The knowledge and skills of classroom assessment is one of the requirements which have been declared in National Professional Standards for Teachers in Pakistan. Without the knowledge and skills of assessment teachers cannot effectively implement their instructional plan. This study investigated teacher educators’ assessment literacy and its relationship with the academic achievement of prospective teachers. The study was quantitative correlational and survey method was adopted for data collection. Teacher educators and prospective teachers of Government Colleges of Elementary Teachers and Regional Institute for Teacher Educators were included in the population. Data were collected through an assessment literacy test from the sample groups of the study which was analyzed through mean scores

Objective: To determine the awareness of using Sehat Insaf Card and to determine the utilization effectiveness of Sehat Sahulat Program. Study Design: Cross Sectional study. Setting: Sehat Insaf Card Authorized Hospitals. Period: July 2020 to December 2020. Material & Methods: Data was collected via self-administered questionnaire. The sample size was 316. Non-probability purposive sampling was done. The questionnaire consisted of three parts; Part A: Demographics, Part B: Awareness, Part C: Utilization Effectiveness. IBM, SPSS statistics version 25 was used for data entry. Descriptive statistics like frequency, percentage and proportion were measured. Results: Most of the participants belong to the rural area and fall into the category of 10 – 20 thousand monthly income. The awareness about program came from 2 main sources; Word of mouth and campaign by a local party representative. Majority of the services availed were curative services i.e. 72.8%. Before the launch of SSP, 3/4 of the participants self-paid their medical bills and with this program, its 100% free. 72.8% of the total participants were satisfied with the transportation charges covered in SSP. 92% of the total participants felt no discrimination in hospital in any regard, either from the doctor or the paramedical staff. 99.4% of the total participants were of the opinion that Govt of Pakistan should launch similar new programs. Conclusion: Sehat Insaaf Card distribution among the under-privileged citizens was almost similar in the urban and rural population of Rawalpindi. More involvement of females is need of the hour.

This paper intends to highlight the impacts of Arabic poetry to understand the meaning of Qur’ān and understanding its various dimensions as contributed by Imām Ibn al-Jawzī citing verses of poetry in Tafsīr Zād al-Masīr. As greater the understanding of Arabic linguistic, poetry, words and phrases prevailing in that particular culture greater will be the comprehension of Qur’ānic meaning. Poetry within the ethical domain has been venerated by Islam and declared as wisdom. In this study, we may estimate analytically how Ibn al-Jawzī elaborate various directions and guidance in the light of Qur’ānic verses with reference to the poetry citation. This discussion arrived at the conclusion that in Tafsīr Zād al-Masīr scope of meanings of words and their implications have been extended along with a unique exegetical approach. Ibn al-Jawzī presented exclusive methodology to infer Qur’ānic wisdom contemplating upon the poetry an important linguistic source considering rhetorical and stylistic remarks and literary embellishment what an aesthetic glimpse of Qur’ānic Scripture (naṣ).

In this research work the substitutional effect of Mg2+ on Structural, Electrical Polarization, FTIR, SEM and magnetic properties of Sr1-xMgx Mn2 Fe4 O11 R-type hexaferrite nanoparticles with compositions (x= 0, 0.25, 0.75,1.0) were investigated. The sol-gel auto-combustion method was adopted to synthesize the samples, and the powder was sintered at 800°C for 4 hours to achieve the stable hexagonal phase. XRD pattern showed that all the prepared samples have a single phase R-type hexagonal structure. The lattice parameter a, c, and unit cell volume V decreased with Mg substitution. The dislocation density increased with Mg substitution, while crystalline size varied with Mg doping. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra further verified the single hexagonal phase of the produced samples. The saturation and remanent polarization increased with Mg substitution in the polarization versus electric field loops. The P-E loops also indicate the lossy behavior decreased with Mg substitution. By substituting Mg+2, the saturation magnetization, retentivity, and coercivity increased initially, then decreased. VSM measurements reveal ferrimagnetic and paramagnetic nature for all the samples.

Newcastle disease (ND) has been one of the great challenges to Poultry in Pakistan and dealt with vaccination. Mortality and morbidity that are associated with it are economically significant. Two vaccines produced against Newcastle disease virus are Live ND-LaSota and ND Mukteswar vaccines and their immunogenic effects in backyard poultry. For that purpose, a total 130 of 6-8 weeks old layer cockerels were inoculated with both vaccines by different routes including Ocular, drinking water and Injection and serum samples were collected at 14, 21 and 35 days’ post inoculation were analyzed by Heamaglutination inhibition test for antibody titers. The best route of administration for ND-LaSota was observed by ocular drops and ND- Mukteswar through injection. So it was concluded that both the vaccines needed booster doses in 4th to 5th week of primary inoculation. ND-LaSota vaccine was found to be best for primary induction.

The restriction on an individual’s physical functioning, mobility and other functions of daily living pertains to impact one’s life in many aspects. But psychological buildups are of more important in order to adjust with physical disability in routine life. The current study stressed on to explore the relationship between self-efficacy and internalized psychological problems (depression, anxiety and stress) in physically disabled adolescents and find the gender differences in self-efficacy and internalized psychological problems. The sample was consisted of 100 adolescents (50 males and 50 females-age ranging from 13 to 17 years) were selected from the special educational institutes of physically disabled adolescents, Lahore. The Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1993), DASS-21 (Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995) and Demographic Form was used in this research to measure the variables. The data was analyzed through SPSS and Pearson Product Coefficient Correlation and independent sample t-test were used. Results showed the significant negative correlation between self-efficacy and internalized psychological problems. Gender differences were significant on self-efficacy and internalized psychological problems.

Zia ul-Haq, President of Pakistan (1977-1988), introduced Islam into the public and political realms. Once he grabbed power in Pakistan after ousting the elected government of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Islam became his strategic choice to provide legitimacy to his military coup and to expand his role in the Muslim world. Since the independence of Pakistan, the state had used Islam on many occasions to serve its interests. The encouraging results in this respect further induced the state to use Islam more frequently to achieve its domestic and foreign objectives. Zia institutionalized Islam in every aspect of the Pakistani state and society. Religious nationalization was the cornerstone of the Zia regime’s internal and external policies. The Islamization of the regime in Pakistan during the 1980s was the zenith of the state’s gradual turn towards religion. Regional upheavals such as the Shi’a Islamic revolution in Iran and Soviet invasion of neighboring Afghanistan were incremental to continue Islam as a strategic asset in Pakistan’s domestic and foreign policy. As a result, Pakistan became the launching pad both for the Middle Eastern Sunni Arabs monarchies and Iran’s Shi’a clergy to furnish their political cum sectarian agenda that ultimately ravaged the Pakistani polity and society.
