Introduction. The purpose of this study is to identify principles and trends in the construction and architecture of cruise ports. Presently, Soviet-era seaport buildings fail to meet cruise tourism development requirements and current norms and standards applicable to this type of structures. Today Russian seaports are limited to solely one function, that is, transportation of passengers, whereas abroad such structures have been transformed into multifunctional complexes.Materials and methods. Theoretical analysis of scientific literature, graphic materials, and written sources were used. The research methods include systematic, spatial, and socio-functional approaches.Results. The article presents the history of formation of the architectural appearance and the functional purpose of cruise ports. It specifies principal requirements and design standards for similar structures, as well as their integration into the modern urban environment. The co-authors offer solutions to relevant problems, related to the architecture of seaport buildings in Russia, using a number of selected international design cases of multifunctional marine complexes.Conclusions. By transforming obsolete buildings of seaports multifunctional complexes, we end up with a new level of structures. The competent architectural planning structure will allow urban authorities to create interesting facilities that bring not only transport, but also commercial, recreational and social benefits to the city. The structure and architectural appearance of a cruise port must be designed with regard for contemporary design standards and encompass a wide range of functional, technical, urban planning, artistic and aesthetic requirements.

There has been growing interest in fuel supply chains regarding transport safety and LNG reloading. This is due to the increasing consumption of this gas in the economy to create sustainable transport systems. Poland is in the phase of energy transformation, which increases the demand for this type of alternative fuel. For this reason, the number of logistic operations carried out by Polish sea terminals handling LNG deliveries is increasing. This article aims to present a method for assessing the risk of adverse events occurring during the logistic handling of LNG deliveries at a port terminal and its implementation for a selected LNG terminal in Poland. Fuzzy logic methodology was used to assess the risk due to the lack of access to specific historical data on identified events. The conducted analysis considers the guidelines applicable at the LNG terminal, described in the Terminal Operation Manual, and the specific reloading conditions occurring in the tested Polish gas terminal. Based on the analysis conducted in cooperation with experts, scenarios of possible adverse events were identified and subjected to a risk assessment. This paper considers a problem of planning short term operations in a bulk terminal faced by port management when making tactical decisions. Ship loading and discharging, cargo stocking, the maintenance and service of facility equipment are regular operations of a bulk terminal which is a subsystem of a sea port the conduct of which is subject to difficult-to-predict or unforeseen influences. The problem that port management encounters in day to day operations looks into making the best possible plan with the scheduled duration of operations/states and transition instants, considering various internal and external factors influencing terminal performance. A state and transition model is used for deriving effective solutions to obtaining the state order and state transition time of a bulk terminal with an objective of minimizing operational costs. The behaviour of the terminal is tested applying the stochastic and deterministic method.
