The thesis examines the needs of the field of social work as perceived by social workers elected on the basis of diverse conceptions of social work. The theoretical part defines the concept of social work, problems of postmodern social work, requirements for social worker qualification, social work education, explains the concepts of profession, professionalization, professionography. It describes the personality of the social worker, his competences; supervision and reflexivity in social work. Characteristics of developmental needs and their distribution, different conceptions of social work and the Code of Ethics in the context of these conceptions are presented. The research part focuses on the interpretation of the data obtained according to Pesso Boyden's concept of developmental needs. Thus, the essence of the thesis is the needs of the field of social work as formulated by social workers.

The thesis entitled "The Ideal Teacher from the Perspective of Secondary School Students" is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter focuses on the personality of the teacher. It describes some typologies of teacher's personality, different stages of the teaching profession, selected factors that influence teacher's personality. The second chapter focuses on interaction and communication in teaching. Within this chapter, the author also discusses teacher authority and classroom climate. The other chapters of the thesis focus on the role of the teacher, the workload associated with the profession, and the topic of professional competence and teacher professionalism. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis departs from the teacher to the pupils. In the case of the surveyed respondents, these are pupils in the period of adolescence. Studie je koncipována jako teoretický vhled do profese sportovního trenéra. Na základě kulturně-historické argumentace je jejím cílem nastínit, jak se profese sportovních trenérů utvářela v kontextu dynamicky se rozvíjející oblasti tělesné výchovy a sportu a s jakými problémy je konfrontována. Úvodní část je věnována historickému ohlédnutí (se) za vznikem trenérství. Následně jsou představeny vymezení a charakteristika této oblasti lidské činnosti. V kontextu diskuse o (semi)profesionalismu je zmíněna myšlenka sdíleného profesního prostoru, v němž vedle profesionálních zkušených trenérů působí také dobrovolní a poloprofesionální (začínající) trenéři. Poté jsou v textu rozebírány funkce trenérů a požadavky na jejich kompetence. Výklad ústí do problematiky vzdělávání trenérů. The paper provides theoretical insights into the sports coach profession. Based on cultural-historical argumentation, its ambition is to outline how the sports coach profession evolved in the context of the development of physical education and sport and which problems it faced. The introductory part provides a historical overview of the development of the sports coach profession. In the next step, the evolution of the sports coach profession is outlined. In the context of the debate on semi-professionalism, the phenomenon of shared professional space, where not only professional, experienced coaches but also volunteer and quasi-professional (novice) coaches are working. In the next step, the functions and competencies of sports coaches are discussed. The education of coaches is analyzed. By the end of the paper, selected challenges of the sports coach profession and professionalization are addressed: 1) specific and generic features of sports coach profession; 2) evolving sports coach profession on a broad scale; 3) education and professional development of coaches.

