Background: A randomized controlled trial was conducted to examine the effectiveness of the Modular Approach to Therapy for Youths with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Conduct Problems (MATCH) for Norwegian youths referred to seven Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics. MATCH addresses comorbid problems that are common in children and youth, and its transdiagnostic design may therefore be more effective compared to standard treatments that often address single problems. MATCH has, however, never been evaluated in a Nordic context, and the present study aimed to fill this gap. Methods: A sample of 121 Norwegian youths (Mage = 9.83, 58.7% boys) was randomly assigned to MATCH (n = 73) or treatment as usual (TAU, n = 48). Primary treatment outcomes were youths' externalizing and internalizing problems as reported by parents, using the Child Behavior Checklist, the Behavior and Feelings Survey. In addition, the study included assessments of parent-reported Top Problems. Results: Overall, youths showed significant improvements in both externalizing and internalizing problems from intake to post-test. Results did not provide evidence that MATCH reduces symptoms of these problems compared to TAU. Conclusions: The findings were inconclusive regarding whether MATCH was more effective than TAU in reducing youth internalizing and externalizing problems. The traditional approach to modern software engineering training often emphasizes theoretical knowledge and practical skills within the context of long-term courses, some lasting up to 2 academic terms. However, in recent years, the modular approach has been gaining popularity. This approach offers a more flexible and focused structure, typically lasting only about 2 months, allowing learners to concentrate on specific topics and skills. Тhis paper presented а pedagogical experiment, the analysis of which confirms that the study subjects taught using the modular approach statistically achieved significantly higher scores in the areas of programming, software architecture and software testing compared to students taught using the traditional approach. Patient-reported outcome (PRO) questionnaires considered in this paper contain multiple subscales, although not all subscales are equally relevant for administration in all target patient populations. A group of measurement experts, developers, license holders, and other scientific-, regulatory-, payer-, and patient-focused stakeholders participated in a panel to discuss the benefits and challenges of a modular approach, defined here as administering a subset of subscales out of a multi-scaled PRO measure. This paper supports the position that it is acceptable, and sometimes preferable, to take a modular approach when administering PRO questionnaires, provided that certain conditions have been met and a rigorous selection process performed. Based on the experiences and perspectives of all stakeholders, using a modular approach can reduce patient burden and increase the relevancy of the items administered, and thereby improve measurement precision and eliminate wasted data without sacrificing the scientific validity and utility of the instrument. The panelists agreed that implementing a modular approach is not expected to have a meaningful impact on item responses, subscale scores, variability, reliability, validity, and effect size estimates; however, collecting additional evidence for the impact of context may be desirable. It is also important to recognize that adequate rationale and evidence (e.g., of fit-for-purpose status and relevance to patients) and a robust consensus process that includes patient perspectives are required to inform selection of subscales, as in any other measurement circumstance, is expected. Face to face learning engagement of students and teachers within the school has been suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic. This results to adoption of the modular learning to ensure the continuity of education. This study aimed to describe the experiences of the Grade 11 students on learning Mathematics in the modular approach among the five selected schools in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat during the school year 2022-2023. These experiences were identified through a descriptive study utilizing focus group discussion to five participants and surveys to the 345 respondents in the selected schools through purposeful sampling. The findings indicate that students spent most of their time in answering the module, experienced flexible learning, engaged themselves in the different activities provided, and they learned on their own. Nevertheless, challenges still emerged despite these desirable experiences. It was revealed that students choose not to submit the tasks on time because of the overloaded learning tasks provided, they do not set priorities, there are lots of distractions while doing the tasks, and most of them rely on the answer keys provided on the module. However, students utilized different coping strategies to handle challenges on answering the mathematical tasks on the modules. Students utilized religious coping, meaning-making, allowing themselves to play out at their best, both adjustment and considerations, and asking for assistance also helped them to cope with the difficulty in learning Mathematics. Besides, this study proposed a learning