X-ray self-heating is a common by-product of X-ray Free Electron Laser (XFEL) techniques that can affect targets, optics, and other irradiated materials. Diagnosis of heating and induced changes in samples may be performed using the x-ray beam itself as a probe. However, the relationship between conditions created by and inferred from x-ray irradiation is unclear and may be highly dependent on the material system under consideration. Here, we report on a simple case study of a titanium foil irradiated, heated, and probed by a MHz XFEL pulse train at 18.1 keV delivered by the European XFEL using measured x-ray diffraction to determine temperature and finite element analysis to interpret the experimental data. We find a complex relationship between apparent temperatures and sample temperature distributions that must be accounted for to adequately interpret the data, including beam averaging effects, multivalued temperatures due to sample phase transitions, and jumps and gaps in the observable temperature near phase transformations. The results have implications for studies employing x-ray probing of systems with large temperature gradients, particularly where these gradients are produced by the beam itself. Finally, this study shows the potential complexity of studying nonlinear sample behavior, such as phase transformations, where biasing effects of temperature gradients can become paramount, precluding clear observation of true transformation conditions. One of the main methods for obtaining information about the generation of sound pulses in metals is to measure the reflection coefficient of a probe wave. Various theoretical models are used to interpret the results of measuring the contribution to reflection coefficient Δ R (t) due to sound-generated displacements of lattice atoms. The purpose of this paper is to establish the degree of accuracy of models used in the case of sound generation in thin films exposed to a femtosecond pulse. It is shown below that the assumption of uniform heating used for thin films is justified if the film thickness is less than the film heating depth and for thicker films at times greater than the film heating time over the entire thickness. For optically thick films, a relatively simple expression for the field can be used. If the film thickness is less than the skin layer depth of the pump field, then it is necessary to consider the field reflection from a substrate. In this case, depending on the optical properties of the metal and the substrate, taking into account reflection can lead to either an increase or a decrease in Δ R (t). It has been established that if the skin layer at the frequency of probe radiation is less than the film heating depth, then taking into account temperature gradients in the equation for the displacement of lattice atoms leads to small changes in Δ R (t). Purpose: To measure the surface temperature distribution after using a CO2 laser to heat titanium dental implants via different power settings, application intervals, and irradiation times. Materials and Methods: A total of 10 tissue-level titanium implants (Screw-Line Promote Plus, Camlog; 4.3 × 11 mm) were placed (EpoFix, Struers) and irradiated with a CO2 laser (Denta 2, Lutronic) with a wavelength of 10.6 µm at power levels of 4 watts (Group 1), 6 watts (Group 2), 8 watts (Group 3), and 10 watts (Group 4). A continuous beam mode (setting I) and noncontinuous beam modes with 5-second (setting II) and 10-second (setting III) pause intervals were used. For each setting, a total irradiation time of 50 seconds was used and repeated 10 times. The temperature was measured using external thermocouple (Testo) in contact with the implant surface at the implant shoulder, middle, and apex. A linear regression model was used to analyze the data (P = .05). Results: Setting I demonstrated the most rapid increase in implant surface temperature in all three test sites as well as the greatest total temperature at 50 seconds of irradiation time. The greater the pause interval (settings II and III) during the 50 seconds of irradiation, the lower the rate of temperature increase as well as the total temperature in all three test sites and with all power levels. The average temperature difference between the apex and shoulder site was significant for setting III for all groups, but not for any groups in settings I and II. Conclusions: Heating the internal aspect of an implant with a CO2 laser produces different temperature distribution profiles depending on the laser power level and the application interval. Magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of L a 0.85 S r 0.15 M n 0.99 F e 0.01 O 3 perovskite oxides are investigated in the framework of the mean-field theory with a goal to develop a comprehensive model with parameters that can be used to optimize the caloric performances for cooling applications. Using the experimental magnetic isotherms M(H,T), we estimate and compare the exchange parameter (λ) , the saturation magnetization (M 0) , the total angular momentum (J) , and the gyromagnetic factor (g) for two different samples annealed at 1170 and 1250 °C. These parameters are used, in turn, in the simulation of the magnetic and the magnetocaloric properties of these L a 0.85 S r 0.15 M n 0.99 F e 0.01 O 3 compounds assuming imperfect samples with compositional and/or magnetic inhomogeneities. For this purpose, a Gaussian distribution of the Curie temperature is assumed. The temperature dependence of the magnetic entropy change, − Δ S M (T) , resulting from an applied field variation is simulated for both samples. The selected distribution captures the rounding of the − Δ S M (T) peak at its maximum and its broadening with growth conditions, features that are constantly observed in many bulk polycrystalline compounds. Numerical methods for analyzing diffusion phenomena involving strong discontinuities and complicated interfaces are of great scientific and technical importance. In this paper, we extend the existing step-balanced random walk, which overcomes the problem of detailed balance of a random walker in three-dimensional (3D), diffusion-tensor discontinuous systems, to particle density (ρ) discontinuous systems, and introduce volumetric heat capacity C and temperature T by considering ρ as heat density, i.e., ρ = C T , to apply it to thermal problems. Two types of thermophysical simulations are demonstrated: one is steady-state heat flow due to a temperature difference at the end surfaces on a two-phase slab model unit cell with periodic boundary conditions; the other is the time variation of temperature distribution due to heat diffusion from a point heat source in a repeated two-phase slab model with no periodic boundary conditions. We see the correct behavior of heat and temperature expected in 3D discontinuous systems composed of two phases with anisotropic thermal conductivity. We report the development of a novel variant of cavity ringdown polarimetry using a continuous-wave laser operating at 532 nm for highly precise chiroptical activity and magnetometry measurements. The key methodology of the apparatus relies upon the external modulation of the laser frequency at the frequency splitting between non-degenerate left- and right-circularly polarized cavity modes. The method is demonstrated by the evaluation of the Verdet constants of crystalline CeF3 and fused silica, in addition to the observation of gas- and solution-phase optical rotations of selected chiral molecules. Specifically, optical rotations of (i) vapors of α-pinene and R-(+)-limonene, (ii) mutarotating D-glucose in water, and (iii) acidified L-histidine solutions are determined. The detection sensitivities for the gas- and solution-phase chiral activity measurements are ∼ 30 and ∼ 120 μdeg over a 30 s detection period per cavity round trip pass, respectively. Furthermore, the measured optical rotations for R-(+)-limonene are compared with computations performed using the TURBOMOLE quantum chemistry package. The experimentally observed optically rotatory dispersion of this cyclic monoterpene was thus rationalized via a consideration of its room temperature conformer distribution as determined by the aforementioned single-point energy calculations. Molecular dynamics simulations have been widely used in exploring the nucleation behavior of many systems, including gas hydrates. Gas hydrates are ice-like