The aim of this study is to determine the reasons for joining to religious groups and their views on the cult and community environments. In this study, qualitative research method and semi-structured interview form were used. The main problem of the research is the question of how the members of sects and congregations view these groups in the context of the reasons for their participation in these groups. In line with this problem, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 24 women and 13 men from the Naqshbandi, Qadiri order and the Nur Community. According to the results of the study, the reasons for joining such religious groups can be listed as the influence of the primary social environment such as family elders, friends, neighbors or close relatives, the influence of charismatic religious group leaders and the activities of existing communities for individuals within the immediate environment. In the context of these reasons, it can be said that the participants evaluate religious order and community environments in a positive way and see these environments as places where warm, sincere, spiritual desires and feelings are satisfied. Starting in 2011, the so-called "Arab Spring" led to an internal conflict in Syria. As a result of the civil conflict, millions of people had to leave their country. Turkey undoubtedly ranked first among the countries affected by the migration. Migration is not just a simple population movement. With migration, many problems and a way of life are carried to new settlements. Therefore, problems arise that may cause tension between the local people and the immigrant population, which need to be solved in various issues ranging from economy, culture, education to social life. The elimination of these problems is of utmost importance for social peace and integration. At this stage, religion and religion-based non-governmental organisations play important roles. Religious groups, which can be considered as non-governmental organisations because they are independent from the state and based on the principle of voluntariness, are human unity with similar goals and norms, where there is both material and spiritual solidarity between them and warm, close relationships are observed. Religious groups do not have a monolithic appearance. They can be categorised differently within themselves. One of the types of religious groups is orders. One of these orders is the Haznevî order, which belongs to the Khalidi branch of Naqshbandism. This article focuses on the role of Haznevî order in the integration process of Syrian asylum seekers in Turkey into Turkish society. In this qualitative study, data were obtained through interview technique. The data subjected to content analysis were categorised and interpreted. The article, which draws attention to the importance of religion and religious groups in cultural integration, is expected to contribute to the scientific perspective on the issue. Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, çeşitli açılardan değişen ve dönüşen yaşam koşullarının, herhangi bir dini grupla bağı olan ve kendisini dindar olarak tanımlayan gençlerin aile algısında meydana getirmiş olduğu değişimi ortaya çıkarmaya çalışmaktır. Bundan dolayı katılımcıların dindarlıkları test edilmemiştir, sadece evlilik ve aile konusundaki fikirlerinin ortaya koyulması amaçlanmıştır. Amaç dikkate alınarak araştırmaya herhangi bir dini grupta yetişen veya ilişkisi olan (veya dini grupla bağlantısı olan) ve dindar bir kimliğinin olduğunu kabul eden katılımcılar dâhil edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda dindarlıkları göz önünde bulundurularak nasıl bir evlilik ve eş istedikleri, nasıl bir aile kurmak istedikleri saptanmaya çalışılmış ve elde edilen sonuçlar, İslam dininin bazı kabulleri dikkate alınarak sosyolojik olarak çeşitli açılardan tartışılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Afyonkarahisar İli’nde herhangi bir dini grupla irtibatı olan ve kendisini dindar olarak tanımlayan, 17-29 yaş aralığındaki 125 kadın, 125 erkek olmak üzere toplam 250 genç oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan anketler katılımcılara ulaştırılmış ve sonuçlar bilimsel bir şekilde analiz edilerek kullanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda; kendisini dindar olarak tanımlayan katılımcıların büyük bir çoğunluğunun din-gelenek ve modernlik üçgeninde sıkışıp kaldığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan katılımcıların büyük çoğunluğu, üniversite gençlerinden oluşmaktadır. Dolayısıyla gençlerin üniversitelerde katılmış oldukları her yeni ortam, onların duygu, düşünce ve davranışlarında da bir değişimi de beraberinde getirmektedir. Üniversite ortamı, gençlere daha geniş kapsamlı ve çok yönlü bir ortamda sosyalleşebilme imkânı sağlamaktadır. Her üniversite gencinin belli bir habitusu bulunmaktadır ve katıldığı her alanda sahip olduğu, sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik ve sembolik sermayesini kullanmaktadır. Fakat gençler, girdikleri alanın (oyunun) kurallarına göre sahip olduğu sermaye ile bir çatışmaya girebilmekte ve sorgulayabilmektedir. Daha da ötesi sahip olduğu sermayesinden taviz vermeyi bile göze alarak herkes gibi bir yaşam sürmeye çalışabilmektedir. Çalışmamıza katılan katılımcıların büyük bir