Background/Objectives: Adaptive hyperactivity characterized by increased activity levels and novelty-seeking traits without mood disorders is prevalent among older adults in Sardinia's "blue zone," an area with high longevity. This study aims to evaluate the adaptive nature of hyperactivity concerning quality of life, social rhythms, and mood symptoms in individuals from this region, particularly among elderly adults over 80. Methods: This observational cross-sectional study included adults and older adults over 80 from Sardinia's blue zone. This study included a sample of patients followed at the Center for Consultation Psychiatry and Psychosomatics for Bipolar Disorder of the University Hospital of Cagliari and a homogeneous comparison sample of patients without psychiatric pathologies, referred to the Dermatology Clinic of the same hospital, for a period of 6 months, from February to August 2024. The general sample, divided into two parts—cases, represented by patients with psychiatric pathology, and controls, patients without psychiatric pathology—was divided in turn into three sub-groups: "adults" (18–64 years), young elders (65–79), and old elders (over 80 years). The participants underwent psychiatric interviews and completed the Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ), Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), SF-12, and Brief Social Rhythm Scale (BSRS). Data were compared with national and regional normative data. Results: Older adults in the blue zone demonstrated higher MDQ positivity (22.58%) compared to the national averages (0.87%), without corresponding increases in dysregulated rhythms, depressive symptoms, or reduced quality of life. Younger old persons (65–79 years) showed increased rhythm dysregulation (BSRS score: 20.64 ± 7.02) compared to adults (17.40 ± 6.09, p = 0.040), but this trend was not observed in the oldest group (80+ years). No significant differences were found in the CH3SH and (CH3)2S levels between groups. Conclusions: The hyperactivity observed in older adults from Sardinia's blue zone appears adaptive and not linked to social rhythm dysregulation, depressive symptoms, or a diminished quality of life, suggesting resilience factors which may contribute to longevity. These findings support the potential classification of such hyperactivity as beneficial rather than pathological, warranting further research into biomarkers and psychoeducational interventions to prevent the onset of bipolar disorders in predisposed individuals. Alarmist narratives about the flow of misinformation and its negative consequences have gained traction in recent years. If these fears are to some extent warranted, the scientific literature suggests that many of them are exaggerated. Why are people so worried about misinformation? In two pre-registered surveys conducted in the United Kingdom (N study_1 = 300, N study_2 = 300) and replicated in the United States (N study_1 = 302, N study_2 = 299), we investigated the psychological factors associated with perceived danger of misinformation and how it contributes to the popularity of alarmist narratives on misinformation. We find that the strongest, and most reliable, predictor of perceived danger of misinformation is the third-person effect (i.e. the perception that others are more vulnerable to misinformation than the self) and, in particular, the belief that "distant" others (as opposed to family and friends) are vulnerable to misinformation. The belief that societal problems have simple solutions and clear causes was consistently, but weakly, associated with perceived danger of online misinformation. Other factors, like negative attitudes toward new technologies and higher sensitivity to threats, were inconsistently, and weakly, associated with perceived danger of online misinformation. Finally, we found that participants who report being more worried about misinformation are more willing to like and share alarmist narratives on misinformation. Of great importance is the use of programs for software control of military equipment, collection and analysis of intelligence information. Safety and reliability issues are also important. Cybersecurity ensures the security of the software of military systems. At the same time, the development of new technologies creates breakthroughs in the fields of artificial intelligence and automation. The military industry invests in the research of new weapons systems and defense technologies through programming. From the point of view of strategic importance, programming plays an important role in the development and implementation of military strategies. The development of programming and technology is important to ensure military superiority between states. Consequently, the military industry and programming are complementary areas. Programming increases the effectiveness of military technologies, ensures their safety and accelerates the development of innovations. Introduction: The primary objective of this study is to report the results of an online questionnaire and the in-person discussion sessions of physicians specializing in diabetes care in which their opinions about current diabetes management was obtained. Methods: The Diabetes Innovation Summit 2023 drew attendance from a diverse group of specialized physicians from multiple countries. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to examine the technologies and medical needs associated with diabetes management. Using the results of the review, a questionnaire was developed by three experts from the steering committee to solicit feedback from specialized physicians. The online survey was made accessible between 10th December 2022 and 10th January 2023. Following the online survey, six structured in-person discussion sessions were conducted with specialized physicians from the Middle East, Central-Eastern Europe, and North Africa regions. Results: The study revealed that about 59% of survey requests were answered, with many participants being pediatric endocrinologists from North Africa. Around 60% of diabetes patients followed Multiple Daily Injections (MDI) according to specialized physicians. Among MDI users, 62% employed Blood Glucose Monitors (BGM), 31% used intermittent-scanning Continuous Glucose Monitors (isCGM), and 23% used CGM. In North Africa, nearly 90% of patients used MDI due to financial constraints. While physicians focused on both Time in Range (TIR) and HbA1c for MDI-treated patients, satisfaction with TIR achieved was expressed by 31%, while 74·1% believed Real-Time CGM (rtCGM) was effective. Concerns arose about potentially misleading HbA1c results and the relatively low patient achievement of target TIR despite CGM usage. The Smart MDI System was seen favorably compared to other applications. The system's affordability was a significant barrier, particularly in the Middle East and Africa. Conclusion: The present study highlights that physicians are generally supportive of utilizing new technology. The questionnaires and the open discussion