Na spletu so dostopne mnoge storitve, ki omogočajo napredne prostorske analize, a so le te pomankljive, omejene ali pa se ponujajo v obliki programske opreme. S spletno storitvijo GeoTools prostorske analize iz različnih virov povežemo v eno samostojno celoto. GeoTools vsebuje module iz knjižnice GeoPandas, QGIS in PostGIS. Storitev ima implementiran tudi cevovod prostorskih analiz, kar pomeni, da lahko zaporedoma opravi več želenih analiz. GeoTools uporabniku, predvsem programerju, olajša implementacijo prostorskih analiz v projektih. Za lažjo uporabo smo razvili NPM knjižnico, ki se povezuje na storitev in vsakomur omogoči enostaven dostop do njenih funkcionalnosti. NPM knjižnica vsebuje tudi enostaven grafični vmesnik, ki s pomočjo knjižnice OpenLayers omogoči uporabniku, da svoje vhodne in izhodne podatke tudi prikaže na spletni karti. There are many services available online that enable advanced spatial analysis, but most of them are flawed, limited, or offered as software. With the online service GeoTools, we connect spatial analyzes from various sources into one independent application. GeoTools contains modules from the libraries GeoPandas, QGIS and PostGIS. The service also has an implemented pipeline of spatial analyzes, which means that it can perform several desired analyzes in a row. GeoTools makes it easier for the user, especially the programmer, to implement spatial analyzes in their projects. To make it easier to use, we have developed an NPM library that connects to the service and gives everyone easy access to its functionality. The NPM library also contains a simple graphical interface that, with the help of the OpenLayers library, enables the user to display their input and output data on a web map.

Algoritem samodejnega prepoznavanja kraških kotanj deluje na podlagi digitalnega modela reliefa (DMR) in večinoma temelji na analizah s premikajočim se lokalnim oknom velikosti 3 x 3 celice. Razdeljen je na štiri dele: računanje porečij, omejevanje kotanj, omejevanje kotanj višjega reda in izločanje nekraških kotanj. Jedro izdelanega algoritma je, da so kotanje omejene z višino najnižje robne celice porečja. Kotanje višjega reda pa so prepoznane z algoritmom zalivanja predhodno prepoznanih kotanj. Uspešnost algoritma je bila preizkušena na testnem območju Krasa na DMR-jih s prostorsko ločljivostjo 12,5 metra in 3 metre. Pokazalo se je, da so rezultati precej odvisni od več lastnosti in kakovosti DMR-ja, predvsem od prostorske ločljivosti ; An algorithm of automated karst depression recognition uses a digital terrain model (DTM) and mainly applies the methods of a moving window with a kernel size of 3 × 3 cells using focal functions. The purpose of this paper is a description of development of the automated methods for determination and analysis of peaks and shapes as the upper part of the rising ground. The determination of local peaks by means of the digital terrain model (DTM) on the basisof a moving window of 3 by 3 grid cell analysis is facilitated by almost each software for raster-based data analysis. The definition of characteristic peaks, which are subjectively determined by mountaineers according to topographical, geomorphological andmountaineering criteria, is a more important problem. The topographical and geomorphological criteria were handled with automated algorithms. The points and potential surfaces of the peaks were calculated. From the potential surfaces the shapes of sharp, blunt, oblong and conical peaks were identified. The number andlocations of the peaks determined by automatic methods do not differ against the reference data more than the various subjective human-based methods differentiate among each other. The advantages of theautomated approach are that the parameters are standardised and the results more comparative, more objective, and therefore of higher quality. The study area was the Kamnik Alps and the data of the DTMof Slovenia with a resolution of 12.5, 25 and 100 m, respectively.

Prostor je nujen kot zrak, ki ga dihamo, je prostor na katerem stojimo in po katerem hodimo ter se premikamo. Človek je s prostorom, je del prostora in ne more biti odsoten iz prostora. Če obstajamo, moramo biti nekje, to pa pomeni, da moramo biti z določenim prostorom. Prostor nas vedno obdaja. Živimo s prostorom, z njim smo v določenih razmerjih z ljudmi in z njim umremo. Članek prikazuje znotraj tega konteksta številne probleme, ki izhajajo iz analitičnega pristopa k vrednotenju različnih pomenov prostora.