A deeper understanding of the kindergarten teacher's profession allows for the use of visual methodology and symbol analysis of visual representations in pedagogical research. The study seeks to gain a deeper understanding of verbally difficult to convey meanings through quantification of thematic motifs of drawings by student kindergarten teachers (n = 76) and a detailed qualitative analysis of selected images of 5 of them, based on a team-based free association method and subsequent symbolic interpretation of the images. In the results of the quantitative analysis, the kindergarten teacher's profession is based on the visualization of the relationships and interaction between adults (usually women) and children, most often in free play or learning, with the support of a set agenda and against the background of a positively attuned situation. However, the interpretation of the expressive symbolism of the 5 drawings also offers previously unnoticed contradictions that disrupt this schema. In them, other aspects of the profession emerge, such as overload, elements of unreasonable attachment, dependence or the sad transience of all their efforts and activities, resonating also the weakening of the profession's importance at the expense of external pressures. © 2021 Charles University in Prague - Karolinum Press. Studying the status of a nurse throughout the history is connected to a historical knowledge, which can be characterized as a realization of connections between the past, present and future. Knowledge of history helps to better understand social development and it´s influence on the profession of a nurse. It also enables us to properly understand the tendencies and problems affecting nursing care. Studying the history is therefore a fundamental requirement to have an overview of the field and to gain a complex knowledge. The expert´s opinions on the level of knowledge differs up to a certain point. On the one hand there is a view among the experts, that medical personnel know the history of their profession, on the other hand many experts let it be known, that nurses often underestimate the importance of knowing their profession´s history. They do not realize, that studying history is the very thing to help them understand the essence of their profession and their role in nursing care. The aim of the presumptive thesis is to analyze the status of a nurse in the past and present. Then, based on this analysis, create a vision of the status of a nurse in the future. The intention is also to concretize the image of the future of the nursing care. This thesis has a theoretical character and is approached as an analytical study. Methods of description and text hermeneutics are used to analyze the documents. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part deals with historical development of the status of a nurse. It contains contemplation on the topicality of studying the history of nursing and evaluation of the history´s influence on the development of nursing care. The second part is devoted to the current status of a nurse. It contains evaluation of nursing as a profession, the role of a nurse and their competences. It also brings attention to the current education and the view of society on nurses. The third part deals with the expected status of nurses in the future. It formulates a vision of the future and looks into future technologies. It also describes the principles of transhumanism as a social and philosophical movement. It predicts personal requirements and education of nurses in the future. The merit of this thesis is above all creating a vision of the future from the viewpoint of anticipated social changes and their impact on the future development of nursing care and the status of a nurse. The results of this thesis can be used in education and professional training of nurses, in creating an objective picture for the public and to better the status of nurses in society. For the sake of clarity, the results are contained in the conclusion of the thesis in a form of individual topics. The resulting initiatives can be used to update methodology guides, curriculums and directives for organizing and managing health care facilities as well as to make conceptions and plans to advance nursing care in the future.

This work deals with the process of mapping the history of the profession and education of midwives, focusing on the Czech lands. The first mention of the existence of midwives dates back to the 2nd millennium BC (ancient Egypt, ancient Greece). Already at this time there was a detailed knowledge about pregnancy, childbirth and the complications that could occur. The aim of this work is to find out as much information and knowledge as possible about the way and system of education of midwives from the beginnings (given the available sources this is the period from the Late Middle Ages to the Early Modern times) to the present. The introductory chapters first describe the times where there was no comprehensive education system for midwives, so the teaching took place in such a way that a young girl served an apprenticeship with an experienced midwife, who passed all her knowledge and experiences on to her. Only since the end of the 18th century a compulsory training and qualification testing for midwives were introduced. In these days, future midwives prepare for the profession at universities by studying the bachelor's program in Midwifery, that lasts 3 years. This master's thesis is about the professional crisis of Czech journalists and the causes of the crisis. The thesis is based on the theory of Pierre Bourdieu, who defined the journalistic field, which is influenced by other fields especially the economic one and political one. The thesis is also based on journalism as a profession from an idealistic point of view. The goal of the thesis was to find out how is real journalism different from the idealistic point of view. The part of the work is also qualitative research based on interviews with eight journalists. This research showed many causes and consequences of the crises. The results are that the requirements of the profession are the same, but the conditions are different. The causes are for example financial stringency, unclear rules, quick news, social media, and ownership of the media. And the consequences are that the content of media is oriented on the reader, mistrust in media, media are based on opinion, young journalists are leaving, getting rid of responsibility, shorter news, mistakes, too much information and lower quality of news. These consequences lead to the crisis of journalism.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis and evaluation of dosimetric data of radiation workers, whose personal doses are recorded in the Register of Professional Irradiation of the State Office for Nuclear Safety and ionizing radiation sources used in industry and healthcare. These data are drawn from the Register of Resources of the State Office for Nuclear Safety and data on resources used in healthcare from the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic. Based on the analyzed data, I compiled an overview of individual occupational groups, their dosimetric data and development over time. I applied the same procedure with data on sources of ionizing radiation obtained from the Register of Sources of the State Office for Nuclear Safety and the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic. To answer the research question, an analysis of the obtained outputs was performed, which were processed into graphs and then compared with each other over time. Based on the evaluation of the obtained data, it can be stated that the working group with the highest personal doses can include interventional radiologists and cardiologists, workers performing defectoscopy, logging and workers in the uranium industry. The development of doses of these radiation workers is described in detail in chapter 4.1. Furthermore, it can be stated that in the field of healthcare, an increasing number of all sources is observable, except for mammographic devices, the number of which has a slightly decreasing trend. Data on industry resources and other more detailed analyzes are provided in Chapter 4.2.