revealed the expectation that the Smart MDI technology provides better control, primarily by identifying missed boluses, while expressing concerns on the use of the technology by teenagers and children, who might forget the device and be reluctant to use in public, and by the older population, who might be challenged by the technology. As the healthcare sector evolves, Artificial Intelligence’s (AI’s) potential to enhance laboratory medicine is increasingly recognized. However, the adoption rates and attitudes towards AI across European laboratories have not been comprehensively analyzed. This study aims to fill this gap by surveying European laboratory professionals to assess their current use of AI, the digital infrastructure available, and their attitudes towards future implementations.We conducted a methodical survey during October 2023, distributed via EFLM mailing lists. The survey explored six key areas: general characteristics, digital equipment, access to health data, data management, AI advancements, and personal perspectives. We analyzed responses to quantify AI integration and identify barriers to its adoption.From 426 initial responses, 195 were considered after excluding incomplete and non-European entries. The findings revealed limited AI engagement, with significant gaps in necessary digital infrastructure and training. Only 25.6 % of laboratories reported ongoing AI projects. Major barriers included inadequate digital tools, restricted access to comprehensive data, and a lack of AI-related skills among personnel. Notably, a substantial interest in AI training was expressed, indicating a demand for educational initiatives.Despite the recognized potential of AI to revolutionize laboratory medicine by enhancing diagnostic accuracy and efficiency, European laboratories face substantial challenges. This survey highlights a critical need for strategic investments in educational programs and infrastructure improvements to support AI integration in laboratory medicine across Europe. Future efforts should focus on enhancing data accessibility, upgrading technological tools, and expanding AI training and literacy among professionals. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of current strategies oriented to increase adherence to physical therapy in subjects with knee and hip osteoarthritis (OA). Material and methods: A systematic review of electronic databases was conducted from inception until March 2023. Studies with experimental interventions using strategies to increase adherence to physical therapy programs in subjects with knee or hip OA were included. A meta-analysis compared the effects of such interventions with usual care for adherence-related measures (primary outcome), and functional and pain outcomes, using standardized mean differences (SMD) with a 95% confidence interval (CI). GRADE was used to determine the strength of the resultant evidence and the external validity of the findings. Results: Fifteen articles, assessing 1,818 participants, were included. The interventions included cognitive-behavior strategies, telephone calls, internet-based interventions, communication technologies, and booster sessions. A meta-analysis revealed that the experimental interventions increased adherence over usual care with a moderate effect size of SMD = 0.39 (95%CI = 0.08–0.71) and moderate certainty in this evidence Conclusion: Overall, this review supports that the strategies to promote adherence to physical therapy in individuals with knee and hip OA are effective. However, the positive impact on adherence rates does not always translate into improved clinical outcomes. IMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATION: Strategies such us behavioral programs, phone reminders, telerehabilitation and equipment based on new technologies can be employed to enhance adherence to physical therapy among individuals with knee and hip osteoarthritis. These interventions may be also beneficial for improving self-reported functionality; however, their impact on performance-based function and pain appears to be limited. The potential for longer-duration interventions to enhance adherence in the long-term is a subject of speculation but requires further reinforcement through additional studies. Background/Objectives: Bimodal stimulation (BS), which combines the use of a cochlear implant (CI) in one ear and a hearing aid (HA) in the opposite ear, is an established strategy to treat hearing loss by exploiting the unique capabilities of each device. CIs stimulate the auditory nerve by bypassing damaged hair cells, while HAs amplify sounds by requiring a functional hearing residual. The aim of this systematic review is to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of BS such as speech perception in noise. Methods: We examined clinical studies published from October 2020 to July 2024, following the PRISMA guidelines, focusing on the advantages and disadvantages of BS on speech perception in noise in adulthood. Results: BS in adult patients significantly improves speech perception in quiet and noisy environments, especially for those with increased residual hearing. Unilateral CIs and BS perform similarly in quiet conditions, but BS significantly improves speech discrimination in noisy environments if loudness between the two devices is appropriately balanced. Conclusions: Directional microphones and programming software are new technologies that succeed in reducing environmental noise and improving verbal perception outcomes, although their features in the literature are controversial. In addition, the individuals using BS may face temporal mismatches mainly due to differing device latencies, affecting sound localization. Compensating for these mismatches can enhance localization accuracy. However, modulated noise remains a significant obstacle to verbal perception in noise. Valuable assessment tools such as music tests provide further information on hearing performance and quality of life. More research is needed to define certain selection criteria. This study aimed to describe the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the management of natural resources. We conducted a systematic review of 320 articles from academic databases like Scopus, Latindex, Scielo, Dialnet, Redalyc, and Google, scanning the period from 2018 to 2023. We selected forty articles that discussed the application of ICT in predicting and mitigating issues related to climate change, erosion, environmental pollution, drought, and floods. The results indicated that climate change is one of the main drivers of environmental problems such as droughts and floods. Therefore, we concentrated our efforts on developing technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), the use of sensors, the Internet, and others. These tools make it possible to manage large amounts of information in real time and make informed decisions to prevent the aforementioned environmental problems. Despite the success of new technologies, it is important to note