The interest in metaverse technology has risen notably in higher education learning contexts. Due to the global spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, higher education institutions are now increasingly emphasising online interactive learning. Higher education institutions are currently investigating the potential of metaverse technology to enhance student learning by immersing them in a 3D interactive environment. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of research on how Gen Z in developing Arab nations, such as Jordan, decide whether or not to use metaverse technology in higher education (Eduverse). Therefore, it is crucial to understand the dynamics of Eduverse adoption to encourage and inspire Gen Z students to make use of this cutting-edge technology. Through structural equation modeling applied to a sample of 537 Jordanian students of Gen Z, this research assessed a model that adapts and integrates the UTUAT2 theory with Personnel Innovativeness in IT (PIIT). From a UTAUT2 perspective, the results suggest that, apart from social influence, all other included determinants have significant and positive impacts on Gen Z adoption intentions for the metaverse in higher education learning environments. In addition, the results demonstrate that PIIT is a strong predictor of adoption intention both directly and indirectly via performance and effort expectations. The developed model in this study explains 57.5% of the variance in Eduverse adoption intentions. This study adds to the current body of knowledge by enhancing our comprehension of the dynamics and behaviours of Eduverse acceptance among Jordanian Gen Z students. Although numerous studies have been conducted to understand the antecedents of usage of mobile health (mHealth) services, most of them solely focus on characteristics of mHealth services themselves but neglect taking users' psychological and health-related factors into consideration. Besides, the comprehensive understanding of what influences users' routine use intentions regarding mHealth services is lacking. Therefore, this study proposes a person–technology–health framework that underlines how personal factors (e.g., personal innovativeness in IT), technological factors (e.g., trust), and health factors (e.g., perceived health severity) jointly influence individuals' routine use intentions regarding mHealth services. The proposed research model and related hypotheses were tested based on survey data from 270 respondents. The results indicate that personal innovativeness in IT, trust, and perceived health severity are important for enhancing routine use intention of mHealth services. Specifically, in situations of high perceived health severity, trust relates less positively to routine use intention than personal innovativeness in IT. In contrast, in situations of low perceived health severity, trust relates more positively to routine use intention than personal innovativeness in IT. Participation in sponsored online co-creation is said to be driven primarily by an individual's intrinsic motivation, which in turn may be crowded-out, or undermined by financial incentives. The effect of financial incentives, specifically in a company-sponsored online co-creation brainstorming (COCB) context, however, remains unexplored. In this study, we use LEGO Ideas, a prominent COCB, as an exemplar and employ a between-subjects randomized experimental design to examine the effect of different types of financial incentives on intrinsic motivation's impact on participation intention in a COCB context, either directly or indirectly through personal innovativeness in the domain of information technology. Our findings suggest that focused financial incentives, representing situations where financial rewards are administered exclusively on the basis of excellent performance, offer the best outcome for predicting participation intention. Mobile wallets are one of the latest innovations with a considerable potential to change how consumers make purchases and enhance their shopping experiences. However, their diffusion has been much slower than initially anticipated, particularly in countries such as the UK where the present study was conducted. The services offered by the mobile wallet have to be secure, reliable, and constantly available. Any problems during mobile wallet use are likely to affect consumers' perceived value and level of satisfaction with the service providers. This study identifies key drivers and deterrents of a mobile wallet adoption. The study utilizes a mixed-method research design to gain deeper insights and understanding of the studied phenomena. Accordingly, the study findings are firmly grounded in empirical evidence. The conceptual model blends existing with new ideas emanating from the real-life experiences of the study participants. Our findings confirm the important role of all factors considered in the model: they affected directly and/or indirectly consumers' intention to adopt the mobile wallet and explained a substantial portion of its variance. In addition to enriching existing knowledge on consumer behavior toward innovations, our findings provide valuable insights to marketers and retailers by helping them make effective decisions regarding the use of this recent innovation for the benefit of all stakeholders involved. To understand the factors influencing medical robot use, this study developed a conceptual model and hypothesized that personal innovativeness in IT, perceived usefulness of IT and perceived ease of use of IT positively affect attitude toward medical robots, which in turn facilitates medical robot intention and medical robot use. By analyzing data from 276 surveys from Taiwan's respondents who have employed medical robots, we demonstrate a positive effect of personal innovativeness in IT, perceived usefulness of IT and perceived ease of use of IT on attitude toward medical robots. In addition, attitude toward medical robots has a positive effect on medical robot intention and medical robot use. The main implications of study for medical robots firms are to conduct business activities to stress perceived usefulness of IT and perceived ease of use of IT, they can use Ads to describe the functions and advantages to draw user' attitude toward medical robots. The focus of this study is on lecturer’s use of online technology in the higher education context. Precisely, this study aims to understand the effect of personal innovativeness in IT (PI) in determining technology adoption behavior of lecturers in the higher education institutes in Sri Lanka. In this study, the variable of personal innovativeness in IT is integrated with the UTAUT framework and thereby the causal paths which effects VLE adoption intention of individuals is examined. Literature suggests that domain-specific innovativeness is a crucial factor in determining an individual’s adoption of technological innovations. Therefore, understanding the multifaceted effects of this factor along with other significant factors can help higher education institutes to effectively endorse online technology among lectures, generating productive payoffs in the long run. The quantitative method was used for data collection, which yielded # 1253 responses through the Question Pro online survey tool. The targeted respondents were the registered lecturers in higher education institutes of Sri Lanka, selected based on simple random sampling method. Structural equation modelling (SEM) procedure was employed for data analysis using IBM SPSS (ver.21) and AMOS (Ver.26). The structural path analysis resulted in partial mediation, confirming that “lecturer’s innovativeness in IT” exerts its influence on VLE adoption intention by altering the mediators set in the study. Further, the study validated a unique set of factors that determine lecturer’s acceptance of VLE in a higher education setting.

