People's attitudes towards experiencing foods they do not know or have never tasted before play a decisive role in their consumption preferences. Food neophilia also appears to impact this situation positively and contributes to the tendency to be open to new experiences. As one of these experiences, cooking courses contribute to the desire of individuals to escape from the routine of daily life with the new practices they provide, the desire to gain cultural experience by including different culinary cultures in their training, and the desire to gain prestige by sharing these training with their environment. From this point of view, the study aims to reveal the mediating role of food neophilia on the satisfaction of individuals participating in cooking courses and the effect of satisfaction on the intention to revisit. The study utilized the survey technique as a data collection tool within the framework of the quantitative research method. SPSS program was used to analyze the online survey data applied to 393 people who attended cooking courses. According to the results obtained, attending cooking courses and gaining cultural experience were effective on satisfaction, and food neophilia was mediating in the relationship between satisfaction and all independent variables except prestige. It was also concluded that satisfaction was effective on the intention to revisit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