The thesis is focused on research for children's understanding of social stratification on primary school. The main topic are children's representations of the structure of society regarding occupations. The aim is the diagnoses of children's understanding reflecting the structure of society. It tries to reveal if children on primary school percieve invisible network of statuses and roles that result from the structure of our society and carry social rules and agreements. The bachelor thesis deals with the motivation for the pedagogical profession. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts associated with the pedagogical profession. It also explains the meaning and the significances of motivation and also what types of motivation exist. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to the topic of motivation for being a teacher. The practical part presents the results of the questionnaire survey and also evaluates the motivation of the respondents for choosing the pedagogical profession. An important fading is that the choice of the pedagogical profession is negatively affected by the growing aggression of students.

This diploma thesis deals with development of sports journalism during the First Czechoslovak Republic, which applies to the period from October 1918 unBl Munich agreement in September 1938. Research is focused parBcularly on specialized sports magazines and it is based on analysis of the six most significant ones - Slavista, Sportovni revue, Sportovni vestnik, Sport, Star and Rekord. The aim of this thesis is to describe the progress of sport journalism between world wars in the broader context and get to know whether or not had sport journalism developed into a full-Bme occupaBon. In addiBon this text portrays the most influenBal sport journalists of that period - Karel Petru, Josef Fanta, Miloslav Josef Horacek and Ondrej Sekora and also brings a chapter about sports photography, which was inseparable part of popular sport magazines. This thesis is a first scholarly text to bring a wider perspecBve on specialized sports magazines in Czechoslovak Republic between years 1918 and 1938 and follows the cooperaBon and rivality among journalists and their influence on sport in Czechoslovakia in general. One chapter was devoted to sports photography, because it played important role in successful sports magazines.

