If greenhouse gas emissions are not sharply reduced, air pollution, extreme weather events, and desertification in southern Spain will occur, along with many deaths, and collapses of the health system and the country’s main economic sectors, agriculture, and tourism. The European Union adopted a strategy in 2019 with a series of environmental policy initiatives to protect the population from climate change hazards as ‘the Green Deal’.This strategy provides funding opportunities for Granada, one of Spain's most polluted and climate change-vulnerable cities, to reduce its high emissions of harmful greenhouse gases from transport.A spacious, well-connected, and safe cycling infrastructure is needed. New on-road cycle lanes and cycle paths with planted barriers to the car lane should be constructed. An e-bike sharing system can also enable people with special needs to cycle in the hilly city and drive tourism. Extensive participation opportunities and assessments of disparate impacts on access and health outcomes of different population groups need to be used to ensure that existing inequalities are not exacerbated.

- Abstract
Millimeter-wave (mmWave) communications is a key enabler towards realizing enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) as a key promise of 5G and beyond, due to the abundance of bandwidth available at mmWave bands. An mmWave coverage map consists of blind spots due to shadowing and fading especially in dense urban environments. Beam-forming employing massive MIMO is primarily used to address high attenuation in the mmWave channel. Due to their ability in manipulating the impinging electromagnetic waves in an energy-efficient fashion, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) are considered a great match to complement the massive MIMO systems in realizing the beam-forming task and therefore effectively filling in the mmWave coverage gap. In this paper, we propose a novel RIS architecture, namely RIS-UPA where the RIS elements are arranged in a Uniform Planar Array (UPA). We show how RIS-UPA can be used in an RIS-aided MIMO system to fill the coverage gap in mmWave by forming beams of a custom footprint, with optimized main lobe gain, minimum leakage, and fairly sharp edges. Further, we propose a configuration for RIS-UPA that can support multiple two-way communication pairs, simultaneously. We theoretically obtain closed-form low-complexity solutions for our design and validate our theoretical findings by extensive numerical experiments.

- Abstract
Different studies show that high-risk HPV genotypes are the main etiological agents for cervical cancer development and cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. In Uganda, cervical malignancies due to human papillomavirus (HPV) are predominant among sexually active women. However, data on the incidence and clinical spectrum of lesions associated with high-risk HPV infection is inadequate. The current study was aimed to determine incidence and clinical spectrum of lesions induced by high-risk oncogenic HPV types among study participants in Eastern Uganda. We piloted a prospective follow-up study among 1,077 women aged 15-55 years to assess the incidence and clinical spectrum of lesions associated with human papillomavirus infections (HPV). HPV Real-Time PCR using HPV High-Risk Screen Real-TM Quant 2x kit (Sacace, Biotechnologies, Italy) was used for genotyping high-risk HPV types. Four hundred and sixteen (416) of 1,077 (38.6%) women were monitored for an average time of 18 months (inter-quartile range 9.6-26.6). Forty-three (43) women had incident HPV infections during 214 person-years of follow-up reflecting an incidence rate of 20.1 per 100 person-years. Incident HPV infections were marginally associated with HIV positivity (RR = 3.0, 95% CI: 0.8 - 8.2) and usage of oral contraceptives (RR=2.6, 95% CI: 1.4 - 2.8) but not with the age of study subjects, or number sexual partners. Clearance for high-risk HPV infections was frequently ranging between 37.5% and 100.0% for high-risk types. Only 41.3% of women cleared all their infections. Clearance was associated with HIV negativity (Adjusted clearance = 0.3, 95% CI: 0.2 - 0.8) but not with age at study entry or oral contraceptive usage. Incident HPV infections and clearance of HPV type-specific infections were common among study participants. We also found a high prevalence of high-risk HPV types in cervical lesions, which reveals an association between cervical lesions and high-risk HPV types.

