This bachelor´s thesis deals with the legal awareness of Romani children from Český Krumlov and České Budějovice. The theoretical part of the thesis deals more with the concept of child, from several perspectives, children's rights and also legal awareness. In several chapters, I focus on the Roma minority, its history, culture and the upbringing of the Roma child as such. Another important part of the theoretical part are Methods and Techniques of Social Work with the Roma Minority, Social and Legal Protection of Children and Projects Focused on Legal Awareness. The aim of the thesis was to find out the situation of legal awareness of Romani children in Český Krumlov and České Budějovice. The method used a quantitative research strategy using the technique of a partially standardized tool of G. Melton - a questionnaire to determine legal awareness. The questionnaire contains general questions, model situations and the rights and obligations of children and adults from the perspective of children. 93 respondents from Český Krumlov and České budějovice took part in the research. The results were processed in SPSS 16.0. programme. Research has found that legal awareness increases in children as they grow older. The results can serve as information material for the public, for organization working with the Roma minority, or social workers.

Romi su tradicionalno nomadski narod podrijetlom iz Indije koji se brojnim migracijama, prouzrokovanih nepoznatim razlozima, prilagodio životu svih kultura u kojima se našao. Karakterizira ga izrazita nadarenost glazbom i drugim oblicima umjetnosti ali ga isto tako, još u većoj mjeri karakterizira siromaštvo i diskriminacija većinskog društva. Romi su se u velikoj mjeri sami doveli u položaj u kojem se nalaze zbog velikog broja neobrazovanog i nepismenog stanovništva. Većina Roma nedovoljno poznaje vlastitu kulturu, a značajan broj školovanih i integriranih Roma ne govori vlastiti materinji jezik, te gubi nacionalni identitet. Romi se trenutno nalaze u svojevrsnom krugu siromaštva u kojemu se nalaze zbog niskog stupnja obrazovanja, čemu su uzrok neadekvatni životni uvjeti, marginaliziranost i izoliranost koji su uzrokovani neimaštinom. Izlaz iz navedene situacije se može ostvariti jedino dugogodišnjim sustavnim obrazovanjem od najranije dobi i uspješnom integracijom u društvo, bez gubitka romskog nacionalnog identiteta. Roma people are traditionally nomadic nation originated from India, which adapted to every culture it found itself trough migrations caused by unknown reasons. Characteristics associated with this nation are exceptional ability in music and other art forms, but it is characterized even more by poverty and discrimination of the vast majority. Roma people have brought themselves in the position they are currently in, leading reason being a large number of uneducated and illiterate population. Most of the Roma people don't know its own respected culture, and a considerable amount of educated and integrated population doesn't speak their mother language, and by so is losing national identity. Roma people are currently trapped in some sort of poverty circle, the reason for that being low educational level caused by inadequate living terms, marginalization, and isolation which are caused by indigence. The way out of this situation is plausible trough long term system education starting from the earliest ages, and by successful integration into the society, without losing the Roma national identity.

Romani music and its incorporation into the school education is the theme of this thesis. The aim is to provide fundamental information about Romani culture and music and to inspire teachers to include multicultural and ethnic topics into their lessons. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part (first and second chapter) deals with Romani people and their value system, language and its pronunciation. It describes the main characteristics of traditional and contemporary Romani music, while a separate subchapter focuses on Czech songs about Romani people. The following practical part (third and fourth chapter) describes the use of Romani music for both, Romani and non-Romani, children. First, the projects Čhavorenge a Čhavorikano luma are presented, the aim of which is to remind Romani children of their traditional music and the values of their culture. The way of teaching Romani music at a selected elementary school with a large percentage of Romani students is also mentioned. The fourth chapter introduces the possibilities of using Romani music for non-Romani children. It includes songbooks, song collections and arrangements for children and student choirs. Finally, three thematic teaching blocks are presented, from which it is possible to draw inspiration in the lessons of Music...

U današnje vrijeme, kada je globalizacija zahvatila cijeli svijet i kada je interakcija među kulturama naša svakodnevica, potreban je znanstveno-praktični pristup koji se bavi odnosima među kulturama, čime možemo definirati interkulturalizam. Porastom zanimanja javnosti za te teme, suvremeni autori su počeli koristiti elemente interkulturalizma u svojim umjetničkim kreacijama. Hrvatski pisac Kristian Novak kroz društveno osjetljive teme diskriminacije i rasizma prikazuje „suživot“ različitih kultura u Hrvatskoj. Tema ovog rada je analiziranje elemenata interkulturalne komunikacije u njegova dva najpoznatija romana: „Črna mati zemla“ i „Ciganin ali najljepši“. Nowdays, when the process of globalization is a worldwide concept, and when we can say that culture interaction is our everyday life, we defined „interculturalism“ as a theoretical and practical approach to a relations between cultures. With a growth of public interest in those topis, also the Contemporary writers started using those topics in their creations. Croatian author Kristian Novak is using social responsive topics of discrimination and rasism to show coexistence of different cultures in Croatia. Primary goal of this paper is to analize elements of intercultural comunication in his two most popular novels: „Črna mati zemla“ and „Ciganin, ali najljepši“.

