Background: The Turkish and Syrian earthquake on February 6th 2023, was one of the deadliest earthquakes in the last decade. It affected approximately 26 million people and left at least 50.000 dead. In this paper, we analyzed the psychological impact and the relationship between mental health factors, earthquake-related experiences and stressors, and resources related to the earthquake, 4 months after the event. Methods: We conducted an analytical cross-sectional study, applying a survey to 320 adults (18–93 years old) in Adiyaman, Turkey. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms were assessed using the PC-PTSD, general psychiatric morbidity using the GHQ-12, together with questions focusing on suicidality, drug abuse, as well as experiences, related stressors and received support related to the earthquake. Results: We found a high prevalence of general mental health symptoms, and of PTSD. Fear of aftershocks and the loss of close family members were found to be risk factors for such symptoms. We didn't find significant differences in the GHQ or the PC-PTSD scores when considering ethnicity, religion or financial income. Conclusions: High levels of general mental health symptoms and PTSD symptoms were found 4 months after the earthquake and need to be addressed in all groups, independently from potential religious, social or ethnic backgrounds. Art therapy Open studio practices facilitated within disaster management emphasize supporting recovery, building resilience, and offering emotional safety and containment. Based on the author's art making processes, she advocates for future considerations of utilizing the psychotherapeutic benefits of clay within an Open Studio Art therapy framework, to further complement existing emergency disaster Psychological First Aid models, which attend to Trauma and Stressor related mental health disorders. Objective: Pathological responses can occur in the aftermath of traumatic experiences, alongside positive changes in levels of functioning, such as Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). Neurocognitive flexibility involves the adaptive restructuring of information in response to changing conditions. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential impact of neurocognitive flexibility on PTG. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and PTG are examined together. Method: A total of 96 participants of had a traffic accident, consisting of 43 individuals with a diagnosis of PTSD and 53 without a diagnosis of PTSD, participated in the study. Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5, Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale, Sociodemographic and Trauma-Related Characteristics Data Form, Life Events Checklist for DSM-5, PTSD Checklist for DSM-5, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 42, Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory, Stroop Test, Trail Making Test, and Category Fluency Test were used as assessment tools. Results: According to correlation analyses, weak significant relationships were found between the PTG inventory subdimension of changes in life philosophy and neurocognitive flexibility scores. Statistically significant relationships were found between PTSD and neurocognitive flexibility scores. However, no significant relationship was found between PTSD and PTG. Linear regression analyses revealed a trend between PTG inventory and Category Fluency scores. Discussion: This study is the first in Turkey to examine the relationship between PTG and neurocognitive flexibility using neuropsychological tests. Including tests that measure neurocognitive flexibility in future studies with a larger sample size could yield more specific and robust findings. Investigating the impact of neurocognitive flexibility is theoretically important for understanding the cognitive variables that affect PTG and can help plan psychological interventions that encompass neurocognitive flexibility. This study investigated the relationship between traumatic experiences during peacekeeping operations in Lebanon (UNIFIL) between 1978 – 1998 and post traumatic growth (PTG), recalled and measured 17-38 years after, in a sample of 11 633 Norwegian military. Specifically, the study investigated how victim traumas (lethal danger) and moral traumas (moral failure) related to PTG, measured by the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (Cann et al., 2010). Emotional distress experienced during the traumas served as a potential mediator of this relationship, and leadership by closest superior a potential moderator of the mediation. The results showed a significant positive relationship between number of victim traumas and PTG, while number of moral traumas did not contribute to explain variance above this effect. The trauma - PTG relationship was partially mediated by emotional distress, but authentic- and laissez faire leadership did not moderate this mediation. In sum, the veterans with most traumatic experiences, as recalled 17-38 years later, had higher PTG, and emotional distress related to trauma mediated this growth. The