General Agricultural and Biological Sciences - Abstract
Background: Idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSNHL) is a condition which is difficult to define and treat. Sensorineural hearing loss being a situation where rehabilitation therapy with hearing aids is the only treatment option, ISSNHL is an exception which can be treated medically if identified early enough. Aims and Objectives: The aim of the study was (i) to calculate the recovery of hearing and other symptoms in patients diagnosed of ISSNHL treated with medical management as per institutional protocol and (ii) to determine the association between recovery with medical management and factors such as time of presentation and comorbidities in patients with ISSNHL. Materials and Methods: In the Department of ENT, MCH, Kottayam, a protocol for the management of ISSNHL was worked out as per guidelines from standard otology textbooks. All patients with suspected ISSNHL were admitted. Hearing assessment was done using pure tone audiometry during inpatient care and on discharge of the patient. Patients were discharged after completion of the treatment and followed up for a period of at least 6 months. Results: The inference of our study is that cases who presented early in the first 24–48 h of onset of symptoms have maximum chance of recovery irrespective of associated comorbidities. Conclusion: The study highlights the fact that ISSNHL is and should be considered as a medical emergency.

- Abstract
This research was designed to perform linear attenuation calculations for ordinary concrete both through simulation and experiment. The linear attenuation coefficient is an essential parameter for radiation shielding design for both source transport casks and storage bunkers. The shielding properties of concrete designed with Serpentine aggregates of different granule sizes were investigated. The simulation was performed using Radpro computer Software while the experiment involved sourcing for local Serpentine rock, crushing into four different granule sizes of 5 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm respectively and casting the concrete samples, exposure of the samples to gamma and neutron radioactive sources and monitoring with a radiation survey meter, sample weight measurements and concrete sample crushing using a load testing machine for determination of the concrete compressive strength. The results of the linear attenuation calculations showed that there was high consistency in the values obtained by simulation with those obtained via experiment. Very high linear attenuation property was observed when the serpentine concrete samples were exposed to a neutron source, which corroborates the fact that Serpentine rock is a Boron-rich mineral and Boron is known to have high neutron absorption property. The experimentally determined linear attenuation coefficients showed that the values at 15 mm aggregate sizes were higher than those at 5 mm, 10 mm and 15 mm sizes respectively, which demonstrates that better shielding optimization, will be obtained when the concrete cask is fabricated with 15 mm aggregate size.

General Medicine - Abstract
This paper aims to show how a phenomenological theory of empathy can be used to achieve a close interpersonal relationship that serves to support shared decision making and recovery from mental health problems. This framework can also be seen as a way to maintain a professional distance in such relationships. First, the paper briefly describes the basics of shared decision making and recovery-oriented practice. Second, the paper presents the notion of second-person perspectivity, the “we-relation”, and the phenomenological term epoché as a background to discussing the possibility of performing a specific kind of epoché, which actively brackets taken-for-granted presuppositions and notions and instead facilitates a focus on the meaning of the other’s experience: a special kind of intentionality directed toward the other’s intentionality. Third, the paper notes that the aim of actively assuming an empathic attitude paves the way for a passive ethnographic epoché that allows for an exploration of the other’s personal world, which constitutes the context for meaning. In this way, we can increase the possibilities of developing a professional “we-relation” and minimizing the risk of emotional contagion. This is a skill that can be learned through training, and that can increase the possibility of developing a deeper interpersonal understanding that will be of value to recovery-oriented practice.

This research presents an algorithm based on Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), for estimating monthly mean daily and hourly values of solar global radiation. To effectively investigate solar energy consumption and estimate solar renewable energy resources, the Hourly Global Solar Radiation measurements are necessary. In order to predict monthly average daily global sun irradiance on a horizontal area of Kazaure- Nigeria, this study creates a model utilizing ANN to solve the problem of solar energy distribution. Five empirical correlations are developed using the data from 42 months to aid in the prediction of the solar energy distribution pattern. The software is constructed around the Multilayer Perceptron under categorized tabs, with Multilayer perception in neural network Toolbox in MATLAB 9.7 version as a feed forward ANN that maps sets of input data into a set of suitable output. It differs from conventional linear perception by employing three or more layers of neurons (nodes) with nonlinear activation functions. It is also more effective than perceptrons in identifying input that is not linearly separable by a linear hyper-plane. Results obtained utilizing the suggested structure reveals good agreement between the calculated and measured levels of global solar irradiation. The ANN model is shown to be superior when compared to empirical models, due to negligible noise margin.

