Translators face numerous challenges for doing their work, not only linguistic but also multimedia-related challenges. For this reason, translation undergraduate students must develop their documentary competence with a digital portfolio. The aim of this research is to demonstrate the effect of using a digital portfolio for developing documentary competence in the translation students from a private university in Lima. This research is quantitative and has a quasi-experimental design. It has been applied to a course of direct translation for two semesters. The sample was 32 students, 16 of them for control group and 16 for experimental group. A test was given before and after using the digital portfolio, so that documentary competence can be measured in its three dimensions: thematic field, terminology and textual genres. Findings suggest that the digital portfolio is effective for developing documentary competence in the experimental translation group. The use of a virtual platform allows students to develop documentary or instrumental competence and to familiarize themselves with the use of different multimedia resources as repository. [El traductor se enfrenta a muchos desafíos, tanto en el nivel lingüístico como en el nivel de empleo de recursos multimedia para su labor de traducción. Por ello, es necesario que en pregrado se desarrolle la competencia documental de los futuros traductores con el empleo del portafolio digital. El objetivo de esta investigación es demostrar el efecto del empleo pedagógico de un portafolio digital en el desarrollo de la competencia documental en estudiantes de traducción de una universidad privada de Lima. La investigación fue de enfoque cuantitativo, y diseño cuasiexperimental realizado durante el desarrollo de un curso de traducción directa por dos semestres. La muestra estuvo conformada por 32 estudiantes: 16 para el grupo de control y experimental. Se aplicó un test antes y después de la inducción del portafolio digital con la finalidad de medir la competencia documental con sus tres dimensiones: campo temático, terminológico y géneros textuales. Se concluye que el portafolio digital es efectivo para el desarrollo de la competencia documental en estudiantes de traducción del grupo experimental. El uso de una plataforma virtual permite desarrollar competencias documentales o instrumentales en el estudiante, así como también habituarlo para su uso como repositorio de diferentes recursos multimedia].

The article gives an analytic review of classical works on the poem by M.Yu. Lermontov «Kogda volnuetsya zhelteyushchaya niva … » . The article attracts attention to some new linguistic facts, the analysis of which allows a deeper inter- pretation of the poem. By comparing different viewpoints, the author reveals the implicit meanings of the poetic text and focuses on the grammatical structure of the poem by M.Yu. Lermontov.

The article presents the results of dialectological and ethnographic research of an educational project concerning the holidays, beliefs and superstitions in the region of Gniezno. Objectives of the project and the problems associated with fieldwork were discussed. Thanks to the joint research of dialectologists and students, we managed to obtain a material that would enable the description of changes in the thematic, among others, magic and folk demonology. Analysis of selected examples is presented in the article.

Bringing up to date the issue of mass media typology, the authors of the article research such line of modern journalism as gastronomic journalism. As far as this topic has not been studied well enough yet, journalistic periodicals (social and political, business, geographical, gastronomic magazines, tabloids for men and women), television programs (“Rare People” at the channel “My Planet”, “Russia, My Love!” at the channel ‘Russia-Culture”, the content of breakfast broadcasting of “the First Channel”) and the multimedia project of the Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union “This is Caucasus” (section “A Good Taste”) are analyzed. The objective of the article is to determine the subject thematic range of gastronomic journalism, by studying the gastronomic content of mass media, and also to consider the functions of gastronomic journalism in the context of Media representations of peoples’ ethnic culture, namely of the indigenous minorities of Russia and of the North Caucasus peoples. In the course of the analysis, the features of the gastronomic topic in the representation context of the Russia peoples’ ethnic culture are revealed, the role of gastronomic journalism in terms of implementation of the strategy objectives of the Russian Federation State National Policy for the period up to 2025 as far as spreading knowledge about the peoples’ history and culture is concerned. To determine the effective resources of gastronomic journalism such methods and approaches as system, semiotic, cultural, typological and content analysis are used. A definition of gastronomic journalism, which determines the direction of studies of mass media and media in general, is given in this article. The authors come to the conclusion that not only recreational, advertising and informative but also cultural and educational functions of journalism are implemented through the gastronomic topic. Moreover, the importance of studying gastronomic journalism for education of journalism students and future caterers is considered in the article. A topical issue of gastronomic journalism development in Russian regions is emphasized.