findings indicate that traumatic experiences may represent a resource for growth and subsequent hope for recovery. This study aimed to identify post-traumatic growth and successful aging and the mediating effects of resilience and intolerance of uncertainty in breast cancer survivors. This study employed a descriptive survey approach. Data were collected from 143 breast cancer survivors between 27 January and 10 December 2021, at a cancer center in Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. SPSS/WIN 25.0 and PROCESS Macro version 3.5 were used for data analysis. Descriptive statistics were analyzed with SPSS. PROCESS was used to conduct a mediation analysis and the significance of the mediating effect was evaluated using 95% confidence intervals. Successful aging was significantly associated with post-traumatic growth, resilience, and the intolerance of uncertainty. The impact of post-traumatic growth on successful aging was mediated by resilience in breast cancer survivors. Resilience should be considered when developing nursing interventions to enhance post-traumatic growth and promote successful aging in breast cancer survivors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background & aim: Acute attacks of epidemics and the physical risk have severe adverse psychological side-effects on post covid patients. Most importantly, COVID-19 survivors who experienced fear for survival are vulnerable to post-traumatic stress symptoms. The present study aimed to determine effectiveness of online compassion-focused therapy in reducing the severity of post-traumatic stress symptoms, increasing post-traumatic growth and studying the changes in hippocampus and amygdala volume in recovered patients infected with the corona virus in Shiraz and in It was done in 1401. Methods: The present study was conducted between May 2021 and July 2022 among patients with delta variant COVID-19 in Fars province, Iran. The study’s statistical population included 40 patients with hospitalized history on delta variant (Covid-19) diagnosed with post-traumatic stress symptoms, who were purposefully sampled in two experimental groups (40 people) and control groups (20 people). The control group received standard treatment during this period. Inclusion criteria were not having specific mental disorders, being literate in reading and writing, suffering from corona disease. Exclusion criteria were not fully attending Psychotherapy classes, having a mental disorder. The participants responded to the Tedeschi and Calhoun's post-traumatic growth and development questionnaire, PCL-5 post-traumatic stress disorder questionnaire. Abstract Aims Given the increasing number of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantations (HSCT) performed world-wide, the increasing likelihood of survival following HSCT, and the profound physical, psychosocial, and emotional impact of HSCT on survivors, their carers and families, it is important to identify factors that may contribute to or support post-traumatic growth (PTG) after transplant. In this study, we aimed to investigate the prevalence of PTG in an Australian cohort of long-term allogeneic HSCT survivors and describe associations between PTG and relevant clinical, sociodemographic and psychological variables. Methods This was a large, multi-centre, cross sectional survey of Australian HSCT-survivors inviting all those transplanted in New South Wales between 2000 and 2012. Respondents completed the PTG Inventory (PTGI), the Sydney Post-BMT Survey, FACT-BMT, DASS 21, The Chronic Graft versus Host Disease (GVHD) Activity Assessment–Patient Self-Report (Form B), the Lee Chronic GVHD Symptom Scale, and the Fear of Cancer Recurrence Scale. Data was analysed using independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, and pearson’s correlations, and hierarchical multiple regression adjusted for potential confounders and to ascertain independent associations of explanatory variables with PTG. Results Of 441 respondents, 99% reported some level of PTG with 67% reporting moderate to high levels of PTG. Female gender, younger age, complementary therapy use, anxiety, psychological distress and psychosocial care, and higher quality of life were associated with higher levels of PTG. Importantly, we also found that PTG was not associated with either chronic GVHD or post-HSCT morbidity. Conclusions In this study – the largest study of PTG in long-term allogeneic HSCT survivors - we found that growth appears ubiquitous, with 99% of survivors reporting some degree of PTG and 67% reporting moderate-high levels of PTG. Importantly, we found no association with GVHD or chronic physical post-HSCT morbidity, or adverse financial, occupational or sexual impacts. This suggests that it is the necessity for and experience of, HSCT itself that foments personal growth. Accordingly, healthcare professionals should be alert to the profound and wide-ranging impact of HSCT - and the degree to which survivor’s may experience PTG. Identifying interventions that may assist HSCT survivors cope and building their resilience is of utmost importance.