framework in Mathematics in the modular approach. The adoption of such framework has enormous implications, not only understanding the nature and quality of the modular learning achievements, but also of exposition of gaps that need to bridge in future modular learning research and practice. Regulation coefficients assessment in a particle accelerator power conversion system depends on the topology, the magnet and the desired transient response. The series/parallel combination of a generic power converter (a brick) to develop a larger one (e.g., the SIRIUS power converter family developed at CERN) allows to feed several magnets with different parameters. Then, such standardization allows to develop a control platform and associated regulation system that is common to all the possible configurations. Regardless of the clear flexibility, the commissioning of these converters faces some drawbacks, like the large amount of coefficient sets and the tuning performed for different workers: this leads to certain inconsistency and spread in the transient responses obtained, which is coherent with the inherent subjectivity of the adopted approach. In this work, a methodology for automatic identification of regulator coefficients is developed. From the definition of a desired time transient response, the method uses the response to a step voltage test to evaluate some figures of merit and the particle swarm technique to change the coefficients accordingly to the error obtained. A MATLAB-based app to implement the method in a user-friendly environment is developed. Experimental results based on a $400\operatorname{kW}$ prototype validate the proposal.

Micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of modern economies. MSMEs struggle to make the most of existing insolvency and restructuring tools, because their owners and directors often lack the knowledge, expertise and funding to navigate the legal tools available to companies in financial distress. This article analyses recommendations stemming from reputable international organisations, as well as the academic debate in the area, to identify whether there is general consensus in favour of an efficient and MSME-friendly insolvency framework being implemented at the national level. The purpose of this research is to assess whether the states considered in this study (Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom) should introduce MSME-specific rules, or alternatively amend existing rules, to comply with these recommendations. The educational system was greatly affected by the wrath of the pandemic. With this, it is pertinent to encourage flexible learning in schools so that policies can be created and implemented. Even so, the way it was put into practice did help mainland residents to some extent. This paper focused on the lived experiences of how teachers" resiliency pivotal in utilizing the modular printed modality. This study outlined the problems, coping mechanisms, and educational experiences of the hinterland teachers at Maningcao National High School. As a result, the information was gathered through a thorough interview. The information gathering revealed a variety of issues, including the inaccuracy of the students' evaluations, the complexity of the subjects and how they are applied, the role of parents in the teaching-learning process, and the challenges of the learning mode. As coping techniques, teachers used parent communication, extracurricular resources, and continual communication via social media platforms and other applications. Participants' challenges and coping mechanisms are influenced by how they view the modular approach. Because of this, the Department of Education may provide professional opportunities, such as workshops, seminars, and training, to assist instructors in acquiring the abilities necessary to succeed in this 21st-century learning environment. The fact that there are many limitations of the current classification systems led to the emergence of transdiagnostic approaches (TA) that focus on the common psychopathological processes underlying disorders rather than categorical diagnoses. TA focuses on the underlying common psychopathological processes in the emergence and persistence of mental disorders. Thus, even if the disorders are categorically diagnosed differently, it can be determined how they overlap or separate with each other. TA aims to treat mental disorders using these aspects. TA has a flexible and modular structure that can be easily integrated into cognitive behavioral therapies. The rest of this review will focus on the Unified Protocol (UP), one of the most popular TA examples. The main purpose of the UP is to enable patients to recognize their feelings and give more adaptive reactions to their negative emotions. Accordingly, UP consists of eight modules. The modules can usually be completed in a total of 11 - 17 weeks. Each 50 to 60-minute individual session is held once a week. If necessary, changes can be made to the number or the frequency of sessions allocated to modules. The goals of each module of the UP and the treatment approaches towards these goals allow a very clearly defined approach. For this reason, there is a need for a detailed evaluation, conceptualization and treatment plan before the UP is put into practice. We hope that mental health professionals from Turkey will contribute to the developments in the UP.

