Related Articles This article examines the narrative framework in European Union (EU) research and innovation projects, focusing on symbolic practices and terminology. The analysis includes over five years of ethnographic research, and 20 European projects funded by Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, and Erasmus+ programs. It explores different ways project actors internalize and reproduce the EU's symbolic power through its policies, particularly the ambiguous concept of “innovation.” Using Bourdieu's theory of practice, the research highlights the way social structures within the “project field” influence dynamics and outcomes, often resulting in a gap between rhetoric and reality. The study also uncovers broader political and social implications of these practices, calling for critical reflection of their impact. The politics of public space, such as food and retail markets, has predominantly been studied from place-based perspectives. Most studies focus on the intercultural interactions and social dynamics of inclusion and exclusion as they develop in these places. Less research attention has been devoted, however, to how questions of accessibility and emplacement are intrinsically related to everyday mobilities that surround and come together in public space. By interviewing and physically following market traders who work on the central outdoor market of a town in the Netherlands, this article approaches traders’ mobilities to and away from markets as social practices that involve careful navigation. Three contrasting narratives of mobility-as-navigation are outlined, relating to the stories of the ‘established’, ‘searching’ and ‘roaming’ trader. The findings demonstrate that differences in navigation can be explained by the interdependencies between both individual and material/structural factors. The focus on mobility-as-navigation reveals not only the complex and sometimes contested ways in which people differently move to and away from public space, but it also shows how it leads to differentiated presence on, and access to, these places. La vida cotidiana en España ha experimentado, desde inicios de 2020, el impacto de las restricciones establecidas como consecuencia de la pandemia de coronavirus. Se presenta aquí un primer acercamiento empírico a las huellas que ha dejado en la vida cotidiana, midiendo resiliencia e histéresis en dos dimensiones, emocional y conductual. Se analiza la encuesta “Barómetro de junio de 2022” del CIS, estudiando cómo las modificaciones observadas en las formas de saludo interpersonal muestran la presencia de histéresis y resiliencia, estableciendo posteriormente su dependencia de variables como edad, género y riesgo percibido mediante la especificación de un modelo estructural de covarianzas. La edad, el género y el riesgo percibido muestran valor explicativo significativo de los fenómenos de histéresis y resiliencia. Finalmente, se confirman dos tipos de histéresis, emocional y conductual, así como la complementariedad teórica y empírica entre resiliencia e histéresis.

Este artículo aborda la cuestión relativa a la crisis de la efectividad de los derechos humanos y fundamentales. Se trata de un desafío que requiere compromiso, vigilancia, responsabilidad compartida. Los derechos son una herramienta indispensable para expresar el valor de la dignidad que está ligada a la vulnerabilidad como condición humana común. Los derechos son un tipo de práctica social encaminada a su implementación y concreción. Está formada por principios, reglas, instituciones, procedimientos, actitudes, actos de interpretación. Esta práctica juega un papel importante para contrarrestar y eliminar las situaciones que producen violaciones de los sujetos en sus múltiples diferencias y existencias específicas.

