Adoption of cloud services has an increasing trend for many years already and no indication that it should change in close future has occurred. Moreover, cloud consumption has been further enhanced due to the COVID-19 situation since a great number of employees started to work from home and therefore, they need to access resources over the internet. This article describes the performed analysis of official data provided by the European Union on the consumption of cloud services in the member countries. The analysis particularly focused on comparing the cloud consumption in the Czech Republic, Visegrád Group and European Union in total. The consumption was compared based on multiple criteria – primarily on cloud service types, organization types, consumption trends. The analysis was conducted over sets of biannual data (2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020) that are available on the Eurostat site for all the European Union countries. The comparison showed that the level of cloud consumption differs across and that the average consumption for the European Union is higher than in the Czech Republic and in Visegrád Group. Besides, the comparison revealed that consumption in the Czech Republic is slightly higher than in Visegrád Group. Such pattern in the comparison between the three subjects was present in the majority of comparisons and therefore it might be stated that the Czech Republic and Visegrád Group are behind the average cloud consumption in European Union. The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of women in politics during the period of the Weimar Republic and the first Czechoslovak Republic. Subsequently, it discusses the situation in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. Specifically, it focuses on the issue of granting women the right to vote and their low representation in the legislative bodies of selected countries. It also analyzes the fundamental reasons why the representation of women in politics is low and several solutions to how this persistent problem can be solved. In addition to important women not only in the Czech but also in the German political scene, it also mentions personalities who con-tributed to the emancipation of women in both countries.

The thesis deals with stereotypes of nations in Central Europe from the perspective of selected sample of the Czech population. The aim of this thesis is to map the stereotypical opinions that prevail in Czech society in seven Central European political nations. The thesis also points out the presence of geographical factors which are associated with the occurrence of stereotypes. The research part of this thesis is based on a questionnaire survey through which respondents were asked, among other things, about their attitudes or knowledge towards the monitored nations. The collected data were analysed in a comprehensive manner with an emphasis on curiosity and geographical context. In the part of synthesis, the data were divided according to the set generations and then compared with the aim of discovering what differences or similarities between the generations exist.

Title: Epidemiology of injuries in men's fastpitch softball Objective: Objective of this thesis is to evidence occurrence of injuries in men's fastpitch softball and focus on each type of injury due to the players position, find out what players do to prevent from injuries and how long it takes them to return on the fields Method: The non-standardized survey with closed questions was used as a method for this research. The survey was made in server survio.com in both Czech and English language and was sent to the world leading softball countries. Data was analysed in World Excel program. Results: The results show that the most common injuries are fractures (15,8 %), torn/tear ligaments or tendons (15 %), sprains (15,4 %) and overstretched muscles (13,5 %). Other types of injuries are also frequented, but the above can be described as the most common. Injuries of the lower limbs are most common (51 %) and specifically injuries of the ankle (23,2 %). Most injuries occur during defensive skills (39,6 %) and during running around bases (36,4 %). In almost one third (28,6 %) of all cases, recovery took 3-4 weeks and more than half (62,3 %) of all injuries occurred during the match. This thesis deals with far-right parties in Slovakia. The objective is to compare them based on selected factors in order to answer the question: Who is the far-right voter in Slovakia today? For this purpose, the most successful far-right parties in recent years were chosen: the Slovak National Party (SNS), the People's Party Our Slovakia (ĽSNS), and a new formation called Republic. The factors adopted are characteristics and genesis, electorate and geographic support definition, and electoral volatility. The paper is divided into four parts. The first part concerns the far-right in Eastern Europe and Slovakia especially. In the second part, the focus is placed on the milestones that shaped and changed the Slovak political environment. Specifically, these are the Slovak state, the transformation period, Mečiar and anti-Hungarian politics, the fall of Mečiar, Fico and a government with the SNS, and the murder of Ján Kuciak. The third chapter analyses individual parties according to the factors mentioned above. Finally, the comparison itself is approached, where differences are identified but particularly parallels. Based on these findings, the author subsequently answers the research question.