The bachelor thesis deals with factors affecting the choice of a high school for Romani pupils. The theoretical part defines the Romani nationality, characteristics of the Romani culture and a Romani pupil. Furthermore it describes the choice of a high school and relevant defined terms as choice of occupation and choice of further educational carrier. The given problematics includes results of several surveys made in the past. Factors affecting the pupil while choosing a high school and a given field of study follow from these surveys. The main aim of the theoretical part is to show the factors, which affect the pupil of the primary school while choosing the high school and in which way. Methods used to draw up the theoretical part are: study of special literal sources, pedagogic journals, creation of excerpts and their analysis, comparison any synthesis. The main aim of the practical part is to map factors affecting on the Romani pupils of primary schools while choosing the further educational carrier and in which way. Semi-structured interview with five informants is a method applied to draw up the practical part. Purposive sampling on typical cases is used. Informants are pupils of the ninth class of the primary schools, which take part in the project Tutoring in the Museum of Romani Culture. Data from interviews are evaluated by means of the open coding.

The bachelor work Roma Children in the Works of Bohumila Doleželová deals with the artist's works connected with this unusual subject. It explores the origins of this topic in her work, the main impulse and influences in her choice of the topic as well as her relationship to the Roma. The paper follows the development of the specificity of Doleželová's painting style and describes her subjects individually, in relation to Roma culture and traditions. It introduces this outstanding artistic persona whose works have not been fully critically appraised to this date.

The Bachelor Thesis looks into the cultural identity of a Romany child in foster care in the so-called majority family. The theoretical part of my thesis is focused on foster care topic, and does not neglect any failure, problems or trauma that children bring into foster families from their previous life. It also describes basic terms of the mentioned issue, such as human race, ethnic group, culture, identity, role and status. The practical part deals with the analysis of interviews with the foster parents and seeks to answer the research question: What circumstances (categories) affect a Romany child in foster families from the majority society during the process of adaptation into a family and social integration?

This work deals with the research quality of life of Roma aged 10-15 years in the České Budějovice. The theoretical section explains the concept of quality of life, it's development and the evaluation. It also describes the history of the Roma ethnic group from the beginning of the Roma migration from Europe to the modern history. This study further describes the Roma culture, the differences between female and male roles in their particle culture, analyzes of the Roma minority and their role in the European Union. The practical part of this study is focused on studying the physical, the mental, the social and the emotional status of the Roma respondents in the age group 10-15 years. This questionnaire survey confirmed the results of the National report on the health of the Roma population in the age group 10-15.

Bachelor thesis of "Leisure time activities Roma children in Tabor" is about the leisure activities of Roma children in Tabor. The work is focused on the history of the Roma, the relationship of the Roma child to the school, the relationship of the Roma minority to upbringing of Roma children. For the most part is dedicated to the non-State non-profit organizations, which are engaged in leisure activities not only for Roma children in Tabor. Further focuses on the Organization of the 1. Kiwajunior Club Camp, and especially on its Fílie project, which is aimed at children from socio-culturally disadvantaged environment, from the children's home Radenín, children from Asylum House for women and mothers with children in Tabor, and thus prevention of pathological phenomena. With the boy, who is involved in the Fília project, case study has been developed. The practical part is focused on the specific ways of spending leisure time activities of Roma children in Tabor, with whom and where leisure time activities they spend, whether leisure time activities the Roma children spend with family or friends, as they represent leisure time activities, whether there are whiles, when are bored.

