Although sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) affect people of all ages, they occur mainly in young people between 15 and 24 years old. They represent just over a quarter of the sexually active population; they are responsible for half of the 20 million new STDs occurring each year in the United States. Among the most frequent etiological agents are Chlamydia trachomatis, gonorrhoea, syphilis, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Human Papillomavirus (HPV), herpes simplex, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), inguinal granuloma and Mycoplasma genitalium among other. In adolescents, these occur for different reasons: behavioural and social context, variations in biological maturation, the age of initiation of sexual relations, the type and number of sexual partners; condom use (appropriately), access to quality healthcare services, joint it with financial means; and educational and employment choices create a confluence of factors that can protect against STDs. In another context, they are related to sexual abuse, labour abuse, and sexual exploitation for commercial purposes. There is only one vaccine for HPV as a specific protection measure. This research seeks to know the experience of participants -15 caregivers of children between 4 and 12 years old from two schools with a high vulnerability index in Santiago de Chile and 4 facilitators - in the GenerationPMTO program adapted to a remote modality, in the context of the COVID-19 health crisis. A descriptive, exploratory, qualitative study was carried out. Semi-structured interviews with 15 caregivers from both schools participating in the program; one focus group with 4 facilitators who implemented the online program; and a documentary review of the journals registered by the facilitators after each session were conducted. The information collected was analyzed qualitatively through the open coding procedures of Grounded Theory. After that, the perspectives of both groups were gathered through an integrated analysis. From the experience of participants, the online adaptation of the program was successful since the facilitators were able to develop the contents and strategies of the intervention in virtual mode, and the families were able to participate and learn them from their homes. This was compatible with physical distancing (given the COVID-19 pandemic) and allowed caregivers' participation in the program to be compatible with other life activities. Among challenges, strengthening group participation and cohesion were highlighted, as well as overcoming barriers related to unstable internet connection and/or inappropriate home conditions to participate. These results show a successful adaptation of the program from the perspective of its participants, providing insights that contribute to improve the adaptation of this and other programs to virtual modality. Objective. In response to the growing threat of pandemic risks and the recent experience of the Covid-19 pandemic, UNAM through the PUIREE carried out a multidisciplinary analysis to identify and prioritize essential actions for the response to pandemics in Mexico. Materials and methods. The structured Delphi method of communication and analysis was used, and a questionnaire was presented to the health and life experts. In three meetings, discussions were held about the actions that should contain a pandemic preparedness and response plan for Mexico. Results. Key areas of intervention were identified: the need for effective coordination between all levels of Government, health institutions and diverse sectors of the population; the importance of a transparent and effective communication system, as well as the strengthening of infrastructure and trained human resources for health care in public institutions. The need to invest in research and development to ensure self-sufficiency in the production of vaccines and medicines, as well as the implementation of early physical distancing and confinement measures, was also highlighted. Conclusions. Effective pandemic preparedness requires immediate actions to achieve comprehensive and multidisciplinary planning, as well as collaboration and communication between academies and related sectors to minimize the impact and threats of future pandemics. The birth of a child has been associated with a decline in couple satisfaction, which has implications for the child's social‐emotional development. This study investigated the potential spillover effect on pregnant women's perceptions of their relationships with their partners of the Supporting the Transition to and Engagement in Parenthood (STEP) program, a brief trauma‐informed mentalization‐based prenatal group intervention. Participants (94% White) were recruited in prenatal clinics and through online advertisements in Quebec, Canada. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected from participants assigned to the STEP program (n = 42) and those receiving treatment‐as‐usual (TAU; n = 125). Women participating in STEP reported significant improvements in their relationships with their partners compared to those assigned to TAU. More precisely, they reported higher couple satisfaction, enhanced communication, and increased interest in their partners' emotional experience. The qualitative analysis further substantiated these results, with participants reporting having involved their partners in their pregnancy, shared their insights about themselves with their partners and gained fresh perspectives on their relationships. Participants in STEP also expressed sharing program materials with their partners and considered that such interventions should be extended to expecting fathers. This study underscores the potential of mentalization‐based interventions to indirectly contribute to couple relationships, which may have positive implications for parenting and the infant. Introducción. Es imprescindible insertar a la familia en los programas de prevención e intervención del acoso. Por otra parte, las últimas investigaciones destacan la relevancia de analizar los factores que influyen en la perpetración del ciberacoso. Sin embargo, la investigación sobre la influencia de las variables sociofamiliares en los ciberagresores es limitada. Junto a ello, consideramos importante tener en cuenta las etapas de desarrollo en la adolescencia, ya que las relaciones familiares con los hijos se van modificando a lo largo de este periodo. El objetivo de este estudio ha sido analizar la influencia del apoyo social familiar, del clima familiar y de las emociones placenteras hacia el ciberacoso en los comportamientos de ciberagresión, incluyendo como variable de análisis la implicación en la cibervictimización, a través de las etapas de desarrollo de la adolescencia. Metodología. La muestra de estudio fue de 1029 adolescentes (26.9% adolescentes tempranos, 49.1% en la adolescencia media y un 24.0% en la adolescencia tardía). Los datos fueron recogidos empleando cuestionarios estandarizados de las variables de estudio. Resultados. Los resultados obtenidos señalan que en todas las etapas de la adolescencia la cibervictimización (temprana: OR= 1.94, IC= 1.15, 3.26; media: OR= 1.61, IC= 1.30, 1.61; tardía: OR= 1.15, IC= 1.02, 1.29) y las emociones placenteras hacia el ciberacoso (temprana: OR= 1.44, IC= 1.03, 2.02; media: OR= 1.40, IC= 1.09, 1.81; tardía OR= 1.44, IC= 1.03, 2.02) incrementan la probabilidad de ser ciberacosador. En la adolescencia temprana la cohesión familiar protege de ser ciberagresor (OR= 0.01, IC= 0.03. 0.16) y en la adolescencia media experimentar conflictos familiares actúan como factor de riesgo de ser ciberacosador (OR= 3.10, IC= 1.71, 5.59). Discusión. Los resultados coinciden con otros estudios que confirman la influencia de la familia como agente social relevante para la intervención en el ciberacoso. Nuestro trabajo aporta como aspecto novedoso la relevancia de esas variables atendiendo al periodo evolutivo de la adolescencia. Muestran el peso de la cohesión en la adolescencia temprana y de los conflictos durante la adolescencia media. Respecto a las emociones placenteras ante el ciberacoso, de forma similar a investigaciones previas, aparecen con significación como factor de riesgo del comportamiento de ciberagresión durante todo el periodo de la adolescencia. Conclusiones. Las conclusiones del trabajo pueden guiar a los profesionales del trabajo social para realizar un acercamiento preventivo del ciberacoso desde las familias. Desde un clima familiar positivo, manteniendo la familia como unidad, con una elevada cohesión durante la adolescencia temprana y una resolución de conflictos positiva en la adolescencia media, los trabajadores sociales pueden actuar en la prevención e intervención del comportamiento de ciberagresión.

Emotional disorders (EDs) are the most common disorders among the young population. The development of preventive programs for EDs is essential to avoid their possible appearance. Transdiagnostic prevention programs could present an advantage over existing ones to improve emotional regulation strategies. Thus, the objective of this study has been to determine the preliminary feasibility and effectiveness of a brief program based on the Unified Protocol (UP). The project consisted of a pilot study using a multiple baseline experimental design. Nine university students received a 5-session program based on the UP in online-group format. Significant differences were found after the intervention for emotion regulation, perceived social support and avoidance, with moderatelarge effect sizes (Cohen's r = .49 - .59). These improvements showed increases at 1-month and 3-month follow-ups. Those results are in line with those showing that brief transdiagnostic preventive programs could be useful for the prevention of EDs in the university population. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Scholars have charted a dramatic rise in the use of preemption both at the federal and state levels since the 1970s, with courts and politicians from both parties enacting preemptions across a range of contentious issues. Thus, preemption is a critical feature of American policymaking—one that almost certainly shapes the political choices of policymakers, organized interests, and voters across levels of government. Despite its significance to the politics of policymaking, scholars have yet to systematically consider the political consequences of preemption. We apply the logic of policy feedback theory to create a framework for analyzing the political consequences of preemption. Specifically, we detail how the use of both federal‐state and state‐local preemption might produce unique resource and interpretive effects that shape the subsequent political behaviors of policymakers, organized interests, and the public. We then consider two illustrative cases—federal preemption of state consumer financial protections and state preemption of local gender identity anti‐discrimination statutes—to demonstrate our framework's application. The article addresses a gap in the preemption literature and provides a critical extension of policy feedback theory, proposing a research agenda for future work to help better understand the politics of a widely used policy tool.
