This study aims to examine the effectiveness of SiBakul Jogja, a digital platform initiated by the government in Yogyakarta Province, in supporting small businesses and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders. Through interviews and research analysis, we investigate the mechanisms through which SiBakul Jogja facilitates small business growth and innovation. The findings reveal that SiBakul Jogja serves as a comprehensive resource hub for small businesses, offering assistance in record-keeping, advisory services, and fostering partnerships for innovation. Collaboration among government entities, businesses, academics, and the media plays a crucial role in enhancing the platform's impact. Positive outcomes include job creation and improved access to financial resources. However, challenges such as digital skills shortages and internet connectivity issues persist. The novelty of this study lies in its examination of SiBakul Jogja's collaborative approach in alignment with principles of new public service, contributing to improved public service delivery and economic growth. Addressing these challenges collectively presents an opportunity to leverage SiBakul Jogja's potential to significantly boost the local economy. This study aims to define the characteristics of social innovators, measure the impact of social innovation, and investigate its effects on urban transformation in İzmir. The study is based on semi-structured interviews with 14 social innovators and conducted by adopting a conceptual framework. We identify the characteristics of ‘super citizens’ in the literature that can contribute to SI’s empowerment in cities. The first finding shows that these individuals are expected to have 8 characteristics: being an activist, a social entrepreneur, a mediator, having a wide network, organizing goal-oriented works, involving all actors in the process, producing new solutions focused on the subject and finally being able to keep up with the change. The second finding shows that they are the most important actors in sustaining urban development, and their projects have impacts on urban transformation from a city level to an international level. If the interaction mechanism between relevant actors is provided by the local government through the Penta-helix model, super citizens may become one of the primary stakeholders to promote SI and create a more sustainable urban development. The MSME sector has become a pillar of the Magelang City economy with a contribution to the economy of 60%. The MSME sector in Magelang City is currently experiencing a decline due to two factors including the Covid-19 pandemic and the characteristics of the MSME business itself. Thus, it is necessary to map the potential of MSMEs based on business cluster-based superior potential so as to support the accelerated development of MSMEs in Magelang City, as well as encourage the creation of strategic policies in responding to shocks that occur in the economy quickly and purposefully. This study uses the Geographic Information System (GIS) model. This analysis discusses the characteristics of MSMEs in Magelang City. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is a multivariate technique that combines aspects of multiple regression (testing dependency relationships) and factor analysis (describing concepts that cannot be measured factors with multiple variables), and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method arranges a priority as well as the purpose of the various options using several criteria. Based on the analysis result of marketing capabilities through social media and marketing performance directly have a significant influence on competitive advantage. Tourism is a leading sector that makes an important contribution to regional economic growth in the Province of Bali. During the global COVID-19 pandemic, Bali tourism experienced a very drastic decline. The COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on all industries, including the tourism industry. This study aims to formulate a recovery strategy for the tourism industry in Bali Province in the short, medium and long term, in the New Normal Era. The type of data that will be used is perception data and existing data so that the analytical method used in this study is a quantitative approach in the form of descriptive qualitative and SWOT. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that each penta-helix element plays an important role in efforts to recover Bali tourism in the new normal era according to its authority and capability. Strategies/policies that are considered as short-term priorities are the provision of subsidized interest and credit restructuring. Meanwhile, what is considered a priority for the medium term is the organization of international events as well as training and internship cooperation for tourism human resources and the creative economy. The penta-helix element generally considers strengthening access and strengthening attractions as long-term priorities.

This study aims to develop an e-government model as an anti-corruption strategy by applying the Penta-helix model and religiosity as the moderating variable. Methods: The data was gathered from government officials, representatives in business, media, academia, and NGOs, in Indonesia and Malaysia in 2021. Online questionnaires were distributed to 240 respondents from Indonesia and Malaysia. In addition, SPSS v.25 and SEM AMOS v.25 were used to analyze the data. Results: The findings indicate that the Penta-helix elements and religiosity could help to reduce corruption in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Malaysia must increase its human resource competency and embed the religiosity element as a tool to reduce corruption. Abstract Background In the light of the existence of social inequalities in health, a CBPR (Community Based Participatory Research) programme for health promotion started in Malmö, Sweden, in 2017. The programme was based on a penta-helix structure and involved a strategic steering group with representatives from academia, voluntary organisations, the business sector, the public sector, and citizens from the community where the programme took place. The aim of this study was to explore how the penta-helix collaboration worked from the perspectives of all partners, including the citizens. Methods Individual interviews, that were based on a guide for self-reflection and evaluation of CBPR partnerships, were conducted with the representatives (N = 13) on three occasions, during the period 2017–2019. A qualitative content analysis was used to analyse the interviews. Results Six themes emerged from the analysis, including Challenges for the partners in the penta-helix collaboration; Challenges for the professionals at the local level; Citizen-driven processes are important for the penta-helix collaboration; Health promoters are essential to build trust between different sectors of society; Shift of power; and System changes take time. The analysis shows that the penta-helix collaboration worked well at the local level in a governance-related model for penta-helix cooperation. In the overall cooperation it was the citizen-driven processes that made the programme work. However, the findings also indicated an inflexibility in organisations with hierarchical structures that created barriers for citizen involvement in the penta-helix collaboration. Conclusion The main issue uncovered in this study is the problem of vertically organised institutions where discovery and innovation processes flow down from the top, thereby eliminating the essential input of the people and community that they are supposed to serve. The success of the programme was based on an interprofessional cooperation at a local level, where local professions worked together with voluntary organisations, social workers, CBPR researchers from the university, citizens and local health promoters.

The enhancing globalization raises new challenges for the cities, like the increasing number of urban population, the rising environmental problems, or the overcrowding of some cities. Nowadays with the widespread of intelligent technologies, more and more cities are creating strategies for making themselves more innovative, and smart. That is why the inequalities among different cities are also rising, as some of them cannot adapt these challenges and turns to a relatively peripheral situation. In their case social innovation can be an adequate solution for solving the problems in a bottom-up way, and foster their development. Particularly, the paper presents some results of a comparative study of four cases of smart city transitions: Glasgow, Bristol, Barcelona, and Bilbao. Likewise, considering how relevant the city-regional path-dependency is in each territorial context, the paper will elucidate the notion of smart devolution as a key governance component that is enabling some cities to formulate their own smart city-regional governance policies and implement them by considering the role of the smart citizens as decision makers rather than mere data providers. Design: Health issues throughout the sustainable development goals have also been integrated into one ultimate goal, which helps to ensure a healthy lifestyle as well as enhances well-being for any and all human beings of all social level. Meanwhile, regarding the clime change, we may take urgent action to its impacts. Purpose: Nowadays, climate change makes it much more difficult to control the pattern of diseases transmitted and sometimes hard to prevent. In line with this, Centres for Disease Control (CDC) Taiwan grouped the spread of disease through its source in the first six main groups. Those are food or waterborne, airborne or droplet, vector-borne, sexually transmitted or blood-borne, contact transmission, and miscellaneous. According to this, academics, government, and the private sector should work together and collaborate to maintain the health issue. This article examines and connects the climate and communicable aspects towards Penta-Helix in Taiwan. Finding: In summary, we have been addressing the knowledge center on the number of private companies throughout the health care sector, the number of healthcare facilities, and the education institutions widely recognized as Penta Helix. In addition, we used hierarchical likelihood structural equation modeling (HSEMs).