Abstract Background Benefit finding (BF) - the occurrence of positive life-changes in the aftermath of traumatic live events - has been repeatedly reported in prostate cancer (PCa) survivors, but it remains unclear in which way BF might vary over time. The current study aimed to investigate the extent of BF and associated factors in different phases of the survivorship continuum. Methods In this cross-sectional study, men affected by PCa who were either already treated with radical prostatectomy or going to be treated with radical prostatectomy at a large German PCa center were included. These men were stratified into four groups (prior to surgery, up to 12 months after surgery, 2–5 years and ≥ 6–10 years after surgery). BF was assessed using the German version of the 17-item Benefit Finding Scale (BFS). The items are rated on a five-point Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. A total mean score ≥ 3 was considered as moderate-to-high BF. Associations with clinical and psychological factors were assessed in men presenting before and in those who participated after surgery. Multiple linear regression was applied to identify intendent determinants of BF. Results 2,298 men affected by PCa (mean age at survey: 69.5,SD = 8.2; median follow-up: 3 years (25th -75th percentile 0.5-7)) were included. 49.6% of men reported moderate-to-high BF. The mean BF score was 2.91 (SD = 0.92). BF reported by men before surgery did not differ significantly from BF reported by men in the years after surgery (p = 0.56). Considering the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic on mental health, it has been determined that there is a need to focus on the positive parts of the post-traumatic results of the pandemic together with spiritual concepts. For this purpose, the mediating role of the meaning of life in the effect of spiritual well-being on post-traumatic growth during the Covid-19 pandemic process was examined. Within the scope of this general purpose: (a) the moderator role of fear of COVID in the mediating role of the meaning of life in the effect of mental wellbeing on post-traumatic growth, (b) the mediator role of the meaning of life in the effect of existential regret on post-traumatic growth were examined. The participants in the study consisted of 398 people, 263 women and 135 men, between the ages of 18-62. Data analysis includes correlation and regression analysis. As a result of the analyzes, it was observed that spiritual well-being had a statistically significant and positive effect on post-traumatic growth and the meaning of life had a partial mediating role in this relationship. While the effect of spiritual well-being on the meaning of life is at a significant level, it is observed that the fear of covid has a regulatory role in this effect. In addition, while the meaning of life has a significant effect on post-traumatic growth, it is also seen that existential regret has a regulatory role in this effect. It is thought that this study will provide functional evidence for the post-traumatic growth effects of the COVID-19 outbreak and for possible subsequent outbreaks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim and Background: The present study was conducted to compare the effect of tele-hope-based coaching and counseling on post-traumatic growth, life satisfaction and happiness of patients with COVID-19 in quarantine conditions in Isfahan province (18 years and older). Methods and Materials: This research is a quasi-experimental study in which the convenience sampling method with random assignment is used. For this purpose, 43 patients with COVID-19 were randomly assigned in three groups of hope-based coaching (14 people), hope-based counseling (14 people) and control group (15 people). All participants completed questionnaires related to happiness, life satisfaction and post-traumatic growth in the pre-test phase, and then the experimental group members participated in hope-based coaching or counseling (8 sessions for 60 minutes). At the end of the intervention, the post-test was completed and the results were analyzed using MANCOVA test and post hoc tests. Findings: The findings showed that both tele-interventions had a significant effect on post-traumatic growth, life satisfaction and happiness of patients with COVID-19 compared to the control group. Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) has been conceptualized as one of the severe forms of trauma in children with adverse multidimensional consequences throughout the lifetime of an individual. A vast literature exists to enumerate the short-term and long-term impact of CSA. However, recently, it has been observed that the impact of trauma may initially be profoundly negative but may not necessarily remain a negative experience throughout life. While trauma adversely challenges one's basic beliefs about self, others, and the world, it may at times also enhance new ways of coping with it. These positive changes that co-exist with trauma have the potential to lead to psychological growth in the child. This productive process of growth in and after trauma is conceptualized as Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG), a concept compared to a metaphorical rainbow comprising the vitalities of life forces after the storm of emotional turmoil. The article introduces the concept of PTG, elaborates on its relevance in CSA, identifies some of the factors determining PTG in CSA, and lastly highlights the importance of taking it up for further understanding in clinical practices and research studies. This qualitative study explored the childhood experiences of growing up with a sibling with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) to offer an 'outsider's' view of this condition. Ten individuals who had grown up with a sibling with DCD were interviewed about their experiences. Data were analysed using Thematic Analysis. Analysis described three main themes: i)'witnessing the challenges for their sibling with DCD' ii) 'experiencing the impact on the family'; iii) 'a vacuum of knowledge'. Not all experiences were negative and transcending these themes was the notion 'resolution and finding benefit' highlighting access to support, being more empathic and resilient, becoming a role model for others and finding success. Participants play witness to their sibling's experiences which can often be negative sometimes impacted by a vacuum of knowledge but they also describe how a diagnosis of DCD comes with some benefits which are discussed in the context of 'posttraumatic growth'. The aim of this research is to examine the role of post-traumatic stress symptoms, resilience and hope in post-traumatic growth in individuals who have overcome the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19). The study group of the research consisted of 454 participants aged between 18 and 72. The mean age of the participants was 32.91, and the standard deviation was 11.18. Participants answered the demographic information form, Post Traumatic Growth Inventory, Trait Hope Scale, Post Traumatic Stress Diagnostic Scale, and Adult Resilience Scale. The results showed that posttraumatic growth levels of women were significantly higher than men's posttraumatic growth levels. Moreover the post-traumatic growth levels of those who had the disease severely were higher than the post-traumatic growth levels of those who had the disease mildly and moderately. According to the recovery time from the disease, the post-traumatic growth levels of those who had the disease for a long time were found to be higher than the post-traumatic growth levels of those who had the disease in a short time. Post-traumatic stress symptoms, resilience and hope were found to be positive and significant predictors of post-traumatic growth. Post-traumatic stress symptoms, psychological resilience and hope-focused psychosocial interventions by mental health professionals and healthcare professionals during the epidemic may help people to endure an unknown disease and cope with the trauma that this disease has created in their lives, thus increasing their post-traumatic growth levels.