Agricultural land is an important resource for the society, where many interest for land use meet. Preservation of the agricultural land and its improvement, different functions, spatial exposition as well as land plot structure are regulated by different laws. Unfavourable land plot structure is often considered as a problem for suitable management of agricultural land. An important approach to solving this problem is the land rearrangement tool called land consolidation. Agricultural land rearrangement within the land consolidation procedure includes agricultural land appraisal, which is the most delicate and the most demanding part of land consolidation works. The present paper provides an overview of a standard land appraisal methodology implemented in the land consolidation procedure in Serbia, with an additional overview of the possibility to use different geo-data sources and spatial data analyses for valuating agricultural land during the land consolidation process. 9. UPORABA TEORIJE BREZLESTVIČNIH OMREŽIJ PRI MODELIRANJU OMREŽIJ KRAJINSKIH ESTETSKIH VREDNOT NA URBANIH OBMOČJIH.

- Abstract
The main aim of the research was to create models of landscape aesthetic network, to determine the character of those networks and to give a proposition of usefulness of the proposed modeling approach in the urban area. Landscape aesthetic value data which was necessary to create network models was collected using the method which is appropriate to urban areas. Models of aesthetic landscape networks were drawn on the basis of six ways of linking values: the maximal increase in value, the minimal increase in value, the maximal decrease in value, the minimal decrease in value, the maximal difference in value and the minimal difference in value. The distribution of nodes and links showed that the networks were scale-free. This empirical statement gives scientific basis to perform simulations of the changes in their structures, which in turn allows modeling certain behaviors of the system. While identifying the developed network models of landscape value as scale-free, the author identifies their nodes and centers, and simulates changes that occur in a given model as a result of removing chosen nodes, centers and elevating certain nodes to the rank of centers. Simulations show what kind of action can be taken to optimize the organization of the urbanized area, both for the development of tourism and other functions of the space. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

An algorithm of automated karst depression recognition uses a digital terrain model (DTM) and mainly applies the methods of a moving window with a kernel size of 3 x 3 cells using focal functions. It is divided into four parts: watershed calculation, depression delineation, higher level depression delineation and elimination of non-karst depressions. The essential part of the algorithm is the delineation of depression by the elevation of the lowest border cell of watershed. Depressions at higher levels are recognised by filling previously recognised depressions. The article presents the results of suitability analysis of land use records of agricultural and forest land from the Slovenian ministry responsible for agriculture, for the purpose of land use change monitoring in Slovenia. To date, these data are the only systematically gathered data concerning land use in the country. For qualitative land use change detection, the metadata of land use datasets are of crucial importance. In the article, the changing criteria for land use data acquisition of agricultural and forest land are exposed. For the case of the Pomurska Statistical Region, the analysis of land use change has been conducted based on land use data of the agricultural ministry in the period 2002-2011. The main objective has been to provide the basic information on the quality of used datasets in order to assist the critical and correct interpretation and use of land use data of the agricultural sector. V diplomski nalogi bomo analizirali območja primerna za postavitev sončnih elektrarn v Sloveniji. Analizo primernosti območij bomo izvedli s pomočjo javno dostopnih podatkov o jakosti sončnega obsevanja, izbranih objektih v prostoru, reliefu ter različnih naravovarstvenih območjih. Urejene podatke bomo ustrezno kombinirali s pomočjo kartografskega modela v postopkih prostorskih analiz v okolju geografskega informacijskega sistema ArcGIS. Rezultat diplomske naloge bo karta primernih območij za postavitev sončnih elektrarn v Sloveniji v ločljivosti 50 metrov. In the diploma thesis, we will analyse suitable areas for the installation of solar power plants in Slovenia. The suitability of the sites will be analysed using publicly available data on the intensity of solar irradiation, selected objects in space, terrain and various nature conservation areas. We will combine appropriately the edited data in a cartographic model by spatial analysis procedures in the geographical information system ArcGIS. The result of the diploma thesis will be a map of suitable sites for the installation of solar power plants in Slovenia with a resolution of 50 meters.

