Extracurricular directs students to improve confidence and ability to speak English which is oriented toward student participation in various competitions such as speech, storytelling. The study aimed to develop material of storytelling performance model as a learning material of extracurricular particularly public speaking extracurricular. Since the extracurricular aims to improve students’ self-confidence to perform in public area through story telling. In this context, the quality of learning outcomes in English speaking extracurricular activities is as follows. (1) Mastery of knowledge; (2) Mastery of English-speaking skills; (3) Having confidence when speaking; and (4) Able to appear in speaking using English which is oriented towards public speaking through story telling performance. Research and development were conducted in this study which used ADDIE model. The study was conducted at SMA N 11 Medan and the subject of the study was 10th grade students. The instruments of the study were observation, questionnaire, and interview. Furthermore, the study was conducted in some stages such as, Analysis, Design, Develop. Implement, and Evaluation. The result of study showed that story telling material could improve students’ enthusiastic to perform in public speaking extracurricular at SMA N 11 Medan. Thus, it improved students’ confidence in telling the story. Additionally, storytelling material was categorized as an excellent material to improve students’ confidence through story telling validated by some experts.

This study aimed at investigating the perceptions of tertiary students about online learning strategies in the Remote Learning Environment during the Covid-19 pandemic era. The method used in this research was a descriptive qualitative method by using a survey to collect the data from 20 tertiary students’ perceptions of their online learning strategies in rural areas during this pandemic era. The results indicated that students agreed with online learning strategies with digital platforms but they are still confused about how to learn and access them. Virtual meetings declined students’ motivation to learn because of bad access to the internet in their areas. Using Video Conferences is more flexible because it can be used wherever whenever. Online learning still becomes the best learning strategy in this pandemic, but access to the internet in rural areas must be improved. Tertiary students need access to the internet and infrastructure and instructional materials design especially applied in this pandemic era. In conclusion, online learning strategies by using digital platforms still become the best solution to be applied in the remote learning environments during this Covid-19 outbreak, even there are some obstacles still existed.

Buku ini disusun secara kolaboratif dari beberapa peneliti ditiga Balai Penelitian, yaitu Peneliti Litbang Agama Makassar, PenelitiLitbang Agama Semarang dan Peneliti Litbang Agama Jakarta.Proses penyusunan buku dimulai dari serangkaian workshop yangmendiskusikan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan metode penelitiankebijakan dan persoalan penelitian kebijakan agama di Indonesia. Diskusi dalam workshop itu menjadi salah satu input yang berhargadalam menyusun buku ini. Di samping itu, tentu saja, yang menjadirujukan utama dalam tulisan ini adalah buku-buku yang sudahmengulas soal metode penelitian kebijakan, khususnya yang sudahdibuat dalam lingkungan Balitbang & Diklat Kemenag.

The objective of this paper is to describe on how to assist the English Teachers in creating web-based learning material. There are three main steps in this community service project; preparation, implementation and evaluation. The recipients of this community service project were English teachers in Siabu District, from Primary School teachers, First Level Secondary School teachers, to Upper Secondary School teachers who were officially invited through the Head of Education of Siabu District. From this community service activities, activist found that this community service activity has a positive impact on the progress of education in the district of Siabu and also to the State of Indonesia globally. Therefore, this kind of project is suggested to be implemented in many areas in Indonesia.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak bawang putih dan cabai pada telur asin itik terhadap kandungan protein, total mikroba dan tingkat kesukaan konsumen. Metode penelitian memakai metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal menggunakan 3 variabel perlakuan dan tiap perlakuan diulang tiga (3) kali. Perlakuan yang diujikan adalah penambahan ekstrak bawang putih 100% dan bawang putih-cabai dengan perbandingan 50% : 50% dengan waktu pemeraman 7 hari dan inkubasi 3 hari. Parameter yang diamati merupakan kadar protein, total mikroba, dan tingkat kesukaan konsumen. Analisis data hasil penelitian memakai teknik analisis sidik ragam ANOVA 5% dan uji lanjut Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukan penambahan ekstrak bawang putih dan cabai dengan perbandingan 50% : 50% pada pemeraman 7 hari dan inkubasi 3 hari dapat meningkatkan nilai gizi protein telur asin, namun tidak dapat meningkatkan tampilan fisik baik warna, tekstur dan kenampakan serta jumlah mikroba.