Diploma thesis Closely Watched Trains: from the short story Kain to the short story, from short story to Oscar film and theatrical adaptations maps the path of Bohumil Hrabal's existential short story Kain, through the short story Closely Watched Trains, an Oscar film of the same name to theatrical adaptations that were dramatized by different people. The work also includes media response and comparison of the similarity of books, films and productions. The first part deals with the theoretical definition of literary genres, namely short stories and short stories. Review and criticism from the journalistic genres are theoretically described. The film and theater adaptation is defined and the dramatic structure of the film work is described. The second part presents the life and work of the writer Bohumil Hrabal and examines in more detail his distinctive writing style. This electric motor is used as a drive unit for an electric quad bike manufactured at the Department of Mechatronics and Electronics. Title: Analysis and comparison of gaming performace indicators for Women's basketball league in the period 2009/10 to 2018/19. Objectives: The main focus of this thesis is to compare, based on data acquired from official statistics the quantitative differences in the selected indicators of game performance for teams placed on second, sixth and tenth places in the highest women's basketball competition in the Czech Republic of 10 years the regular season (from the year 2009/10 to 2018/19). Methods: In our thesis we used secondary analysis - data were acquired from the website of the Czech Basketball Federation. Results: Have to show us differences in the performance in our selected indicators of the same places teams in individual seasons for a period of 10 years, differences in the evenness in each indicator between the teams that placed second, sixth and tenth, the summary of the average values, which we compare in each indicator for 10 years of teams placed second, sixth a tenth. The article contains the results of empirical analysis of data on one percent of employees with the highest salaries in the Slovak Republic in 2020. The starting point for the analysis there is 11,570 anonymized individual values of average gross monthly wage and also personal data of the employees whose wage exceeded the 99th percentile of the sample survey The Informational System on Labour Costs, implemented in the Slovak Republic since 1992 by the company Trexima Bratislava. The aim of the article is to assess the gender pay gap for the best-earning men and women and assess the significance of the impact of selected factors that contribute it. Given the availability of data the monitored factors of the gender pay gap there are education, region of residence, the type of occupation, and the categorized age of employees. To achieve the objective, selected quantitative methods were used, namely methods of descriptive statistics and statistical inference, as goodness-of-fit tests, chi-squared tests of independence and machine learning methods, as normalized Shannon entropy and regression decision tree models. The results of analyses by these methods have been preferably presented in a graphical form. Based on the application of the above methods the significant wage differences by gender at the highest wages (over the 99th percentile of the sample) and significant impact of monitored factors has been confirmed not only on the gender pay gap, but also on the structure of their employment. The results of the analyses lead to the conclusion that the significant wage differences by gender at the highest wages are caused precisely by unequal representation of men and women on the different levels of the monitored factors. The obtained results are partially compared with the results of a similar analysis based on data from 2010 (Pacáková et al., 2012).

Environmental impacts of transport are currently often discussed, especially in relation to the so-called flygskam, which is a trend encouraging voluntary refusal of using air transport because of its environmental impacts. It is the target of this thesis to compare greenhouse gas emissions produced by various means of transport in three model situations from daily life. The model situations are commute to school or work, trip abroad on land and a transoceanic trip. Algorithms used to calculate the emissions in the individual situations are also used to construct an interactive emission calculator in Microsoft Excel environment. The assignment focuses on the campaigns of Zuzana Čaputová and Maroš Šefčovič in the Slovak presidential elections in 2019. The main objective is to describe the campaign of both candidates and compare them. Another aim of the assignment is to identify some changes in their communication between the first and the second round of the elections. In the theoretical part, the basic aspects of political marketing are described, because they are very important for the understanding of the subject. This part of the assignment also focuses on the law aspects of presidential function and the elections. The first round of the elections is also described in this part. The main part of the assignment covers the campaigns of the candidates, motivation of the voters and in the end it summarizes what worked in the campaigns.