solids in which gas molecules are trapped in water cages. During hydrate formation, a considerable amount of heat is released, and previous work has reported that the choice of temperature control scheme may affect the behavior of hydrate formation. The origins of this effect have remained an open question. To address this question, extensive NVE simulations and thermostatted (NPT and NVT) simulations with different temperature coupling strengths have been performed and compared for systems where a water nanodroplet is immersed in a H2S liquid. Detailed analysis of the hydrate structures and their mechanisms of formation has been carried out. Slower nucleation rates in NVE simulations in comparison to NPT simulations have been observed in agreement with previous studies. Probability distributions for various temperature measures along with their spatial distributions have been examined. Interestingly, a comparison of these temperature distributions reveals a small yet noticeable difference in the widths of the distributions for water. The somewhat reduced fluctuations in the temperature for the water species in the NVE simulations appear to be responsible for reducing the hydrate nucleation rate. We further conjecture that the NVE-impeded nucleation rate may be the result of the finite size of the surroundings (here the liquid H2S portion of the system). In water-guided laser technology, the stability of water jets is crucial to ensure the efficient transmission of laser energy. However, the thermal effects generated when high-power lasers are coupled with water jets are bound to impact the stability of the water jets, thus becoming a critical issue that restricts the development of high-power water-guided laser technology. In addressing this issue, this paper establishes a temperature model for coupling high-power lasers with water jets. Subsequently, with validation of the model's effectiveness through experimental data, simulations are conducted to analyze the temperature distribution within the water jet. During the simulation process, lasers with different parameters were coupled with water jets to analyze the temperature variation law of the water jets. Additionally, the maximum laser power coupled with water jets of different lengths was solved. Based on the calculated temperature values of the water jet, simulate the evolution of its profile over time when it has an initial temperature gradient. Simultaneously, perform a three-dimensional reconstruction of the obtained perturbed profile and conduct ray tracing to analyze the laser's transmission losses within the perturbed profile. Finally, high-speed cameras are utilized to capture the profile of the water jet, validating the laser-induced fragmentation behavior in the water jet. The article focuses on the issue of efficiently recovering waste heat from low-exergy process gases, which poses a significant challenge for improving energy efficiency in many industrial sectors. To address this problem, the application of a thermoelectric generator (TEG) has been proposed, allowing for the direct conversion of thermal energy into electrical energy. In the course of the research, experimental measurements were conducted for process gases at temperatures of 240 °C and 300 °C, along with CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulations using Ansys Fluent 2023 R2 software. These simulations enabled the analysis of the temperature distribution in the TEG and the determination of the safe operating range of the device for process gas temperatures of 350 °C, 400 °C and 450 °C. The results obtained from both experiments and simulations demonstrated the effectiveness of the TEG in recovering waste heat from low-exergy gases. Additionally, these findings suggest the potential for scaling the solution to larger industrial systems, making TEG a promising technology for long-term sustainable development efforts. The developed numerical model proved to be a valuable tool in the design of TEG systems, allowing for the analysis and optimization of heat recovery systems. The energy-intensive nature of hydrogen liquefaction underscores the critical need for efficiency improvements. This study presents an approach to enhance the design and performance of hydrogen heat exchangers by optimizing the cold-to-hot fluid mass flowrate ratios across various temperature ranges, leading to substantial improvements in the Continuous Conversion Proximity Index (CCPI). A dynamic simulation model is developed to explore the complex interactions between temperature distribution, mass flowrate ratio, inlet conversion rate, and the heat transfer and catalytic efficiency in cryogenic hydrogen heat exchangers. Optimal cold-to-hot fluid mass flowrate ratios, ranging from 3.31 to 8.44 across the 80-33 K temperature range, are identified. In particular, a 23.0% improvement in CCPI is observed in the 40-33 K range, significantly optimizing the continuous catalytic conversion process. The results show that inlet conversion rates between 96% and 94% ensure effective heat transfer and high ortho-para hydrogen conversion efficiency, whereas rates below 94% lead to rapid conversion but insufficient cooling. These findings provide a theoretical foundation for the design of highly efficient hydrogen heat exchangers and demonstrate that optimizing the mass flowrate ratio can enhance the process within the exchanger, bringing it closer to an ideal continuous conversion form. Solar-driven CO 2 hydrogenation reactions are an attractive approach for the production of chemicals in the CO 2 utilization. We emphasize the importance of reliable temperature measurements for assessing catalyst performance and report the effect of uneven temperature distribution on the product selectivity of the CO 2 hydrogenation reaction of Ru/TiO 2 catalysts, as well as the CO 2 hydrogenation reaction of Ru/TiO 2 catalysts in dark and under UV, visible IR, and full-spectrum light conditions. Full-spectrum utilization exhibits higher activity at the same temperature. In situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations clarify the reaction pathway of CO 2 hydrogenation to methane, revealing that UV and visible infrared light promote the adsorption and activation processes at different stages along the chemical reaction pathway, respectively. Mercury's low obliquity and 3:2 spin‐orbit resonance create a surface temperature distribution with large latitudinal and longitudinal variations. These propagate via thermal conduction through the thin silicate shell influencing the interior temperature distribution. We use 3‐D thermal evolution models to investigate the effects of lateral variations of surface temperature and crustal thickness on the surface and core‐mantle boundary (CMB) heat fluxes, and elastic thickness distribution. Surface temperature variations cause a long‐wavelength perturbation of the heat fluxes, as well as of the elastic lithosphere thickness, while variations in crustal thickness affect these quantities at small spatial scales. Like the surface temperature, the present‐day CMB heat flux pattern is characterized primarily by spherical harmonics of degrees two and four, which could affect dynamo generation. Placing robust constraints on the thermal evolution based on the available estimates of the age and thickness of the elastic lithosphere remains challenging due to their large uncertainties. Plain Language Summary: The orbit of Mercury around the Sun leads to a specific surface temperature distribution, with some regions receiving more insolation than others. The thickness of Mercury's crust has been derived using gravity and topography data acquired by the MESSENGER mission. Since the rocky mantle of Mercury is rather thin (≈ ${\approx} $400 km), temperature variations driven by the insolation and by crustal properties (i.e., crustal heat sources and thermal conductivity) can affect the entire mantle, down to the core‐mantle boundary. Here we model the global thermal evolution of Mercury, and investigate the influence of surface temperature and crustal thickness variations on the history and present‐day state of the interior. We find that the surface temperature variations are reflected in the variations of Mercury's surface and core‐mantle boundary heat fluxes, as well as in the thickness of the elastic part of its lithosphere. Crustal thickness variations lead