The psychopathological consequences of traumatic experiences have been object of study from the beginning of medical science. During the last centuries, the scientific literature in the field of mental health mainly focused on the negative consequences of traumatic events. More recently, increasing interest was paid to the features of resilience and to the possible positive consequences of trauma, leading to the concept of Post Traumatic Growth (PTG). However, the eventual co-existence of both the conditions should also be considered. The role of vulnerability and environmental factors in the balance between positive and negative outcomes after life events is discussed, particularly in light of a neurodevelopmental approach to psychopathology. Background and Objectives: The COVID-19 crisis has caused a wave of stress, psychological disorders and physical problems in the world, but some people experience post-traumatic growth despite these problems. The aim of this study was to explain the religious coping strategies of growth based on the experiences of patients with COVID-19. Methods: A qualitative research design was conducted using content analysis method. Twenty-five participants were selected using purposive sampling and interviewed using semi-structured and in-depth interviews. Purposeful sampling was used to achieve data saturation. Data were analyzed according to the step-by-step process of Brown and Clark content analysis using MAXQDA software. Results: Data analysis resulted in 386 primary codes, 18 basic themes, 11 organizing themes. Religious coping strategies of post-traumatic growth in patients with COVID-19 were: “Spiritual reflection”, “Positive religious framing”, “Prayer”, “Religious benevolence”, “Invocation”, “Trusting”, “Religious hope”, “Religious modeling”, “Religious acceptance”, “Preparation for Death”, and “Seeking Religious support”. Conclusion: Positive religious coping strategies significantly contribute to post-traumatic growth in patients with COVID-19. The findings of the present study can be used to design scales for measuring religious coping strategies, design and effectiveness of intervention programs to help COVID-19 patients to cope with disease stress and facilitate post-traumatic growth.

The purpose of the present study is to develop a model of posttraumatic growth according to positive psychology in cancer survivors. The research purpose was applied and was a qualitative and meta-synthesis. The statistical population was both foreign and domestic research articles published about the title of the research between 2005 and 2021. Science Direct, Springer, Google Scholar, Taylor & Francis, Noormags, Magiran, SID, and Civilica databases were used to access these studies. By reviewing 10,000 articles, 10 related studies that met the criteria were selected. In synthesizing the research findings, 6 main components were finally identified: psychological capital, self-compassion, meaning in life, spirituality, gratitude, and love. To evaluate the validity of the data research, the four assessment criteria proposed by Lincoln and Guba were credibility, transferability, reliability and confirmability, as well as Cohen's kappa coefficient.These extracted concepts are introduced in positive psychology and especially in character strength. In fact, these concepts are a set of thoughts, actions, and strengths that cancer survivors have used with regard to posttraumatic growth. The results of this study may provide appropriate insights in the context of positive psychology for medical and mental health professionals dealing with cancer patients and may be effective in developing intervention packages according to the needs of this group.