The present diploma thesis deals with the life and compositional style of M. P. Mussorgsky and the generation of The Five. Subsequently, it focuses on the analysis of Mussorgsky's piano work Pictures at an Exhibition, the circumstances of its origin and its sources of inspiration. In the section devoted to the interpretation concept, this thesis aims to analyze and then compare two selected piano performances of Pictures at an Exhibition, namely the ones by E. Kissin and K. Buniatishvili, on the basis of which it will point out specific features of the concept and way of playing of each of these pianists.

SGS-2021-021 Two different approaches for the calculation of the household photovoltaic (PV) installations energy balance are presented and discussed in this paper. The main methodology is based on the Monte Carlo method is proposed and applied to the case study with the effort to increase the annual energy balance calculation accuracy without increasing significantly problem complexity. Results are discussed and compared to the second approach based on direct calculation using only mean values as well as with the real (measured) values of the household energy balance.

Title: Analysis of the explosive power of the lower limbs during the racing period of junior national downhill skiing team. Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to determine the possible difference between the level of explosive power of the lower limbs before the racing period and just before the end of the racing period in junior downhill skiing team. Methods: In a double measurement, 10 skiers (n=10) were measured for differences in explosive power levels by using specially made test battery before the start of the racing season (December 2020) and after the end of the season (April 2021). Output measure values were compared to input values and the significance of gains or losses in scores on the output measure was assessed using a reliability test. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse and compare Harper Lee's canonical coming-of- age novel To Kill a Mockingbird to its original forerunner, the novel Go Set a Watchman, which was, however, published several years later. The theoretical part provides a brief synopsis of each of the novels and outlines Lee's life, as well as the main aspects of the historical and social background relevant to the stories, namely the Great Depression, Jim Crow laws, and the Scottsboro Trial. The practical part then investigates and juxtaposes the two novels from thematic and structural perspectives, and considers them specifically through the psychological, sociological, and stylistic prisms. Besides, it compares the factual similarities and differences in storylines and characters, who are often based on Lee's real-life acquaintances. The overall comparison shows how To Kill a Mockingbird, a gently tuned novel of children growing up yet packed with diverse topics, evolved from a rather intricate novel, Go Set a Watchman, dealing with a difficult task of one's individuation and realising that one's father is only a human. Výhoda domácího týmu ve fotbale je dobře známým fenoménem. Cílem tohoto článku je nabídnout odlišný pohled na výhodu domácího týmu. Obvykle se ve fotbale hraje mezi dvěma týmy - týmem A a týmem B - dvakrát za sezónu. Jednou hraje tým doma a jednou hostuje u soupeře. Toto nám poskytuje dva výsledky mezi týmy A a B, které jsou propojeny dohromady tak, abychom vyhodnotili, zda tým A proti svému soupeři B zaznamenal na domácím hřišti výsledek - ve srovnání s venkovním zápasem - lepší, stejný, nebo horší. Tento postup vede k náhodné veličině se třemi možnými výsledky, tj. s trinomickým rozdělením. Kombinace a porovnání výsledků domácích a venkovních zápasů dvou týmů je klíčem k eliminaci problémů s rozdílnými silami týmů v lize. Bayesův přístup se používá k určení bodových a intervalových odhadů neznámých parametrů zdrojové trinomické distribuce, tj. pravděpodobnosti, že výsledek doma bude lepší, stejný nebo horší. Navíc je možné testovat hypotézu, že výhoda domácího týmu pro vybraný tým je statisticky významná. The home team advantage in association football is a well known phenomenon. The aim of this paper is to offer a different view on the home team advantage. Usually, in association football, every two teams – team A and team B – play each other twice in a season. Once as a home team and once as a visiting, or away team. This gives us two results between teams A and B which are combined together to evaluate whether team A, against its opponent B, recorded a result at its home ground – in the comparison to the away ground – that is better, even, or worse. This leads to a random variable with three possible outcomes, i.e. with trinomial distribution. The combination and comparison of home and away results of the same two teams, is the key to eliminate problems with different squad strengths of teams in a league. The bayesian approach is used to determine point and interval estimates of unknown parameters of the source trinomial distribution, i.e. the probability that the result at home will be better, even, or worse. Moreover, it is possible to test a hypothesis that the home team advantage for a selected team is statistically significant.