- Abstract
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies provide services and applications in a wide range of areas, including survey and mapping, transportation, precision agriculture, urban planning, smart mobility and smart city management, to name a few. Most of these applications rely on real-time kinematic (RTK) technology, which is typically supported by a network of continuously operating reference stations (CORS). In order to improve GNSS applications in Ghana, eight new CORS were established by the Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LiSAG) in 2019 known as LiSAGNet. Accurate and precise positions of the LiSAGNet are, however, very critical for GNSS applications. Thus, the aim of this study is to determine accurate three-dimensional (3D) coordinates of the LiSAGNet using Network-based and Precise Point Positioning (PPP) techniques based on the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF). Positions of the new CORS were computed from data for 11 consecutive days using gLAB software v5.4.1 in PPP mode and the Canadian Spatial Reference System PPP (CSRS-PPP) online services as a check. Position solutions from both gLAB and CSRS-PPP were compared, which yielded coordinates variability of 0.001 m, 0.003 m and 0.029 m in the northings (N), eastings (E) and up (U) directions respectively and were therefore accepted as the final coordinates of the LiSAGNet. Positions from the PPP and Network-based techniques were also compared to determine consistencies or otherwise in the coordinates of the LiSAGNet. The study concluded that positions of LiSAGNet showed more consistency when determined by Network-based technique than when determined by PPP technique.

- Abstract
Introduction: BMI (Body mass index), Waist Hip ratio (WHR) and even body fat percentage (BF %) or fat mass are indicators that are commonly used for assessment and grading of obesity. Of late researchers are exploring the possibility of using neck circumference as another indicator of obesity. Neck circumference (NC) is found in many studies to reflect central obesity. Our study however aims at comparing the correlation between Neck circumference, BMI and body fat percentage with the correlation between Waist Hip Ratio, BMI and body fat percentage in both lean and obese adults, to find out whether Neck circumference or waist hip ratio is a better indicator of obesity. Materials and Methods: This is an analytical observational preliminary study which is a part of a larger study. Sample study consists of 36 participants who are adults in the range of 18 to 60 years old of both genders, which comprises of 19 lean and 17 obese research participants. Anthropometric data of the research participants such as age, sex, weight, height, waist circumference, and hip circumference were measured. BMI was calculated using Adolphe Quetelet metric BMI formula. Body fat percentage was measured using DEXA (Dual X-ray Absorbtiometry) scan. Results: The overall group, NC showed strong positive correlation with BMI whereas WHR showed moderate correlation with BMI. There is also a moderate correlation between NC, WHR and BF%. In lean adults it is observed that the moderate correlation between neck circumference (NC) and BMI is similar to the correlation between WHR and BMI. Again in lean adults, the correlation between NC and BF% is a weak positive and the correlation between WHR and BF% is towards a strong positive side. It is observed that in obese adults the NC, WHR demonstrate moderate correlation with BMI, while a negative correlation exists between NC, WHR and BF%. Conclusion: According to the results of our study, it is obvious that neck circumference like WHR do correlate with BMI in all the three groups that is, in the overall, lean and obese research participants. And that neck circumference is as good an indicator as WHR in identifying adults with obesity.