A modular approach to the construction of electric machines, drive systems, power supply systems is a new direction of modern technology development. Especially, the modular approach is promising for electric vehicles due to such positive aspects as increased efficiency, fault tolerance, overall reliability, safety, enhanced control capabilities, etc. In this work, the modular approach is comprehensively applied to an EV powertrain system, which includes a dual three-phase (DTP) BLDC motor with two machine modules of an asymmetric configuration, two battery modules and a supercapacitor module (SCM). The proposed H–H configuration of modular EV powertrain system includes four voltage source inverters that combine the power modules with the open ends of the windings (OEW) of the module machine armature, and provide control of their operation. Based on the developed mode system of the OEW machine module operation for EV traction and braking, a general control algorithm for the proposed configuration of the modular EV powertrain system has been developed. It combines the control of the operating modes with the functions of maintaining the required SOC level of the SCM and equalizing the SOCs of the two battery modules. The study described and examined the delivery, effectiveness and efficiency of modular approach in teaching among the Pandi Heights Elementary School and Akle Elementary Schools both of which were within the auspices of Schools Division of Bulacan. There were 54 teachers served as the respondents of the study. They were given survey questionnaire which was administered and retrieved through google forms. Results revealed that utilization of modular approach was significant and contributory to achieve meaningful learning in order to achieve efficient delivery of learning competencies and skills were honed independently based from the acquired learning experiences of learners. Thus, the findings showed that the schools were able to provide and assist teachers in module preparation and expenses. Apparently, there were personal expenses made by the teachers to supplement the reproduction of modules, financial support of the school was found significant to prepare and reproduce the modules. Further, proper evaluation to teachers' instructional competence was made in order to monitor the checking and assessment of learners' outputs contained in their modules. Profile of the respondents in terms of age, highest educational attainment and number of years in teaching were positively correlated with the delivery and effectiveness of modular approach in teaching elementary grades. The synergistic interaction of different components in heteronanocrystals induces interfacial phenomena and novel functionalities. Nonetheless, effective technologies to design and fabricate heteronanocrystals with materials on demand are still missing. Rich heterostructures in a copper patina are known to form at room temperature and under atmospheric pressure. The redox process of copper tarnish inspired the discovery of a simple strategy to achieve heteronanocrystals that contained elements from group 3–11 and group 14–16. The interface redox-induced method is self-regulating at ambient conditions and applicable for metal, semiconductor, and dielectric materials. The enhanced interface bonding endows the heteronanocrystals with outstanding stability and catalytic performance, while the modular approach enables the design and fabrication of heteronanocrystals with intended materials to meet different purposes. The technological advancements in the semiconductor industry have significantly improved over the years. However, Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology has its fabrication limitations. This requires new methods and materials for computation at the nanometric level. Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) is a revolutionary method that can sidestep CMOS's practical limits. ALU being the key component in processor design must be optimized for high-speed processing and computation of data to meet the current requirements of portable gadgets. In this paper, a modular approach and extensible architecture for Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) design are proposed for high-speed computation. The design of the ALU is extended to perform the computation on multiple bits. The proposed design of the ALU performs 8 operations (four arithmetic, four logical) up to 32-bit computation. The architecture of ALU is made of modular blocks of XOR, XNOR, Adder, and Multiplexer instead of conventional gates. The QCA layout of the 32-bit ALU has 23,189 cells in a 62.68 µm2 area with a delay of 34 clock cycles. The energy dissipation of a 32-bit ALU is 300 meV estimated using coherence vector energy simulation in QCA Designer-E. The delay of an N-bit ALU is calculated by the formula N + 2, which shows the delay efficiency of the proposed architecture of ALU design. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper compares two electronically controllable solutions of triangular and square wave generators benefiting from a single IC package including all necessary active elements (modular cells fabricated in I3T 0.35 µm ON Semiconductor process operating with ±1.65 V supply voltage). Internal cells are used for construction of building blocks of the generator (integrator and Schmitt trigger/comparator). Proposed solutions have adjustable parameters dependent on the values of DC control voltages and currents. Attention is given to the mathematical expressions for the advantageous tunability of these generators. Theoretical mathematical functions comparing the standard linear formula with special expression for the frequency adjustment are evaluated and compared with experimentally obtained results. Mathematical functions prove that the proposed topologies improve efficiency of tunability and reduce overall complexity of both generators. Features of proposed solutions were verified experimentally. Both single-parameter tunable designs target on the operation in bands from tens to hundreds of kHz (from 13 kHz up to 251 kHz for the driving voltage between 0.05 V and 1.0 V for the first solution; from 12 kHz up to 847 kHz for the driving current between 5 µA and 140 µA for the second solution). A comparison with similar solutions indicates beneficial performance of the proposed solutions in tunability ratio vs. driving parameter ratio and also because simplicity of circuitry is low. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Philippine government made sure that learning was still in force in the country's basic education system by utilizing a modular approach in delivering its programs. All lessons were to be completed without a teacher on-hand, where students will simply rely on their self-paced learning style in understanding and answering the written activities given in the modules. This study describes the self-paced learning process and experiences of students in the exploration of Jose Rizal's literary masterpiece, Noli Me Tangere. A phenomenological approach was adopted for this study, focusing on the lived experiences of the research participants during this period of learning under a protracted lockdown. Axial Coding was utilized to construct linkages among data to reveal codes, and emerging themes were analyzed. It is found that students were able to practice self-paced learning despite some negative feedback, while the stakeholders' support for students during the pandemic is individualized and vital to the student's learning experience. The research aimed to analyze how parents and children dealt with home education as well as its effectiveness. On the so-called new normal, many impediments and disruptions came to the lives of stakeholders. Thousands of schools were forced to shut down due to financial constraints and/or issues. Parents had thought of finding an alternative way to continue with the schooling of their children. In the Philippines, a modular approach was introduced, representing the home education/schooling type of instruction. This was the purpose of the research. Five parents served as the participants of the research in which ethnography was used as its qualitative approach. It is found that homeschooling and education are proved to be responsive and relevant to many people due to tangible benefits and perks enjoyed by the learners and parents. On the other hand, parents and children also see and experience some challenges in doing the modules’ requirements. It is advised that parents, children (learners), and teachers need to work in collaboration for the successful outcomes of homeschooling. Another issue is how parents should perform an assessment with their children as learners. However, teachers should not only be there for online consultation. This method of teaching and learning is still in the process of adjustment, but soon people involved in this paradigm will realize its value and role in today’s global education and situation.

The co-evolution of product and production network aims to provide a concurrent design and management of product architecture, local production systems, and OEM-suppliers relationships. This paper proposes a modular-based approach as an application of the mirroring hypothesis for supporting the co-definition of product structure and supplier network. A new approach to dividing the mathematical content into partial modules is presented. This allows to compose subjects with mathematical content from such partial modules and flexibly adapt these subjects to the needs of specific study programs at technical universities. The consistent and systematic implementation of this approach in a typical learning management system is described in detail. This approach means significant changes in the massive (or bulk) delivery of knowledge using available information technologies. The main benefits of the presented system consist in the increase the resulting level of knowledge of students along with their satisfaction with the results and the form of their study. The most important changes arising from our approach are the following. First, the study process became distributed in space and in time. Second, it can be piecewise continuous in time, and, since all students can study at their own pace, it runs in multiple individual time scales. Quantum dots (QDs) exhibit size-tunable optical properties, making them suitable for efficient light-sensing and light-emitting devices. Tandem devices that can convert near-infrared (NIR) to visible (Vis) signals can be fabricated by integrating an NIR-sensing QD device with a Vis electroluminescence (EL) QD device. However, these devices require delicate control of the QD layer during processing to prevent damage to the predeposited QD layers in tandem devices during the subsequent deposition of other functional layers. This has restricted attainable device structures for QD-based upconversion devices. Herein, we present a modular approach for fabricating QD-based optoelectric upconversion devices. This approach involves using NIR QD-absorbing (Abs) and Vis QD-EL units as building modules, both of which feature cross-linked functional layers that exhibit structural tolerance to dissolution during subsequent solution-based processes. Tandem devices are fabricated in both normal (EL unit on Abs unit) and inverted (Abs unit on EL unit) structures using the same set of NIR QD-Abs and Vis QD-EL units stacked in opposite sequences. The tandem device in the normal structure exhibits a high NIR photon-to-Vis-photon conversion efficiency of up to 1.9% in a practical transmissive mode. By extending our modular approach, we also demonstrate a three-stack tandem device that incorporates a single NIR-absorbing unit coupled with two EL units, achieving an even higher conversion efficiency of up to 3.2%.