V pričujoči diplomski nalogi obravnavamo romske učence, s posebnim poudarkom na romskih učencih v Osnovni šoli Kuzma in romskih učencih v Prekmurju, ki so vključeni v projekt Dvig socialnega in kulturnega kapitala v okoljih, kjer živijo predstavniki romske skupnosti. V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge smo predstavili Rome kot posebno etnično skupino in predstavili njihovo kulturo, predvsem pa so nas zanimali Romi v Prekmurju. Posebej smo se osredotočili na romske učence v osnovni šoli. Pregledali smo zakonske akte, navodila in strategije osnovnošolske zakonodaje za romske učence, predstavili dejavnike, ki vplivajo na učno (ne)uspešnost romskih učencev in se osredotočili na različne oblike učne pomoči, ki jih izvajajo šole. V empiričnem delu je predstavljena raziskava, ki zajema študijo primera, kot raziskovalni tehniki sta bila uporabljena intervju in anketni vprašalnik. Predstavljeni so štirje romski učenci, ki so vključeni v osnovnošolsko izobraževanje. Prikazana stališča strokovnih delavcev omenjene šole, stališča romskih staršev o izobraževanju njihovih otrok ter stališča, želje in načrti za prihodnost romskih učencev. Namen in cilj empiričnega dela je tako prikazati, povezati in primerjati stališča vseh pomembnih subjektov, ki so kakorkoli vključeni v proces vzgoje in izobraževanja Romov. Študija primera razkrije konkretne težave romskih učencev kot so poglobljene težave pri slovenskem jeziku, matematiki in tujih jezikih. V nadaljevanju ugotavljamo, da strokovni delavci šole pri romskih učencih navajajo sledeče vzroke za učne težave: slab šolski obisk, slabe učne navade in nespodbudno okolje ter poudarjajo, da so individualne oblike dela tiste, ki omogočajo boljše vzgojno-učne rezultate teh učencev. Na drugi strani starši opozarjajo, da niso preveč zadovoljni z dosežki svojih otrok in kot vzroke za učne težave navajajo slabo motivacijo za šolsko delo in premalo vloženega truda. Izkazalo se je, da ti starši svojim otrokom pri šolskem delu ne pomagajo bodisi, ker ne znajo, ali pa, ker menijo, da mora otrok delati sam. Analiza odnosa staršev in strokovnih delavcev šole je pokazala, da imajo le-ti dober, odnos strokovni delavci pa dodajajo, da pri teh starših pogrešajo iniciativnost. Vsi omenjeni so z izvajanjem učne pomoči na domu zadovoljni in poudarjajo, da le-ta prinaša napredek v boljšem razumevanju učne snovi, opravljenih domačih nalogah in tudi v boljših šolskih ocenah. This diploma work investigates Roma pupils with special focus on those attending primary school Kuzma and those Roma pupils in Prekmurje region, who are a part of the project The Rise of Social and Cultural Capital in the Environments with Representatives of Roma Communities. Theoretical part of this work presents the Roma as an individual ethnical group and investigates their culture, while the main focus is put on the Roma primary school population in the Prekmurje region. We reviewed legal documents, instructions and strategies of the primary school Roma legislation, presented factors which influence the learning (in)efficiency of the Roma children and focused on various forms of learning assistance, organized by schools. The empirical part presents a research with the case study, where we used an interview and a questionnaire as research methods. It presents four Roma pupils who are a part of the primary school education. It also presents points of view of professional staff of the mentioned school, viewpoints of Roma parents about education of their children and standpoints, wishes and plans for the future of Roma pupils. Purpose and goal of the empirical part is to present, link and compare the standpoints of all important subjects who are included in the process of Roma education one way or another. Case study reveals concrete problems of Roma children, such as great difficulties with Slovenian language, mathematics and foreign languages. Further on we discover that professional school staff alleges the following causes of learning problems: skipping school, bad learning habits and non-stimulative environment. They emphasize that individual ways of work are those that enable better pedagogical and learning results of these children. On the other hand parents emphasize how they are not satisfied with achievements of their children and as main causes of their learning problems indicate bad motivation for school work and not enough effort put in the work itself. It turned out that these parents do not help their children with learning, either because they do not know how to help them or because they think the child must work alone. Analysis of relationship between parents and professional school staff revealed that it is satisfactory, while representatives of the professional staff expose how they miss parents’ initiative. All mentioned groups are satisfied with learning assistance at home and they emphasize how it brings incredible progress in doing homework, understanding new learning material and getting better school grades.

This work deals with current problems of Czech society. People living on the margins of society, is often denied access to quality education and employment, which could increase the possibility of reintegration back into society. In one of the groups most affected or at risk of social exclusion are seen for a long time members of Roma communities. The Czech Republic is in the field of social inclusion is often criticized for its passive approach to dealing with excluded Roma localities. Weight of the problem is determined not only by its scope, but also impacts the cost, number of people and sites that interferes. Overcoming social exclusion, which means the position outside the main social and economic dynamics of the country means a return to the process of integration and assimilation and the social structure of Czech society, including social, economic and cultural skills in the dynamics and structure to maintain and manage the necessary competencies and patterns of life manner, in particular its anchoring to education, employment and wages. The first part is devoted to explanation of terms and historical background of development of Roma ethnicity in this country. Mapping is an approach to the Roma to the present. The next chapter deals with the rights and obligations of all citizens of the Czech Republic, development and current legal anchoring of national minorities in the Czech Republic. The last chapter looks at the question of assimilation and integration in the present scale. Roma citizens living in the Czech Republic must assimilate at least as regards compliance with laws, rights and obligations as well as any other citizen of the Czech Republic.

