In this paper, we study the following Kirchhoff-type problem with critical nonlinearity - a + b ∫ Ω | ∇ u | 2 d x Δ u = λ f (x) | u | p - 2 u + | u | 4 u , x ∈ Ω , u = 0 , x ∈ ∂ Ω , where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in R 3 , a > 0 is a constant, b , λ are positive parameters and 2 < p < 4 . Under different assumptions on the nonlinearity, the equation has been extensively considered in the case 4 < p < 6 . By contrast, there is no existence result of solutions for the case 2 < p < 4 since the appearance of the nonlocal term. By using some innovative analytical skills, we obtain the existence results about the sign-changing solutions of this problem. In this paper, we are concerned with the following Schrödinger-Poisson system with a critical nonlinearity and a critical nonlocal term due to the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality$ \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} -\Delta u +u +\lambda\phi|u|^3u = |u|^4u +|u|^{q-2}u, \ \ &\ x\in\mathbb{R}^3,\\ -\Delta\phi = |u|^5, \ \ &\ x\in\mathbb{R}^3, \end{cases} \end{equation*} $where $ \lambda\in \mathbb{R} $ is a parameter and $ q\in(2,6) $. In this paper, we study a double phase problem with both variable exponents. Such problem has a reaction consisting of a Carathéodory perturbation defined only locally and of a critical term. The presence of the critical term does not permit to use results of the critical point theory for the corresponding energy functional. Consequently, using suitable cut-off functions and truncation techniques we focus on an auxiliary coercive problem on which, differently from our main problem, we can act with variational tools. We study the optimal partition problem for the prescribed constant Q-curvature equation induced by the higher-order conformal operators under the effect of cohomogeneity one actions on Einstein manifolds with positive scalar curvature. This allows us to give a precise description of the solution domains and their boundaries in terms of the orbits of the action. We also prove the existence of least energy symmetric solutions to a weakly coupled elliptic system of prescribed Q-curvature equations under weaker assumptions and conclude a multiplicity result of sign-changing solutions to the prescribed constant Q-curvature problem induced by the Paneitz-Branson operator. Moreover, we study the coercivity of GJMS operators on Ricci solitons, compute the Q-curvature of these manifolds, and give a multiplicity result for the sign-changing solutions to the Yamabe problem with a prescribed number of nodal domains on the Koiso–Cao Ricci soliton. In this study, we investigate the existence of infinitely many radial sign-changing solutions with nodal properties for a class of Kirchhoff-type equations possessing non-odd nonlinearity. By combining variational methods and analysis techniques, we prove that for any positive integer k, the equation has a radial solution that changes signs exactly k times. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the energy of such solutions is an increasing function of k. Owing to the inherent characteristics of these equations, the methods used herein significantly differ from those used in the existing literature. In the present paper, we study the Hénon type parabolic equation $ \phi_t-\Delta \phi = |x|^\beta |\phi|^{\alpha-1}\phi, x\in\mathbb{R}^{N} $ with singular initial data $ \eta|x|^{-\frac{2+\beta}{\alpha-1}} $, where $ \eta, \beta>0, \alpha>1 $. We prove the existence of infinitely many sign-changing self-similar solutions by analyzing the related inverted profile equation for $ N\geq1 $. In this paper, based on a suitable fractional Trudinger–Moser inequality, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence result of least energy sign-changing solution for a class of one-dimensional nonlocal equations involving logarithmic and exponential nonlinearities. By using a main tool of constrained minimization in Nehari manifold and a quantitative deformation lemma, we consider both subcritical and critical exponential growths. In this paper, we consider