In this pandemic, a big change in the teaching and learning process had to be embraced by different learning sectors as the education sector is one of the most affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Both teachers and students must be flexible in the use of different teaching and learning modalities to maintain the quality of education. Since face-to-face is not possible at this time, online learning, modular teaching, and video-based teaching are sample modalities that a teacher can use to deliver instruction. This study also aimed to describe the students' attitude and their learning satisfaction in the currently used teaching modalities by their teachers. The study revealed that most students favor the use of the modular method. The results also show that student-respondents' profiles found no significant correlation to their attitude in the modular approach while in the online approach, only sex was found related to attitude. Student-respondents’ profile (i.e., number of siblings) was found to be significantly related to the assessment of modular approach in terms of delivery of instruction while age and income were found also related to assessment when analyzed in terms of online approach. Student-respondents' profiles had no significant correlation related to the assessment of modular approach in terms of learning satisfaction while age and income were found related to assessment in terms of learning satisfaction when analyzed in terms of online approach.

This study aims to examine the effect of administration of shorter and longer versions of questionnaires on key indicators such as age displacement, birth displacement, age heaping, and skipping questions on antenatal care (ANC) visits and use of contraceptive methods in India using National Family Health Survey (NFHS)-4 data. At the individual level, the effect of the adoption of the shorter and longer versions of the questionnaires on the age displacement of women and children and skipping of the key questions is insignificant. Patients with COVID-19 can develop pneumonia, severe symptoms of acute respiratory distress syndrome, and multiple organ failure. Nevertheless, the variety of forms of this disease requires further research on the pathogenesis of this disease. Based on the analysis of published data and original experiments on the concentrations of SARS-CoV-2 in biological fluids of the nasopharynx, lungs, and intestines and using a developed modular model of the virus distribution in human tissue and organs, an assessment of the SARS-CoV-2 reproduction in various compartments of the body is presented. Most of the viral particles can transport to the esophagus from the nasopharynx. The viral particles entering the gastrointestinal tract will obviously be accompanied by the infection of the intestinal epithelium and accumulation of the virus in the intestinal lumen in an amount proportional to their secretory and protein-synthetic activities. The relatively low concentration of SARS-CoV-2 in tissues implies an essential role of transport processes and redistribution of the virus from the nasopharynx and intestines to the lungs. Robust traffic sign detection and recognition (TSDR) is of paramount importance for the successful realization of autonomous vehicle technology. The importance of this task has led to vast amount of research efforts and many promising methods have been proposed in the existing literature. However, most of these methods have been evaluated on clean and challenge-free datasets and overlooked the performance deterioration associated with different challenging conditions (CCs) that obscure the traffic-sign images captured in the wild. In this paper, we look at the TSDR problem under CCs and focus on the performance degradation associated with them. To this end, we propose a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based prior enhancement focused TSDR framework. Our modular approach consists of a CNN-based challenge classifier, Enhance-Net–an encoder-decoder CNN architecture for image enhancement, and two separate CNN architectures for sign-detection and classification. We propose a novel training pipeline for Enhance-Net that focuses on the enhancement of the traffic sign regions (instead of the whole image) in the challenging images subject to their accurate detection. We used CURE-TSD dataset consisting of traffic videos captured under different CCs to evaluate the efficacy of our approach. We experimentally show that our method obtains an overall precision and recall of 91.1% and 70.71% that is 7.58% and 35.90% improvement in precision and recall, respectively, compared to the current benchmark. In this paper, we seek to understand how to foster an inclusive learning community in a social science remote course. Through student feedback, our retrospective reflections on our course design and teaching, and a literature review of effective strategies that promote inclusive learning environments, we highlight the importance of embedding meaningful interactions and carefully scaffolded motivation, engagement, and management strategies in online learning settings. We draw upon a tree metaphor to describe a process-oriented approach to fostering an inclusive