13. HOLISTIC GEOMORPHOLOGICAL SPATIAL ANALYSIS OF KARST ON KRK ISLAND

The intriguing spatial variability of surface features on Krk Island has stimulated the research of this karst area located in the coastal zone of the Dinaric karst in Croatia. Field inspection, ortho-rectified aerial photos (0.5m resolution) and a topographic map (1:5,000) were used for the detection and delineation of detectable karst surface features appearing on the island with the area of 405.5 km². This method resulted in the identification of several yet undefined types of surface features occurring on karst, requiring the revision of the existing classification and re-establishment of a new classification system compatible with the particular field reality. Several morphologic and distributive parameters that had been calculated for each re-classified type of surface feature provided insight into the surface features elementary characteristics, their spatial variability and the correlation to the other types of surface features and to the recent karst relief. This analysis based on a large, accurate dataset, contributed to the general knowledge on karstic surface features, the conditions of surface features in Dinaric karst and to the understanding of the karst surface evolution on Krk Island. Raziskovalno delo na otoku Krku, ki se nahaja v obalnem delu Dinarskega krasa na Hrvaškem, je spodbudila nenavadna prostorska spremenljivost tamkajšnjih površinskih oblik. Kraške površinske oblike, ki se nahajajo na površini 405,5 km², so bile zaznane in očrtane s pomočjo terenskega dela, digitalnih ortofoto posnetkov v ločljivosti 0,5 m in topografske karte v merilu 1:5000. Tak pristop je omogočil zaznavanje več vrst še neevidentiranih površinskih oblik na krasu. To je spodbudilo prevetritev obstoječih klasifikacij ter vzpostavitev nove razvrstitve površinskih oblik, ki bolj ustreza stvarnosti dotičnega opazovanega območja. Več morfometričnih in distributivnih parametrov, ki so bili izračunani za posamezen tip na novo klasificiranih površinskih oblik, je omogočilo vpogled v njihove bistvene lastnosti, prostorsko spremenljivost in povezanost z ostalimi vrstami površinskih oblik ter trenutnim kraškim reliefom. Rezultati, ki so dobljeni iz obsežnega podatkovnega sloja s precejšnjo natančnostjo, so prispevali k splošnemu védenju o površinskih oblikah na krasu, k poznavanju površinskih oblik v pogojih Dinarskega krasa in k razumevanju razvoja kraškega površja na otoku Krku.

14. Določitev primernih območij za postavitev vetrnih elektrarn v Sloveniji

Zaradi vse večjih potreb po energiji in ciljih za zmanjšanje toplogrednih plinov, smo v diplomski nalogi s pomočjo prostorskih analiz v GIS določili primerna območja za postavitev vetrnih elektrarn v Sloveniji. Primerna območja smo iskali glede na povprečno hitrost vetra, geografske omejitve, omejitve rabe zemljišč ter glede na zavarovana območja. Rezultati diplomske naloge lahko pritegnejo pozornost ljudi, ki so odgovorni za dosego trajnostnega razvoja vetrne energije v Sloveniji. Dokazali smo, da ima Slovenija dovolj vetra in območij, ki jih je mogoče uporabiti za izgradnjo vetrnih elektrarn. Due to increasing energy needs and greenhouse gas reduction goals, we made graduation thesis in which we designated suitable areas for wind farms installation in Slovenia, using a GIS–based approach. Suitable areas were determined by average wind speed, geographical and land use constraints and by protected areas. The results of this thesis can draw the attention of decision makers to reach a sustainable wind energy development in Slovenia. The results achieved in this paper suggest that Slovenia possesses sufficient wind energy and land area available for wind farms installations.

