English: The objective of this material is for the medical professional or academic to know the main conducts in geriatrics to optimize the consultation in primary care. The main health problems and risks of the elderly will be addressed, focusing on: postural instability and falls in the elderly, urinary incontinence, brain failure, iatrogenesis and immobility, depression, chronic pain, constipation and diarrhea, osteoporosis and osteopenia, sarcopenia, oral health and violence and mistreatment. The protocols were drawn up from established literature (books, scientific articles, guidelines, manuals, protocols) in geriatrics, which also served as inspiration. We propose a focused and practical approach to the care of the elderly, guiding medical conduct within the context of a consultation in a basic health unit. For better guidance of the professional, information was added on the main national programs and addresses of services or regional centers of care for the elderly. Português: O objetivo deste material é que o profissional ou acadêmico(a) de medicina, conheça as principais condutas em geriatria para otimizar a consulta na atenção básica. Serão abordados os principais agravos e riscos à saú­de do idoso, com enfoque sobre: instabilidade postural e quedas no idoso, incontinência urinária, insuficiência cerebral, iatrogenia e imobilidade, depressão, dor crônica, constipação e diarreia, osteoporose e osteopenia, sarcopenia, saúde bucal e violência e maus tratos. Os protocolos foram elaborados a partir de literaturas consagradas (livros, artigos científicos, diretrizes, manuais, protocolos) na geriatria, que, igualmente, serviram de inspiração. Propomos uma abordagem direcionada e prática ao atendimento da pessoa idosa, norteando a conduta médica dentro do contexto de uma consulta em unidade básica de saúde. Para melhor orientação do profissional, foram adicionadas informações sobre os principais programas nacionais e endereços de serviços ou centros regionais de atenção à pessoa idosa.

Life cycle assessment has been carried out for the existing highway bridge in urban area. Environmental impacts from material production, construction, operation, dismantlement, abandonment and recycling stages, are analyzed by cost evaluation technique. Focusing points are a comparison of the amounts of the influence between stages and a comparison of the influences between environmental aspect and also between environmental elements especially from construction related aspect.

Dissertação de Mestrado apresentada ao Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada para obtenção de grau de Mestre na especialidade de Psicologia Clínica. Este trabalho apresenta como métodos a aplicação da Observação mãe/bebé de Esthér Bick em habitat natural, entrevista semi-directiva efectuada a cada uma das mães e uma entrevista anamnésica. Utilizou-se a análise de conteúdo, sendo que a apresentação dos dados qualitativos da análise de conteúdo foi feita através de uma tabela desenvolvida pela Prof. Ana Paula Rocha no âmbito do Seminário de Monografia de 2003. Com este trabalho pretendeu-se avaliar a importância da figura paterna na relação mãe - bebé e de que forma o seu impacto na díade, favoreceria a qualidade de vinculação entre a mãe e o seu filho. Para tal, foram observadas quatro tríades com estatutos sócio-económicos pouco díspares entre elas. A primeira observação em todas as tríades foi realizada, quando os bebés tinham um mês de vida. Foi possível identificar interacções mãe-pai-bebé, caracterizá-las e ilustrar a natureza diferenciada das actividades observadas em cada um dos casos. O conceito de unidade originária foi o ponto de partida para a realização deste estudo, havendo como pressuposto, a sua presença nas famílias estudadas. A influência directa e positiva de terceiros na relação da díade também foram analisadas, as avós em dois dos casos e a empregada num outro. Alguns dos sentimentos e sensações da observadora foram comuns em diferentes tríades, o que pode evidenciar, de acordo com o método desenvolvido por Esthér Bick, que ocorreram experiências sentidas como semelhantes em alguns dos quatro casos observados. The method applied to this study was the Esther Bick mother/baby observation in their natural habitat. Each mother was subjected to two interviews: a partly directed and an anamnestic one. The results were studied using a contents analysis. The presentation of the qualitative data of the contents analysis was made through a table developed by Professor Ana Rocha in her “Seminário de Monografia” in 2003. The aim of this study was to evaluate the importance of the father figure in the relationship mother/baby and how its impact could favour the quality of the bonding between the mother and her baby. Four groups of threesomes of families, similar in economical background were the object of this study. The first observation took place when the babies were a month old. It was possible to identify the interactions mother/father/baby, characterize them and show the nature of the different activities, in each one of the cases. The starting point was the concept of the primary family, presupposing its presence in each one of the studied families. Also studied were the direct and positive influences, of a third party in the twosome relationship: grandmothers in two cases and a housekeeper in another. Some of the feelings and sensations of the observer were the same in different threesomes, which can show, according to the method developed by Esther Bick that similar experiences occurred in some of the four studied cases.