The article presents an analysis of studies of various aspects of the history of the Russian cooperative movement in the late XIX - early XX centuries, performed by domestic historians in the 2000s. For this period, according to incomplete data, more than 500 works have been published that reveal at the national and regional levels the reasons for the emergence of various types of cooperative organizations, the stages of development and institutional formation of the cooperative movement, its role in the economic, socio-political and socio-cultural development of the country. Based on the study of scientific publications of various genres, which generally allow to determine the problematic thematic field of research, it makes conclusions about the key approaches and directions of modern work on the history of Russian cooperation, identifies the factors that determined the regional specifics of the cooperative movement in pre-revolutionary Russia that is economic, social, ethnic. A review of publications, including those made on regional documentary material, shows that the historiographic interpretation of the historical experience of Russian cooperation through the prism of its regional specificity allows not only to create a more complete picture of the development of cooperation during its highest rise, but also to identify promising research topics that are relevant for historical science and of practical significance for the stable development of modern Russia.

En Casamance, la multiplication des accidents de mines antipersonnel et antichars dans le contexte du conflit arme a entraine, chez les victimes, un etat de vulnerabilite qui s’est exprime a travers un affect traumatique. Cette situation a favorise la mobilisation d’une dynamique d’assistance au centre de laquelle on trouve l’Association Senegalaise des Victimes de Mines (ASVM). C’est donc le role de cette organisation dans la resilience des victimes de mines que cet article se propose d’analyser a travers une methodologie exclusivement qualitative. Ainsi, grâce a la conduite d’entretiens realises avec vingt-sept (27) victimes de mines, deux responsables de l’ASVM et trois responsables au niveau des structures impliquees dans l’assistance aux victimes de mines, l’etude demontre que le recours a la solidarite associative a contribue a l’expression d’un soutien par les pairs. Ce soutien s’est avere decisif dans la resilience des victimes de mines. Cet article qui se situe a la croisee de la sociologie des organisations et de la psychologie sociale, renouvelle notamment la pensee sur les dynamiques de solidarite associative. Ce faisant, il s’inscrit dans le champ thematique de la sociologie des organisations tout en contribuant a diversifier la reflexion sur le handicap. In Casamance, the multiplication of landmine and anti-tank accidents in the context of the armed conflict has led to a state of vulnerability among the victims, which has been expressed through traumatic affect. This situation has led to the mobilization of a dynamic of assistance at the center of which is the Senegalese association of landmine victims (ASVM). It is therefore the role of this organization in the resilience of landmine victims that this article proposes to analyze through an exclusively qualitative methodology. Through interviews with twenty seven (27) landmine victims, two ASVM leaders, and three leaders of structures involved in assisting landmine victims, the study demonstrates that the use of associative solidarity has contributed to the expression of peer support. This support has proven to be decisive in the resilience of landmine victims. This article, which is at the crossroads of organizational sociology and social psychology, renews thinking on the dynamics of associative solidarity. In doing so, it is part of the thematic field of organizational sociology while contributing to the diversification of thinking on disability.

Background : Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in dentistry provide essential evidence for dentists to practice evidence-based dentistry. This study aimed to analyze the scientific impacts of the RCTs conducted among children and adolescents published in dental journals and summarize the main contents of these studies. Methods : An electronic literature search was conducted in the database Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection by two independent reviewers in June 2020, without an initial time limit. Articles reporting on RCTs conducted among children and adolescents in dental fields were identified. The most cited articles (the top 100 articles based on total citation counts and citation density) were selected. The bibliometric data were exported from the database WoS for further analysis. The citation counts were cross-checked in Google Scholar. In addition, the main content of the included RCTs was extracted and summarized. Results : A total of 132 papers published in 28 journals reporting on RCTs in dentistry on children and adolescents were included in this study. The mean total citation count (within WoS) of the included RCTs was 60.0, ranging from 17 to 300, and the mean citation density value was 4.6, ranging from 1.3 to 15.0. The majority of the articles were in the thematic field of cariology (n=79, 59.8%). Other thematic fields, orthodontology (20.5%), endodontology (5.3%), behaviour science and quality of life (5.3%), oral and maxillofacial surgery (3.8%), oral hygiene (3.8%) and periodontology (1.5%) were involved as well. Around one-fifth of the articles (n=23) were produced by the United States, and the included articles were most cited by the publications (n=1937) from the United States as well. Conclusions : A wide range of dental topics were covered in the included RCTs conducted among children and adolescents. These top-cited RCTs mainly focus on the thematic field of cariology. The United States is an influential country with a large number of publication outputs and citations.