that they are not within the reach of the entire population due to the existing gap between the most technologically developed countries and those that are lagging. Therefore, we need to make additional efforts to enhance accessibility to technologies, enabling all countries to reap their benefits. In addition, efficient management of natural resources is required to minimize soil and water pollution. This implies the adoption of sustainable practices in the productive sector. In this article, I study Guy Debord's critical discourse, particularly his landmark essay The Society of the Spectacle. He underlines here the symbolic desert produced by modern societies. I stress the uniqueness of his perspective, to the extent that such desert stems from a situation of overabundance and excess, and not from a specific void or absence. This desert constitutes a space saturated with images and signs: it asserts the rule of the superfluous and the inconsequential. Moreover, this discourse was rooted in the Glorious Thirties, which were characterized by a strong economic growth. It must therefore be placed within a historical and social context that is quite different from twenty first Century French society. Contemporary France is marred by contrast by unemployment and precariousness as well as by huge socio-economic inequalities. The endless production of media images contradicts therefore the deep shortcomings of social reality. Finally, the concept of the Spectacle, for Debord, did not include yet the overwhelming power of new technologies. These technologies have greatly expanded the influence of images within the social and cultural sphere by making them instantaneous and readily available. The customs service plays a crucial role in keeping threats that endanger national security and social stability outside a country's borders. However, illegal infiltration at the ports of entry is becoming more diverse and covert in its methods, which poses a greater challenge in effectively defending and controlling both traditional and non-traditional security threats. Additionally, with the intensification of competition in international trade and economic cooperation, and the growing demand for a better quality of life, enterprises are striving for fair competition, reduced trade costs and assurance of trade quality. This has resulted in a conflict between the goals of 'supervision' and 'facilitation'. To address these challenges and improve customs operations, Customs should consider incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies to develop 'intelligent customs clearance and inspection' methods. This study analyses the current deployment status and effectiveness of 'intelligent customs inspection' (ICI) in China, using it as a case study to highlight the need for innovative practices in customs clearance inspection supervision and to explore the future direction of ICI. The tourism industry is very important for the economic growth in some countries and the hotel industry is the backbone of it. The advent of new technologies improves the stay experience of tourists in hotels and the environmental technologies contribute to the reduction of the environmental footprint of the tourist stay. Willingness to pay informs about the consumer surplus and therefore hoteliers, as producers can charge more informed prices for profit maximization. Evidence of high willingness to pay entails that the investment project required to finance the purchase of those technologies will pay back hoteliers if they decide to file for a loan and whether such finance projects pass the cost–benefit analysis test. The study calculates the WTP for each of the five new technologies and three environmental technologies and concludes that the higher prior experience with technologies and higher frequency of overnight spent in hotels increase WTP for all technologies. So does the young age of the consumer, income, and female consumership. These findings can also guide hoteliers to communicate the existence of such technologies in their hotels for marketing purposes and contribute to the formation of customer typologies, based on their demographics of customers. Analysis of interventions by fire protection units in road traffic incidents alerted by the eCall system between 2016 and 2022. Data from the State Fire Service Decision Support System (SFS DSS), provided by the Operational Planning Office, were used. Events from January 1, 2016, 00:00 to December 31, 2022, 23:59 were analyzed. Quantitative data were described using mean (Mean) and standard deviation (SD). Correlations and differences at a significance level of p < 0.05 were considered statistically significant. The analysis is anonymous for both victims and officers involved in the interventions. Between 2016 and 2022, firefighters were alerted by the e-call system 896 times. The shortest average intervention time was 47 ± 37 min and was recorded in 2021. In the comparative analysis of intervention time and factors conditioning the use of the eCall system, it was shown that this time was significantly statistically dependent on the number of cars involved in the incident (p < 0.001), the number of injured persons (p < 0.001), the type of intervention (p < 0.001),), and the occurrence of fuel leakage (p < 0.001). ECall is a relevant system for reporting accidents and collisions on the road. While it proves reliable in road incidents, a significantly high number of false alarms initiated from eCall requires system refinement to avoid accidental alarms and user education about the possibility of unintentionally sending an alarm signal. The authors predict that as the number of vehicles with the eCall system introduced to the roads increases, so will the number of notifications from this system. Data from the analysis of false reports suggest that mechanics and electricians in facilities performing repairs and maintenance of vehicles with the eCall system may lack the necessary knowledge of the need to deactivate the system before starting work. [Purpose] The paper analyzes how municipalities, as decentralized entities, can develop public policies on Internet access as part of their social function, taking as a reference the territorial entities that make up the metropolitan area of the Aburrá Valley (Antioquia - Colombia). [Methodology] Research methods such as deduction, content analysis and comparative analysis, together with other documentary techniques, were used to approach the study from a qualitative and comparative law approach. [Findings] The study examines public policies on Internet access in the Aburrá Valley from 2008 to 2023, highlighting Medellín's leadership in this area. Although some municipalities have more modest advances and the lack of a specific regulatory framework, as in Caldas, limits the formulation of effective policies. In addition, the proactive response to the pandemic and the recognition of the digital divide as a social problem reflect a continued commitment to digital inclusion in the region.