to more local temperature differences, thus resulting in smaller scale variations in the lithosphere thickness and heat fluxes. The heat flux pattern at the core mantle boundary induced by the surface temperature distribution could affect magnetic field generation and should be tested by future dynamo models. The crack fault of gear is usually accompanied by temperature rise. Therefore, to master the temperature characteristics of the cracked gear of the wind turbine gearbox, a temperature rise calculation model of wind turbine gearbox gear considering crack fault and tooth number difference is proposed. Firstly, the time‐varying meshing stiffness model of the cracked gear considering the tooth number difference is established based on the potential energy method. Secondly, the calculation method of the meshing surface normal load of the cracked gear is deduced. Thirdly, the temperature rise calculation model of the meshing surface of the cracked gear is constructed based on Blok flash temperature theory. Finally, the data of the high‐speed gear of a wind turbine gearbox in northern China is selected for simulation verification. By comparing with the finite element method, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified. The simulation results reveal the gear temperature characteristics of the wind turbine gearbox with different crack ratios. The research can provide some theoretical support for the accurate fault diagnosis and maintenance of wind turbine gearbox, and can also be applied to the fault diagnosis of gear cracks in other mechanical structures with a large transmission ratio. The pyrolysis process of waste printed circuit board (WPCB) with high economic benefit has been a black box problem, limiting the upgrading of pyrolysis processes. The resourcefulness and hazardous nature of WPCB will make it necessary for it to be treated properly. Multiphysics model was built to simulate the whole processes of WPCB pyrolysis and contaminants' release. The circuit board samples containing six components were selected for pyrolysis in a tube furnace at a rate of 10 ∘ C/min from room temperature to 600 ∘ C, and the residual rate of Br- was determined by the oxygen bomb method. The results showed that the difference in temperature distribution could be attributed to thermal conductivity and surface area. Heat distribution would be more even from the inner material in areas where holes existed. The assembly method would affect the stress distribution around the components. Thermal stress at the pins might cause the separation of components from the substrate. The concentration of brominated contaminants was influenced by the material and assembly method. The instantaneous concentration around the pin was 3–4 times compared to the bare substrate, which was beneficial for the release and control of brominated organics. This study provided the research method for the in-depth understanding of the pyrolysis process of complex materials; and provided a basis for the upgrading of related processes. The study developed a two‐dimensional nonisothermal two‐phase flow model and investigated the gas–liquid phase distribution and temperature variations in a proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolytic cell under microgravity conditions at different inlet flow rates. The impact of microgravity and terrestrial conditions on water electrolytic cells was directly compared. The results indicate that the water electrolytic cell demonstrates effective operation only when the voltage exceeds 1.7 V in a microgravity environment. Furthermore, an increase in inlet flow rate is conducive to electrochemical reactions, resulting in higher average hydrogen concentration, average hydrogen flow rate, and average current density. Under microgravity conditions, the absence of gravity results in lower average hydrogen concentration, flow rate, and current density compared to terrestrial conditions. High-strength aviation gears are notably challenging to grind, primarily due to an increased risk of grinding burn. Consequently, the precise and efficient prediction of the three-dimensional temperature distribution throughout the grinding process of aviation gears is crucial. This study focuses on aviation gear in 12Cr2Ni4A material, devising a dynamic, time-variant triangular heat source model alongside a method for calculating the three-dimensional grinding temperature field for aviation gears. By proposing an accurate loading algorithm for the boundary conditions of the moving heat source load on the spatially curved surface in the grinding area and then directly solving the heat transfer differential equation constructed in a fully discrete form based on the principle of minimum potential and the Ritz method, a high-strength aviation gear grinding temperature field prediction model has been established. The accuracy of this proposed method was confirmed through experimental temperature measurements of gear grinding and by comparing these results with those obtained from standard finite element software. The results show that the maximum relative error between prediction values and experimental data is less than 5%. Moreover, when contrasted with the simulation results of standard finite element software, the present approach exhibits superior computational efficiency and accuracy. The developed numerical method reliably forecasts the temperature distribution throughout the gear grinding process and provides a significant reference for precise and efficient temperature field calculations. The present work improves a phenomenological plasma-assisted combustion model by integrating the spatiotemporal distribution of plasma power density, thereby considering the evolution of plasma streamers in the modeling, and subsequently, better predicting the ignition kernel evolution. The improved phenomenological model is validated against experiments representing the plasma discharge and post-discharge ignition kernel evolution. Specifically, the new model demonstrates a more accurate prediction of ultrafast gas heating and O2 dissociation during the plasma discharge, compared to the original model. In addition, the new model is found to closely match the experimental pressure wave and heated channel profiles post-discharge without the need for tuning the energy deposition (unlike the original model), highlighting its accuracy of post-discharge ignition kernel dynamics. The improved phenomenological model is then employed to investigate ignition kernel evolution for a stoichiometric methane-air discharge across various discharge gap configurations. Simulations reveal a non-uniform temperature and streamer distribution progressing from the electrode tips toward the center, contrasting uniform cylindrical discharges previously described in the original model. Streamer propagation is observed to be faster for larger gaps when maintained at the same average electric field for different discharge gaps. The tendency of smaller gaps to produce detached toroidal ignition kernels is observed, while larger gaps promote cylindrical and attached ignition kernels. Interactions between successive ignition kernels from consecutive discharges varied significantly, with the smallest gap (1 mm) promoting the quenching of the preceding ignition kernel due to the initial kernel–kernel separation. The intermediate gap (2 mm) promotes detached kernel growth. In contrast, in the largest gap (4 mm), kernels consistently combine and expand attached to electrodes. The impact of homogeneous isotropic turbulence is also explored, showing the persistence of ignition kernels early on but eventually quenching due to enhanced radical and heat losses with pronounced turbulence intensity. Highlights The mechanical and frictional properties of pure perfluoroelastomer, graphene (GN)/perfluoroelastomer, and carbon nanotube (CNT)/perfluoroelastomer composite systems were investigated using molecular dynamics simulations. The influence of carbon nanomaterials on the glass transition temperature, mechanical properties, and frictional behavior of perfluoroelastomers at various temperatures was evaluated. The simulation results demonstrated that the addition of GN and CNTs increased the glass transition temperature of perfluoroelastomers to varying extents. CNTs enhanced the mechanical properties of perfluoroelastomers more effectively than GN, whereas