Immediately after germination, the plants depend on the nutrients stored in the seed from which they germinated, until the nutrient intake is completely replaced by the mature leaves and roots. Nutrients in seeds are important for early development of vegetative organs. Their content and concentration in seeds can be influenced by various factors such as nutrient availability in soil, latitude, temperature, photoperiod, granivory and competition. This bachelor's thesis summarizes current knowledge about intraspecific and interspecific variability of seed nutrient stoichiometry, specifically nitrogen, phosphorus and carbon, as they most often limit plant growth. For all three elements, common and different trends can be observed, both at the intra-species and inter-species level. The only trend comparable between the intra-species and inter-species level is correlation of carbon seed concentration and latitude, while at the inter-species level there is also the opposite trend of negative correlation of latitude and carbon concentration in seeds. Other observed trends are not comparable between the intra-species and inter-species level. The aim of the thesis Comparison of Czech and Polish Health Care System is to compare Health Care Systems of Czech Republic and Poland in terms of several factors. The thesis defines types of both health systems, describes their organization and reforms after year 1989 and defines trends, which can be found in both systems. The key point of this thesis is comparison with focus on their financing, availability of health care and the contentment of patients. Based on this comparison, the author suggests discusses system measures, which could lead to an improvement of the health care in both countries.

Main aim of the thesis is to provide overall view about the quality of services that are offered to customers. Cílem bakalářské práce je posoudit a porovnat celkovou konkurenceschopnost a pozici vybrané společnosti na trhu v určité oblasti. K této analýze byly vybrány jednotlivé prodejny spotřebního družstva, a to konkrétně jednoty COOP v porovnání s hypermarkety Kaunfland, Albert a Lídl. Konkurenceschopnost jednotlivých společností je porovnávána v oblasti Jižních čech, přesněji v Jindřichově Hradci. V první části této práce jsou objasněna teoretická východiska a základní problematika, která se vztahuje k problému konkurenční schopnosti prodejny. Na základě těchto východisek je zpracovaná analýza, která nám objasní, jak se na tom prodejna stojí. Pro optimální zjištění nejlepšího výsledku budou námi potřebná data získávána přímo od zaměstnanců a majitelů poboček. V celkové analýze nechybí ani názor zákazníků a jejich spokojenost s nákupem. Po zanalyzování a vyhodnocení jsou v praktické části navržena opatření, která mohou zlepšit konkurenční schopnost dané prodejny.

The Bachelor's thesis called Comparison of selected illegal drug users depending on a various factors deals in theory part with drug issues such as basic drug definition, development, signs and consequences of addiction, as well as addiction treatment. The thesis includes the classification of the most used illegal drugs, legislation of the Czech Republic linked to the possession, use and trafficking of illegal substances and basic types of prevention. The main objective of the practical part is to determine key factors for the effect on the first use of illegal drugs by comparing the testimonies of selected research respondents. The inquiry also includes three sub-objectives relating to the underlying circumstances of addiction, the effect of educational attainment on the use of illegal substances and the factors that led to a restriction or complete cessation of the use of illegal drugs in those asked. A total of ten respondents - eight men and two women in the range of 18 to 32 years old - were interviewed in the form of interviews. Článek představuje obvodovou strukturu, která může být využita pro sběr energie z okolí (harvester). Je určena především pro spojení se solárními články nebo jinými zdroji energie, které poskytují dostatečně velké napětí, avšak mohou dodat pouze malý proud. Obvod je schopen akumulovat energii do kondenzátoru až do okamžiku, kdy je dosaženo příslušného napětí. Poté je kondenzátor připojen k zátěži. Obvod vykazuje podobnou funkčnost jako komerčně dostupný harvester EH300. Článek porovnává jejich elektrické vlastnosti, velikost a cenu. Obvod byl otestován s IoT (Internet of Things) uzlem, který periodicky odesílá změřená data do základnové stanice pouze s využitím napájení pomocí solárního článku. Horší elektrické vlastnosti navrženého obvodu jsou vyváženy jeho velmi nízkou cenou, která umožňuje nasazení tohoto obvodu v masovějším měřítku IoT sítí. The paper presents a circuit structure that can be used as an energy harvester. It is intended for photovoltaic panels (PV) or other sources of energy that can provide enough voltage level but that can source only low currents. The circuit is able to accumulate the energy until certain level and then to pass it to the load. The presented circuit exhibits similar functionality as a commercially available energy harvester EH300. The paper compares their technical properties, form factors and costs. The circuit was tested with IoT (Internet of Things) node that can periodically transmit measured data to the base station using just the powering from the PV panel. Worse electrical properties of the circuit are repaid by its low cost that allows mass applicability in the IoT.