Drawing on adaptive structuration theory and cognitive switching theory, this study develops a research model exploring the effects of cognitive switching stimuli on adaptive information seeking and the moderating effects of information need and personal innovativeness in information technologies. Data collected from microblogging users were used to test the model. The findings suggest that other people's use, discrepancies, and deliberate initiatives each have significant positive effects on trying new features to seek information. Other people's use which essentially reflects the nature of learning from observing other people is the most important determinant. Meanwhile, information need and personal innovativeness in IT each positively moderate the effect of other people's use on trying new features to seek information. This study contributes to theory by examining adaptive information seeking in the context of microblogging which has been largely overlooked by prior literature. Even though IS use has numerous benefits for users and organisations, such as improved user performance and greater productivity, an increasing number of users experience technostress. Since technostress can result in decreased user well-being, it is important to understand what leads users to perceive it. Recent technostress research points to the relationship between personality traits and the perception of technostress as a research gap. Given that personality traits are structured hierarchically, we study how and which levels of user personality influence the perception of technostress. In developing our research model, we select personality traits from the three hierarchical levels of personality: neuroticism, personal innovativeness in IT (PIIT), and IT mindfulness. The results of 2 two-wave studies analysing data collected in an organisational setting (sample 1) and through mTurk (sample 2) reveal that all three personality traits influence the perception of technostress, with IT mindfulness having the strongest impact. This study contributes by revealing that user personality and, primarily, IT mindfulness influence the perception of technostress. Additionally, our findings reveal an inverted u-curved influence of techno-stressors on user performance, deepening our understanding of how the perception of technostress influences user reactions. Antecedents of adoption and diffusion in time-honored models such as the technology acceptance model and innovation diffusion theory may not provide sufficient measures for newer Web 2.0 technologies such as wikis. This research examines two potential extensions to the basic tenets of user acceptance: reciprocity expectation and personal innovativeness in information technology (IT). The research also examines an advancing technology: wiki technology-based knowledge management systems. Based on the results of an online survey, partial least squares analysis is used to evaluate the proposed model and provide comparative results for traditional knowledge management systems and wikis. Of the 170 respondents, 46 indicated wiki-based systems as their primary knowledge management system, while 124 indicated non-wiki-based systems as the primary system. The results indicate the set of factors influencing usage are different than the factors influencing infusion. Further, non-wiki-based versus newer wiki-based knowledge management systems have different sets of factors affecting usage and infusion. Both extensions to the base model have a greater impact on wiki-based systems as opposed to non-wiki-based systems. Reciprocity expectation was found to have a contradictory significant negative influence on infusion of wikis. Additionally, personal innovativeness in IT moderates the usage and infusion of wikis more so than for traditional knowledge management systems. This study investigates the phenomena of cultural orientation, such as power distance and collectivism, and personal innovativeness in IT (as stable individual differences) as well as general computer self-efficacy (as a dynamic individual difference) in the context of the technology acceptance model (TAM) for ERP system adoption. One hundred and one survey questionnaire results of an international user group utilizing an ERP system developed by one of the largest IT solution providers in the world were analyzed using PLS. Power distance negatively affects computer self-efficacy and innovativeness positively affects computer self-efficacy, as expected. Computer self-efficacy and innovativeness affect ease of use, while collectivism affects usefulness. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings for global IT management are discussed. A fundamental characteristic of any innovation is its novelty, the newness or freshness of the innovation in the eyes of the adopter. Past research has often considered novelty to be inherent to an information technology (IT) innovation, yet it is also likely that perceptions of novelty differ widely across individuals. Nevertheless, the role that the novelty of an IT innovation plays in adoption is not well understood. The primary goal of this research effort is to frame the perceived novelty of an IT innovation as a salient affective belief in the nomological network related to adoption. Further, we examine how perceived novelty influences the way individuals reconcile their perceptions of risk versus reward when considering the adoption of an IT innovation. Two empirical studies with 424 and 138 participants, respectively, examine the effect of perceived novelty on IT innovations from a risk/reward perspective. Results indicate that perceived novelty is a salient affective belief that plays a significant role in the adoption of IT innovations.