learning community that illuminates the instructional conditions and practices necessary for a transformative learning experience in remote contexts. Рассматривается вопрос формирования социально-информационной компетентности учащихся (которые проходят обучение в средних специальных учебных заведениях – колледжах) педагогических специальностей при реализации компонентов медиаобразования. Дана характеристика социально-информационной компетентности, описаны способы использования компонентов медиаобразования в системе среднего специального образования. Представлены возможные пути формирования компетентности, названы основные направления работы. Дана характеристика педагогических условий, которые должны соблюдаться для формирования социально-информационной компетентности у учащихся в процессе реализации образовательного процесса. Выделены такие педагогические условия, как организационные: специфика организации образовательной среды и ее оснащение; внутренняя позиция и мотивы учащегося; учет содержания и вариативность учебно-программной документации. Названы основные направления модернизации образовательного процесса: корректировка учебных планов, введение модулей, направленных на формирование высокого уровня социально-информационной компетентности у учащихся педагогических специальностей. Охарактеризована роль преподавателя в формировании компетентности учащихся, описана деятельность школы профессионального мастерства для преподавателей. Resumo: Considerando a internet como um espaço em que circulam uma diversidade de discursos de alto potencial polêmico, propícios à materialização de insultos e agressões verbais, o objetivo deste trabalho é investigar as estratégias utilizadas pelos interactantes para a construção de suas intervenções no meio digital. A perspectiva de análise está centrada no modelo de impolidez sugerido por Culpeper (1996, 2005) e no Modelo de Análise Modular do Discurso (ROULET; FILLIETTAZ; GROBET, 2001). Busca-se apresentar duas abordagens para a análise dos atos impolidos, demonstrando de que maneira elas podem ser complementares no estudo da impolidez. Dessa forma, a interseção entre elas permite, além da classificação dos atos impolidos, descrever a organização textual dos comentários a fim de desvelar a estrutura dos discursos ofensivos e a ação dos internautas na negociação de faces, lugares e territórios. Abstract: Once the internet is a space in which there is a huge circulation of strongly polemical discourses, prone to the materialization of insults and verbal agressions, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the strategies used by the interactors when constructing their intervention in the digital media. The perspective of the analysis is centered on the model of impoliteness suggested by Culpeper (1996, 2005) and on the Modular Approach to Discourse Analysis (ROULET; FILLIETTAZ; GROBET, 2001). We seek to present two approaches to the analysis of impolite acts, demonstrating how they can be complementary in the study of impoliteness. In this way, the intersection between them allows, besides the classification of the impolite acts, to describe the textual organization of the comments in order to reveal the structure of offensive discourses and the action of the internet users in the negotiation of faces, places and territories. Subject of Research. The paper proposes an approach to the development of a numerical control kernel. The approach implies creating software from separate modules interacting via a unified programming interface with a high level of granularity. Thus, a system with a required configuration can be developed in a relatively short time. The study also considers the possibility of using open source computer numerical control systems as a basis, which will further reduce the design time. The approach for computer numerical control development is considered in the context of its application on multipurpose modular equipment. Method. The proposed solution is based on a multi-protocol control system and combines software and hardware components from different manufacturers. Platform independence is also provided. This method allows a prompt development of the numerical control system for any type of processing or other operations according to the requirements of hardware, and also gives wide opportunities for further modifications that increase the equipment efficiency. Main Results. The practical result obtained is a software trajectory-planning library, including geometry analysis, feed rate control and interpolation. Commands for controlling outputs and status of inputs are integrated into the cyclic data of the drive control and transmitted via the same interface. All developed modules are independently designed and can be embedded into other open source systems, as well as be further modified for processing efficiency increase. Practical Relevance. The work is aimed at increasing the economic independence of small design organizations and enterprises. The proposed modular approach allows the development of a required numerical control system for multipurpose modular equipment in a short time, and will significantly expand the capabilities of rapid prototyping and ensure the prompt production of pilot batches.