GN provided superior improvement in frictional properties compared to CNTs. Analysis of stress–strain distribution, atomic motion trajectory, interaction energy, mass density, and temperature distribution, bond orientation parameters, radial distribution function (RDF), mean square displacement (MSD), and diffusion coefficients revealed the mechanisms and differences by which GN and CNTs enhance the mechanical and frictional properties of perfluoroelastomers. Carbon nanomaterials enhance perfluoroelastomer's high‐temperature performance. CNTs provide higher mechanical strength but lower wear resistance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of pre-heating characteristics on the mechanical properties and forming process of selective laser sintering (SLS) printed PES-HmA samples. An experimental setup with four heating tubes was designed to study the pre-heating temperature distribution on the powder bed. The pre-heating temperature distribution on the powder bed was captured using a thermal imaging camera. A method for evaluating pre-heating temperature distribution based on the average and standard deviation of surface temperature was proposed. The heating tube installation position was optimized using a response surface experiment study based on the temperature distribution evaluation. By optimizing the installation position of the tubes, the temperature distribution on the powder bed tends to become uniform. The effect of pre-heating temperature value and distribution on the mechanical properties of the SLS printed PES-HmA samples was also experimentally investigated. The cross sectional microstructure of the printed samples were examined by scanning electron microscope to analyze the layer formation process at different pre-heating temperature. By increasing the pre-heating temperature from 70°C to 100°C, the material diffusion at the layers interface was improved, which made the tensile strength of sample increased by 376%, and the flexural strength increased by 224%. In practice, industrial exhaust emissions as well as emissions from automobiles, ships, biomass combustion, etc., can be potential application areas for thermoelectric generation (TEG). However, the structural design of heat exchange equipment is usually limited by the internal flow field, resulting in uneven temperature distribution on the heat exchange equipment's surface. The resulting mismatch power loss is a major challenge for thermoelectric power generation. In this study, based on the characteristics of the surface temperature distribution of heat exchange equipment in the context of gas emissions, a static reconfiguration scheme is proposed for reconfiguring honeycomb (HC) arrays using the symmetric interval crossing (SIC) method. Based on a fixed interconnect array configuration, the solution requires only a change in the location of the modules and no change in the electrical connections, thus reducing mismatch losses while lowering manufacturing costs. Test experiments are conducted for 6 × 6 TEG arrays, mismatch losses are evaluated for four nonuniform temperature distribution cases, and the performance of seven different TEG array configurations is compared. The findings demonstrate that, in nonuniform temperature distribution scenarios, the SIC method can effectively reduce mismatch losses and has a greater output power than alternative array configurations. This research addresses the complex dynamics of hybrid Casson nanoliquids in flow and heat transfer applications, focusing on the interaction between fluid dynamics and thermal phenomena in the presence of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), viscous dissipation, and Joule heating. The motivation behind this study stems from the need to enhance the efficiency of heat transfer processes in various engineering applications, such as cooling systems and electronic devices, where hybrid nanofluids can offer superior thermal performance compared to conventional fluids. ABSTRACT This study investigates the stress–strain behavior of AISI H13 hot work die steel under thermomechanical fatigue (TMF) conditions. An electromagnetic‐thermal‐mechanical coupled finite element model was established to analyze the temperature and stress evolution during TMF cycles. Experimental results reveal that as TMF cycles increase, the hysteresis loop areas expand, and maximum tensile and compressive stress values decrease, indicating cyclic softening of AISI H13 steel. After undergoing TMF, observations show martensitic lath recovery and carbide coarsening along boundaries. Numerical results indicate thermal cycles cause temperature field inhomogeneity along the axial direction, which leads to a non‐uniform distribution of internal stresses along the longitudinal axis. Besides, the TMF lifetime under numerical simulation is comparable to that obtained through experiments. Existing research has found that the number, insertion depth and angle, filling rate, and working fluid of heat pipe (HP) can affect the distribution of temperature field inside coal gangue dumps. However, there is relatively little research on the optimal arrangement of heat pipes (HPs) in coal gangue dumps. In response to the above issues, based on the theoretical model of HP heat transfer, the influence of HPs layout on the temperature field of coal gangue dumps is analyzed through a combination of numerical simulation and experiments, and the optimal layout of HPs is obtained. The results show that the presence of HPs can change the heat conduction path in a coal gangue dump and help the coal gangue dumps to dissipate heat in time. As the insertion spacing of the HPs decreases and the insertion depth of the HPs increases, the area of the spontaneous combustion danger zone (SCDZ) decreases, the maximum temperature value (Tmax) decreases, and the better the cooling effect. The influence of the insertion spacing of HPs on the spontaneous combustion volume of coal gangue dumps is greater than the influence of the insertion depth of HPs. When the insertion spacing of HPs is 3 m and the insertion depth of HPs is 7 m, the spontaneous combustion volume and the highest temperature point respectively decrease by 11755m3 and 302.57 ℃, and the cooling effect of coal gangue dumps is the best. Microwave ablation (MWA) is based on the energy absorbed by biological tissue through microwave emission, which raises the temperature of the tumor to perform the treatment. MWA has the advantage of causing minimal bleeding and treating deep tumors. In this study, MWA for various slot design situations in a microwave coaxial antenna (MCA) was simulated through numerical analysis. For the slot design, the number of slots and the distance between slots were determined by the analysis parameters. A tumor developed inside the liver tissue was implemented, and the temperature distribution of the tumor and surrounding liver tissue was calculated for all cases selected for numerical analysis. The Helmholtz electromagnetic equation was used to calculate the electromagnetic field inside the tissue, and the modified Pennes bioheat equation was used to calculate the temperature change in the tissue due to the emitted microwave. Treatment effects were quantitatively analyzed for each slot design condition through an apoptotic variable based on the calculated temperature distribution. Lastly, conditions that produce optimal treatment effects were derived depending on the number of slots. The analysis showed that as the distance between the slots increased from 0.5 to 3.5 mm, the optimal treatment effect was obtained when the number of slots was 4, 3, 3, and 2, respectively, and the microwave input power at that time was 3.0, 2.8, 2.6, and 3.0 W, respectively. In this work, a steady-state, three-dimensional and non-isothermal numerical model for a proton exchange membrane electrolysis cell (PEMEC) is established. Based on this model, the distribution of catalyst loading is specifically designed according to the flow characteristics of both parallel and serpentine channels. In general, the catalyst loading is progressively reduced from inlet to outlet along the flow direction to match the local water content, leading to an innovative segmented catalyst layer which has not been studied yet for PEMEC applications. The electrochemical behavior of different segmentation schemes is investigated by comparing their