the following quasilinear Kirchhoff–Schrödinger–Poisson system: { − (a + b ∫ R 3 | ∇ u | 2 d x) Δ u + V (x) u − 1 2 u Δ (u 2) + ϕ u = g (u) , x ∈ R 3 , − Δ ϕ = u 2 , x ∈ R 3 , where a, b are positive constants, V (x) is a smooth potential function and g is an appropriate nonlinear function. To overcome the technical difficulties caused by the quasilinear term, the perturbation method of adding 4-Laplacian operator is adapted to consider the perturbation problem, so that the corresponding functional has both smoothness and compactness in the appropriate space. Moreover, when g satisfies the appropriate hypotheses, a sign-changing solution u 0 of above problem can be obtained by taking advantage of constraint variational method, the quantitative deformation lemma and approximation technique, which has precisely two nodal domains. In this paper, the following new class of problems is studied where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in R N ( N ≥ 3 ), p ∈ C (Ω ¯) such that 2 ≤ p (x) < N for all x ∈ Ω ¯ , and a is C 1 real function. Without assuming the C 1 and the well-known Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz conditions on the reaction term f, we prove that problem P has a least-energy sign-changing weak solution. We investigate the following nonlinear system $ \begin{cases} -(a+ b\int _{\Omega}|\nabla u|^{2}dx)\Delta u+\phi u = \lambda u+\mu|u|^{2}u, \; \ x\in\Omega, \\ -\Delta\phi = u^{2}, \; \ x\in\Omega, \\ u = \phi = 0, \; \ x\in \partial\Omega, \end{cases} $ with $ a, b > 0 $, $ \lambda, \mu\in\mathbb{R} $, and $ \Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^{3} $ is bounded with smooth boundary. Let $ \lambda_{1} > 0 $ be the first eigenvalue of $ (-\Delta u, H^{1}_{0}(\Omega)) $. We get that for certain $ \widetilde{\mu} > 0 $ there exists at least one least energy sign-changing solution for the above system if $ \lambda < a\lambda_{1} $ and $ \mu > \widetilde{\mu} $. In addition, we remark that the nonlinearity $ \lambda u+\mu|u|^{2}u $ does not satisfy the growth conditions.

This paper focuses on a class of supercritical, quasi-linear Schrödinger equations. Based on the methods of invariant sets, some results about the existence and multiplicity of sign-changing solutions for supercritical equations are obtained.

In this paper, we investigate the existence of a least energy sign-changing solution for the following Schrödinger-Kirchhoff equation SK - (a + b ∫ R 3 | ∇ u | 2 d x) Δ u + V (x) u = f (x , u) , x ∈ R 3 , u ∈ H 1 (R 3) where a , b > 0 are parameters, V ∈ C (R 3 , R +) and f ∈ C (R 3 × R , R) . The potential function V satisfies some suitable conditions and the nonlinearity f satisfies mild assumptions. By using sign-changing Nehari manifold, we prove that this problem possesses a ground state sign-changing solution with precisely two nodal domains, and its energy is strictly larger than twice that of ground state solutions. In this paper we study the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the (p , q) -equation − Δ p u − Δ q u = f (x , u) in Ω , u = 0 on ∂ Ω , as p → 1 + , where N ≥ 2 , 1 < p < q < 1 ∗ ≔ N / (N − 1) and f is a Carathéodory function that grows superlinearly and subcritically. Based on a Nehari manifold treatment, we are able to prove that the (1 , q) -Laplace problem given by − div ∇ u | ∇ u | − Δ q u = f (x , u) in Ω , u = 0 on ∂ Ω , has at least two constant sign solutions and one sign-changing solution, whereby the sign-changing solution has least energy among all sign-changing solutions. Furthermore, the solutions belong to the usual Sobolev space W 0 1 , q (Ω) which is in contrast with the case of 1-Laplacian problems, where the solutions just belong to the space BV (Ω) of all functions of bounded variation. Combining Nehari manifold method with the quantitative deformation lemma, we prove that there exists $ \mu^{\ast} > 0 $ such that above problem has at least a least energy sign-changing (or nodal) solution if $ \lambda < a\lambda_{1} $ and $ \mu > \mu^{\ast} $, where $ \lambda_{1} > 0 $ is the first eigenvalue of $ (-\Delta u, H^{1}_{0}(\Omega)) $.