Digital photography has become a trending tool in every part of communication in social media. Every photograph contains its meaning and story. This recent study was focusing on profile pictures among Instagram users. Moreover, this study was aiming at investigating the factors of selecting photographic image as an Instagram’s profile picture. Therefore, a qualitative research method was applied to find out the accurate factor. The technique of collecting data was Focus Group Discussion (FGD) technique by using Uses & Gratification Theory. The participants of this current study were 10 tertiary students. As a result, the finding reveals that there were 5 factors of selecting photographic image as an Instagram profile picture but the main factor was the image that shows self-portrait and lifestyle status.

The study deals with the conversational maxims of operation targets in police investigative interviews. This study attempted to investigate the types of conversational maxims (obedience and violations), the realization and the reasons why those conversational maxims occurred in police investigative interviews by using the theory of conversational maxims. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. The source of data in this study were the operation targets which investigated by the police and the data were taken from five episodes of The Police reality show Trans 7. The data of this study were clauses consist of conversational maxim obedience and violation in police investigative interview which were collected by using documentary technique. The clauses were downloaded and transcribed in order to be analysed. Then, the data were analysed by using interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings show that all types of maxims namely maxim of quality, maxim of quantity, maxim of manner, and maxim of relevance were occurred during investigative interviews. The conversational maxims are mostly to be fulfilled rather than violated by the operation targets. It might be due to the power possessed by the police, so the operation targets tried to give the best contribution to what police asks. However, the most dominant type of maxim obedience is Maxim of Quantity, meanwhile the most dominant type of maxim violation is Maxim of Quality. The obedience of conversational maxims in police investigative interviews were realized by sufficient information, direct and un doubtful answer, being relevance and brief and orderly response. However, the violation of conversational maxims were realized through giving false information, overstatement, vagueness, presuppose, rhetorical question, understatement, using swear word, giving association clue, ambiguous, repeated question, avoidance and giving hints. However, the most dominant realizations of maxim obedience is provide sufficient information, the most dominant realizations of maxim violation is giving false information. There are three reason of conversational maxim obedience in police investigative interview, they are building one’s belief, convincing the hearer and satisfying the hearer. Meanwhile, the reason of conversational maxim violation are avoid sanction, building one’s belief, convincing the hearer, clarifying something, defend himself, avoid giving wrong information, avoid further questioning, saving face, hide the truth and satisfying the hearer. However, the most dominant reasons of maxim obedience is building one’s belief. It was because the operation targets tried to get the trust from the police, meanwhile the most dominant reasons of maxim violation is avoid sanctions. It was because the operation targets afraid of being punished by the police.

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Pengelolaan KSU Pusat Grosir Butung di Kota Makassar, dengan pertimbangan penulis lebih mudah dalam pengumpulan data, baik yang bersifat data primer maupun data sekunder. Hasil pengujian secara simultan atau bersama-sama menunjukkan variabel kehandalan,ketanggapan, empati, jaminan, dan tampilan fisik, berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pedagang pada Pengelolaan KSU Pusat Grosir Butung di Kota Makassar. Selanjutnya hasil pengujian secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel kehandalan, empati, dan jaminan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pedagang, sedangkan variabel ketanggapan, dan tampilan fisik berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan pedagang. Dari ketiga kualitas pelayanan yang berpengaruh signifikan tersebut, ternyata variabel kehandalan yang mampu meningkatkan kepuasan pedagang pada Pengelolaan KSU Pusat Grosir Butung di Kota Makassar dibandingkan variabel lainnya.