The article aims to examine the peculiarities of the formation of legal culture in the virtual space from the standpoint of creating a safe and productive environment for internet communication. The relevance of the research is determined by the special attention given to the behavior of participants in onine interactions, the impact of cross-cultural aspects, technological innovations and the social consequences of technology on their activities. In the course of the study, the dialectical method of cognition was used. Cultural and legal characteristics are considered from the point of view of legal traditions, social innovations, freedom from legal restrictions, and the development of technologies that dictate certain behaviors. As a result, specific characteristics of legal culture manifested in the virtual space have been identified, reflecting its stable and dynamic features. It is emphasized that in the virtual space, there is so called struggle for legal culture, as various samples are adapted to the new socio-technological environment. The conclusion is drawn that legal culture and its individual manifestations become suplementary, sometimes substituting means of regulating internet relations in the absence of clear regulatory legal prescriptions. In this regard, the importance of legal culture increases, contributing to the search for approaches to legal regulation in the conditions of technology socialization.

Technology trade development is a necessary condition for increasing the level of economy competitiveness and rational integration of a country into the process of labor international division. The purpose of the study is to determine trends in international trade in technology development of Russia in 2006–2021. Based on the analysis of the Federal State Statistics Service data for 2006–2021, conclusions have been drawn that during the period under review, technology imports from Russia increased 4.4 times (up to USD 5.0 billion), while exports increased 8.8 times (up to USD 4.6 billion). The outstripping growth of exports compared to imports testifies to the increasing level of technological development of Russia, although the technology imports volume according to the methodology of the Federal State Statistics Service is underestimated relative to the real state. The leading role in techno logies export belongs to engineering services, the share of which reached 40 % in the total volume of trade in 2021. The growth in the engineering services export volume indicates the growth of economic entities’ competitiveness of a number of sectors of the national economy in the world market. In many respects, this result was achieved due to the successful activity of the Rosatom state corporation, which implements a number of large foreign projects for the nuclear power plants construction.

Over the centuries, supply chains have undergone major changes, adapting to the environment and challenges such as: globalization, wars, competition, pandemic, digital revolution, etc., all these together, generating different missions and goals. One of the peculiarities of running a business in the XXI century is the fierce competition between companies, felt at international level. In these conditions, the traditional operations and processes of the supply chain no longer meet the complex requirements of today’s economy, and the implementation of leading-edge solutions is necessary. The use of new technologies in the supply chain can respond quickly to current business demands. Thus, a smart supply chain provides opportunities, creates added value, but also contributes to the creation of a strategic competitive advantage. The aim of this paper is to highlight the supply chain technological transformation possibilities, their benefits, challenges, limits and barriers. The need for knowledge, analysis and implementation of new technologies in supply chains is absolute, dictated by the omnipresent acceleration of change.