This diploma thesis called Men's motivation to remaining in the teaching profession at primary school is about men - teachers at the Czech primary schools. The main goal is to analyse the motivation to staying in the teaching profession on the basis of twelve semi-structured interviews with teachers from different primary schools. In general, the teaching profession is not so atractive for men - it is traditionally associated with lower salary, not too high prestige in society and also because the teaching profession is often called "female job". The feminization of Czech education is another big theme of this thesis. In relation to this phenomenon, possible causes, consequences and strategies, that could attract more men to the field of education and would change the actual situation, are discussed. This diploma thesis brings information about the perception of the teaching profession by secondary school students, their parents, and teachers of a selected primary school. The aim of the work is to find out with the help of questionnaires, how pupils and their parents subjectively see and perceive teachers and how the teachers who teach pupils themselves see their profession as a teacher. In the theoretical part, I deal with the historical development of education and the teaching profession in our territory. I also deal with the characteristics of the teaching profession by clarifying the very concept, personality traits, and typology of the teacher's personality. This section also includes chapters on the competence of the teacher, his authority and motivation to choose the teaching profession. In the last part, I deal with the current form of the teaching profession in primary school, the requirements for the profession, and including selected problems of our education. In the practical part, I used a questionnaire survey to evaluate the data obtained by individual respondents among students, parents, and teachers and then I analyzed the data of individual groups of respondents and drew a conclusion. The work is focused on desision-making about the next university studies and future profession of the students at grammar schools and maps the situation in our country and the situation in foreign countries, especially Europen, it is focused on comparison of posibilities of studies in the Czech Republic and in Europe.. The research took place in the time period of November - October 2018 in Pilsen region. The main objective of the exploration was to map the situation of the desision-making about future profession of the students of grammar schools. The partial objectives were to map the reasons that influence the most the desision-making about future profession, to discover the differences between students of four-year and more-year form of the schools and what is the proportion of the students who change their high school during their studies at grammar school and to find the proportion of the students who want to continue their stuies at university. The paper analyses the opinions of the respondents - students of the graduation grades of two grammar schools and the data gived by the leaders of these schools. The topic of this bachelor thesis is "Man working in the general nurse profession". The main goal of this theses is to map the work of men in this profession. We were interested in the general public and educated public point of view of this profession and how their field of work is perceived by male nurses as well. Quantitative, as well as qualitative research, were applied. Both types of research were chosen to offer a compact and holistic point of view of this topic. Questions asked in qualitative research are: What are the reasons for men to work as a general nurse? How does the general public perceive male general nurses? Which obstacles and difficulties face male general nurses? Data have been collected by semi-structured interviews, which have been done with eight male nurses. In the quantitative part, these hypotheses are set: 1. Attitude towards male nurses differs depending on gender. 2. Attitude towards male nurses differs depending on age. Data have been collected by a questionnaire. The research sample consists of 218 persons that are not working in health care. In general, we found out that the opinion of men in the profession of general nurse is not dependent on age, but it is dependent on gender. Given the fact that the general nurse profession is to this day considered to be rather a feminine profession, this thesis is beneficial especially for the general public because it informs and tears down possible misconceptions and sheds a light on the issue. It also offers an opportunity for men to inform themselves of a possibility for males to work as a general nurse and consider it their future profession.

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the idea of midwifery students about the profession of midwife. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part provides information on the history and development of the midwife profession. The attention is paid to the teaching of midwifery and obstetrics, the current system of education of midwives and the current profession and competencies of midwives.The practical part of the bachelor's thesis was carried out using a qualitative research survey in the form of semi-structured individual interviews. The research group consisted of 9 midwifery students from České Budějovice, Pilsen and Jihlava. After informants approvals, the interviews were recorded on a dictaphone with their consent, literally transcribed and analyzed. To evaluate the data, three categories and six subcategories were determined.Based on the above goal of this thesis, we set one research question. This research question examined the views of midwifery students on the profession of midwife.The research survey on the ideas of midwifery students showed that all the interviewed students did not know what competencies the midwife had before entering the midwifery study program. The research investigation showed that only one informant does not want to practice the profession of midwife. This informant stated that the profession of midwife is very stressful for her. The research also found that only one informant wants to work as a community midwife. Other informants agreed that they do not want to practice the profession of community midwife due to the great responsibility for pregnant women, the fetus, postpartum women or newborns. Only three informants did not mention anything that would not suit them in the profession of midwife. The disadvantages concered to less work with children further excessive stress and twelve-hour shifts in a hospital and irregular work in the maternity ward. Most of the informants agreed that they are not members and do not want to be part of the organization for midwives in the future. During the elaboration of the bachelor's thesis, we obtained the opinions, attitudes and ideas of students regarding the profession of midwife. The findings can be used by applicants for the midwifery study program to obtain information about the profession of midwife. This work could also be used by university teachers who teach midwives to be informed about the attitudes or ideas of midwives.

The bachelor thesis deals with the effect of the minimum wage on the labour market. In a literary research are describes the studies to date looking at the im-pact of the minimum wage, next the legislative adjustment of the minimum wage and the development of the minimum wage in the Czech Republic. The empirical part is focused at analysing selected professions with the lowest wages in the re-porting period of 2014-2018 and in the conclusion deal with the effect of the change in the minimum wage on selected professions is addressed. The source data was collected from databases Average earnings informations system, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and European statistical system.