V magistrskemu delu smo s pomočjo analitičnih orodij geografskih informacijskih sistemov (GIS) izvedli prostorske-časovne analize nepremičninskega trga na izbranem območju. Namen naloge je predvsem pokazati pomen in analizirati možnosti uporabe geo-lokacijskih podatkov o nepremičninah ter drugih prostorskih podatkov za analizo nepremičninskega trga. Pri tem smo pregledali in obravnavali primernost v Sloveniji dostopnih uradnih podatkovnih zbirk o nepremičninah in nepremičninskem trgu za predlagane analize. V empiričnem delu smo na študijskem območju s pomočjo prostorskih analiz dokazovali povezanost lokacije nepremičnin in transakcijske vrednosti le teh. Osredotočili smo se na stanovanjski nepremičninski trg v obalnih občinah Ankaran, Izola, Koper in Piran. Analizirali smo vplive izbranih prostorskih dejavnikov oziroma značilnosti na transakcijsko vrednost nepremičnin, kot je oddaljenost nepremičnine od središča mesta. Za namene prostorskih analiz smo uporabili odprto programsko rešitev QGIS. Za primer oddaljenosti od obalne linije ter dostopnosti do središč občine smo na študijskem območju ugotovili, da lokacija značilno vpliva tako na dejavnost trga nepremičnin kot na samo transakcijsko vrednost. In the master's thesis spatial-temporal analyses of real estate market for the study area was conducted using analytical tools of geographic information systems (GIS). The purpose of the thesis has been in particular to demonstrate the importance and possibilities of using geo-locational information about real estate and other spatial data for the analysis of real estate market. In this regard, we examined and considered the appropriateness of available official databases on real estate and real estate market in Slovenia. In the empirical part, the correlation between the location of a real estate and its transaction value was proved using spatial analyses. We focused on the residential real estate market in the coastal municipalities of Ankaran, Izola, Koper and Piran. The influence of the selected locational factors or locational characteristics on the transaction value of residential real estates was studied, such as the distance of a real estate from the city centre. For the purposes of spatial analysis, we used an open software solution QGIS. For the case of a distance from the coastal line to individual real estate and accessibility to the centers of the municipality from the location of a real estate, we concluded that the location significantly influences both the activity of the real estate market and the transaction value.

18. Razvoj Istrskega podeželja - primer vzpostavitve razpršenega hotela in možnost obnove vasi Padna

Podeželje Slovenske Istre je izjemno turistično privlačno, saj posebna kulturna krajina nudi raziskovanje številnih naravnih in kulturnodediščinskih prvin. Kljub temu pa je glavnina turističnega obiska in gospodarskega razvoja usmerjena na ozek obalni pas. Marsikatero tradicionalno naselje v zaledju je tako izpostavljeno stagniranju in degradaciji, predvsem zaradi staranja in odseljevanja prebivalstva. V zaledje se vrne le malo mladih ljudi, ki večinoma ne čutijo tradicije in pripadnosti okolju. Zato so arhitekturno bogati objekti prepuščeni propadanju ali neposrečenim obnovam. Ena od možnosti obnove tradicionalnih naselij in socialno-gospodarskega razvoja podeželja je vzpostavitev modela razpršenega hotela. Ta temelji na linearni postavitvi dejavnosti v posamezne propadajoče objekte v ogroženem naselju z namenom oživitve in razvoja vasi. Za namen razpršenega hotela se obnovijo degradirani in zapuščeni objekti, uporabljajo se notranji viri, sodeluje se z lokalnim prebivalstvom in ponudi se turistični razvoj s poudarkom na spoznavanju naravnega okolja, kulturne dediščine, tradicije in ljudi. S pomočjo prostorskih analiz in terenskih ogledov smo analizirali naselja v Slovenski Istri, nato pa glede na določena merila izbrali naselja, ki so primerna za vzpostavitev modela. Odločili smo se, da pilotni model postavimo v naselje Padna v občini Piran, kjer si lokalno prebivalstvo že prizadeva za turistični razvoj kraja. Ker je v naselju skoraj polovica objektov zapuščenih, smo izdelali idejno zasnovo razpršenega hotela. Opozorili smo tudi na morebitne težave ob nastanku projekta in skušali nakazovati rešitve z navezovanjem na uporabo dobrih praks iz sosednje Italije, kjer so razpršeni hoteli že desetletja vodilni turistični produkt kot nišni del trajnostnega turizma na podeželju. Rural landscape in Slovenian Istria is highly attractive for tourism as a special cultural landscape offers exploring many natural and cultural heritage elements. Nevertheless, the majority of tourists and economic development are concentrated on the narrow coastline. Many traditional settlements in city outskirts are exposed to stagnation and degradation, mainly due to the aging population and emigration. Only few young people, who are generally not in touch with tradition and the environment, return to rural areas. Therefore, architecturally rich buildings fall into decay or are poorly renovated. One of the possible renovations of traditional settlements and socio-economic development of rural areas is to establish a scattered hotel (albergo diffuso) model. This model is based on a linear layout of activities in each decaying building in a settlement to focus on recovery and development of the settlement. Degraded and abandoned buildings are renovated for the purpose of the scattered hotel, using local resources, cooperating with locals and offering tourist development with an emphasis on learning about the natural environment, cultural heritage, tradition and the people. Settlements in Slovenian Istria were analysed by using spatial analysis and fieldwork, and then we specified certain criteria for selecting settlements that are suitable for establishing the model. We decided to set up the pilot model in settlement Padna in municipality Piran, where locals have already committed to the rural tourism development. Because almost half of the buildings in the settlement are abandoned, we designed a concept for a scattered hotel. We also warned about the potential problems before starting the first project in Slovenia and tried to indicate solutions by using examples of good practice from Italy, where for decades scattered hotels have been the leading tourist product as a niche in sustainable rural tourism.