This article reviews and compares the experience of foreign and Russian companies using unmanned aerial vehicles (hereinafter referred to as UAV, drone) in the logistics industry. SWOT-analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) is conducted which identifies strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of using drones. Moreover, due to the current exi stence of a large number of prohibitions and restrictions on the application of this technology, the challenges of using drones in logistics are indicated. With the help of drones, companies are able to reduce costs and the likelihood of human error in work and thus increase efficiency by automating processes. These devices can optimise the process and improve logistics operations in a company. UAVs are the future not only of logistics but also of the technology industry as a whole. With the increasing scale of activity, each company tries to find and create new technologies that attract consumers and make its work more unique. The introduction of UAVs may become the means by which organisations can not only improve their activities by optimising and modernising processes, but also increase the visibility and scale of this performance.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for the labor market and young people entering the job market in Romania may face unique fears and uncertainties. Some of these fears may include: uncertainty about employment opportunities, remote work challenges, health and safety issues, digital skills requirements, economic instability, mental health. This study aims to explore the fears perceived by Romanian youth entering an increasingly unstable labor market in a post-pandemic society. In this article we use a qualitative research method, in-depth interviews, to obtain information about the specific concerns and anxieties of young people entering the labor market after the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to understand their consumer behavior in the labor market. The findings of this study will help us understand the experiences of young people in the labor market in Romania and will help policymakers and businesses find ways to support their transition to the labor market. Also, this study will highlight the need for strategies adapted to the challenges of a post-pandemic society, such as digitization and sustainability. Young people will discover some opportunities to develop the skills and competencies necessary to use the new technologies. In conclusion, this study will serve as a valuable resource for educators, employers and policy makers who wish to promote a more sustainable and inclusive labor market in Romania.

Abstract The aim of the current research is to present a model for the implementation of new fintechs in the banking industry (peer-to-peer lending). The research method is applicable in terms of purpose, mixed (qualitative-quantitative) in terms of implementation, and survey in terms of nature and method. The statistical population of the research was the managers, supervisors and employees of the financial and technological fields of banks, experts and specialists in the fintech field in the country; and according to the principles and rules of the unlimited population, 384 people were selected as a sample. Data collection was done by semi-structured interviews in the qualitative part, and by the researcher-made questionnaire in the quantitative part. Coding and MAXQDA software were used in qualitative part data analysis, and SPSS and AMOS software were used in quantitative part. The results of the qualitative data analysis of the research were categorized as follows: In this regard, the extracted categories were categorized as follows: Causal conditions: organizational learning, system attitude, and information technology. Key conditions: communication capital, human capital, and structural capital. Governing platform: partner banks, external theorists, government, and environmental conditions. Intervening conditions: obstacles and challenges including organizational factors, community conditions, individual factors, and lack of education and research. Strategies: policy making, strategic plan, and employee satisfaction and loyalty. Consequence: knowledge-based policy making, knowledge management, innovation, creativity and idea, and knowledge-based organization. The results of the quantitative part showed that the fit indices of the model indicate the confirmation of the model at the confidence level of 99%. Extended Abstract Introduction Among the advantages of strategic cooperation between the banking system and fintech is efficiency in terms of speed, cost, and reaching new customers. The issues and problems of traditional banks include complex structures, high level of formality, increase in operational cost, providing banking services with more cost and time, lack of innovation in service, and failure to meet customer expectations (Soltanee & Tahmasebi Aghbolaghi, 2020). All these factors have led to the decrease in the popularity of the banking system; But on the other side of the field, the increase of people who, for various reasons, cannot use traditional banking services or do not want to use them, has led to the development of fintechs. This trend has confirmed the decreasing popularity of banks, and according to statistics, the average use of fintech globally has reached 33% (Hill, 2018). Peer-to-peer lending in modern banking is a co-product of important business, technological and social processes. One item that has helped to create peer-to-peer lending is the presence of a new generation of freedom advocates. "Technological changes, globalization, and other international processes have reduced the number, size and role of commercial intermediaries in many industrial sectors. These changes have also led to the emergence of peer-to-peer lending. Individuals can become members as lenders by registering on the peer-to-peer lenders website." (Sarhangi et al, 2016). Borrowers also enjoy the benefits of lower costs compared to bank or credit union loans. Fintechs can provide new products and services for peer-to-peer banking customer groups that do not have access to traditional financial services. These conditions are possible through the following ways: improving financial participation, providing simple products with low cost and helping people who do not have easy access to banking services, and improving the customer experience, increasing transparency and improving security, and accommodating retail customers and small and moderate companies to fraudity and cyber-attacks (Wonglimpiyarat, 2017). Due to the importance of this issue, this research seeks to present and propose a suitable model for the implementation of new fintechs in the banking and peer-to-peer lending industry. In this research, we are looking for an answer to this question: what is the implementation model of new