Domácí výhoda ve sportu je důležitá pro trenéry, hráče, fanoušky a komentátory a má klíčovou roli ve sportovních předpovědních modelech. Tato práce staví na výsledcích nedávného výzkumu, který - místo získaných bodů - používá vstřelené a obdržené góly k tomu, aby popsal výhodu domácího prostředí, což nabízí detailnější pohled na tento jev. Prezentovaný popis chápe domácí výhodu v ligách jako náhodnou proměnnou, kterou lze popsat trinomickým rozdělením. Tento článek používá tohoto popisu k tomu, aby nabídl nové způsoby srovnání domácích výhod v různých ligách - postupy jsou založeny na Jeffreyho divergenci a testu homogenity. Dále je vyvinut heuristický postup - založený na vzdálenostech mezi pravděpodobnostními popisy domácí výhody v ligách - pro identifikaci lig s podobnou domácí výhodou. Veřejně dostupná data jsou použita k demonstraci prezentovaných postupů v 19 evropských fotbalových ligách v období 2007/2008 až 2016/2017 a také pro jednotlivé týmy v rámci daných lig v jedné sezoně. Celkově byla nejvyšší míra domácí výhody zjištěna v nejvyšší řecké fotbalové lize a nejnižší ve čtvrté anglické fotbalové lize. Home advantage in sports is important for coaches, players, fans, and commentators and has a key role in sports prediction models. This paper builds on results of recent research that—instead of points gained—used goals scored and goals conceded to describe home advantage. This offers more detailed look at this phenomenon. Presented description understands a home advantage in leagues as a random variable that can be described by a trinomial distribution. The paper uses this description to offer new ways of home advantage comparison—based on the Jeffrey divergence and the test for homogeneity—in different leagues. Next, a heuristic procedure—based on distances between probability descriptions of home advantage in leagues—is developed for identification of leagues with similar home advantage. Publicly available data are used for demonstration of presented procedures in 19 European football leagues between the 2007/2008 and 2016/2017 seasons, and for individual teams of one league in one season. Overall, the highest home advantage rate was identified in the highest Greek football league, and the lowest was identified in the fourth level English football league.