The purpose of this paper is a description of development of the automated methods for determination and analysis of peaks and shapes as the upper part of the rising ground. The determination of local peaks by means of the digital terrain model (DTM) on the basisof a moving window of 3 by 3 grid cell analysis is facilitated by almost each software for raster-based data analysis. The definition of characteristic peaks, which are subjectively determined by mountaineers according to topographical, geomorphological andmountaineering criteria, is a more important problem. The topographical and geomorphological criteria were handled with automated algorithms. The points and potential surfaces of the peaks were calculated. From the potential surfaces the shapes of sharp, blunt, oblong and conical peaks were identified. The number andlocations of the peaks determined by automatic methods do not differ against the reference data more than the various subjective human-based methods differentiate among each other. The advantages of theautomated approach are that the parameters are standardised and the results more comparative, more objective, and therefore of higher quality. The study area was the Kamnik Alps and the data of the DTMof Slovenia with a resolution of 12.5, 25 and 100 m, respectively.

Strojna in programska oprema sta temeljni orodji za izvajanje različnih del na vseh področjih inženirstva. Tehnologije, ki jih lahko srečamo na trgu, danes še posebej ponujajo veliko več kot so včasih. Ko govorimo o komercialni tehnologiji GIS in inženirski strojni opremi, govorimo o zelo dragih izdelkih, ki ponujajo odličen zagon in podporo vsakemu podjetju, ki jih zna uporabljati. Poleg komercialnih izdelkov obstaja širok spekter odprtokodnih rešitev, ki ponujajo enako dobre usluge in zadostujejo strokovni uporabi. Enako kot za programska orodja velja za proste in odprtokodne operacijske sisteme primer so sistemi iz družine Linux. V diplomski nalogi smo preizkusili izvajanje prostorskih analiz v popolnoma odprtokodnem okolju, z vidika algoritemske vsebine, ki smo jo izvajali v programskem jeziku Python. Le-ta je danes standardni skriptni jezik za GIS-namene in za izdelavo vtičnikov v programih, kot so ArcGIS (ESRI, Arcpy) in QGIS. Enotnost programskega jezika ponuja povezavo med različnimi programskimi orodji, kot tudi med različnimi sistemskimi platformami. Zato je izmenjava skript in vtičnikov popolnoma skladna tudi v primeru, ko se pogovarjamo o prehodu in uporabi enake skripte med različnimi operacijskimi sistemi ali med različnimi GISorodji. Enostavnost jezika inženirjem ponuja osredotočenje na reševanje inženirskih problemov, brez prekomernega ukvarjanja s samim postopkom programiranja. Le-tega zahtevajo bolj kompleksni programski jeziki, kot sta C++ in Java. V delu smo opisali postopek od začetne namestitve operacijskega sistema Linux Mint do namestitve razvojnih okolij Python ter njihove uporabe. Izbrane skripte za izvedbo prostorskih analiz smo preizkusili v različnih operacijskih sistemih (v Linux Mint 17 Qiana ter v operacijskem sistemu Windows 8.1), rezultate pa smo ovrednotili kvalitativno in kvantitativno. Hardware and software represent basic tools for performance of various tasks in all fields of engineering. This is particularly true today, as available technologies offer considerably more than they used to in the past. The GIS technology and engineering software namely, represent particularly expensive products, which offer an excellent start-up and support for any company knowledgeable in their use. In addition to commercial products, there is also a wide spectrum of open source solutions, which offer same quality of service and meet the professional standards of use. The situation is similar when it comes to free and open source operating systems, the Linux family systems for example. Performance of spatial analysis in a fully open source system is tested in the thesis from the point of view of algorithm content, which was carried out in Python programming language. Python has become the standard scripting language for the requirements of GIS and for designing plug-ins in programmes such as ArcGIS (ESRI, Arcpy) and QGIS. Programming language uniformity provides the link among various programming tools as well as among various system platforms. The exchange of scripts and plug-ins is thus completely compatible, including in the cases of transit and use of the same script among different operating systems and among various GIS tools. The simplicity of language enables the engineers to focus on solutions of engineering tasks without having to spend too much time on the process of programming. Focus on programming is however required by more complex programming languages such as C++ and Java. The process from the initial installation the Linux Mint operating system until installation of Python development environments and their use is described in the thesis. The thesis provides tests of selected scripts for performing spatial analysis in various operating systems (in Linux Mint 17 Qiana and in Windows 8.1 operating systems) and gives qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the results.