polarization curves normalized by either electrode area or catalyst loading, while other physical fields such as velocity, pressure, water mole fraction and temperature distributions are also characterized. The numerical results reveal that a reasonable distribution of catalyst can reduce its amount of usage while still maintaining most of the PEMEC performance. In other words, the cost performance is significantly improved. This is mainly attributed to the full use of uneven water distribution in the flow channel, which improves the catalyst utilization efficiency significantly. The efficacy of vaccine storage is significantly impacted by temperature fluctuations within the cooler, often exacerbated by using phase change materials in existing cooler designs for remote areas. These materials can undergo uneven melting and phase separation, leading to temperature instability and vaccine potency loss. In response to this challenge, the present study introduces a novel design of a portable, locally‐made solar‐powered cooler optimized for longer storage periods. The cooler's performance in terms of temperature distribution, airflow dynamics, and the coefficient of performance (COP) is meticulously examined through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. The simulated results were validated using experimental data from the open literature, ensuring accuracy and reliability. The findings indicate that the developed cooler achieves significant improvements over traditional models. For instance, the current model reaches a temperature of +12°C in just 84 min, compared to 208 min, as reported in the literature results. Moreover, the current model reaches a temperature of −12°C in 195 min and it has energy efficient with a COP of 4.5. Statistical analysis further confirms the reliability of the simulation results, with root mean square and mean absolute percentage errors of 6.587 and 24.2%, respectively. Additionally, a comparative study of five insulative materials highlights polyurethane (Po) as the top performer, with a heat transfer performance of 14.3%, followed by feather fiber (Fe) (18.7%), fly ash (Fl) (19.8%), fiberglass (Fi) (21.9%), and coconut fiber (Co) (25.9%). Notably, net present value (NPV) of $689.336 and $448.01 was obtained for economic analysis of the current model over the existing model, showing the feasibility of the study. Hence, the cooler's effectiveness in storing vaccines in isolated regions exceeds that of conventional models, providing a hopeful solution to tackle vital challenges in vaccine distribution and preservation. In this study, we present a detailed analysis of the structural forms of asymmetric curcuminoids through single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Curcuminoids substituted with electron‐withdrawing groups (Cl and Br) predominantly adopt the β‐keto‐enol form, whereas those with an OMe group exhibit both diketo and β‐keto‐enol forms. Variable‐temperature X‐ray diffraction studies confirm that the structural state of curcuminoids is influenced by temperature. Our findings also reveal that the β‐keto‐enol form is favored in acidic and neutral conditions, while the diketo form is more prevalent in basic environments. The theoretical Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations further elucidate the energy differences between the diketo and β‐keto‐enol forms, emphasizing the significance of electronic effects and temperature on tautomeric distributions. Marangoni effect is one of the critical factors in the droplet evaporation process, which is caused by surface tension gradient in the droplet interface. In this study, local heating is adopted to provide a more complicated temperature distribution on the droplet surface, and a detailed numerical investigation is carried out to address the effect of Marangoni flow on the droplet evaporation behaviour. Results show that asymmetric heat source position could result in the droplet morphology being asymmetric, especially for droplets on super-hydrophilic surfaces. The evaporation rate could be affected both by the heat source position and the droplet contact angle. When placed on a smooth substrate, the droplet will slip horizontally as a result of the asymmetric heating condition. In this study, entropy production in flow along with heat transport of non-Newtonian fluid via porous medium, is analyzed. For fluid flow via porous medium, a modified Darcy resistance term, is taken in the momentum equation for third-grade fluid. Temperature-dependent viscosity is considered using Vogel's model viscosity. Using adequate transformations, the momentum and heat transport equation are reduced to non-dimensional form and solved analytically invoking homotopy analysis method on MATHEMATICA software. Effects of parameters arising in the study are depicted by graphs on velocity distribution, temperature distribution, and entropy production with Bejan number and discussed. For validity of current findings, the values of velocity and temperature are computed for particular values of the parameters and equated with previously published results, excellent agreement achieved. Furthermore, skin-friction coefficient and Nusselt number values are expressed in tabular form for various values of relevant parameters and discussed. It is noticed that slip parameters (γ) and (β) reduce the entropy generation number (NS). Transporting pigs poses a significant challenge in maintaining proper interior thermal conditions. This study conducted 36 field trials run in Denmark and collected data from a certified livestock vehicle, during journeys of 8 h and 23 h respectively. This study aims to investigate the air temperature inside a livestock vehicle during the transportation and the influence of five factors on DT (difference in air temperature between interior of the vehicle and exterior): compartment location, deck height, height of openings for natural ventilation, wind speed and vehicle speed. The compartment location was the most important influencing factor of interior air temperature. The maximum percentage of time when air temperature exceeded 30 °C was 13.6% observed in the front compartment of trailer. The maximum difference in mean DT between the front and rear compartments at the same deck was 11.0 ± 0.67 °C occurred in the lorry. The maximum differences in mean DT between the two investigated deck heights were 1.2 ± 0.39 °C in the lorry (70 vs. 90 cm) and 0.9 ± 0.26 °C in the trailer (60 vs. 80 cm), respectively. The DT decreased with increasing height of opening for natural ventilation and wind speed, while the DT was insensitive to vehicle speed. Extra sensors installed on the front partition wall during the last 4 journeys showed significant temperature variability (up to 12 °C) within compartment. Loop-Mediated Isothermal Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) is a widely used technique for nucleic acid amplification due to its high specificity, sensitivity, and rapid results. Advances in microfluidic lab-on-chip (LOC) technology have enabled the integration of LAMP into miniaturized devices, known as μ -LAMP, which require precise thermal control for optimal DNA amplification. This paper introduces a novel thermal bed design using PCB copper traces and F R − 4 dielectric materials, providing a reliable, modular, and repairable heating platform. The system achieves accurate and stable temperature control, which is critical for μ -LAMP applications, with temperature deviations within ±1.0 °C. To accommodate the integration of renewable energy, coal-fired power plants must take on the task of peak regulation, making the low-load operation of boilers increasingly routine. Under low-load conditions, the phase transition point (PTP) of the working fluid fluctuates, leading to potential flow instability, which can compromise boiler safety. In this paper, a one-dimensional coupled dynamic model of the combustion and hydrodynamics of a supercritical boiler is developed on the Modelica/Dymola 2022 platform. The spatial distribution of key thermal parameters in the furnace and the PTP position in the water-cooled wall (WCW) are analyzed in a 660 MW supercritical boiler when parameters on the combustion side change under full-load and low-load conditions. The dynamic response characteristics of the temperature, mass flow rate, and the PTP position are investigated. The results show