kısmının, Janmohammed (2018) tarafından kaleme alınan “M Nesli Yeni Müslüman Gençlik” kitabında belirtilen gençlik tipi ile benzerlikleri bulunduğu söylenebilir. Kitapta belirtilen M Nesli, hem pop müzik dinleyen, hem dans eden, hem yırtık pantolon giyen, hem namaz kılıp oruç tutan bir gençliktir. Hem batı kültürünü (özellikle giyim kuşamda) hem de kendi İslami değerlerini bir arada yaşayan bir gençliktir. Yani her iki kültürden de izler taşımaktadır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular neticesinde araştırmaya katılan katılımcıların çoğunluğunun da M Nesli’ne doğru evrildiğini söylemek yanlış olmayacaktır. Örneğin, çalışmadan elde edilen veriler neticesinde katılımcıların % 6,0 oranında eş cinsel evlilikleri normal karşıladıkları tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen en çarpıcı sonuç ise “eşcinsel evlilikler hakkında ne düşünüyorsunuz? şeklinde sorduğumuz soruya yönelik almış olduğumuz cevaplar olmuştur. Bu soruya kadın katılımcıların, %85,6’sı (107) “doğru bulmuyorum, % 9,6’sı (12) “saygı duyulmalı”, %4,0’ı (5) “fikrim yok”, % 0,8’i (1) “diğer” şeklinde cevaplar vermişlerdir. Erkek katılımcıların ise %92,0’ı (115) “doğru bulmuyorum”, %2,4’ü (3) “saygı duyulmalı”, %2,4’ü (3) “fikrim yok”, %3,2’si (4) “diğer” şeklinde cevaplar vermişlerdir. İslam’ın eşcinsellik meselesine bakışı tartışmaya mahal bırakmayacak biçimde olumsuzdur. Ancak kendisini dindar olarak tanımlayan gençlerin % 6’sının eşcinsel evliliğe saygı duyması, üzerinde düşünülmesi ve araştırılması gereken bir konu olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmadaki amaç, M Nesli’ni veya görüşülen kesimin eleştirilmesinden ziyade ortada olan bir değişimi ve neticesinde oluşan karma ve yeni kimlik tiplerinin olduğunu ortaya koymak olmuştur. Başka bir ifadeyle olgunun, durum tespitinin yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmadan genel olarak elde edilen veriler, aile kurumunun önemini koruduğunu göstermektedir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar, aile hayatı kurma isteğinin ve ebeveyn olma heyecanının tam anlamıyla yitirilmediğini göstermektedir. Evliliğe uzak duran katılımcıların %48,0’ı çalışmadığını, %38,0’ı ise çoğunlukla öğrenci olduklarını ve bu tür nedenlerden dolayı evlenmeye ve aile kurmaya sıcak bakmadıklarını dile getirmektedirler. Özellikle ekonomik anlamda bir bağımsızlıkları olmadığı için evliliğe uzak duran gençlerin bu ve buna benzer sorunları çözüldüğünde fikirlerinin değişebileceğini söylemek mümkündür. Bunun yanı sıra aile kurumuna yönelik algı ve önemin önemli bir dönüşüm içerisinde olduğu gerçeği de göz ardı edilmemelidir.

This paper deals with the impact of the ethnic group of the Iraqi population on political stability after the change in the system of government in 2003 due to the importance of this structure in the power of the state. The study showed that Iraq includes a group of national and religious ethnicities, and that there is a peaceful coexistence between them. It fulfills all its aspirations, and these ethnicities have an extension with neighboring countries that contributed to external interference and posed a threat to political stability, which necessitates work to solve ethnic problems in Iraq through the formation of permanent committees in the House of Representatives and the political participation of all those ethnicities. The application of administrative decentralization, comprehensive and sustainable development Conducting an accurate population census, spreading the culture and arts of all components of the Iraqi people, and confronting the plans of Western countries and Salafi currents to consecrate the spirit of national, religious and sectarian division with the sole Iraqi discourse in a manner that guarantees the interest of Iraq and the Iraqi people with all its components. Din sosyolojisinin temel ilgi alanlarından birisini dinî gruplar oluşturmaktadır. Dinî grupları, sosyal grupların bir alt başlığı olarak ele almak mümkündür. Dinî gruplarla ilgili olarak oluşturulan tipolojiler ise, dinî gruplar arasındaki farkları belirterek yapılan tasniflerdir. Max Weber, dinî grup incelemelerinde bir tipoloji geliştiren ilk sosyologdur. Weber’in tipolojisinde iki yapı ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bunlar farklı şekillerde tanımlanabilen kilise ve mezheptir. Özellikle Weber’in dinî gruplar tasnifi Batı ile sınırlı kalmış, bu yüzden dinî grup tipolojileri genellikle kilise kavramını merkeze almıştır. Bu açıdan sosyolojik olarak kilise, kendisini gerçeğin tek temsilcisi olarak kabul eden dinî örgütler için kullanılagelmiştir. Böyle bir yaklaşım temel kabul edildiği için İslamiyet ve diğer dinleri açıklamada, geliştirilen tipolojiler yetersiz kalmıştır. Bu yüzden yakın dönemde yeni dinî grup tipolojileri geliştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çerçevede kilise ve mezhebin dışında kült, denomination, yeni dinî hareketler (YDH), tarîkat ve cemaat gibi kavramlar geliştirilmiştir. Bu makalede dinî gruplarla ilgili tipolojiler incelenmiş ve tarîkatlar sosyal fonksiyonları bakımından ele alınmıştır. Eğitim, ekonomi ve siyaset açısından sağladıkları katkılar da bu çerçevede değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç itibariyle tarîkatların toplumsal yaşam koşullarına karşı bir cevap oluşturduklarını söylemek mümkündür.