Poznavanje zmožnosti prostorskih podatkov vodi do uspešnega poslovanja organizacij. Pri naravnih nesrečah, kot je potres, je potreba po hitrem in učinkovitem medsebojnem delovanju različnih deležnikov. Po potresih leta 1998 in 2004 je v Občini Bovec prihajalo do neusklajenosti med cenilci, kar je povzročilo dodatno delo pri obdelavi podatkov. Podpora rešitvi v takšnih primerih je uvedba usklajenega podatkovnega skladišča. Izvedbo polnjenja podatkovnega skladišča omogoča postopek ETL (angl. extract, transform, load), ki obsega aktivnost izbora, preoblikovanja in dostave podatkov. Bistvo prostorskega ETL-orodja je v izmenjavi prostorskih podatkov v geografskih informacijskih sistemih (GIS) med različnimi uporabniki in lastnost, da lahko dane podatke pregledno uporabljamo. Takšno podatkovno skladišče lahko uporabnikom nudi pregled nad časovnimi spremembami za posamezne stavbe, prostorskim načrtovalcem pa podlago za načrtovanje občinskih prostorskih načrtov. V diplomski nalogi izvedemo poenotenje nehomogenih podatkovnih skladišč, zbranih iz različnih institucij po metodi ETL. Uporabili smo prostorsko ETL-orodje FME Desktop v ArcGIS-u, ki omogoča vnos podatkov različnih formatov v programsko okolje, vsebuje bogato zbirko pretvornikov, ki omogočajo preoblikovanje podatkov in njihovo dostavo v končno podatkovno skladišče. Uporabnost novonastalega podatkovnega skladišča smo preverili za potres na Bovškem leta 2004. Uporabili smo analitična orodja ArcGIS za ugotavljanje vpliva geološke podlage na poškodovanost stavb. Poizvedovali smo po opisnih in lokacijskih atributih ter analizirali primernost tal za gradnjo. S to študijo na primeru smo pokazali fleksibilnost prostorskega ETL, ki se je izkazalo tudi za močno orodje pri urejanju in analizi prostorskih podatkov. Na podatkih poškodovanosti stavb in drugih dejavnikov (npr. leto izgradnje in material stavbe) za en sam potres, smo z relativno majhno zanesljivostjo potrdili vpliv geološke podlage na višino ocenjene škode. Good knowledge of spatial data applications leads to successful business organizations. In the event of natural disasters such as earthquakes, interoperability between different organizations is necessary for fast and efficient action of different stakeholders. There were many occurrences of discrepancies amongst appraisers’ damage evaluations after the 1998 and 2004 Bovec municipality earthquakes, which consequently led to additional work in data processing. In such cases, building a coordinated data warehouse can greatly assist solving these problems. Implementing a data warehouse is made possible by the ETL process, which extracts, transforms and loads data. The basic functions of the spatial ETL tool are exchanging information in the geographical information system (GIS) between different users, and the ability to transparently use the given data. A newly made data warehouse also provides users an overview of the chronological developments for each building, and offers land planners the basis for the design of municipal spatial plans. In this thesis, a unification of non-homogenous data warehouses, collected from various institutions with the ETL process, is accomplished. To achieve this, the spatial ETL tool FME Desktop is used in ArcGIS, which allows entry of different data formats into the software environment and contains a rich collection of converters that enable the transformation of data and their delivery to the final data warehouse. The applicability of the newly made data warehouse concerning the 2004 Bovec earthquake is then examined. ArcGIS analytical tools are used to assess the impact and effect geological basis have on the damage done buildings. An inquiry trough descriptive and locational attributes and an analysis of the suitability of soil for construction are made. The flexibility of the spatial ETL tool is demonstrated in this study, which also turns out to be a strong tool for editing and analyzing spatial data. The effect the geological basis has on the amount of the estimated damage is, in view of the data regarding the damage to buildings and in respect of other factors (such as the year of construction and building materials used) taken into account only for the aforementioned earthquake, therefore, confirmed with relatively low reliability.