This Bachelor Thesis looks into the topic of "The Influence of profession on lifestyle of midwives." It consists of a theoretical and a research part. In the introduction of the theoretical part, the profession of a midwife is outlined, along with health, its determinants and necessities. Some of the aforementioned necessities are dealt with in detail further. The research part consists of three main goals. The first goal of the Thesis was to find out, whether the profession has an influence on lifestyle of midwives. The second goal was aimed to determine, whether midwives keep the rules of a healthy lifestyle. The last goal of the research was to find out, whether the needs of midwives are somehow affected. To follow the aforementioned goals, three research question were formulated. The first question asks, which influence has the profession on midwives' lifestyle. The second question is aimed on the lifestyle the midwives keep, and the third question inquires, which of the midwives' needs are not fulfilled. For the research part, the qualitative inquiry has been chosen, where the data collection was realized using individual, in-depth, partially structured interviews, which were performed in the course of March 2019. For the interviews, 25 question were prepared in advance. The interviews were, with permission of the midwives, recorded on a dictation machine. First part of the interview were four identifying questions. Further, the midwives were expressing their subjective opinions on the topics of lifestyle, their profession and needs. The interviews were converted word-for-word into writing. For data processing, the text coloring method was used, i.e. paper and pencil. After sorting through and color-coding of acquired responses, three main categories and their subcategories were created. The first category named Lifestyle was split into five subcategories that deal with the meaning of the word lifestyle, food, free time, sleep and lifestyle of midwives. In the second category, the midwife's profession was defined, and following subcategories were created: Midwife in practice, Pros and cons of the midwife's profession and Carrier change. The last category deals with the needs of midwives and consists of subcategories of Need as a concept and Unfulfilled needs. The aim of the thesis is to determine, whether the midwives' profession somehow influences the lifestyle of midwives, what kind of health routine the midwives keep, and which needs are not fulfilled as a consequence of them performing their profession. The research investigation shows that the lifestyle of midwives is influenced by the three-shift work plan, but they don't perceive it as limiting in any way, because they have adapted to this kind of work plan. As they took this factor into account when choosing their career, they didn't consider it a serious issue. Further it was discovered that the lifestyle of midwives is influenced by their age and marriage status. The research investigation showed that midwives acquire lifestyle information predominantly from the internet. It further showed that despite the three-shift work plan, the midwives are trying to keep the healthy lifestyle, however their food habits are influenced by their age. In this career, the problem is not the composition of their diet, but the regularity of their nourishment. Here, the results correspond with next aim, which concerned the unfulfilled needs of midwives. The need of sleep is also not always fulfilled due to the night shifts. In their free time, the midwives predominantly relax or pursue their various hobbies. The research also shows that the midwives would decide to change their career only due to serious problems in the family or an attractive job offer.

The profession of a social worker has a significant role in the society context. The task of the social worker is to help people to solve their problems, cope with difficult everyday life situations, provide courage for active solutions and reinforce the responsibility for one's own life. This thesis presents the social worker's profession and it is divided into six main chapters. In theoretical segment social work is defined in the first chapter. The second chapter contains information on history of the social work and analyses the current state of it. The third chapter is devoted to the ethics of social work, ethical dilemmas, ethical code and professional values. The fourth chapter defines the social worker's profession, mentions the required personal qualities and competences as well as its roles. Furthermore, it describes the characteristics of the profession itself and professional identity, studies the prestige of the profession and education of social workers. The practical part starts with the fifth chapter and it maps the opinions of social workers about their profession. The research strategy, the selection of the respondents and course of the survey and the data evaluation methods are described there. The final chapter interprets the collected data and provides their graphical depictions.