In modern-day block ciphers, the role of substitution-boxes is to transform the plaintext data nonlinearly to generate ciphertext data with sufficient confusion. It has been well-confirmed that the robustness and security of such block ciphers heavily based on the cryptographic strength of the underlying substitution-boxes. Reason being, they are the only components that are held responsible to bring required nonlinearity and complexity into the security system which can frustrate the attackers. Accordingly, a number of different concepts have been explored to construct strong S-boxes. To move forward with the same aim, a novel simple modular approach, the very first time, is investigated to construct nonlinear S-box in this paper. The proposed new modular approach consists of three operations such as new transformation, modular inverses, and permutation. A number of highly nonlinear S-boxes can be easily constructed with slight changes in the novel transformation parameters. An example S-box is presented whose critical performance assessment against some benchmarking criterions such as high nonlinearity, absence of fixed points, fulfillment of SAC and BIC properties, low differential uniformity and linear approximation probability and comparison with recent S-boxes demonstrate its upright cryptographic potentiality. In addition, an image encryption algorithm is also proposed wherein the generated S-box is applied to perform the pixels shuffling and substitution for strong statistical and differential encryption performance.

This paper compares two electronically controllable solutions of triangular and square wave generators benefiting from a single IC package including all necessary active elements (modular cells fabricated in I3T 0.35 µm ON Semiconductor process operating with ±1.65 V supply voltage). Internal cells are used for construction of building blocks of the generator (integrator and Schmitt trigger/comparator). Proposed solutions have adjustable parameters dependent on the values of DC control voltages and currents. Attention is given to the mathematical expressions for the advantageous tunability of these generators. Theoretical mathematical functions comparing the standard linear formula with special expression for the frequency adjustment are evaluated and compared with experimentally obtained results. Mathematical functions prove that the proposed topologies improve efficiency of tunability and reduce overall complexity of both generators. Features of proposed solutions were verified experimentally. Both single-parameter tunable designs target on the operation in bands from tens to hundreds of kHz (from 13 kHz up to 251 kHz for the driving voltage between 0.05 V and 1.0 V for the first solution; from 12 kHz up to 847 kHz for the driving current between 5 µA and 140 µA for the second solution). A comparison with similar solutions indicates beneficial performance of the proposed solutions in tunability ratio vs. driving parameter ratio and also because simplicity of circuitry is low. The qualitative evaluation and comparison of parameters of both circuits is given and confirms theoretical expectations.

A new approach to dividing the mathematical content into partial modules is presented. This allows to compose subjects with mathematical content from such partial modules and flexibly adapt these subjects to the needs of specific study programs at technical universities. The consistent and systematic implementation of this approach in a typical learning management system is described in detail. This approach means significant changes in the massive (or bulk) delivery of knowledge using available information technologies. The main benefits of the presented system consist in the increase the resulting level of knowledge of students along with their satisfaction with the results and the form of their study. The most important changes arising from our approach are the following. First, the study process became distributed in space and in time. Second, it can be piecewise continuous in time, and, since all students can study at their own pace, it runs in multiple individual time scales. The most important change, however, is the shift of the paradigm the educational process from transmissive “teach–learn” to active “study”.