This paper deals with the question regarding the crisis of the effectiveness of human and fundamental rights. This is a challenge that requires commitment, vigilance, shared liability. Rights are an indispensable tool for expressing the value of dignity that is linked to vulnerability as a common human condition. Rights are a type of social practice aimed at their implementation and concretization. It is made up of principles, rules, institutions, procedures, attitudes, acts of interpretation. This practice plays an important role in countering and eliminating the situations that produce violations concerning the subjects in their multiple differences and specific existences. This study aims to understand how teachers who teach Mathematics in Basic Education relate their experiences to learning aimed at challenging the exercise paradigm. To do so, we start from an understanding of teacher learning as a change in their participation in school pedagogical practice. The data for this qualitative study were produced through semi-structured interviews with six teachers who teach Mathematics in Basic Education. The analysis indicates that these teachers relate the way they challenge the exercise paradigm in the school context to a dynamic process of learning, in which various shared practices are involved. Thus, we highlight the relevance of the articulation between teachers' life experiences and initial and continuing education courses and programs, so that different modes of professional action are offered to them. This writing presents a reflection on road cycling as a sociocultural phenomenon of the Colombian reality, based on three questions: Is road cycling a physical practice? Is road cycling a social practice? And Is road cycling an expression? Which are procedurally resolved to answer the central question: Is road cycling a constitutive of the Colombian sociocultural reality? For its development, the discussion around cycling as a body practice, social practice and expression is taken as a basis, aspects that make this sport a constitutive of the Colombian sociocultural reality. It is concluded that road cycling in Colombia is a construction of the reality of those who are involved with it, and in turn, is constitutive of the recent history of their society, a condition that makes possible it's positioning in the consciousness of Colombians. Introduction: Scientifics have explored the intellectual capacities of animals, their importance for the physical and emotional health of humans, its use as subjects for biomedical and psychological research. However, little attention has been involved to studying how lay people think about these types of social practices. The objective of this research was to present the results of the evaluations of social practices involving animals in entertainment, industrial production, biological and psychological research. The practices were evaluated on the following dimensions: ethics, legal, intellectual capacities, benefits for the physical and emotional health of people; and concern for their well-being. Method: An instrument based on a mapping sentence and composed of 28 items was responded online by 255 people, men and women with the condition of having a pet or not. Item responses were analyzed using multidimensional scaling analysis. Results: It is evident people's concern for the conditions in which the animals are used particularly in people that have or has have pets. Conclusions: The findings are discussed on the evidence that support the mapping sentence, and on the proposal for new studies on social practices involving lay people. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Starting from two assumptions, 1) language is essentially political, not essentially communicative, and informative (Deleuze & Guattari, 1980), and 2) language intervenes in the way social practices are organized, represented, defended, or fought (Magalhães, Martinz, & Resende, 2017). The aim of this article is to present the minor variant as a conceptual and political tool for minorities in contemporary times. For this, we describe relationships between the concepts of “majority”, “minority” and “becomingminority” (Deleuze, 1979), for the study of the functioning of the minor variant. Based on these concepts, we fostered a discussion about major and minor languages in Brazil (Deleuze, 2010), and then moved this discussion to literature, based on the concept of “minor literature” (Deleuze & Guattari, 1975). Finally, we present the problem of language as a watchword (Deleuze & Guattari, 1980). We conclude the discussion by proposing the minor variant as a language mitigation tool that intervenes in the production, circulation and reception of images and texts in different social practices. Based on fieldwork in the UK and Portugal, this paper considers the relationships between cultural analyses of taste and the embodied activity of tasting. As part of a wider project on the multiple ontologies of 'freshness', the paper conceptualises taste as an emergent effect of tasting practices. Drawing on evidence from a series of 'tasting events' (where research participants were recorded shopping, cooking and eating a meal with friends and family), the paper explores the multiple dimensions of taste concluding that even the most personal and sensory aspects of tasting food involve a social dimension which we interpret through the lens of practice theory. The paper identifies three specific dimensions of tasting as a social practice involving food's material and visceral qualities; the links between embodiment and emotion; and the contextual significance of family and social relations. Our findings contribute to recent debates about 'making taste public', even in the apparently private context of household consumption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The objective of this article is to investigate elements that characterize relationships with mathematics, pointed out by researchers of stricto sensu productions developed based on the theoretical contribution of the relation to knowledge. For that, it follows a qualitative approach guided by principles of content analysis. Data production involves the analysis of stricto sensu works identified through a mapping that composes a national panorama in three repositories: REPERES, BDTD and Capes Catalogue, in addition to three interviews and 13 questionnaires, answered by authors and/or supervisors of some of these dissertations and theses. The data systematization is done in five categories created a posteriori, namely: philosophical currents; scientific and school knowledge; interdisciplinary aspects; sociocultural aspects, and social practices. Among the results, we observed that all subjects consider mathematics as a human creation, highlighting, mainly, influences on the development of society resulting from knowledge built by different social groups. It is also possible to identify understandings referring mathematical knowledge as scientific and school-related, but such denomination has a more relevant potential in a didactic point of view, rather than a conceptual one. Regarding the philosophical currents logicism, formalism and intuitionism, it appears that logicism gained greater prominence, through the characterization of nature and mathematical structures; Understandings referring to school and scientific mathematical knowledge are also identified, but this denomination has a more relevant potential from a didactic than a conceptual point of view. As for the mathematical language, there are incidences linked to formalism, interdisciplinary, sociocultural aspects and in school and scientific mathematics. Moreover, it is noteworthy that the humanist perspective linked to social practices and sociocultural aspects are the most frequently established relationships. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