The crime of theft according to section 205 of Czech Criminal Code Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the crime of theft according to section 205 of Czech Criminal Code. The aim of this report is to analyse the crime of theft and to describe its features, in order to provide its comprehensive knowledge. The work is divided into six chapters, which are then divided into individual subchapters. The first chapter deals with property criminality, whose phenomenon is theft. It is pointed out to the high frequency of theft in property criminality and also for some types of theft to the relatively low level of clarity. The second chapters deal with historical view the historical view of theft in Czech lands. The description begins in the oldest period and ends in year 1989. More space is devoted to the period after year 1945, where it is pointed out to the existence of two types of thefts, which were introduced after year 1945. The third chapter provides a view on the institution of property, which is closely related to theft. The space is mainly dedicated to the protection of property, which takes place on several levels. The thesis addresses the comparison of the position of presidents in the political system of the Weimar Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. With the adoption of the Basic Law in 1949, the Federal Republic of Germany built the presidency on a completely new foundation. The main goal of this work is to find out why the role of the president in the political system of Germany is only representative. A comparative case study is used in this work. The position of the presidents in the Weimar Republic and Germany is viewed from several positions. The introductory chapter contains a general classification of political systems (semi-presidentialism and parliamentarism) and the position of the president in these political systems. The following chapter deals with the historical context, specifically the establishment of presidential offices in both countries. Healthcare systems play a very important role in society and their role is becoming increasingly important in regard to the phenomenon of population ageing. The issue of the performance of healthcare systems should be at the forefront in terms of the interest of academic research studies and discussions among the scientifi c community. The proper functioning of the healthcare system should also be a priority in regard to public policy. These facts should encourage governments to regularly evaluate the performance of their healthcare systems and create international comparisons. Many indicators are used to measure and evaluate performance of healthcare systems – e.g. those created by the WHO, Eurostat, or OECD Health Statistics and OECD Health Policy Studies. For our paper, data from the OECD Health Policy Studies was used as a primary source. V4 states were chosen for the evaluation of the performance of healthcare systems. The reasons for this are as follows: V4 countries are transitive economies of the CEE with a poorer state of health of their populations than in more developed countries of the OECD or EU; the given systems have long been underfi nanced; and reforms are focused exclusively on economic goals and lack a broader concept in terms of long-term sustainability. For the purposes of this paper, a composite indicator of the performance of healthcare systems was designed and includes ten variables for the studied ten-year period. In order to establish a comparison of the performance of healthcare systems, three methods were used to model them: (i) using the area of a radar chart, (ii) determining performance based on order, and (iii) determining performance based on distance from the reference unit. These three methods for determining the performance of healthcare systems allow us to compare the performance of healthcare systems in V4 countries specifi cally. The goals of this paper are as follows: compare and evaluate the performance of healthcare systems among V4 countries using selected indicators from the fi eld of healthcare and establish what position the Czech Republic’s healthcare system holds in comparison with other V4 countries.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the comparison of the past tense in Venezuela. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the use of past tenses in Spanish language, the creation, characteristic and function in the territory of Spain and Latin America. At the same time are mentioned some linguistic phenomenon of two previous past tenses. There are two chapters in the practical part. The first chapter is focused on the frequency of prototypical adverbs in connection with past tense in Venezuelan literature and press. The analysis is performed using the CREA and CORPES XXI corpuses. The second chapter is about the frequency of presence of past tense on internet blogs in Venezuela which is worked up through the corpus Araneum Hispanicum Maius.

This Bachelor thesis Internet memes in presidential elections deals with political internet memes in the USA in the period before the presidential elections in 2016. The thesis is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, memetics as academic discipline, is examined and the definitions of internet memes are listed. Next there are described related aspects of internet memes, like categorization, channels of spreading, reasons why internet memes are being spread and quality traits which make internet memes successful. The practical part tries to answer the question, which of the selected political internet memes are more successful, meaning which ones were more replicated and which quality traits have caused the success of them. For research purposes comparative analysis method was chosen.

The diploma thesis comprehensively presents the South Bohemian landscape, its geography, typology, geology, climate, historical specifics and landscape character and other characteristics. The South Bohemian landscape is briefly compared with the landscape of Austria. The main part of the work is the introduction of landscape of Netolicko and the evaluation of the landscape by the Ecovast method. In exercise of the subject "Landscape ecology and landscape care" the author synthesized the results of students and used for comparation of different landscapes by Ecovast method.

This thesis aims to identify the principles that managers use in their work. The work of Stephen Covey "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" is used as an object of research. Primarily, a Covey's claim that the 7 habits are universal and timeless is analyzed, in an effort to identify universal principles of effectivity and their relationship to management. All of the habits are paraphrased and compared to the work of other popular authors from the area of social sciences. Subsequently, a comparison between the 7 habits and historical development of organization theory and its lessons is conducted. Further along, a description of critical reflection of the 7 habits from five standpoints is presented: post-modern, feminism, critical pedagogy, non-functionalism and exclusive representation. Finally, the author of the thesis presents his personal experience with implementing the 7 habits in his professional and personal life. From the findings, this thesis comes to the conclusion that Covey's system of 7 habits is possibly a quality source of information when searching for universal principles of effectivity. At the same time, it warns that it is possible that the habits are only universally applicable within the scope of the time and background of western thinking they were developed in.