Background: Post-traumatic growth is a life change. People living with HIV who start to adapt to the current condition have a better life and positive emotion by rediscovering happiness. Post-traumatic growth occurs due to individual thoughts regarding life purposes and reviewing their life priorities. Objectives: This study aimed to explore the post-traumatic growth process experienced by people living with HIV. Methods: This study employed the qualitative study method with a descriptive phenomenology approach on six participants with HIV at Yayasan Sehat Peduli Kasih, Semarang. The participants were selected following the inclusion criteria, i.e., 24-25-year-olds with no cognitive disorders and regular treatments. The exclusion criteria in this study were participants who could not attend the interview process, although the researchers already made recurring appointments. The interview type utilized in this study was a semi-structured interview. The data analysis model in this study followed the data analysis steps of the colaizzi method. Results: Four themes emerged as part of post-traumatic growth. The four identified themes in this study are 1) early stage of HIV positive, 2) post-traumatic growth process, 3) becoming a better person after rediscovering life, and 4) future wishes after rediscovering life. The acquired themes are illustrations of post-traumatic growth in rediscovering life. Conclusion: Most People living with HIV have rediscovered purposes and wishes, although they continue to eliminate self-stigma and transform self-image to be positive. It is necessary to develop an HIV intervention program to improve and help the sufferers encounter internal stigma. The interventions include any ECT and spiritual mindfulness that focus on improving self-confidence.

The recent Covid pandemic has impacted students' life in various aspects and hence it has confirmed the necessity to explore whether students find their life meaningful. Digesting a sudden shift and adapting to new patterns of learning could have challenged the academic motivation and self-efficacy of students. The post-traumatic growth in students, after this crisis, can have some contribution to the coping process too. However, the need for exploring relationships among these variables for college students highlights the importance of such a study in post-pandemic situations. The aim of the present research is to study Existential Vacuum, Academic Motivation, Post Traumatic Growth, and Self efficacy among college students in Post-Pandemic situations. A total of 140 students (n=140) of age range 20-25 years from various colleges were selected for the study. The data was collected in an online and offline manner. Purpose in Life Scale, Academic Motivation Scale, Post-traumatic Growth Inventory, and Students Self Efficacy Scale - were given to all the participants. Data Analysis was done using Pearson Product Moment Correlation to predict the relationship between the variables using SPSS. The found correlation coefficient between Existential Vacuum and Academic motivation was .288, between Existential Vacuum and Post-traumatic Growth was .433, and between Existential Vacuum and Self-efficacy was .418 and all coefficients were significant at 0.01 (p < .01) level. Purpose: This systematic review aims to examine, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the relationship between posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), posttraumatic growth (PTG), and rumination in adolescents after an earthquake. The aim of the review is to provide high‐quality, evidence‐based recommendations that contribute to the roles of psychiatric nurses and the development of psychosocial support systems. Design and Methods: This study has been conducted in line with the Centres for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD) guideline which guides preparation for transparent reporting of meta‐analysis and systematic reviews. Findings: Despite the limited evidence, it was concluded that it is important to identify the psychological processes that lead to PTG and reduce the incidence of PTSD in earthquake‐affected adolescents. Practical Implications: This evidence shows how important it is to raise the awareness of healthcare providers in different disciplines, including psychiatric nurses, around the need for psychosocial support interventions following a natural disaster. An infographic model of moral injury (MI) is introduced in this conceptual paper that distinguishes the development of a worldview discrepancy-induced genus of MI, called complex moral injury (C-MI), from a standard expression of moral injury (S-MI), clearly delineated as perpetration-focused and a violation of moral belief in the contemporary view. It builds upon a previous essay that examined the potential of paradoxical circumstance (e.g., clashes of value, competing moral expectations, and moral paradox) to inflict MI among military personnel during wartime (Fleming in J Relig Health 60(5):3012–3033, 2021). Accordingly, it heeds Litz et al.'s recommendation to expand the research of MI beyond the effects of perpetration and investigate the impact of morally injurious events that shake one's core moral beliefs about the world and self (Litz et al. in Clin Psychol Rev 29(8):695–706, 2009). A review of definitional, scale, and qualitative studies shows evidence of a nuanced and complex form of MI that presents as moral disorientation and is a response to a disruption and subsequent failure of foundational moral beliefs to adequately appraise ethical problems and inform moral identity. Interrelations between MI, assumptive world, and meaning theories suggest the mechanism of C-MI and potential therapies. Case studies from a Veterans Administration hospital in the United States and a walk through the diagram will help illustrate the model. Clinical implications of a