El presente artículo propone una revisión del concepto de “retórica” postulado por el Grupo µ a partir de la noción de práctica de Louis Althusser y de la teoría semiótica de Charles S. Peirce. En este marco, la retórica –o la aprehensión retórica de un discurso– es entendida no sólo como una superposición dialéctica de grados, sino también como un proceso de transformación que involucra una materia prima, un producto y un criterio de transformación. El foco del artículo está puesto en comprender cómo se produce la transformación de ciertos discursos cuando ingresan en el proceso retórico. A partir del análisis de discursos poéticos contemporáneos –visuales, escultóricos, exhibitorios, entre otros–, buscamos demostrar que la transformación que realiza un discurso retórico involucra tres clases de intervenciones sobre sus materias primas: una teórica –la definición ontológica–, una económica –la relativa a su disponibilidad en un mercado de bienes–, y una política –su posicionamiento en relación con los ámbitos de pertenencia y regulación de estas materias primas–. El reconocimiento de estas intervenciones y la identificación de la instancia dominante pueden ayudar a caracterizar la estrategia material en el análisis retórico de un discurso.

El objetivo principal de esta investigación es caracterizar la práctica de graficación en estudiantes del primer semestre de Ingeniería Física dentro de situaciones experimentales en un contexto de laboratorio. Para ello se utiliza una metodología etnográfica en la toma de datos y se integra a esta investigación un marco de referencia que considera a la graficación como una práctica social. Para el análisis se hace uso de cinco componentes en ambientes científicos: inquietudes en desarrollo, prácticas estándar, recursos materiales, recursos lingüísticos y rupturas. La intención es dar cuenta de los enfrentamientos, dificultades y participación de un grupo de 44 alumnos de primer semestre en Ingeniería Física, en la práctica social de graficación, mientras construyen e interpretan gráficas cartesianas. Por tanto, se presenta una síntesis de los resultados obtenidos y se logra mostrar una categorización de los componentes de la graficación durante la práctica experimental, y se asume que dicha categorización permitió caracterizar algunas dificultades que presentan los estudiantes en la interpretación y construcción de gráficas cartesianas.

The article briefly characterizes user studies in Information Science and goes on to set out the Information Science paradigms and relate them to the different approaches employed in the studies of information users. With its focus on the social prism and the perspective of informational practices, the text goes deeper into these concepts and presents three examples of research developed in this light. El siguiente artículo realiza un recorrido teórico sobre el juego, a través de diferentes autores que describen su naturaleza, características, aplicaciones e impacto en las personas. Esto con el fin de reflexionar acerca de los elementos extrapolados a los videojuegos; una extensión de la práctica del juego llevado a cabo en un ambiente digital.