V diplomski nalogi je predstavljena uporaba metod prostorskih analiz geografskega informacijskega sistema (GIS) za analizo poselitve za primer okolice Cerkniškega jezera. V zadnjih desetletjih se opaža trend poseljevanja manj primernih površin glede na naravne pogoje in s tem izpostavljanje stavb naravnim nesrečam. Zato smo testno območje analizirali z vidika primernosti obstoječe poselitve ter določili primerne površine za njeno morebitno širjenje. V ta namen smo izdelali dva modela, induktivnega in deduktivnega. Metodologija izdelave modelov sloni na izdelavi spremenljivk, ki smo jih kot naravne kriterije primernosti za poselitvene površine vključili v model. Obravnavali smo naslednje kriterije oz. spremenljivke: čisto okolje, ugodno podnebje, nizka raven hrupa, naklon, ekspozicija, kamninska podlaga, vodovarstvena območja, poplavna območja, raba tal in Natura 2000. Geomorfološki spremenljivki (naklon, ekspozicija) smo dobili z analizami digitalnega modela reliefa (DMR), ostale pa smo pridobili iz javno dostopnih prostorskih podatkov. Ugotovili smo, da je glede na naravne kriterije poselitev obravnavanega območja primerna, nove poselitvene površine pa je mogoče načrtovati predvsem znotraj že obstoječih naselij. The thesis presents the use of spatial analysis methods of geographic information system (GIS) for settlement analysis for the case study of Lake Cerknica. Since the trend of settling unsuitable areas according to environmental factors has been noticed over the past few decades there was an increase of damage on buildings from natural disasters. Due to this we analysed the present settlement of the study area and we specified the most suitable areas for potential expansion. Two models were designed, inductive and deductive. Methodology of model designing is based on making variables which are included into the model as natural criteria of adequacy for settlement areas. These environmental factors were discussed as variables: clean environment, suitable climate, low noise, slope, aspect, lithological base, water protection area, flooding area, land use and Natura 2000. Geomorphometrical variables (slope, aspect) were generated with spatial analysis using digital elevation model (DEM), others were sourced from public available spatial data. We discovered that regarding the natural criteria the settlement of the study area is appropriate and that new settlement areas can be planned mainly within the existing settlements.