that the over-fire air (OFA) ratio significantly influences the flue gas temperature distribution. A lower OFA ratio increases the flue gas temperature in the burner zone but reduces it at the furnace exit. The lower OFA ratio leads to a higher fluid temperature and shortens the length of the evaporation section. The temperature difference in the WCW outlet fluid between the 20% and 60% OFA ratios is 11.7 °C under BMCR conditions and 7.4 °C under 50% THA conditions. Under the BMCR and 50% THA conditions, a 5% increase in the coal caloric value raises the flue gas outlet temperature by 32.7 °C and 35.4 °C and the fluid outlet temperature by 6.5 °C and 9.9 °C, respectively. An increase in the coal calorific value reduces the length of the evaporation section. The changes in the length of the evaporation section are −2.95 m, 2.95 m, −2.62 m, and 0.54 m when the coal feeding rate, feedwater flow rate, feedwater temperature, and air supply rate are increased by 5%, respectively. To eliminate the flow dead zone and homogenize the asymmetric flow field of a grate furnace, spirally twisted tape inserts (STTIs) with a pitch ratio of 1.5 were installed in the vertical flues of an SCL1000-13.5/450 grate boiler. The arrangement schemes found to be present inside the chosen 1000 t/d grate furnace, determined using the orthogonal experimental method, included separate installation in chamber II, separate placement in chamber III, and simultaneous arrangement in both chamber II and chamber III. The effects of row spacing H, column spacing W, and mounting angle φ were investigated by means of the practicable and feasible numerical simulation method. With a focus on the uniformity degree of the flue gas, the results showed that temperature distribution is directly correlated with the velocity field. When it comes to the uniformity of the flow field, the exclusive use of STTIs in chamber II was better than that in chamber III. Under the optimal combination scheme of STTIs in both chamber II and chamber III (scheme N323), the exhaust gas temperature reached the minimum value and the uniformity index of temperature increased to the range of 0.994~0.997. This paper examines the safety of aero-engine pipelines under different heating conditions. Based on the fire test standard documents, a model of an aero-engine oil pipe was constructed, and its safety under heating conditions that meet the standard was analyzed using fluid–solid thermal coupling. The pipe material was stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9Ti, and the oil inside the pipeline was China RP-3 kerosene. To simulate the different working conditions or pump failure scenarios, various kerosene inlet flow rates were used for the calculations. The results indicate that the pipe wall exhibits an uneven temperature distribution under standard heating conditions. As the kerosene flow rate decreases, the pipe wall temperature rises, and heat transfer deterioration occurs. The increase in the pipe wall temperature reduces the material's strength, while the uneven temperature distribution generates thermal stress, further increasing the safety risk. When the kerosene flow rate is reduced to a certain level, the equivalent stress in the pipe wall exceeds the material's yield strength, leading to a high risk of rupture. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Error analysis and estimation of thunder source location results is a prerequisite for obtaining accurate location results of thunder sources, which is of great significance for a deeper understanding of the physical process of lightning channel discharges. Most of the thunder source location algorithms are based on the simplified model of the straight-line propagation of acoustic waves to determine the location of the thunder source; however, the acoustic wave is affected by the inhomogeneity of the atmosphere medium in the propagation process and its acoustic ray will be bent. Temperature and humidity are the main factors affecting the vertical distribution of the velocity of sound in the atmosphere, therefore, it is necessary to study the changes in location errors under the models of uniform vertical distribution of temperature only and uniform vertical distribution of humidity only. This paper focuses on the theory of acoustic ray-tracing in neglecting the presence of the wind and the acoustic attenuation and the theoretical derivation of the location error of thunder source inversion for the three models is carried out by using MATLAB R2019b programming. Then, simulation analysis and comparative study on the variation law of thunder source location error with the height of the source, ground temperature, ground humidity, and array position under the three models are carried out. The results of the study show that the maximum location error can be obtained from the straight-line propagation model, the location error obtained from the model of uniform vertical distribution of temperature only is the second, and the location error obtained from the model of uniform vertical distribution of humidity only is the least and can be negligible compared to the first two models. In the trend of error variation, the variation of location error with temperature and humidity is relatively flat in the first two models; however, the variation of location error with the height of the thunder source is more drastic, which can be more than 80%. The location error obtained from the array inversion closer to the thunder source increases linearly with the height of the thunder source, the location error obtained from the more distant array inversion shows a fast-decreasing trend at the height of the thunder source from 500 to 3500 m, and a flat trend above 3500 m. The location error varies relatively smoothly with the height of the thunder source, the ground temperature, and the ground humidity in the model of uniform vertical distribution of humidity only. In addition, the position of the array also has an important effect on lightning location. The further the horizontal distance from the source, the greater the location error will be obtained in the first two models, and when the thunder source is at a low height and detected at a long distance, the location error will be very large, so relevant data should be modified in actual observation. Thermal runaway (TR), a critical failure mode in lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs), poses significant safety risks and hinders wider application of LIBs. TR typically begins at a localized heat source and spreads across the cell. Understanding thermal front propagation (TFP) characteristics, such as front and velocity, is crucial for assessing energy release and temperature distribution for battery hazardous estimation. Recent studies assume that TR within cells propagates at a near‐constant velocity, based on the reaction kinetics and thermal properties. Here, an intra‐battery TR model is further proposed and it indicates that TFP velocity stabilizes when the front is distanced from the heat source. Theoretical estimates for propagation velocity and front are developed and validated through numerical simulations and experimental tests from the NREL Battery Failure Databank. The energy release rate during TFP and the impact of preheating based on a point heat source are explored. This work clarifies the long‐standing clouds of the thermal font propagation behaviors within the single cell, highlights the power and beauty of mathematics modeling to describe the complicated thermal behaviors, and provides important guidelines for thermal hazardous understanding for next‐generation batteries. Utilization of actinides and rare earth elements is only possible by separating these metals with high purity. The materials used in separation must have thermal, chemical, mechanical, and radiation resistance. In the present study, separation experiments of actinides and rare earth elements (REEs) were carried out using purified H2SO4 leach liquor. Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-supported Ti, Zr, and Si oxide nanocomposites were tested for the selective separation of Th, U, Gd, Eu, Sm, Pr, Nd, La, Ce, and Y. The effects of pH, contact time, adsorbent/solution ratio, and temperature on distribution coefficient (KD) and adsorption capacity (Q) were investigated. The synthesized nanocomposites tend to separate the elements into two main groups: Th, U, Gd, Eu and Sm, Pr, Nd, La, Ce. Notably, it was observed that the separation of Th and U from the remaining elements is promising at 15 °C. Piezoelectric fan is widely used in electronic products heat dissipation. Channel arrangements affect the cooling performance. Flow and temperature distributions in five schemes: (1) large space, (2–4) top opening channels with different restricted extents, and (5) channel with four enclosed sides) were investigated. Time average velocity distributions reveal the flow characteristics of two high-speed cooling fluids forming from blade roots. The cooling fluids gradually converge in the middle of blade tips and disperse downstream. Scheme (5) has the highest velocity of 8 m/s due to the strongest sucking and driving effects of negative and positive pressure zones. Air ventilation rates of schemes (1–5) cover the range from 1.21 × 10−3 to 2.07 × 10−3 m3/s. For schemes (1–4), the maximum ventilation always comes from top boundary, with the percentage above 80%. Among all schemes, the maximum temperature of scheme (1) is lowest, which is 467.401 K. However, the highest space-time average heat transfer coefficient is obtained in scheme (1), up to 54.02 W/(m2·K). The value decreases sequentially in schemes (5, 2, 4 and 3). Unlike previous studies that predominantly focused on uni-directional functionally graded materials (FGMs), this work extends the analysis to bi-directional FGM shell panels with various geometries, offering a more comprehensive understanding of their thermal buckling behavior. For the first time, a combination of higher-order shear deformation theory and the p-version finite element method is utilized in this context. Moreover, a novel nonlinear temperature distribution solution derived from the steady-state thermal conduction equation for bi-FGMs is proposed, addressing a significant gap in the existing literature. Owing to the direct exposure to complex atmospheric environments, the temperature field of composite box girder bridge with corrugated steel webs (CBGB-CSW) is likely non-uniformly distributed. Whereas, the current researches regarding the thermal responses of CBGB-CSW are insufficient, and the thermal responses of CBGB-CSW under solar radiation are still unknown. Therefore, this paper conducted a long-term temperature experiment on a scaled model to explore the temperature distribution characteristics in CBGB-CSW. Meanwhile, a three-dimensional thermal–mechanical coupling Finite Element (FE) model is established to simulate the temperature field in the experiment girder. The accuracy and effectiveness of the developed FE model has been verified by the measured temperature data. Therewith, the thermal responses (i.e., stress and displacement) of a full-scale continuous CBGB-CSW with a span of 150 m are numerically investigated. The results indicate that the maximum stresses always occur at the midspan section (with a depth of 5 m) of the continuous CBGB-CSW, and considerable concentrations of stress are observed in the steel-concrete junction. The maximum longitudinal tensile and compressive normal stresses within 0.4 m of the upper junction can reach 5.55 MPa and −8.46 MPa respectively, and those of the lower junction can reach 6.96 MPa and −7.05 MPa respectively. Besides, owing to the impacts of vertical and horizontal temperature gradients, significant displacements of the whole bridge can also be observed. The maximum vertical displacement (5.33 mm) of the CBGB-CSW is estimated at the top plate in the midspan, while the maximum horizontal displacement (0.74 mm) is estimated at the trough of the southern corrugated steel web in the midspan. The heat transfer coefficient, including interfacial heat transfer coefficient (IHTC) and convective heat transfer coefficient (CHTC), plays a pivotal role in the thermal dynamics of hot gas forming processes. This parameter can determine the temperature field, thereby affecting the deformation and mechanical properties of the material to improve productivity. In this paper, we present an innovative experimental apparatus designed to measure the temperature evolutions of the aluminum specimen and the die during the hot gas forming processes. This apparatus is capable of simultaneously measuring IHTC and CHTC. Using the inverse finite element method, the simulated temperature histories are matched with empirical data and the best-fit values are adopted as indicative of IHTC and CHTC. This study identified the effects of contact pressure and die temperature on IHTC, as well as the impact of gas pressure on CHTC. In addition, a predictive model was developed to forecast the IHTC and CHTC at varying contact pressures and die temperatures with a prediction accuracy surpassing 0.95. By leveraging the predictive model presented in this paper, users can modulate contact pressure and die temperature based on specific production needs to achieve a targeted temperature profile. This method offers enhanced precision in managing the temperature field of the workpiece during hot gas forming experiments, thereby refining the temperature distribution. Roll coating plays a major role in industrial coating, including wallpapers, plastic and photographic films, sticky tapes, magnetic recordings, wrapping magazines and books, and so on. The current study proposes a mathematical model for a non‐isothermal, incompressible Sutterby fluid flowing through a narrow gap between two heated, counterrotating rollers. Lubrication approximation theory is used to simplify nondimensional expressions. The perturbation technique provides exact results for velocity profile, temperature, flow rate, and pressure gradient, whereas the numerical technique (Simpson rule) is used to compute the pressure profile and flow rate, respectively. The effects of the involved parameters on various physical characteristics like pressure, flow rate, temperature, pressure gradient, force, and power input are depicted in graphs and tabular form. A mechanism for controlling the coating thickness, power input, flow rate, separation force, and pressure distribution is provided by the material properties involved. With variations to a Sutterby fluid parameter β $\beta $ and the velocity ratio K, both the pressure gradient and pressure decrease. It is significant to note that the temperature distribution is controlled by the velocities ratio and Brinkman number. In this paper, we consider a mathematical model, which has a unique mechanism of heat transfer in the stretching/shrinking straight fin with an exponential profile. The thermal conductivity, internal heat generation, and heat transfer coefficient are considered temperature‐dependent. Heat is exposed to the surroundings by convection and radiation. The governing differential equation and boundary conditions are presented in a dimensionless form. In our study, we considered variable surface emissivity, that is, a constant, and the linear function of a temperature. The convective heat transfer parameter is considered a power‐low type. The novelty of this work is the application of temperature‐dependent surface emissivity, and the problem is solved by the Legendre wavelet collocation method. A comparative analysis of the present results in the context of previous findings is presented in the form of a table for validation and found exactly the same. The impacts of distinct variables are presented in the form of figures and discussed in detail. In this study, an efficient optimization framework was developed to determine the parameters of through‐silicon vias and the layout of heat sources in three‐dimensional integrated circuits (3D ICs), employing an artificial neural network (ANN) reduced‐order model in conjunction with a Bayesian optimization (BO) algorithm. The proposed method effectively predicts the temperature distribution in 3D ICs and refines their thermal parameters, offering solutions to thermal management challenges. Latin hypercube sampling was utilized for data sampling, enhancing the previously established rapid thermal analysis method through parameterization of heat source locations. The temperature distribution data for varying hotspot locations in 3D ICs were fitted using an appropriately defined objective function, leading to the development of a reduced‐order ANN model that accelerates temperature prediction. The computational results demonstrate