Este trabajo pretende caracterizar las prácticas sociales asociadas a la génesis de la inducción matemática para dar sentido o significado a la inducción matemática. Primeramente, se hizo una revisión bibliográfica en torno a la problemática de la inducción matemática. Después, se efectuó un análisis histórico-epistemológico de la génesis de la inducción matemática comprendiendo dos épocas: la época de los siglos anteriores al siglo XVI y la de los siglos XVI y XVII. Basándonos en la aproximación teórica de la socioepistemología se identificó la práctica social asociada a la inducción matemática: la demostración. Considerando esta práctica, se analizó la existencia de elementos útiles para lograr un rediseño del discurso matemático escolar considerando al estudiantado de ingeniería (varias). En esta exploración cuatro estudiantes y dos docentes participaron. A través de un cuestionario exploramos las dificultades que el alumnado encuentra al resolver problemas de inducción matemática. Se concluye que la inducción matemática es un método de demostración importante en las matemáticas, pero debido a la práctica social de la demostración asociada a su génesis se infiere que su resignificación es muy compleja e inapropiada para llevarla al aula de estudiantes de ingeniería. Por ello, se recomienda un análisis histórico-epistemológico del siglo XVIII a la fecha para considerar el rediseño del discurso escolar.

Resumen Este artículo tuvo como objetivo develar las representaciones sociales de mujeres víctimas, agresores y prestatarios/as de servicios legitimadoras de violencia de pareja desde la estructura de género y práctica social en el distrito de Barranquilla, Colombia. Esta es una investigación cualitativa, con diseño fenomenológico-hermenéutico y teoría de representaciones sociales, que empleó como técnicas entrevistas a profundidad y análisis de contenido. Los hallazgos mostraron que la violencia para regular comportamiento, validación por celotipia, medidas conciliatorias y el supuesto agrado de las mujeres son formas legitimadoras de violencia en parejas heterosexuales. Se concluye que esta violencia se ha legitimado y naturalizado por el anclaje de representaciones, estereotipos y creencias, que ratifican el control de los hombres sobre las mujeres, en especial de su sexualidad y su cuerpo, como cosas de propiedad para el deleite y formas de autoridad, poder, control y desigualdad, que, a su vez, son permeadas por el modelo patriarcal.

According to a 2015 study by the British NGO Oxfam, the World Bank estimated that 700 million people were living in extreme poverty, earning less than $ 1.90 a day. In Brazil, the income of the poorest 50% increased at a faster rate than that of the richest 10%, but still the difference between the two groups increased. These data denounce the existence of an ongoing civilizational crisis, deflated by the unprecedented exploration of natural and human resources, from the Eurocentric modernity of the United States, which invaded Latin American territories. Currently, such a crisis has been exacerbated by the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic, also known as Covid-19. Environmental education, especially by some of its currents, has sought to adopt practices that allow the resignification of the relationship between human beings and nature, the aim of enabling paths that, rather than affirming life, reproduce and develop, in its anthropological, ecological, economic, political and socio-environmental fields. Thus, this article aims, using the methodological apparatus of bibliographic review, to present the concepts around environmental education, once it has historically been constituted as a social practice capable of enhancing an emancipatory, liberating, autonomous human formation and collaborative. This article proposes a review of the concept of "rhetoric" postulated by the Group µ based on the notion of practice by Louis Althusser and the semiotic theory of Charles S. Peirce. In this framework, the rhetoric -or the rhetorical apprehension of a discourse- is understood not only as a dialectical overlap of degrees, but also as a transformation process that involves a raw material, a product and a transformation criterion. The focus of the article is on understanding how the transformation of certain discourses occurs when they enter the rhetorical process. From the analysis of contemporary poetic discourses -visual, sculptural, exhibition, among others-, we seek to demonstrate that the transformation made by a rhetorical discourse involves three kinds of interventions on their raw materials: a theoretical one -the ontological definition-, an economic one -the one related to its availability in a market of goods-, and a policy -its positioning in relation to the areas of belonging and regulation of these raw materials. The recognition of these interventions and the identification of the dominant instance can help characterize the material strategy in the rhetorical analysis of a discourse. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Los estilos de vida, considerados patrones de comportamiento influyen en la salud de la población, y los hábitos alimentarios uno de sus componentes. El habitus bajo la forma de disposiciones durables es construido sobre la base de la cultura correspondida con determinado tipo de conocimientos, ideas, valores, habilidades, entre otras. Las condiciones comunes que caracterizan algunas prácticas sociales como los hábitos alimentarios generados por el habitus son en consecuencia los estilos de vida saludables, prioritarios en “La promoción de la salud “contemplada en la Carta de Ottawa. Se sondea puntos de vista de autores como Pierre Bourdieu y Michael Foucault quienes contribuyen significativamente a desplegar sentires de como a través de la experiencia y de las prácticas se forman los modos y estilos de vida en particular de importancia para la salud. En este documento se pretende describir algunas consideraciones que resaltan la importancia de los estilos de vida saludable como procesos sociales que favorecen la Salud Pública, en especial aquellos relacionados con la práctica social de los hábitos alimentarios.