Prostorske analize obsegajo široko področje tehnik za analizo, izračun in prikaz prostorskih podatkov. Namen diplomske naloge je bil izdelati prenovljen priročnik iz tovrstnih analiz v orodju ArcGIS. Pri tem smo izhajali iz obstoječega priročnika (Bobnar, 2005), ki smo ga priredili predvsem zaradi tehnoloških in vsebinskih sprememb v delovanju orodja ArcGIS. Vsebinsko je naloga razdeljena na teoretični in praktični del. V prvem predstavimo prostorske analize v geografskih informacijskih sistemih (GIS). Najprej so definirane prostorske analize in analize prostorskih podatkov, nadalje so predstavljeni osnovni pristopi k prostorskim analizam. Naloga podrobneje obravnava funkcionalni pristop členitve prostorskih analiz. Drugi, praktičen del naloge vsebuje t.i. priročnik iz prostorskih analiz v orodju ArcGIS. Poleg posodobitve obstoječih postopkov prostorskih analiz so v priročniku dodani še postopki s področja mrežnih analiz v okolju GIS. Priročnik sestoji iz desetih vaj, ki jih izvajamo v orodju ArcGIS 10.2 in novejših različicah. Ta programska rešitev ponuja širok nabor orodij za izvajanje prostorskih analiz. Uporabnik se seznani z orodji za zagon prostorskih analiz, izračun razdalj, izvedbo mrežnih analiz ter z rastrskimi podatkovnimi sloji in z orodji za njihovo urejanje. Priročnik obravnava tudi različne tehnike za interpolacijo ploskev, algebro karte, kartografsko modeliranje ter predstavi grafično okolje ModelBuilder za kartografsko modeliranje. Spatial analyses encompass a wide scope of techniques for analysing, calculating, and representing the spatial data. The goal of the diploma thesis was to design a renewed manual for such analyses in ArcGIS tool. We have therefore referred to the existing manual (Bobnar, 2005), that we adjusted especially due to the technological changes and changes in content of the functioning of ArcGIS tool. The content is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the first part, we present the spatial analyses in the geographical information systems (GIS). Firstly, the spatial analyses and the analyses of spatial data are defined, furthermore, the basic approaches to spatial analyses are presented. The thesis discusses in more detail the functional approach of spatial analyses classification. The second, practical part contains the so-called manual for spatial analyses in ArcGIS tool. Besides the renewed procedures for spatial analyses, the procedures in the field of network analyses in GIS environment are also added to the manual. The manual consists of ten exercises, which are performed in ArcGIS 10.2 and later versions. This software solution offers a wide range of tools to perform the spatial analyses. The user learns about the tools to launch the spatial analyses, calculate distances, perform network analyses and about the raster-based data layers and tools for their compilation. The manual also discusses the various techniques for surface interpolation, map algebra, cartographic modelling, and presents a graphical environment ModelBuilder for cartographic modelling.

V okviru diplomske naloge smo analizirali spremembe katastrske rabe zemljišč v katastrski občini Šentrupert na podlagi podatkov franciscejskega katastra in novejših evidenc rabe zemljišč. Teoretični del naloge vključuje opis ključnih značilnosti franciscejskega katastra in pregled zakonodaje, ki se nanaša na podatke o rabi zemljišč. V analitičnem delu smo analizirali sistem ledin v času nastanka franciscejskega katastra ter proučevali spremembe parcelne strukture, primerjali pozidavo in na splošno rabo zemljišč med stanjem na začetku 19. stoletja po podatkih franciscejskega katastra in današnjim stanjem. Razvidno je, da današnje zbirke zemljiških podatkov o rabi zemljišč niso tako dobre, kot bi pričakovali, ker niso primerno vzdrževane oziroma je sama zasnova zbirk prilagojena drugim potrebam (ne katastrskim). Kljub temu lahko za študijsko območje zaključimo, da se za kmetijstvo uporabne površine in pašniki zaraščajo, obdelane njive pa postajajo travniki. Na podlagi naloge smo ugotovili, da ima franciscejski kataster zgodovinsko vrednost za vsako državo, saj je primeren za različne analize stanja prostora v času njegovega nastanka. In this diploma thesis we have studied changes of the cadastral land use in the cadastral community of Šentrupert based on land use data from the Franziscean land cadastre and current data on land use in the area. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a brief presentation of the Franzicsean land cadastre and an overview of the legislation, related to land use data. In analytical part, the field names system in the Franziscean land cadastre has been analysed. Furthermore, the changes of land plots’ structure has been studies, and the built-up areas and land use in general has been compared between the situation in the beginning of the 19th century as recorded in the Franziscean land cadastre and current situation. It has been shown, that the current land use data are not of as high quality as it is expected, due to unsufficient update or the concept of databases is adjusted to other needs (non-cadastral). Nevertheless, for the study area it can be concluded, that the agricultural land in use and pastures are becoming overgrown, fields are getting meadows. On the basis of our study we can further conclude that the Franziscean land cadastre has an important historical value for every country, since it is appropriate for different analyses of spatial situation in the time of its formation.