This theses deals with and identity of young Romanies. About its devepolment, meaning and importance when searching for oneself. To understand the significance of finding the Romanien youth´s identity, it is essential to get familiar with their culture, traditions, way of life etc. The practical part puts the theoretical knowledge into practice through preparation and realization of the project ?From India to Czech Krumlov?.

Etnična skupina Romov se je skozi zgodovino naselila povsod po svetu, tudi pri nas, v Republiki Sloveniji. Romi predstavljajo posebno družbeno skupino, ki zaradi svojega jezika, drugačnega načina življenja in socialne diskriminiranosti pogosto živi na robu slovenske družbe. Največ Romov živi v Prekmurju, na Dolenjskem, v Beli krajini in Posavju ter na Gorenjskem (Sinti). V večjih mestih (Maribor, Ljubljana) živijo neavtohtoni Romi romski priseljenci, ki so prišli iz držav bivše Jugoslavije. V okviru romske skupnosti obstajajo velike razlike v načinu življenja in življenjskem standardu, zato je pri ocenjevanju njihovega položaja treba upoštevati razmere na posameznih območjih. Romske družine pri nas se razlikujejo med seboj v načinu življenja, navadah, jeziku in veroizpovedi, glede na območje, kjer živijo. Naš cilj je bil raziskati etnično skupino Romov in podrobneje preučiti romske družine v Sloveniji, predvsem na območju Murske Sobote, Dolenjske in Maribora. Osredotočili smo se na splošne značilnosti njihovega načina življenja, kot so jezik, izobraževanje, zaposlovanje in družbeni položaj. Rezultati so pokazali, da so romskim družinam, ne glede na območje bivanja, nekatere značilnosti skupne, v nekaterih vidikih pa se razlikujejo. Za splošno izboljšanje njihovega položaja in življenjskega standarda je poleg pozitivnih ukrepov slovenske države potrebno, da se Romi sami organizirajo in začenjajo razvijati svoje lastno politično in kulturno življenje. An ethnic group Roma has settled throughout history all around the world, including Slovenia. Roma are a special social group which often lives on the edge of the Slovene society because of their language, different life-style and social discrimination. Majority lives in Prekmurje, Lower Carniola, Bela krajina, Posavje and Gorenjska (Sinti). In bigger cities (Maribor, Ljubljana) live non-autochthon Roma- immigrants from the republics of former Yugoslavia. There are large differences in the life and life standard of Roma community so when evaluating their situation circumstances in individual areas have to be taken into consideration. Gipsy families in Slovenia differ in the life-style, habits, language and religion depending in which area they live. Our aim was to research ethnical group of Roma and to study more precisely Roma families in Slovenia, especially in the area of Murska Sobota, Lower Carniola and Maribor. We have focused on general characteristics of their life-style, such as language, education, employment and social status. Results have shown that no matter where Roma families live, some of the characteristics are the same and some differ. For the general improvement of their status and life standard it is necessary, beside positive measures of the republic of Slovenia, that Roma organize by themselves and start to develop their own political and cultural life.

Bachelor´s thesis deals with the importance of Romany culture, family, formal and informal environment for upbringing and educating Romany children. In the theoretical part there is first introduced Romany culture as the base of upbringing and educating Romany children. There is also covered raising in Romany family, for example what it means to bring up a child to being Roma and what the differences are between upbringing and educating in Romany family and in majority society. Then the thesis discusses formal educating mainly in kindergarten and primary school, it also deals with the role of teacher, achievements of Romany pupils and tools which make their position better. I used an example of the Community centre for children and youth Cheiron T in Tábor to demonstrate the influence of environment which is outside the family and school. In the practical part there are expressed the views of community and social workers of Cheiron T. The main purpose of my bachelor´s thesis is to find out Romany children´s attitude and motivation to education - how they are influenced by culture, family, school and community centre which they attend. The practical part ends with presentation and interpretation of children´s interviews. At the end of my bachelor´s thesis there is a comparison of children and community workers opinions and my practical experience with the opinions I have found in the literature.