fintechs in the banking industry (peer-to-peer lending)? Theoretical Framework fintech The term fintech means financial technology. Fintech refers to companies and representatives of companies that have combined financial services with modern innovative technology. Usually, new participants in the market offer Internet products and application-based products (Anil & Alistair, 2019). Fintech or financial technology is a set of businesses that use software and hardware to provide innovative financial services. The National Center for Digital Research in Dublin, Ireland defines fintech as innovation in financial services (Owzaei & Sohrabi, 2017). Sadraee et al, (2024) examines the presentation of the fintech market development model with an emphasis on existing challenges and strategies. The results of the research showed that the challenges of fintech market development include insufficient infrastructure, regulatory and legislative barriers, difficulty working with public/general customers, mistrust of technology and fintech, low income levels and product pricing challenges, and cultural barriers. Also, fintech market development strategies include community participation in the marketing process, use of social networks, smart and optimal advertising, useful and valuable content production, branding, adaptation of communication strategies to the nature of the fintech market, geographic and cultural segmentation of the market, as well as customer education. Khaled Mohammad et al, (2023) investigated the determinants of fintech adoption: evidence from a representative sample of emerging economies across the country. They identified important characteristics that predict customer fintech adoption among individual respondents. They found that customers were less likely to adopt fintech services if they reported higher levels of concern about security, information privacy, limited government control, and higher levels of perceived service barriers. Evidence showed that these concern factors, for example, are the main determinants of fintech adoption, unlike demographic variables. Our findings have insights for fintech service providers and policy makers. Research methodology The research method is applicable in terms of purpose, mixed (qualitative-quantitative) in terms of implementation, and survey in terms of nature and method. The results of this research is aligned with the results of Sadraee et al, (2024), Khaled Mohammad et al, (2023), Khosravani & Bahman (2023), Khazaei et al, (2022), Barrio Oton (2021), Kou et al, (2021), Pazhoheshfar & Biabani (2021), Hammerschlag et al, (2020), Nurjanah et al, (2020), Martinčević et al, (2020), and Zhonging et al, (2019). Zhonging et al, (2019) in a research entitled factors affecting the acceptance of fintech services for bank users and presenting a technology acceptance model, while studying the effect of fintech acceptance on bank service users, presented an innovative technology acceptance model. Also, the results of this research show that the respondents pointed to the popularity and acceptability of the Internet and smart tools among users, perceived ease, usefulness, and government support for innovation as positive and facilitating factors; and the risk of privacy as effective barriers to the use of fintech services by banks. According to the results of this research, the following suggestions are presented: 1-Banking industries should take serious action to improve the implementation of fintechs by strengthening the dimensions of organizational learning which include: individual learning, group level learning, and organizational level learning. 2-a different attitude than the normal one should be used in the organization in order for a better order to prevail and to increase the overall efficiency and performance of it. The attitude required for use in the organization is the system attitude that connects all the elements in the organization to each other and does not examine any element alone because the organization is a system consisting of different elements. Based on the results of this research, it can be said that having a systemic attitude is one of the important factors of using fintechs.

The study examines some aspects of the impact of digital communication on language and the change in contemporary communication. Our study is focused on the transition that the Romanian language from Moldova made in the last decades. Focusing on the intersection of technology and linguistics we will bring some results of our investigation of how digital platforms such as media, instant messaging, and online communities (most of them professional ones), serve as catalysts for linguistic innovations and the formation of hybrid aspects of language. The study also addresses some dynamics of language in its transition from one influence to another in the context of political and social changes. Rapid exchanges and cultural convergences foster the proliferation of hybrid forms. Understanding these processes is vital for monitoring the evolving nature of languages and for building a framework for language policies and identity, especially important for the society of the Republic of Moldova, which captured and transferred the imprint of the political and historical changes from generation to generation.

ABSTRACT Increasing global migration and (im)mobilities are affecting the provision of aged care in transnational families. Such families rely on digital communication technologies like WhatsApp to manage and maintain aged care obligations across borders. This study investigates the role of WhatsApp family groups in enabling transnational families to manage transnational aged care from a distance. I draw on interviews with three transnational family constellations with members in the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe. The study finds that WhatsApp family groups create a virtual home where Zimbabwean transnational families can plan, organise and deliver care to their ageing parents. However, managing transnational aged care through WhatsApp family groups can also pose problems, especially for migrants pressured to remit. Furthermore, gendered assumptions of care and asymmetrical power relationships entrenched in families are reinforced. The study contributes to the literature on transnational care and new technologies, providing a Zimbabwean perspective on co‐presence and mediated aged care practices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Atherosclerotic disease of the carotid arteries is a crucial risk factor in predicting the likelihood of future stroke events. In addition, emerging studies suggest that carotid stenosis may also be an indicator of plaque load on coronary arteries and thus have a correlation with the risk of acute cardiovascular events. Furthermore, although in symptomatic patients the degree of stenosis is the main morphological parameter studied, recent evidence