This study focused on renewable energy sources in the Philippines, including solar, hydro, biomass, wind, and geothermal. The amount of energy renewable energy power plants generates and how much it costs, how many of these power plants are operating in the Philippines, and the long-term impacts of using entirely renewable energy were investigated through data mining. Among all renewable energy sources in the Philippines, geothermal power plants provide most electricity, while wind energy has the greatest production costs. A total of 235 renewable energy generating plants are active across the country, majority of them are in Luzon. Furthermore, renewable energy sources positively affect our economy and environment as they can potentially lower electric bills, increase employment, and reduce air pollution and health risks associated with it. However, potential negative consequences include lack of food security and agricultural areas. The researchers urge the government to develop more renewable energy power plants, conduct comprehensive grid-capability assessments, including assessment of potential optimal sites for new producing assets, and properly plan and handle the environmental effects. Keywords: Renewable Energy Sources, Power Plant, Philippines

- Abstract
This study examined the Nigerian mentality, educational system, in context to migration as against the challenges faced by Nigerians in the Russo- Ukraine war in 2022. It also explains the ‘japa’ phenomenon and how foreign education is supporting migration. The research also traced the history of tertiary education in Nigeria. A retrospect and review of the facts was made, in order that scholars would have an insight on perceptions as well as the strategies anddiplomatic challenges Nigeria passed through in the course of this war. The study relied on documentary data. The documentary data were sourced from newspapers, journal papers, internet sources and correspondence. The documentary was subjected to internal and external criticism for authentication, and then to textual and contextual analyses. Nigerian students found themselves in a war that was never their making but the emigration from their nation to Ukraine made them a part of this piece of History.

27. New networking technology in ETSI ISG NIN
- Author
-
null John S Grant
- Abstract
ETSI ISG Non-IP Networking (NIN) was formed to standardize Flexilink, a networking technology which does not have the problems mobile operators had identified with current technology based on Internet Protocol (IP). This paper reviews the main features of Flexilink and the advantages of the services it provides for future network applications beyond 2030. Internet Protocol is connection-less, so every packet has to carry all the information needed to route it to its destination and this information has to be processed by each router the packet passes through. However, in most cases it is used to carry a "flow" of packets for a connection-oriented protocol such as TCP or RTP. Routing in SDN applies to flows rather than individual packets, but each packet header still contains the same routing information and must be processed to identify the flow to which the packet belongs. Flexilink replaces the per-flow information in the packet header with a pointer into the routing table, which eliminates the need for software processing of packet headers and means that packet formats are not dependent on the addressing scheme used. It also provides a separate service for live media such as audio, video, and tactile that easily achieves the lowest possible latency.

General Agricultural and Biological Sciences - Abstract
Background: In times of an epidemic such as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the public’s knowledge and attitude toward the disease affects the ability to abide to different preventive measures. Aims and Objectives: (1) to assess the knowledge and awareness of the domestic helpers in a tribal population, (2) whether the domestic helpers practice appropriate preventative measures that are recommended by WHO. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was designed and carried out using questionnaire among rural domestic workers in Mizoram, above 14 years of age belonging to both Mizo and Non-Mizo ethnicity. Data were collected from 105 participants and analyzed through t-test, one-way analysis of variance and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: Majority of the respondents had higher secondary level of education (78.1%) and 95.2% could identify COVID-19 as a communicable disease. Almost all the participants (97.1%) were afraid of infection and the majority (92.4%) had fear of dying with the disease. Three-fourth of the participants were working during the pandemic of which 44.8% had volunteered. Media (68.6%) was the most common source of information about the disease. The education level was significantly associated with knowledge and attitude scores whereas there were no significant differences with respect to the practice (P>0.05). Conclusion: Our findings indicate an overall good KAP of the rural domestic workers. Since these workers move from house to house and also take care of the vulnerable, and that they themselves and the families, they work for may be at an increased risk of infection with COVID-19, these findings are important from a health campaign perspective.