definition that includes morally injurious events that shatter fundamental moral assumptions are discussed. The role of chaplains in facilitating acceptance and meaning-making processes is recommended for C-MI recovery. In the winter of 2014, four terrorists attacked a school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), resulting in more than a hundred students' death. Twenty-two survivors (aged 10–18 years) with physical injuries were admitted to a private hospital in Karachi for further surgical and psychological interventions. The aim of this paper is to share a retrospective experiential account of a trauma management plan, based on the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual model for young survivors of terrorism. In biological management, children with hyper-arousal symptoms and sleep disturbances were started on Prazosin and those meeting criteria for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders were started on Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. The Psychosocial interventions included individual therapy, physical therapy, family education, and music groups. Children and their families were also encouraged to draw on their religious support. At the time of discharge, these children were evaluated through clinical interview to assess for improvement. A massive decrease in their hyper-arousal symptoms was seen as evidenced by improvements in their sleeping patterns, mood and behaviour. Moreover, signs of psychosocial development based on the principles of Post Traumatic Growth were visible. Our main limitations were the short period of time and a lack of follow up opportunity. However, this framework provides a basis to establish trauma services at tertiary care hospitals in developing countries like Pakistan where access to overall health care is limited and specifically psychiatric care is lacking in health care institutes. Data from the literature supports that social work is a profession inclusive of students with a history of trauma. This reflective paper explores the impact of trauma on social work student's performance in their field practicum. In addition this paper explores how social work educators manage, assist and respond to students with a history of trauma that affects their practice. Furthermore this paper delves into the challenges of the role of gatekeeper with students who are wounded healers and who have difficulties in managing what is required of them. Implications for social work education are explored specifically in regards to pedagogical approaches that support this work and what explicit and implicit curriculum responses are needed. Background and Objectives: The COVID-19 crisis has caused a wave of stress, psychological disorders and physical problems in the world, but some people experience post-traumatic growth despite these problems. The aim of this study was to explain the religious coping strategies of growth based on the experiences of patients with COVID-19. Methods: A qualitative research design was conducted using content analysis method. Twenty-five participants were selected using purposive sampling and interviewed using semi-structured and in-depth interviews. Purposeful sampling was used to achieve data saturation. Data were analyzed according to the step-by-step process of Brown and Clark content analysis using MAXQDA software. Results: Data analysis resulted in 386 primary codes, 18 basic themes, 11 organizing themes. Religious coping strategies of post-traumatic growth in patients with COVID-19 were: "Spiritual reflection", "Positive religious framing", "Prayer", "Religious benevolence", "Invocation", "Trusting", "Religious hope", "Religious modeling", "Religious acceptance", "Preparation for Death", and "Seeking Religious support". Conclusion: Positive religious coping strategies significantly contribute to post-traumatic growth in patients with COVID-19. The findings of the present study can be used to design scales for measuring religious coping strategies, design and effectiveness of intervention programs to help COVID-19 patients to cope with disease stress and facilitate post-traumatic growth. While psycho-behavioural skills play a crucial role in negotiating and growing from developmental trauma, the precise outcomes which these skills enable has been underexplored. Accordingly, six senior international performers were interviewed to explore what such skills led to when negotiating and growing from traumatic experiences. It was subsequently found that psycho-behavioural skills supported a sense of perspective, control, and confidence in participants, all of which contributed to a predominantly constructive rather than illusory growth process. These findings add to our understanding of skills-based development by highlighting what psycho-behavioural skills can precisely help to facilitate in young performers, as part of their efforts to cope with and subsequently grow from traumatic experiences. Aim: Present study was conducted to predict positive mental health and posttraumatic growth in nurses of coronavirus care unit based on optimism, by considering the mediating role of resilience and cognitive emotion regulation. Method: Research method is structural equation modeling (SEM). The statistical population includes all nurses in Isfahan who worked in coronarvirus care hospitals; 230 of them were selected by available sampling method. Research instruments include the revised Life Orientation Questionnaire (Scheier and Carver, 2015), cognitive emotion regulation (Garnefski et al., 2006), resilience (Schumacher et al., 2005), post-traumatic growth and development (Tedeschi, 1996) and positive mental health (Lakut et al., 2016). SPSS version 23 and Amos version 23 were used to analyze the data. Results: results showed that optimism was both directly and indirectly through cognitive emotion regulation strategy and resilience has a positive effect on post-traumatic growth (β = 0.408, P <0.01) and positive mental health (381/38). 