suggests, especially in asymptomatic patients, that plaque vulnerability should also be evaluated as an emerging and significant imaging parameter. The reference diagnostic methods for the evaluation of carotid stenosis are currently ultrasonography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and computed tomography angiography (CTA). In addition, other more invasive methods such as 123I-metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) scintigraphy and PET-CT, as well as digital subtraction angiography, can be used. Each method has advantages and disadvantages, and there is often some confusion in their use. For example, the usefulness of MRI is often underestimated. In addition, implementations for each method have been developed over the years and are already enabling a significant increase in diagnostic accuracy. The purpose of our study is to make an in-depth analysis of all the methods in use and in particular their role in the diagnostic procedure of carotid stenosis, also discussing new technologies. Across the world, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are being more widely employed in public sector decision-making and processes as a supposedly neutral and an efficient method for optimizing delivery of services. However, the deployment of these technologies has also prompted investigation into the potentially unanticipated consequences of their introduction, to both positive and negative ends. This paper chooses to focus specifically on the relationship between gender bias and AI, exploring claims of the neutrality of such technologies and how its understanding of bias could influence policy and outcomes. Building on a rich seam of literature from both technological and sociological fields, this article constructs an original framework through which to analyse both the perpetuation and mitigation of gender biases, choosing to categorize AI technologies based on whether their input is text or images. Through the close analysis and pairing of four case studies, the paper thus unites two often disparate approaches to the investigation of bias in technology, revealing the large and varied potential for AI to echo and even amplify existing human bias, while acknowledging the important role AI itself can play in reducing or reversing these effects. The conclusion calls for further collaboration between scholars from the worlds of technology, gender studies and public policy in fully exploring algorithmic accountability as well as in accurately and transparently exploring the potential consequences of the introduction of AI technologies. This work demonstrates the effectiveness of using alternative solvents to obtain jambolan extracts with a high content of bioactive compounds compared to conventional organic solvents, being the first study to evaluate the best ecological solvent alternative for Syzygium cumini (L.) Skeels. Five alternative solvents were used for extraction: water at 25 °C (W25), water at 50 °C (W50), water at 75 °C (W75), water with citric acid at 2.4% (CA2), and water with citric acid at 9.6% (CA9) in comparison with three conventional solvents: ethanol (EtOH), water with ethanol at 50% (WE), and water with methanol at 50% (WM). A protocol was then established for the extraction and concentration of samples obtained with these solvents. The highest content of total phenolic compounds (TPCs) in the extracts was obtained with the solvent W75 (1347.27 mg GAE/100 g), while in the concentrates it was the solvents EtOH (3823.03 mg GAE/100 g) and WM (4019.39 mg GAE/100 g). Total monomeric anthocyanins (TMAs) increased by 209.31% and 179.95% in extractions with CA2 and CA9, respectively, compared to pulp (35.57 mg eq c-3-g/100 g), demonstrating that they are the most efficient alternative solvents in this extraction. The levels of bioactive compounds and antioxidant activity varied according to the solvents used. Delphinidin 3,5-diglucoside, cyanidin 3,5-diglucoside, delphinidin 3-glucoside, petunidin 3,5-diglucoside, cyanidin 3-glucoside, peonidin 3,5-diglucoside, malvidin 3,5-diglucoside, petunidin 3-glucoside, and malvidin 3-glucoside were identified in most of the samples by UPLC-MS/MS. This study suggests that a simple procedure using alternative solvents can be used as an environmentally friendly strategy to achieve efficient extraction of bioactive compounds in jambolan. The study aims to evaluate the performance of students in a pandemic profile, addressing the main challenges faced by students of technological education in the face of the learning process in the face of the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic. The theoretical-methodological procedures of the analysis of interpretive data of an action-research character are adopted, with a quantitative-qualitative approach with an empirical field at UNINASSAU-Mossoró, with the total sectoral participation of the Nursing class, adults between 18 and 59 years old. Data collection will take place through consultation techniques available documentation and assessment methods made by teachers in the network, with notes and reports already available at the institution for comparative analysis. Professional teaching is key to ensuring optimum and inclusive education, with information and computing technologies (ICTs) among the ways of achieving this challenge, along with the necessary skills to exploit them. This study aims to understand the level of digital skills of educators at vocational training centres in Spain. The study describes, compares and analyses the responses of 47.11% of the population to a validated ad hoc questionnaire with a reliability of α = .81. A descriptive, correlational and Bayesian network data study was developed using the SPSS Statistics 22 and OpenMarkov programs. The results show that the sample has user-level digital skills, mostly acquired through self-teaching and attending conferences. Furthermore, the most innovative resources and tools are poorly integrated into professional teaching, with specific teaching platforms and programs being the most unknown. In conclusion, administrations must face this challenge by offering permanent training programs to improve digital skills and, as consequence, improve the integration of technological resources as tools for a more accessible and inclusive education. Smartphones have become a ubiquitous element of modern life, especially among the young. This study characterizes and differentiates the use of smartphones among university students according to their gender. A total of 1,089 students from a Mexican public university participated. A questionnaire was administered that assessed the history of smartphone use, current use in various situations, and indicators of excessive use. Mann-Whitney and Chi-square tests were performed and the Bayes factor was calculated. Results showed that women spend more time using their phones for messaging and social networking. Women also experience more visual problems and musculoskeletal discomfort associated with excessive phone use. Conversely, men more frequently use their phones in the bathroom and while driving. The results suggest the need for interventions and awareness campaigns to promote healthy smartphone habits. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article analyzes the scope of women's labor participation in Mexico's financial sector and its impact on the generation of sustainable development, with a particular focus on the use of new technologies during the period 2020-2030. The research is based on a documentary approach, reviewing relevant literature, statistical data and case studies. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used to assess the integration of women in the financial sector and their contribution to sustainable development. The results indicate that female participation has increased significantly, driven by inclusive policies and the adoption of emerging technologies. The conclusions highlight that the inclusion of women in key roles within the financial sector not only promotes gender equality, but also fosters sustainable practices and improves the competitiveness of the sector. The continued implementation of inclusion policies and the promotion of digital literacy among women are recommended to maintain this positive trend. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Reducing the execution time of individual processes, or the execution of work by robots and cobots, affects the number of labor hours in the enterprise in production. The efficiency of the use of resources in production can be measured by the partial productivity index. Therefore, it was decided to address the topic of the impact of new technologies on productivity. Methodology: Analysis of international literature from main databases and Polish literature, critical analysis of the literature, and analysis of macroeconomic statistical data focused on gross domestic product, employment, and innovation activities of enterprises. Data for analysis are from OECD statistical databases and the Poland Central Statistical Office. Findings: An analysis of the literature on productivity and the impact of new technologies on its level showed that the most obvious is to study labor productivity. Some studies for national economies have shown just such a relationship. Taking this into account, the author of the publication undertook an analysis of the situation in Poland. A significant increase in innovation-active enterprises (especially in services) and a significant increase in the share of R&D spending were seen. The share of spending on innovation and new technologies is growing, with a steady increase in the productivity of the economy. Based on this, the conclusion is that investment especially in new technologies can help improve productivity levels. Research limitations: The analysis mainly concerns the research desk, the analysis of data for the Polish economy is based on data available in the databases of the Central Statistical Office and the OECD. Continued research on enterprises is advisable to be able to better study the productivity of enterprises. The purpose of this article is to conduct a comparative analysis of remote work regulation in the EU, Poland and Kosovo, also with consideration of issues related to the processing of personal data during remote work. The authors aim to assess the specificities, strengths and weaknesses of both regulatory models, from the point of view of actual and future legal developments. Additionally, given the early stage of regulation, they seek to explore the applicability of EU experiences to Kosovo and to identify potential vulnerabilities that may arise under EU regulation. In this context, they aim to determine whether EU solutions should be considered as models for implementation in both Poland and Kosovo, as well as to analyse the risk of overregulation, which could impede certain employees from exercising their rights to remote work and potentially lead to inequalities in employment. The objective of the regulation should be to strike a balance between protecting personal data and ensuring equality in the workplace. Therefore, the authors try to answer the question of whether the protection of personal data could be subject to an abuse of rights by employers, who might use it as a pretext to deny certain groups of employees the opportunity to work remotely, which is particularly pertinent for individuals with special needs. Microwave sterilization has seen many innovative solutions to solve its primary problem of non-uniform heating. Since its initial studies in the late 1940s, there were solutions that were put forward to address, such as using mechanical holders to contain the inner pressure of the package with food materials, use of fluids instead of mechanical holders, use of strong containers or polymeric packages, and use of monolayer and multilayer packaging. But even all these solutions could not entirely solve the problem of non-uniform heating. After the 2000s, the rise in numerous numerical simulations and modelling software, opened the doors to further explore this field of research with more details and to numerically model the multi-physics phenomenon. However, studies have still not been sufficient to commercially deploy microwave sterilization systems to their full potential. Challenges such as temperature measurement, pressure measurement and control, usage of the right packaging material, and homogeneous heat distribution are still to be addressed, all while developing an energy-efficient process using numerical modelling and simulation tools. Hence, this review aims to study the microwave sterilization systems since the early days of research and the packaging aspect during the microwave sterilization process. En este artículo se discute el trabajo mediado por plataformas a partir del examen de las características de los trabajos de conductores y repartidores. Con base en el análisis de los nuevos atributos de este tipo de trabajo, que implican para los trabajadores una regresión en cuanto a los derechos laborales y sociales, así como su reciente expansión a muchas otras actividades, el texto también busca discutir el significado de estas nuevas formas de trabajo para el capitalismo.

The growth of the world population in recent decades has created the need to increase food production, and this growing demand generates the need for greater efficiency and productivity in agriculture. Thus, countries that want to be competitive in the agricultural sector need to introduce technological improvements in order to reduce costs and increase the yield of agricultural activity. In this paper, we highlight the importance of the agricultural sector in Brazil’s GDP and present some examples of new technologies, mainly based on semiconductor devices, applied to the agricultural sector.
