Abstract

[Objective] The health benefits of urban scenic areas for residents are one of the essential reasons for scenic area construction. Environmental preference and place attachment are the perceptions and attitudes of individuals towards the external environment, and clarifying the interaction between the two is of great significance for enhancing the health benefits of scenic areas.[Methods] This study constructed a structural relationship model between environmental preference, place attachment, and the perceived health benefits of recreationists in urban scenic and historic areas, proposed relevant research hypotheses, and took the Langya Mountain as an example for model verification. [Results] The study found that there are three mental paths for the assessment of environmental health benefits of urban scenic and historic areas: the direct influence path of “environmental preference → perceived health benefits” and the indirect influence paths of “environmental preference → place dependence → place identity → perceived health benefits” and “environmental preference → place identity → perceived health benefits”. The results indicate that the preference for the external environment will promote the generation of place dependence, leading to deep emotional attachment. [Conclusion] Therefore, the health benefits of scenic areas can be improved by enhancing the environmental preference and the place attachment of recreationists. This study provides a new perspective for understanding the complex psychological processes by which people’s perception of urban scenic and historic areas influences their physical and mental health. It also provides a reference for the design and management of similar types of scenic areas.

2. Investigate the Relationship Between the Use of Talent Management and Reduction of Turnover

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of providing a causal model between talent management system, resilience and turnover intent. Actually the problem of this research was considering structural relationship between 3 variables. Research method in terms of purpose was developmental-applied and in terms of data collection methods was a descriptive–correlational research. The study statistical population was consisted of staff total of Khash cement ( 274people) in1392. Data were collected by questionnaires; they were analyzed by t-value and path analysis in LISREL software and also nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test, median test in SPSS software. The results indicated that, talent management system has a significant positive relationship with resilience. Resilience has a significant negative relationship with turnover intent. Thus, after remove the direct path of talent management system to turnover intent, the research final model fit was satisfactory. Therefore, attention to the Implementation of talent management system processes with approach of Promoting resilience in organizations should be noted, particularly in industrial centers.

Abstract

This study was intended to establish a relationship between the strategic foresight dimensions with the public policy attributes of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government. The data was collected through questionnaire survey staffs of UAE government organizations. A total of 397 valid responses were collected and analysed. The collected data was used to develop the relationship using AMOS software. It was found that the measurement model has fulfilled or achieved all the required criteria. For structural model evaluation, it found that the model has achieved all the set criteria of the evaluation. Results of the structural model evaluation found that strategic foresight influence 69 % of the public policy making. It also found that the model has the significant relationship between strategic foresight dimensions and public policy. It was found that the model has 47% predictive relevancy. This result indicates that there is a substantial and direct effect between the strategic foresight and public policy. Hypothesis testing was conducted on the model and found that there is a significant relationship between strategic foresight dimensions and public policy is achieved. This indicates that the model can be applicable to UAE authority and contributes to the body of knowledge for further research.

Abstract

Other than being a profession that extends beyond only providing information on the historical monuments, tour guiding is a job that has positive effects on the holistic holiday experience. Thus, this profession in its context embodies many different roles that are necessary. With this context, the purpose of this study is primarily to analyze the effects of the leadership and mediation roles on certificated tour guide performance evaluation and then on holistic tour experience. Consequently, in order to determine the relationships between parameters, a field survey at Sarigerme tourism region was conducted on the guided nature tours during the months of May, June and July in 2013. Through the data obtained by the questionnaires, the relationship between the leadership role / mediator role of tour guides on tour guides' performance and holistic tour experience basing on two different models was analyzed with Structural Equation Method (SEM). As an outcome of the survey, it was found that the leadership role/mediator role of tour guides on the evaluation of the tour guides' performance and that the tour guide performance has positive effects on the evaluation holistic tour experience. Abstract

This study was aimed at developing ethical leadership indicators for school principals, in Thailand, by examining consistent with the confirmatory factor analysis, the empirical data of the “goodness of fit” of the structural relationship model. There were two groups of research samples involved in this study, namely: seven educational experts; and 826 schools. They were chosen by utilizing the multi-staged random sampling technique. The instruments used were interview questions and a questionnaire. The results showed that ethical leadership was composed of five primary factors; 19 secondary factors; and 69 indicators. The affecting factors were ranked in descending order. These were responsibility; fairness; trust; disposition; and empowerment respectively. There were 13 indicators related to responsibility; 11 indicators associated with fairness; 17 indicators connected to trust; 15 indicators linked to disposition; and 13 indicators related to empowerment. These findings had implications for Thailand's educational institutions since, in the last decade, they had failed to develop ethical values amongst the younger generation. This might have been due to the rapid pace of modernization.
