A 18 year old female presented with a weeping, crusty lesion for the past few days around the right corner of her mouth.

Cutaneous horns are uncommon lesions consisting of keratotic material; they resemble mini animal horns. They typically occur in sun-exposed areas, particularly the face, ear, nose, forearms, and dorsum of the hands. A case of cutaneous horn of the lower lip is presented as an extremely rare perioral pathology. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the need for a careful management of such lesions due to the high incidence of malignant or premalignant change.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare, clonal proliferative disorder of Langerhans' cells of unknown etiology. Although the clinical presentation and therapeutic approach to the disease in children have been well established; limited data is available about the disease in adults. Purely cutaneous involvement of LCH in a man older than 70 years has rarely been described. Herein we report the case of a 71-year-old man with cutaneous LCH confined to the perioral region, scalp, and flexures successfully treated with thalidomide.