This article shows in a concise way the proposal of a model for reception studies of community radios. This is result of a collaborative research process with five community radio stations in Bogotá, Cundinamarca, Boyacá and Santander. Under the assumption that it is an open model and that it does not claim universality, the authors leaves some guiding theoretical and methodological assumptions and presents a route so that other community radio experiences can adapt it to their own history and contexts of conformation. The Concept of Law and the Knowledge of What is Just According to Francesco Viola O conceito de direito e o conhecimento do justo em Francesco Viola El autor explica sistemática y críticamente la visión de Francesco Viola sobre el derecho y su cognoscibilidad. Ambos puntos son, dada la inusual perspectiva de Viola, inseparables, pues, para Viola, el significado focal de diritto es una práctica social constituida por los actos de interpretación que sus participantes hacen de la misma, al reconocerla como valor que se debe seguir. La conclusión de este estudio es que, sin perjuicio de ciertas objeciones que se le deben hacer a Viola –a saber, la incoherencia de su pensamiento, por decirse iusnaturalista a la vez que defiende tesis cercanas al relativismo–, su comprensión del razonamiento práctico como prudencia y la necesidad del casuismo como método jurídico son auténticas contribuciones al debate sobre la ley natural. Objetivo. Reflexionar sobre las dinámicas de reincidencia de las prácticas sociales violentas en la población en proceso de reintegración y su relación con la política nacional de reintegración económica y social, ya que la tasa de reincidencia es significativa. Metodología. Reconociendo los avances y retrocesos se realizó una revisión documental de la normativa vigente y de algunas investigaciones realizadas sobre la reincidencia de la población en proceso de reintegración. Posteriormente se analizaron los factores que explican la reincidencia con un corpus de historias de vida de participantes de la Agencia Colombiana para la Reintegración. Resultados. Se encontró poca información estadística oficial, así como los factores culturales y sociales pueden ser determinantes para la reincidencia más que el factor económico. Conclusión. Es necesario orientar el análisis de la política nacional de reintegración económica y social en las prácticas sociales de la población reintegrada para construir estrategias de larga duración que permitan disminuir la reincidencia.

La extensión, entendida como práctica social trae consigo la pregunta por el sentido de la universidad y su proyecto ante las expectativas y las múltiples demandas societales. Como institución educativa, la universidad, desde sus orígenes, ha formado personas y ha desarrollado el conocimiento. Relacionar la educación superior con las dinámicas contextuales implica instalar a la extensión como diálogo interactuante entre los diversos sujetos sociales. En este marco, lo público adquiere nuevas dimensiones y relieve, y exige repensar la idea de comunicación como instancia constitutiva del cuerpo colectivo.