The thesis deals with the relations between the Gypsies and the majority of companies. Briefly describes the history of Gypsies in the world and in our country, explores key points in history, when they first appear splits between the majority and the Gypsies minority. It also describes possible partial solution to this problem in multicultural education and awareness among the Roma and the majority society. There is mention of a key idea that a large part of the conflict between the two companies stems from a mutual lack of understanding of both cultures. The practical part deals with the attitudes and relationships of the majority of the Roma, which is directly experienced in every day life.

This thesis deals with an identity of young Romanies. About its development, meaning and importance when searching for oneself. To understand the significance of finding the Romanian youth´s identity, it is essential to get familiar with their culture, traditions, way of life etc. In the theoretical part it is possible to find the topic of personal development with relation to free time, its importance with creating a personality and educational methods applied to working with Romanian youth coming out of {\clq}qgood experience``. The practical part focuses on fieldwork. The research is a verification of hypotheses that were set at the beginning of the work. The next part of the research are new facts that have been found by the author during the realization of the research in fieldwork. This work is supposed to provide an educationalist a complex view of the problems connected with the identity development of the Romanian identity.

The theses is about integration of the Romany children and youth who attend the Milíč's House centre in Jaroměř and the Střelka centre in Dvůr Králové nad Labem. It is divided in three main parts. The first is about problems of integration and coexistence of the majority society with minorities. The second part describes the Romany history, origin, culture, values and traditional habits. There is more about the Romany family life, access to education or religion, different mentalitity and special characteristics as well. The third part is about brief history, structure of working and analysis of activities of the Milíč's House centre in Jaroměř and Sřelka centre in Dvůr Králové nad Labem. There are also results how the centres contribute to integration of the Romany youth mentioned in this part which were taken from the talks held with the staff of both centres.

In my thesis I focused on a group of heavily-adaptable Roma citizens. This group was defined as a group with elementary education who are unemployed and depending on the goverment assistance and aid. They receive government social welfare. The last criterion in stipulating the definition was that they lived socially separated on the edge of the society. Their lifestyle reflects their social status and has a huge impact on their health conditions of heavily-adaptable Roma citizens. The goals of my thesis were to find out specifications of health care of healthy and ill heavily-adaptable Roma Citizen, and to work out some standards and some structure for educetional principles. In the course of my research I focuseld on finding the factors that influence the work of nurses with the heavily-adaptable Roma citizens.

The work deals with the help of the SaSM {--} DDM in České Budějovice during integration of gypsy children that are attending this facility. It is consisted of two main parts. The first one reveals the history of Gypsies, their origins, migration, their arrival to the Czech Republic and the evolution they have come through in the Czech Republic. Also gypsy culture, traditional customs and the differences between their upbringing and education in contrast to the major society. The second part of the work shortly describes the history of SaSM {--} DDM CB and the structure of the offered programme. It is focused on the gypsy section and the contribution of the activities it contains for the children that attend the centre. The information from interwiews with the workers in the centre and also from the questionaries that were the children given to fill in are stated in this part. The help of the centre during the integration of children is focused on fixing the positive approach to an education, emphasizing of important values, increasing their confidence and also on the fact that by means of the centre programmes the children gain positive experience with the major society.

Following from its title, this diploma work discusses Gipsy culture and traditions, especially maps the level of knowledge comparing Gipsy and non-Gipsy inhabitants in the town of Tabor. The choice of the topic proceeds from a widely known fact involving the problematic common life of those too much different groups. Many members of the majority do not have any awareness of Gipsies being a specific group of inhabitants, having their own culture and traditions. On the other hand, the traditional life of the Gipsies has changed at all,rather has declined, especially in the field of language.Both these points of view may play an important role in one another understanding of the Gipsies and the majority. The target of my work was to map the knowledge of the Gipsy culture and traditions by the Gipsy commune and, as well, to map the knowledge of the majority. Within the framework of this, two main hypothesises were determined. The first main hypothesis assumed that the Gipsy commune in Tabor hadn´t known its tradition and culture any more. The second main hypothesis assumed that the majority hadn´t known the Gipsy tradition and culture. These two hypothesises weren´t proved because the decisive part of questioned people( both Gipsy and non-Gipsy) had known at least one element of Gipsy culture and tradition. Another important investigation was made in my work.They are specified in details in the part {\clqq}Discussion`` of my work. In consideration of the fact that nobody has ever occupied with this problem in the area of the town of Tabor, I suppose, that the points of my work may be useful for organizations that provide service for the Gipsy commune in Tabor.To make it possible, I am going to present my work on the web page of the town of Tabor.