Unlike during the Ming dynasty, the political situation in northern Asia became comparatively stable during the Qing dynasty, leading to the development of a considerable commercial network, with Guihua City being an important node of this network. Within the city, guilds, called hang or she and organized by Shanxi merchants, formed the core of local society. Previous research has largely depended on local gazetteers or oral records to analyze these merchants, and has only been able to provide a piece of the complete picture. However, utilizing the inscriptions on stone tablets found within the city, my research reexamines the relationships between these guilds through social network analysis. This article is comprised of three parts. The first clarifies the characteristics of hang and she, as well as how these guilds encompassed religious activities. Second, I reestablish the social networks between these groups and evaluate merchant donations to temples, placing these practices into observable, quantifiable conceptions such as "religious groups" or "interactional points". In the final section, I present the shifts in commercial activities in Guihua City by comparing the interactions between these guilds in different time periods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Family reactions and assessments of all family members towards family members belonging to specific religious groups still occur. This interpretation can trigger disharmony in the family and is an interesting social phenomenon to research. This research uses a qualitative research method. This research assumes that empirical realities occur in a socio-cultural context that is interrelated with one another. This research aims to describe family reactions, family social relationships, and family assessments on their family members’ involvement in specific religious groups. The informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique by taking three people from each religious group (Jamaah Tabligh, Wahdah Islamiyah, and Lembaga Dakwah Islam Indonesia known as LDII). Data were collected using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that family social relations on family members’ involvement in certain religious groups tended to get the same reaction based on their interpretation. Contravention interpretation from dominant family on family members belonging to specific religious groups still occurs compared with accommodative relationships. Meanwhile, family assessments on their family members’ involvement in certain religious groups are generally negative.

This paper focuses on determining the primary meanings and functions of selected rituals in the life of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi order. The theoretical component explores key terms and concepts relating to the meanings and functions of ritual, rites of passage, and the role of ritual in religion. In the practical component of the thesis, a particular religious group is discussed in the broader context of Sufism and the Naqshbandi order. The present-day situation is principally described in relation to the Sufi centre in Germany Osmanische Herberge, where the long-term field research was conducted. Selected rituals explored in the research include the initiation ceremony bajca, rites of recollection dhikr and hadra, and the wedding ceremony. In each case, the fundamental meanings and functions of each ritual for the group are analysed.

Diyarbakır Bible Community (Evangelical Diyarbakır Church) is a Christian religious group that has appeared in Diyarbakır in the last thirty years. The Diyarbakır Bible Community, whose core staff was formed by the activities of Western missionaries, is now organized as a completely local church. The dynamics that enabled Muslims to convert to Protestant Christianity in Diyarbakır are not homogeneous. The community is not officially recognized as a religious minority but is informally treated as a faith group. The sense that they are being discriminated against in the official and civic sphere is common among community members. The social and economic positions of church members do not differ significantly with their social environment. Although the Diyarbakır Bible Community's understanding of religion and religiosity is partially affected by local culture and environmental conditions, it is mostly shaped according to the teachings of the Plymouth Brethren Church of Protestantism. Evangelical Diyarbakır Church accepts missionary activities as a religious duty that must be fulfilled. Their beliefs about eschatology are based on the Bible. Church members' expectations for the future are optimistic.