The article considers the concept of «psychological culture»; the structure of psychological culture, which includes a cognitive component that determines a person’s perception of himself, other people, psychological patterns of behaviour and activity; emotional-evaluative component, including the relationship of a person to himself and attitude to the world; the process-activity (technological) component that determines how a person interacts with the environment and himself; the value-semantic component that determines the significance of the actions performed, the selected methods of behaviour and activity and communicative component that determines the possibility of interpersonal human interaction; the stages of the formation of psychological culture and the methods of development of the psychological culture of future specialists in the educational space of the university are specified. The article describes the results of a study of student participation in the work of the psychological club on the development of the communicative component of the psychological culture of future specialists in the educational space of the university. The students of the experimental group participated in a program for the development of psychological culture in the form of a psychological club. The selection of the content of the club work was carried out according to the components of psychological culture: cognitive, process-activity, emotional-evaluative, value-semantic and communicative components. The forms of work of the psychological club included themed club hours; thematic events (evening of poetry and music, meetings with interesting people), thematic meetings, thematic field classes (nature, museum); psychological training and workshops.

Introduction This study aimed to identify and analyze the 100 most-cited articles published in orthodontic scientific journals in the past 21 years. Methods The research was conducted in the Thomson Reuters Web of Science data citation index, considering articles from 2000 to 2020 and the category of dentistry, oral surgery, and medicine. Information about the number of citations, citations per year, title, authors, year of publication, the title of scientific journals, type of study, keywords, and thematic field were extracted for each article. Descriptive statistical analyses were performed to evaluate the collected data. The Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between publication and the number of citations received. The VOSviewer software (Leiden University Center for Science and Technology Studies, Leiden, the Netherlands) was used to generate the keyword cooccurrence network. Results The number of citations of the 100 selected articles ranged from 122 to 547. The journal with the largest number of cited articles was the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Most of the papers were cross-sectional and longitudinal studies, and the most frequent thematic fields among the selected articles were anchorage, root resorption, and rapid maxillary expansion. Orthodontic treatment, anchorage, and root resorption were the most frequent keywords. Conclusions Bibliometric analysis of citations revealed a greater centralization of orthodontic studies. Most of the articles were published in a single journal and by one country. Anchorage is a trending topic in orthodontics, and cross-sectional and longitudinal studies are the most-cited types of papers.

The study of wildlife-livestock interfaces has long suffered from the sealing among the different agricultural—including veterinary—and environmental sectors and the lack of multidisciplinary approaches. Following the SARS-CoV-1, SARS-CoV-2, and H5N1 crisis, bridges have been developed between sectors and different disciplines, especially between the fields of epidemiology and ecology and, more recently, molecular biology and social sciences. Today wildlife-livestock interfaces benefit from an increased attention by biologists and epidemiologists who have developed dedicated approaches for their characterization. These approaches combine behavioural studies on both domestic and wild species; major technological advances in molecular techniques; and the use of social sciences to capture local knowledge on agricultural practices and wildlife behaviour. In this chapter, we further define wildlife-livestock interfaces and review the different approaches that have been developed to characterise them in terms of frequency and intensity of contacts between hosts. Then we provide case studies in the context of disease ecology illustrating how the characterisation of the wildlife-livestock interface can feed disease ecology studies and guide surveillance and control of infectious diseases. Finally, we argue for a dedicated field focusing on wildlife-livestock interfaces that have particular characteristics and implications in disease ecology.