The thesis focuses on the topic of the future of education and labor markets, which follows through the perspective of two scientific perspectives - social sciences and futurological sciences. The aim is to describe the view of these two disciplines on the future development of these two specific markets and to map the expected scenarios of the future development. The view of both disciplines is presented through qualitatively elaborated professional periodicals. The main topic addressed by the authors of both scientific disciplines was the impact of technological progress on the future of the labor markets and changes in the disappearance and creation of jobs. Another important element is connectivity and sharing. They enable modern digital platforms, information, procedures, education, overcome time and space constraints, and can be used by anyone with access to the necessary technology. The theme of the thesis is Nurse Profession from child patients point of view. Firstly, the topic of nursing, paediatrics, nursing profession is included. Then, the thesis deals with the responsibilities of a nurse and her role. Furthermore, the thesis includes topics such as the subject of the child patient, child development stages, specifics of the child's behaviour in the illness, the needs of the child and the communication of the nurse with the child. The work also solves the way how to properly treat a sick child and the rights of a child patient. The aims of the thesis are to: Map the views of child patients on the nurse profession in the hospital and find out what views the child patients have on the nurse profession in the outpatient department. The following research questions have been chosen: What views do the child patients have on the nurse profession? What views do child patients have on the nurse profession working in an outpatient department? To find out the views of children on the nurse profession, the qualitative research was chosen, through in-depth interview and analysis of essays. Children were interviewed at the age of 10 to 18 years. The analysis of the documents was done on essays from children attending 8th and 9th grade of basic school. The rewritten interviews and essays were subjected to analysis, using the paper and pencil method, by open coding. From the interview analysis were created four categories and four categories from the analysis of essays. Each category has subcategories where data is encoded The research shows that children have general knowledge of the nursing profession. They can imagine an ideal nurse. They have both positive and negative experience with the nurse, but the positive ones prevail. Children are also more satisfied with the nurse's attitude than dissatisfied. The best experience and attitude was assessed by the children at the GP's office, then by the hospital and the worst was in the specialized outpatient departments. The communication with the nurse and the nurse's behaviour is the most important for children.

Working motivation is an unthinkable part of every working process, from the point of employee’s and so of leader. Purpose of this Bachelor´s thesis was to process literary research about working motivation in two forestry proffesions, where was an emphasis on motivation structures, motivation to work and motivation related to the performance of work. In data analyzation interests of workers were examined and compared. Theses interests of workers was found out on the base of questionnaire, which the workers answered. Results of this thesis, which are shown in graphical and statistical form, are mainly about operations, that are popular in these proffesions or operetaions, that made workers to work in forest environment.

The bachelor thesis Female and male gender of nouns of professions (analysis based on corpus data) is divided into two parts. The theoretical part sums up the rules for gender inflection of professions in present-day Spanish. The theoretical part presents a comparison of various spanish grammar books, which deal with this topic. The section dedicated to the practical results attained from the research was completed by analysing selection of nouns of professions. Bachelor thesis "Nurse and her choice of care for the owen child" deals with the question of work - life balance. The work has a usual structure composed of two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part focuses on a topics that could influence the choice of child care and brings the basic knowledge on the established work topic by Czech analysis and foreign literky and magazíne informatik sources. The main points discussed in it include the profession of a nurse, role, family, maternity and the opportunities that lead to harmonize like work and family, areas that can influence the choice of child care. The empirici part has a traditional structure and describes the own investigation that has taken place in Motol Universtity Hospital within the Gynecological Obstretrics Clinic. At the beginning the objectives and working hypotheses related to the given topic, the methodology, the owen questionnaire surfy and the characteristics of the studied sample were set. This thesis is devoted to the teaching profession with a focus on nursery school teaching. The theoretical part contains information about teaching as a profession, focusing directly on the prestige of nursery school teachers and describes the contemporary aspects of prestige. Finally, it is described in detail the development of the profession preschool teacher, as a source of ongoing professionalisation of teaching. The main objective of the research is to compare how the prestige of pre-primary teachers evaluated by teachers from other educational levels and preschool educators themselves. Furthermore, to determine how different the results of the investigation work of the author and poll by the Centre for Public Opinion Research (Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění - CVVM) at the Institute of Sociology of the prestige of the profession of 2013 and 2016. Design survey is mixed. The method is a questionnaire, structured interviews and document analysis. The results show the relative agreement with research by CVVM.