0 = β, P <0.01). Conclusion: findings of research in addition to practical and theoretical implications, can be used as a useful model to provide useful services to nurses to provide growth and development after truama and promote mental health. The population included whole abused subjects over 15 years old who referred to psychiatric and counseling centers of Shiraz in the first half of the 2017. One hundred and ninety subjects were selected by available sampling method . This qualitative study explored the impact of an eight session group art therapy programme on the lived experiences of adults in the post-acute treatment phase of cancer care. The longitudinal design involved data collection at three time points: pre, mid and post programme over a span of three months. In-depth individual art-based interviews, informed by Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), were held with eight participants over the three time periods to explore their experiences of and reflections on the art therapy programme and its role in their post-cancer recovery. Thematic analysis of the interviews using the IPA method revealed five overarching themes: the dynamic function of visual metaphor in the image; how the process of art making and experiences with different art materials leads to personal insight and the re-invention of identity; how confrontation with uncertainty supports the development of a new version of the self; the role of the group in promoting personal change; and the role of the art therapist in supporting experiences of safety and the development of group rapport. Background: Refugees face a problems of loss of residence, loss of work, education, alienation from the community, and limited access to health services which indirectly cause mental health problems for refugees. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between previous traumatic experience, post traumatic growth and coping strategy to mental disorders among refugees in sidoarjo camp. Method: This study was a cross sectional study with total 97 refugees in sidoarjo camp which choosen with simple random sampling. They were asked for fulfilling post traumatic, previos traumatic experience and coping strategis questionnaire. The result was analyze using SPSS. Result: This study found that there was no significant relationship between coping strategy (p=.237) and post traumatic experience (p>.05) with mental disorders and there was no significant relationship between previous traumatic experiences (p>.05) with post-traumatic growth. But there is significant relationship between coping strategy (p<.05) and post traumatic growth Discussion: Need further research on the same topic with qualitative methods to explore results, especially with regard to post-traumatic growth dynamics and flexibility in coping and social support in refugees. Purpose: Caring for a vulnerable premature baby is a challenging task, but some mothers experience growth through that process. The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing post-traumatic growth in mothers with premature infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit. Methods: A correlational research design was used and 105 mothers of premature infants were recruited from an online community. Data were collected from January 15 to January 25, 2019. Post-traumatic growth was measured using the Korean version of the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, analysis of variance, the Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The final model developed in this study explained 45.5% of post-traumatic growth (F=13.66, p<.001). Resilience (β=.54, p<.001) was the strongest predictor of post-traumatic growth, followed by the age of the mother when giving birth (β=.17, p=.028) and current employment status (β=.17, p=.049). Conclusion: For mother with premature infants to grow psychologically after their experience, it may be needed to support them to develop and strengthen their resilience through either education or their own support network. Children in care experience multiple risk factors, particularly in low-income countries such as Pakistan. The aim was to establish rates of mental health problems and their relationship with posttraumatic growth, as reported by 132 children aged 9–19 years, living in three care homes in Pakistan. Children reported high rates of posttraumatic stress (70.45%) and common mental health symptoms (43.94%) within the clinical range, but also high levels of posttraumatic growth. These findings highlight the high levels of mental health needs among children in residential care, as well as the importance of understanding factors that promote their posttraumatic growth and resilience. Research in clinical psychology and social psychiatry has highlighted the importance of social factors for outcomes following trauma. In this review, we speak to this issue in two ways. First, we highlight the value of a social identity framework for understanding the experience and impact of psychological trauma. Second, we draw on the Social Identity Model of Identity Change (SIMIC) to understand reactions to trauma. Specifically, we show (a) that negative responses to trauma are more apparent where trauma serves to undermine valued social identities; (b) that people prove more resilient in the face of trauma when valued social identities can be maintained or new social identities developed; and (c) that where old or new positive identities are reinvigorated or extend the self, this can be a basis for post-traumatic growth. We conclude by discussing the implications of this model for practice, and emphasise the importance of social identity management in the aftermath of trauma. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