Predicting the range of substrates accepted by an enzyme from its amino acid sequence is challenging. Although sequence‐ and structure‐based annotation approaches are often accurate for predicting broad categories of substrate specificity, they generally cannot predict which specific molecules will be accepted as substrates for a given enzyme, particularly within a class of closely related molecules. Combining targeted experimental activity data with structural modeling, ligand docking, and physicochemical properties of proteins and ligands with various machine learning models provides complementary information that can lead to accurate predictions of substrate scope for related enzymes. Here we describe such an approach that can predict the substrate scope of bacterial nitrilases, which catalyze the hydrolysis of nitrile compounds to the corresponding carboxylic acids and ammonia. Each of the four machine learning models (logistic regression, random forest, gradient‐boosted decision trees, and support vector machines) performed similarly (average ROC = 0.9, average accuracy = ~82%) for predicting substrate scope for this dataset, although random forest offers some advantages. Information on the structure of agriculture is necessary to understand the risks for, among others, food security and the environment. The FAO advises all countries to carry out an agricultural census every 10 years to get a full picture. The European Union (EU) collects data on farm structure for the common agricultural policy (CAP) and other policies, but at more frequent intervals. This paper presents the technical and methodological aspects of the newly modified system for the European agricultural censuses. Under the new set-up, EU countries can reduce the burden on respondents while increasing the availability of statistics for the census 2020. A set of 184 core variables is collected as a census for all farms above common physical thresholds in all countries with the target of covering 98% of each country's agriculture. For sub-samples of farms, the core variables will be supplemented with variables grouped in three modules. The system allows countries to use multiple sources and methods to obtain data subject to meeting pre-defined quality requirements. The efforts of the European Statistical System (ESS) to allow countries who do not meet the census's 98% coverage requirements to conduct a sample data collection on the smallest farms and further ways of reducing costs and burden are discussed. This paper aims to reveal recent trends in the development of modular buildings, using the knowledge of experience in architecture. The first part of the paper provides an overview regarding recent scientific developments in modular design and construction, accompanied by a historical overview that outlines the specific features of modular construction. The second part outlines the issue of architectural experience through the perception of architecture and the enactive approach. The intersection of neuroscience and architecture is outlined as one of the emerging fields in this subject matter. Background: The study of disease progression relies on clinical data, including text data, and extracting valuable features from text data has been a research hot spot. With the rise of large language models (LLMs), semantic-based extraction pipelines are gaining acceptance in clinical research. However, the security and feature hallucination issues of LLMs require further attention., Objective: This study aimed to introduce a novel modular LLM pipeline, which could semantically extract features from textual patient admission records., Methods: The pipeline was designed to process a systematic succession of concept extraction, aggregation, question generation, corpus extraction, and question-and-answer scale extraction, which was tested via 2 low-parameter LLMs: Qwen-14B-Chat (QWEN) and Baichuan2-13B-Chat (BAICHUAN). A data set of 25,709 pregnancy cases from the People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, was used for evaluation with the help of a local expert's annotation. The pipeline was evaluated with the metrics of accuracy and precision, null ratio, and time consumption. Additionally, we evaluated its performance via a quantified version of Qwen-14B-Chat on a consumer-grade GPU., Results: The pipeline demonstrates a high level of precision in feature extraction, as evidenced by the accuracy and precision results of Qwen-14B-Chat (95.52% and 92.93%, respectively) and Baichuan2-13B-Chat (95.86% and 90.08%, respectively). Furthermore, the pipeline exhibited low null ratios and variable time consumption. The INT4-quantified version of QWEN delivered an enhanced performance with 97.28% accuracy and a 0% null ratio., Conclusions: The pipeline exhibited consistent performance across different LLMs and efficiently extracted clinical features from textual data. It also showed reliable performance on consumer-grade hardware.