La competencia cultural en Trabajo Social ha sido reconocida por la Asociación Nacional de Trabajadores Sociales de Estados Unidos como un estándar básico de la profesión. El objetivo de este estándar es que los trabajadores y las trabajadoras sociales posean un conocimiento de la cultura de los clientes y las habilidades necesarias para proporcionarles una atención y unos servicios sensibles con su cultura. Sin embargo, la competencia cultural en Trabajo Social plantea importantes dificultades teóricas, prácticas y educativas. En este artículo se revisan en profundidad las distintas críticas que ha recibido el trabajo social culturalmente sensible. Un aspecto crucial para la práctica social es la enseñanza-aprendizaje de la competencia cultural. Tras analizar la situación en los títulos de grado en Trabajo Social en España se propone una aproximación multidimensional, holística e integrada que dé respuesta a las necesidades formativas de los futuros profesionales. Se sugiere, a partir de los resultados, la incorporación sistemática de la competencia cultural en los planes de estudios y la generación de resultados de aprendizaje en componentes básicos de la misma como la auto-conciencia, la comunicación efectiva, la toma de decisiones, el afrontamiento de situaciones en contextos interculturales y la comprensión de diferentes realidades socioculturales.

Este trabajo propone abordar la problemática del paisaje dentro del campo de la arqueología, considerando las recientes perspectivas teórico-metodológicas y los aportes de otras disciplinas, así como el impacto recíproco entre estos avances y la gestión patrimonial. Para ello, es preciso transitar por la denominada Arqueología del Paisaje, en referencia al conjunto heterogéneo de estudios sobre la dimensión espacial caracterizados por una profunda reflexión crítica sobre el tema, junto con nuevas conceptualizaciones y vías de análisis del paisaje, centradas en la práctica social, percepción, la experiencia, el movimiento y la temporalidad. En este marco, son contemplados también algunos de los aportes decisivos de otras disciplinas, como la geografía humanista, la teoría de la estructuración social, la semiótica, la proxémica, la sintaxis espacial, etc. Para comprender más cabalmente la aplicación de los nuevos enfoques y métodos, son importantes en este trabajo los ejemplos y estudios de casos que muestran la manera de abordar integralmente aspectos centrales de la espacialidad, como la visibilidad, la circulación o la formación de paisajes culturales. Finalmente, se considera la influencia que estos enfoques han ejercido en el ámbito de la gestión patrimonial, así como el claro impacto de esta sobre el rol y las metas de la práctica arqueológica.

The present text aims to discuss theoretically about interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity as alternatives for the realization of a social practice in the contemporary educational context. The essay focuses on the debate around interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity as potential changes in the present, using the use of history, to understand the pedagogical conceptions that permeate the formation and the action in a context marked by intense transformations. The presentation of the conceptual framework is anchored in authors of reference and especially in the philosopher and epistemologist Hilton Japiassu to address the reasons why the complexity and plural form of the school characterize its dynamism, expressing a certain hybridism that is fundamental to breaking with the hierarchical forms of curricular organization, articulating the practical knowledge to the academic knowledge, through concrete actions in a real teaching situation and in a transdisciplinary perspective. The author offers a systematic and critical explanation of Francesco Viola's vision of the law and its knowableness. Both points, given Viola's unusual perspective, are inseparable. For Viola, the focal significance of diritto is that of a social practice constituted by the participants' interpretation of the practice itself, in recognizing it as a value that should be pursued. The conclusion of this study is that, notwithstanding certain obvious objections to Viola; namely, the inconsistency in his thinking by calling himself a jusnaturalist while, at the same time, defending certain theses close to relativism, his understanding of practical reasoning as prudence and the need for casuistry as a legal method are genuine contributions to the debate on natural law. Objective. To reflect on the dynamics of recidivism of violent social practices in the population in the process of reintegration and its relationship with the national policy of economic and social reintegration, since the rate of recidivism is significant. Methodology. Recognizing the advances and setbacks, a documentary review of the current regulations and of some investigations carried out on the recidivism of the population in the reintegration process was carried out. Subsequently, the factors that explain the recidivism with a corpus of life stories of participants of the Colombian Agency for Reintegration were analyzed. Results. Little official statistical information was found, as well as it was determined that cultural and social factors may be determinant for recidivism rather than the economic factor. Conclusion. It is necessary to guide the analysis of the national policy of economic and social reintegration in the social practices of the reintegrated population in order to construct long-term strategies that allow the reduction of recidivism.
