biçimde aile tarımı olarak üretimi yapılmaktadır. Bu durum tütünün Ülkemizin tarım koşullarına ve sosyal yapısına uygun düşen bir ürün türü olduğunu göstermektedir. Tütünün ülke bazında dikim yöntemlerine göre sıraladığımızda 1. sırayı suya dikim yönteminin aldığı görülmektedir. Bunu baskı ile dikim yöntemi takip ettiği ve son yıllarda makina ile dikimin devreye girdiği gözlenmektedir. Makina ile dikimin amacı bilindiği gibi zirai alanlarda bir işi yapmak kadar o işi zamanında ve işin özelliğine göre yapılması da önemlidir. Bu önemin yanı sıra artık insan iş gücüne dayalı olarak üretim maliyetlerinin de yükselmesi göz önüne alınır ise diğer alanlarda olduğu gibi tütünde de artık mekanizasyona gidilmeyi zorunlu hale getirmiştir. Bu mekanizasyon zincirinin ilk basamağı fide dikimidir.-49- Tütün yetiştiriciliğinde tütünün tohumdan tarlaya ekilerek yetiştirilmesi olayında zamanın kısıtlı oluşu ve fidelerin uygun ortamı bulup yetişemeyişi gündeme gelmektedir. Diğer fideler gibi tütün de fidelikten sökülerek tarlaya dikilmesinde bu zaman kısıtının göz önünde tutulması artık kaçınılmaz olmuştur. Bundan dolayı çiftçinin dikeceği fide miktarını artırma ve kısa sürede dikim işini gerçekleştirmek için elle dikimden ise makina ile dikimi gündeme getirmektedir. Bu amaçla Bursa bölgesi için tütünde makina kullanımı araştırılmış ve gerekli olan dikimdeki iş verimleri ve fide tutma yüzdeleri bulunarak Bursa-18000 tütün çeşidinin makina ile dikime uygunluğu araştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Bursa bölgesinde tütün fidesinin makina ile dikiminin güçlüklere rağmen mümkün olduğu tesbit edilmiştir. Fakat aile tipi bir çiftçiliğin oluşu, tütünde çalışmanın fazla iş gücü isteyişi ve tütün tarımının tüm yıla dağılması götermektedir ki sadece Bursa bölgesinde olduğu gibi Türkiye'de de tütün yetiştiriciliği olarak sadece dikim değil tüm işlemlerin düşünülmesidir. Fideliğe dikiminden hasadına ve hatta Tekel îdare'sine satışına kadar geçen işlemlerde mekanizasyona gidilmesi gereği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Çünkü tütün dikimini kalabalık olan çiftçi ailesi yapmaktadır. Fide dikim devresinde de bu işgücü kullanıldığından makina ile dikim benimsenmemektedir. günümüzde ise aile tipi küçüldüğü için çiftçiler tütün dikiminden vazgeçmekte veya az miktarda dikebilmektedir. -50- SUMMARY Tobacco always has kept itself important role during all eras of history. At first, they refer this crop medicine purpose that restorates to health, but nowadays, in spite of it's hazardous for health, tobacco is still a backboon crop for economies of many countries. Today, Turkey is a notable country in the world regarding the production volume of tobacco. In our country, tobacco raising is a culture which takes place in small farms. In this case, this version has dropped in convenient way for small farming condition either by stand of point of economical and sociological made of the country. Generally, whwn we want to make an order of planting metods that took place in country, we have seen that first metod is to plant in the water. Second metod is the press planting type. The mechanical transplanting way has been third metod recently. Mechanization, as general sence, is a mean with which the agricultural activeties might be conducted in the due time and the right manner what has been forwarded to main aim. In the other hand, as the expenses of handfull is increased, men feels to replace mechanical devices to handfull operation. From spedling to transplanting, even harvest, all treatment must be accomplished by mechanization. Other wise, small farmers would escape and given up the raising of tobacco production sooner and later. 54