that the neural network model exhibits a deviation in predicted values of less than 2%, and the coefficient of determination R2 approximately 0.93, underscoring high predictive accuracy. Additionally, the optimization outcomes and the efficiency of the selected BO algorithm were thoroughly evaluated. Notably, the BO algorithm achieved the global optimum in just 4.07 s across 250 iterations, demonstrating an effective power distribution strategy for the 3D ICs model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper explores the impact of temperature on the fractionalization of magnetic nanoparticles in blood, coupled with vibratory motion influenced by rotation. The distribution systems exhibit heightened diffusivity, explored numerically through the finite difference method and the L1 ${L}_{1}$ algorithm. The temperature distribution robustly responds to elevated fractional parameters, indicating a critical threshold. The study achieves a comprehensive understanding of temperature and velocity evolution in different tube zones. In comparison, single‐walled carbon nanotubes surpass multiple‐walled carbon nanotubes in distributions, while CuO nanoparticles demonstrate larger distributions at an average fractional‐order parameter of α=0.5 $\alpha =0.5$. In the observed growth region at α=0.73,Fe2O3 $\alpha =0.73,{\text{Fe}}_{2}{{\rm{O}}}_{3}$ and TiO2 ${\text{TiO}}_{2}$ exhibit noteworthy temperature distributions, highlighting the fractional derivative's impact in highly diffusive models with nanoparticles. It is also noted that in this region, the temperature distribution tends to decrease for all the parameters and values examined, particularly at a low Reynolds number (Re=0.5 ${R}_{e}=0.5$). However, the introduction of nanoparticles accelerates the processes and distributions across the various observed zones. Furthermore, the accelerated behavior of each nanoparticle can be moderated based on its sphericity. By encompassing all facets of fractional order for controlled rotations, the study sheds light on the role of magnetized nanoparticles in blood dynamics, emphasizing the significance of a critical zone where certain physicochemical properties are disrupted, potentially leading to cellular disorders, and the fluidodynamic effects of vortex flow. This paper employs the inclusion-based boundary element method (iBEM) to delve into heat transfer phenomena in composites. Initially, we integrate the heat flow function and ellipsoidal integral into a bounded domain containing multiple ellipsoidal inhomogeneities. The eigen-temperature gradient is utilized to simulate the thermal mismatch between inhomogeneities and the matrix. Subsequently, the temperature field is computed considering boundary heat flux and temperature conditions, eigen-temperature gradient, and virtual heat source acting on inhomogeneities. The eigen-temperature gradient and virtual heat source are then solved using the equivalent heat flow conditions to obtain the steady-state heat conduction results within the bounded domain. Through comprehensive numerical examples, we analyze the temperature distribution within composite and scrutinize the impact of particle shapes, orientations, volume fractions, and thermal conductivity ratios on the effective thermal conductivity of composite. Furthermore, we explore the distinctive properties of functional gradient material. Additionally, a comparison between iBEM and the finite element method is conducted. Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) have gained great attention as a stationary power generation application due to their high efficiency, fuel flexibility and environmental friendliness. The devices and power age could be revolutionized with the commercialization of these technologies. The SOFC-based stationary power generator is one step closer to commercialization however, it is delayed due to the inherent bottleneck of insufficient long-term durability. The cathode current collecting layer (CCCL) is crucial in stack applications to minimize the contact loss between cell and metallic interconnects. Herein, we report an easy-to-fabricate and highly robust CCCL to boost electrochemical performance and long-term durability of flat tubular (FT) short stack. The tailored structure of the CCCL was employed in the fabrication of the FT short-stack. The G/Ag porous structure exhibited increased porosity of 61.2 %, thereby enhancing the mass transport and improving the overall performance and long-term durability. The four-cell FT stack was manufactured without an interconnect and open air-gas channel. Subsequently, the FT short-stack is tested for performance and long-term durability for elapsed 5000 h at a chronopotentiometry test. The porous layer of graphite/Ag on the cathode layer maintained structural integrity without defects and mechanical failure. Consequently, the stack voltage remains stable throughout operation owing to improved structural stability and uniform temperature distribution across four FT cell stack. To achieve efficient cooling capabilities in electric vehicle (EV) batteries, battery thermal management systems with higher power density have garnered significant attention. This work introduces a novel computational analysis method to assess the temperature distribution within the designed multiple EV battery cooling module's, investigating the flow of both water and silver-based nanofluids as coolants. The EV battery module under study comprises ten cylindrical lithium-ion batteries of model 18,650 types. This comprehensive simulation considered various factors, such as the coolant's flow path, flow rate and type, appear to have significantly influencing temperature distribution. The analysis identifies "Case IV" as the most effective cooling configuration utilizing water as the coolant and demonstrating superior cooling capabilities compared to the conventional cooling module ("Case I"). This finding marks a critical step toward optimizing battery cooling methods and achieving efficient thermal management. The incorporation of silver nanoparticles in the base fluid (water) enhances the nanofluid's thermal conductivity and heat transfer efficiency, showcasing improved cooling capabilities beyond that of water alone. The performance of different nanofluid concentrations including 0.25% and 0.50% by volume was evaluated to demonstrate their impact on battery cooling efficiency. To contextualize the results, the cooling performance of silver nanofluids has been compared with that of TiO2 nanofluids reported in previous studies. The outcomes of this research underscore the potential of the computational analysis technique to advance temperature management systems for EV batteries, improving EVs performance and reliability and contributing to a more sustainable and efficient future of transportation. The slip flow behavior in nanofluid is necessary in industrial and engineering systems. Thermal and concentration slip is very important to enhance the heat and mass transport in micro-channels, artificial heart valves polishing, emulsion, suspended substances, foaming, internal heart cavities, and polymerization treatments. The movement of the fluid in the slip flow pattern is quite distinct from the conventional flows. The main aim of present research is to examine the thermal and concentration slip effects on heat and mass transport of magneto-nanofluid across stretchable surface in the presence of viscous dissipation and thermal density. The mathematical model is developed in terms of partial derivatives and converted into ordinary form by using similarity variables and stream functions. By using similarity and stream variables, the significant physical parameters such as Eckert number, modified buoyancy parameter, Prandtl parameter, density parameter, Brownian factor, and slip factors are generated. The numerical outcomes are elaborated by using Keller–box scheme with Newton–Raphson method. The velocity of nanoparticles, temperature, and concentration distributions are the main key findings of this research. It is noticed that the temperature distribution exponentially increases as density parameter increases. It is examined that the significant slip behavior in thermal and concentration increases as Eckert number increases. It is found that significant variations in slip velocity and slip temperature are examined for each slip parameter.