Earth-Surface Processes - Abstract
The crisis in which the Higher Education and University Sector is mired threatens the future of the nation; it is therefore necessary to put things in order. In a context where ignorance and non-respect of academic, regulatory and legal norms are manifest, where the attitude of managers in the conduct of academic affairs is subject to doubts and sometimes challenges, even questioning their profile as managers, The Vade Mecum as a reference document or guide for managers of higher education and university establishments (both public and private) is timely in indicating to the managers of establishments the line of conduct to follow in order to respect and ensure respect for the various texts and laws conceived, elaborated and published within the framework of higher education and university in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This study on the rule of law in the Higher Education and University Establishments in DR Congo is therefore an analysis of the realities observed in the administrative management of the scientific, administrative, technical and working personnel recruited, appointed and assigned in these Establishments who, it is believed, only have duties to fulfill while they also have rights to preserve and to assert. The case under examination is that of an Assistant of the University of Gbado-Lite (UNIGBA), recruited and appointed regularly by a decision of the Rector whose dismissal by the Head of School has seriously violated the legal and regulatory provisions on disciplinary procedure; the latter having introduced a hierarchical appeal, was rehabilitated in his functions and in his rights without other forms of trial.

- Abstract
Childhood obesity has a strong association with Type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease in adulthood. In India, lower socio-economic group are undernourished whereas the higher and middle socio-economic group are over nourished and this triggered an urgent need for accurate data on nutritional status of children and adolescents and also need for spreading messages about the rising obesity epidemic among them. Parents and teachers have less knowledge about metabolic syndrome which leads to inadequate perception of this concept in Indian society. Abdominal obesity is due to excess abdominal adipose tissue, which can be measured easily as Waist Circumference (WC) and Waist Hip Ratio (WHR). Other factors influencing metabolic syndrome are increased Fasting Blood Triglycerides, Cholesterol Levels, Blood Pressure and Fasting glucose level. Abnormalities noted on three or more of these tests will indicate the presence of metabolic syndrome.

Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a very virulent and contagious coronavirus and has caused a pandemic of acute respiratory disease, named “Coronavirus disease 2019” (COVID-19) that emerged in the late 2019. In breast milk (BM), presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus and its antibodies have been examined. Aims and Objectives: The current observational study was conducted over a period of 1 year in the state of Mizoram to investigate the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus and antibodies in pregnant mothers and their newborn along with breast milk. Materials and Methods: A total of 115 breast milk samples and 70 breast swabs (before or after breast washing) from 115 women who were recently diagnosed with COVID-19 were collected. Samples were analyzed for SARS-CoV-2 RNA using RT-PCR. Breast milk was also analyzed for SARS-CoV2, IgA, and IgG receptor binding domain (RBD), S2 subunit of the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2. Results: BM RTPCR was found to be positive 78 and 37 BM samples were found to be negative for RTPCR. Among the infants, 32 were exclusively on breastfeed and 83 were mixed feeding infants. Post-breastfeeding four infants were shown the signs and symptoms of COVID-19. IgA and IgG RBD and S2 subunit of the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were positive in 17, 16, and 12 BM samples which show that maternal antibodies to be developed in BM take time for production and the mothers infected almost 10 days ago, only showed presence of those antibodies. Conclusion: Our findings have shown increase admissions of COVID-19 infected antenatal mothers with positive outcome despite the requirement of intensive care. SARS-CoV-2 was detected in BM which was significantly high, but there was no transmission to the babies during the postnatal period.

- Abstract
This study described the experiences of social studies students as well as how they managed to stay inclined to learn given the struggles, they faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, it looked at how social studies students have faced challenges but are still actively pursuing their own dreams during the pandemic. This research employed a qualitative-narrative approach, involving five (5) social studies students. As data collection techniques, students were asked to write narratively using Gibbs reflective cycle. The findings revealed that students' motivation to continue learning during the COVID-19 pandemic was divided into three main themes, each with its own set of categories and subcategories. The three themes and categories described were: (a) personal, with categories of challenges, self-determination, satisfaction and religious commitment; (b) social, with categories of relationships, inspiration, and well-being; and (c) environmental, with categories of breaking in/conditioning and amenities. The themes and categories showed that these social studies students got their inspiration to learn during the pandemic. According to the findings, these students were intrinsically and extrinsically motivated and dedicated to their studies. The majority of these students were spurred by their individual goals, not by a controlled motive, an incentive, a consequence, or a regulation. This study proposes that students be prepared to be more resilient and to build the ability to be hopeful and motivated to succeed and transcend any of life's hardships by defining how they achieved to motivate themselves.

