Abstract

The existing personalized film recommendation methods take the user’s historical rating as an important basis for recommendation. However, the user’s rating standards are different, so it is difficult to mine the user’s real preferences and form accurate push. Therefore, to achieve high-quality personalized recommendation of films, it is particularly important to mine the emotion of user reviews. In this article, a personalized recommendation method based on sentiment analysis of film reviews is proposed, where natural language processing technology is used to mine the emotional tendency of user reviews. The multi-modal emotional features are weighted and the weighted fusion feature vector after PSO is taken as the overall emotion vector, then the emotional similarity of weighted fusion is calculated by considering the time factor of content publishing and the average emotional tendency of users. By calculating the matching degree of emotional value between users and films, the top-N film recommendation for target users is given. The test results show that the effect of the personalized film recommendation system based on multimodality is superior to that of the comparison method, which effectively solves the problem of different user rating scales, and really increases users’ interest in watching films.

Abstract

In view of the fractal evolution phenomenon in Internet information dissemination, this paper constructs a generalized fractal network by analyzing the characteristics of user dissemination behavior and according to the dissemination trend of actual information. On this basis, it reveals the fractal evolution mechanism in Internet information dissemination and its dissemination dynamic characteristics and rules. First, based on node similarity, a fractal propagation model of Internet information is constructed. Second, based on the scale-free network and according to the user characteristics, the information dissemination process is simulated and a generalized fractal network is evolved. Then, the key factors influencing the formation of fractal networks, the characteristics, and the rules of propagation dynamics are analyzed. Finally, the rationality and validity of the model are verified by crawling the real user forwarded data in the micro-blog. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

With the popularity of social media, including micro-blog, mining effective information in short texts has become an increasingly important issue. However, due to the sparseness, high dimensionality and large amount of data, mining this information is a very challenging task. In this paper, we propose a method to extend the Dirichlet multinomial mixture (DMM) topic model by combining the user-LDA topic model based on internal data expansion with the potential feature vector representation of words trained on a very large external corpus (we refer to it as ULW-DMM). The experimental results show that the ULW-DMM model produces a relatively large improvement in topic consistency and classification tasks for topic modeling of microblog short texts.

Abstract

Some words existing in micro-blog short text have a bad effect on the accuracy of text similarity calculation,further affecting the quality of topic discovery.And these words are the same in shape or semantic meaning,but remote from the topic.A novel method of feature words selection based on micro-blog short text content and structured information was proposed,which could effectively choose some important feature words from the text.Moreover,in computing the similarity between texts,an improvement on computing the similarity between the text and the topic was made.Finally,the methods were combined together and applied to discover micro-blog topics.Experimental results show that the new method of topic discovery can effectively reduce the average missing rate and false detection rate,and improve the quality of topic discovery.

Abstract

Micro-blog services have become popular tools in the social networks. Online users discuss various topics in the micro-blog and some influential users can affect the opinions, attitudes, behaviors, or emotions of others. This paper proposes a user influence rank (UIRank) algorithm to identify the influential users through interaction information flow and interaction relationships among users in the micro-blog. The UIRank algorithm considers the contribution of user's tweet and the characteristics of information dissemination in the micro-blog networks and calculates user influence score iteratively by user follower graph. Experimental results show that the UIRank algorithm outperforms other existing related algorithms in the precision, recall, and F1-Measure value.

Abstract

Named entity recognition is a fundamental technology in natural language processing(NLP). In recent years, rapid development of social network platforms such as microblog presents new challenges to the traditional named entity recognition(NER) technology because of the unique form. In this paper, an improved method based on the conditional random field(CRF) model is proposed for microblog texts. Due to the short texts and semantic ambiguity, external data resources are introduced to generate the topic feature and word representation feature for training the model. Due to the large-scale of microblog data and the high cost of manual standardization, an active learning algorithm based on least confidence is adopted to enhance the training effect at a lower cost of labor. Experiments on a Sina weibo data set show that this method improves the F-score by 4.54% compared to the traditional CRF methods.

Abstract

This study provides a predictive measurement tool to examine perceived anxiety from a longitudinal perspective, using a non-intrusive machine learning approach to scale human rating of anxiety in microblogs. Results suggest that our chosen machine learning approach depicts perceived user state-anxiety fluctuations over time, as well as mean trait anxiety. We further find a reverse relationship between perceived anxiety and outcomes such as social engagement and popularity. Abstract

As the main carrier and platform of spreading network public opinion, micro-blog makes information disseminate more quickly and the influence of public opinion increased. Therefore, accurate analysis and prediction of micro-blog emotion are of great significance for predicting and controlling public opinion. In this paper, we propose the emotional component analysis and public opinion forecast on Chinese micro-blog posts based on maximum entropy model, which uses fine-grained to classify emotion of Chinese micro-blog. Firstly, we preprocess the Chinese micro-blog to filter the noise data. Moreover, the document frequency method and information gain principle are combined to extract features. Secondly, the maximum entropy model is employed to train classifier, and the selective integrated classifiers are used to analyze emotion. On this basis, the principle of the minority subordinate to the majority is used to predict public opinion. In addition, the experimental results have shown the accuracy of the proposed algorithm is 0.88, and the comparison of the four indicators of accuracy, recall, F-Measure and convergence error verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. Most community discovery methods determine the best community according to network topology and edge density, however, they have very high computational complexity, and are very sensi¬tive to the form and type of the network. To solve t hese problems, we propose an interactive optimiza-tion algorithm based on dynamic nodes adaptive incremental model for micro-blog communities. By opti¬mizing the interaction among members in each community, the algorithm efficiently searches the candi¬dates of the optimal community without traversing all the nodes by using the greedy algorithm. The model allows rapid and accurate measurement of interaction difference within community and across com¬munities. Finally, simulations on the data grabbed from benchmark networks and Sohu micro-blog plat¬form show that the proposed algorithm outperforms other algorithms in recall rate, accuracy, computa¬tion time, and network coverage rate. Abstract

The innovations that accompany the introduction of social media as a tool of communication have really set a pace at which several activities are carried out. The social network has attracted so many users across the world. Twitter becoming the second most widely used micro-blog after facebook, as real-time sharing information electronic tool. However, numerous user-interface challenges have been identified in twitter micro blog, ranging from credibility of the information shared on twitter to icons improvement. This paper applies heuristic evaluation techniques on twitter microblog. A web-based e-questionnaire is used as a means of collecting data from different level of users (Novice, Beginner and Professional). Over 100 users filled e-questionnaire to express their user experience which serves as source of data used in this study. The result according to the weighted score values state that the twitter as one example of micro-blog proved to be one of the best social networks, which also show that all information is credible in the platform. Abstract

To improve the discovery efficiency and quality of micro-blog topic,a method of rapid discovery and segmentation in micro-blog topics based on public emotional engagement analysis was proposed,it would prompt evolution of the topics,then generate new topics and gain emotional change trend.Firstly,common emotional words were mined from corpus to build emotional thesaurus based on emotional word dictionary and TFDF.Then,emotional text was extracted quickly and sigmoid function was utilized to detect the intensive period of emotional engagement,ensuring the validity of topic mining.Besides,an improved adaptive FCM was used to cluster and discover topics.The experimental results show that this method can enhance the efficiency and quality of topic discovery in mobile environment.