This study analyzes flexing behavior in Instagram users which is widely used by all circles. This flexing behavior is a phenomenon that appears in line with the growing times. This research is studied using the Hindu ethical perspective of Sapta Timira which is the seven darknesses that make people fall into darkness so that they can easily forget about themselves, and where they came from. The data of this study were obtained by observation, interview and literature methods. Furthermore, the philosophical hermeneutics method is used to analyze all the data that has been collected and studied in more depth with the perspective of Hindu ethics, Sapta Timira. Looking for the relationship between flexing behavior on Instagram users and Hindu ethics, especially the teachings of Sapta Timira who is a supporter of flexing behavior. When in the dark, flexing behavior can occur. This study concludes that 3 out of 9 informants tolerate the act of flexing. The other 6 consider that the current use of Instagram media is not wise enough. Instagram is intended to facilitate information & communication. But nowadays there are many negative impacts that occur. Digital social media becomes a place to show off. Of the many teachings of Hindu ethics, what describes the current condition of society, especially teenagers, is the teaching of Sapta Timira, which means that seven darknesses make humans forget themselves. It is hoped that this research can help people understand flexing behavior considering that currently references related to flexing behavior are still minimal.

General Medicine - Abstract
The purpose of this study was to conduct a survey of edible caterpillars and the ethno-medical value of their host plants in Gbado-Lite using the "snowball" sampling technique. The results of this study show that Anaphe panda, A. venata, Elaphrodes lactea, Imbrasia epimethea, I. oyemensis, I. truncata and Pseudanthera discrepans are the most consumed caterpillars. Drying is the most used preservation method (82.4%); ground collection is the most used harvesting method (86.3%) while evisceration (45.1%) and dehairing (33.3%) are the main cooking methods used. Harvesting is done more in the forest (94.1%) from May to July (86.3%). The vast majority (98%) of host plants are used in traditional medicine; leaves (53%) and bark (45%) are the most used parts, while decoction is the most used method of preparing therapeutic recipes (92%). The felling of trees (39%) and traditional agriculture (26%) are to varying degrees the main causes of the disappearance of edible caterpillars and their host plants. Incomplete cooking (78.4%) and/or the host plant (19.6%) are the main causes of consumer poisoning. It is therefore desirable that sustainable participatory management strategies for edible caterpillars and their host plants be put in place in North Ubangi Province. These include community agroforestry, which should be practiced in peri-urban areas in order to strengthen the resilience of communities to climate change while at the same time fighting hunger and poverty. Indeed, the domestication of species would allow annihilating the pressure on wild resources, to conserve them, to fight against deforestation and to ensure the availability and sustainability of edible caterpillars. Those phytochemical, pharmacological and toxicological studies could be carried out on host plants in order to identify compounds of medical interest contained in these plants.

Introduction: Irreversible Electroporation (IRE) is a non-thermal ablation technique with promising results for treating locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC). This study was conducted to evaluate safety and efficacy of IRE in the management of LAPC. Methods: This was e retrospective single center study of ten patients with radiographic and biopsy proven stage III pancreatic head or body cancer that received open IRE with intraoperative ultrasound imaging. Perioperative complications at 90 days, tumor volume measurements, local recurrence and survival were recorded. Results: 20 patients, with a median age of 62, underwent IRE for locally advanced pancreatic head cancer (n=11) and body cancer (n=9).
