This study examines the research output of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) researchers from 2010 to 2023 using scientometric tools and the Web of Science database. Initially identifying 2956 articles, subsequent application of exclusion criteria yielded 2950 relevant documents, encompassing journal articles, reviews, conference papers, and other scholarly contributions. The analysis reveals a robust scientific output characterized by recent publication dates, underscoring the timeliness of ICAR's research. Key journals such as "PLOS ONE," "Frontiers in Plant Science," and "Scientific Reports" emerge as significant platforms for disseminating ICAR's findings. The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) stands out for its substantial research output and citation impact. Collaboration is a prominent feature, with many documents being co-authored, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of ICAR's research and facilitating knowledge exchange among researchers. The study employs Biblioshiny (Bibiliometrix) and VOSviewer software for bibliometric analysis, providing insights into growth trends, collaborative patterns, authorship trends, and institutional collaborations at both national and international levels. Interoperability between Current Research Information Systems (CRISs) plays an important role in unlocking the full potential of research information. This paper introduces a case study within the FAIRCORE4EOSC project that aims to integrate data from three CRIS systems using the new CERIF2 model as a common integration target. We present the key features of the CERIF2 model and the Metadata Schema and Crosswalk Registry (MSCR) that is developed in the project. We describe the process of designing a crosswalk from one of the source systems, the Finnish national CRIS Research.f i, to CERIF2 and report on the current status of support in the MSCR. This introduction discusses each element of the central theme of this special issue “mapping / uncertain / knowledge.” It claims a place for uncertainty in (between) histories of knowledge and ignorance. Moreover, this introduction argues the value of including maps in these histories. The history of knowledge and the history of maps and mappings not only share many characteristics; they can and should fruitfully inspire each other.

In this paper, we define some notions of R0-supra fuzzy bitopological space and R1 -supra fuzzy bitopological spaces in the sense of quasi-coincidence. We have explored the relationships among these notions and demonstrated properties such as good extension, hereditary, productive, and projective. We also show that R0-supra fuzzy bitopological space and R1 -supra fuzzy bitopological spaces are preserved under one-one onto fuzzy pairwise open and continuous mappings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study aims to explore the use of the conceptual metaphor PRODUCTS ARE WARRIORS in Vietnamese advertisements and analyze its nature from the national cultural and historical approach. Three research methods have been used to accomplish these aims, specifically discourse analysis, statistical analysis and categorization on the basis of a linguistic corpus consisting of 200 Vietnamese advertisements collected from different means of media, including newspaper, magazine, TV, radio, billboards, leaflet for 12 categories of products such as food and drinks, electronics and home appliances, mobile phones, cosmetics, real estate and resorts, telecommunications services, etc. The research findings demonstrate that the metaphor PRODUCTS ARE WARRIORS is used extensively in Vietnamese advertisements; its mappings are constructed on the two domains of PRODUCTS and WARRIORS. Not all the aspects of the source domain are mapped but only the most distinctive ones, including missions of warriors, strengths and powers of warriors, weapons used in the fight, tactics used in the battle, victory gained by warriors and battlefields. The six corresponding aspects of the target domain are functions, impacts on users, nature, operations, superior values of products and areas that products function on. The new and shocking situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic stimulated the analysis of its impact in discourse. Discourse analysts have concentrated on the use of metaphor to create specific conceptualizations of the disease aimed at communicating the events and developments while influencing public opinion. Similes have been given less attention but are equally telling when it comes to the conceptualization of the pandemic. In this paper we analyze a corpus of English and Spanish similes (about 100 examples from each language) where (corona)virus is the target. The examples were searched for on the Internet and cover a two-year period, from March 2020 to February 2022. The sources, mappings, and conceptual domains of the Covid-19 similes are analyzed in order to describe how the pandemic is conceptualized through the use of '(corona)virus is like X' similes. The coronavirus similes are classified according to three main domains, namely, natural forces and disasters, confrontation (including war), and arts and entertainment (including sports). Each domain conceptualizes the situation in different ways (so that citizens are presented as victims, fighters, experiencers, members of a team, etc.). Interestingly, there are many creative similes that cannot be classified into any general well-established domains and can only be accounted for by considering less conventional and more creative, culture-specific frames. The paper also analyzes the use of similes diachronically trying to uncover any evolution patterns in terms of frequency or domains in the two-year period analyzed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In recent years, there has been increasingly more discussion about sonification design, evaluation strategies, and the future of sonification in general. Concerns relate to the efficacy and usability of sonification methodologies and the lack of evidence supporting design choices. In sonification publications to date, there is little discussion on how the principles of psychoacoustics or auditory scene analysis (ASA) might be used to improve design methodologies. Proposed in this article is the perceptually congruent sonification (PerCS) model that highlights the links between sonification mappings and key perceptual factors that are most likely to affect the interpretability of sonified trends. The model explores the perceptual constraints associated with design choices such as presentation rate, tonality, space, and frequency range. The model highlights the dependencies these mappings have on our perception of frequency, timbre, loudness, and space: the core determinants of stream segregation (a key phenomenon of ASA). This model-centred approach is used to identify perceptually congruent design choices for auditory line charts, a popular and accessible form of parameter-mapping sonification. This article focuses predominately on identifying an efficient and perceptually congruent frequency range for auditory line charts, as there are no contemporary studies on this design choice, with auditory graphing tools leaving little guidance on what might be appropriate. Several psychoacoustically justified ranges are proposed by the PerCS research and are contrasted in a user study to determine the performance of narrow vs wide frequency ranges. Results show that a shorter range between 400 and 1400 Hz performs just as well as a wider range between 65 Hz and 1480 Hz. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article is devoted to the study of the problem of compactness of solutions of the differential Beltrami equation with degeneration. We study the case when the complex characteristic of the equations satisfies the constraints of integral type. In this case, we have proved a theorem on the compactness of the class of homeomorphic solutions of the Beltrami equation, which satisfy the hydrodynamic normalization condition at infinity. Another important result is the compactness theorem for the class of open discrete solutions of the Dirichlet problem for the Beltrami equations in the Jordan domain, the imaginary part of which vanishes at some predetermined inner point. Landslide susceptibility analysis can provide theoretical support for landslide risk management. However, some susceptibility analyses are not sufficiently interpretable. Moreover, the accuracy of many research methods needs to be improved. Therefore, this study can supplement these deficiencies. This study aims to research the evaluation effects of random forest (RF) and extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) classifier models on landslide susceptibility, and to compare their applicability in Fengjie County, Chongqing, a typical landslide‐prone area in southwest of China. Firstly, 1624 landslides information from 1980 to 2020 were obtained through field investigation, and a geospatial database of 16 conditional factors had been constructed. Secondly, non‐landslide points were selected to form a complete data set and RF and XGBoost models were established. Finally, the area under the ROC curve (AUC) value, accuracy, and F‐score were used to compare the two models. The results show that even though both classifiers have a highly accurate evaluation of landslide susceptibility, the RF model performs better. In comparison, the RF model has a higher AUC value of 0.866, and its accuracy and F‐score are approximately 2% higher than XGBoost. The land use, elevation, and lithology of Fengjie County contribute to the occurrence of landslides. This is due to human engineering activities (such as land reclamation, and housing construction) resulting in low slope stability and landslides in widely distributed sandstone, siltstone, and mudstone layers owing to their low permeability and planes of weakness. Lately, the foundations of a complete geometry of the quadrilateral were laid, built in analogy of the classical geometry of the triangle. Several articles were devoted to it, the PhD-dissertation work of one of the authors of this article (Stefanov 2020), and a book encompassing it in its entirety is soon to be published. This publication aims to convince the readers in the benefits of studying this geometry. During the last years the rubrics „Contest problems“ and „Problems М+“ of the journals „Mathematics and Informatics“ and „Mathematics Plus“ included difficult problems, whose solutions are complex for somebody who doesn‘t know and doesn‘t use elements of the quadrilateral’s geometry. Knowing the properties of the remarkable points, lines and circles, as well as the mappings in the quadrilateral, which are subjects of its geometry, not only provides ideas for solving this problem, but also serves for their implementation (to carry out the solution). A wide range of new research articles in artificial intelligence, logic programming, and other applied sciences are based on fixed-point theorems. The aim of this article is to present an approximation method for finding the fixed point of generalized Suzuki nonexpansive mappings on hyperbolic spaces. Strong and Δ -convergence theorems are proved using the Noor iterative process for generalized Suzuki nonexpansive mappings (GSNM) on uniform convex hyperbolic spaces. Due to the richness of uniform convex hyperbolic spaces, the results of this paper can be used as an extension and generalization of many famous results in Banach spaces together with C A T (0) spaces. The mapping of categorical variables into numerical values is common in machine learning classification problems. This type of mapping is frequently performed in a relatively arbitrary manner. We present a series of four assumptions (tested numerically) regarding these mappings in the context of protein classification using amino acid information. This assumption involves the mapping of categorical variables into protein classification problems without the need to use approaches such as natural language process (NLP). The first three assumptions relate to equivalent mappings, and the fourth involves a comparable mapping using a proposed eigenvalue-based matrix representation of the amino acid chain. These assumptions were tested across a range of 23 different machine learning algorithms. It is shown that the numerical simulations are consistent with the presented assumptions, such as translation and permutations, and that the eigenvalue approach generates classifications that are statistically not different from the base case or that have higher mean values while at the same time providing some advantages such as having a fixed predetermined dimensions regardless of the size of the analyzed protein. This approach generated an accuracy of 83.25%. An optimization algorithm is also presented that selects an appropriate number of neurons in an artificial neural network applied to the above-mentioned protein classification problem, achieving an accuracy of 85.02%. People use space (e.g., left-right, up-down) to think about a variety of nonspatial concepts like time, number, similarity, and emotional valence. These spatial metaphors can be used to inform the design of user interfaces, which visualize many of these concepts in space. Traditionally, researchers have relied on patterns in language to discover habits of metaphorical thinking. However, advances in cognitive science have revealed that many spatial metaphors remain unspoken, shaping people's preferences, memories, and actions independent of language - and even in contradiction to language. Here we argue that cognitive science can impact our everyday lives by informing the design of physical and digital objects via the spatial metaphors in people's minds. We propose a simple principle for predicting which spatial metaphors organize people's non-spatial concepts based on the structure of their linguistic, cultural, and bodily experiences. In this paper, we have defined some notions of Hausdorff (T2) separation on supra fuzzy bitopological spaces in the sense of quasi-coincidence. We have found the relations among the notions. We have shown that these notions satisfy good extension, hereditary, productive and projective properties. We have also shown that Hausdorff supra fuzzy bitopological space is preserved under one-one, onto fuzzy pairwise open and continuous mappings. From a cognitive linguistics perspective, the present study is aimed at the analysis of manifestations of metaphorical mental conceptualizations of flooding events in terms of war in the language used by the British and the Bulgarian journalists and the extent to which the implementation of the cognitive metaphor FLOODING CRISIS IS WAR differs in the media representations of the two countries. The corpus used for the research consists of 19 articles extracted from the electronic databases of four newspapers - two for the British discourse (the Guardian and the Independent) and two for the Bulgarian discourse (Monitor and Standart). A total of 33 example sentences have been extracted from the corpus (21 from the British media and 12 from the Bulgarian media) and they have been coded with respect to the mappings between the source and target domain of the cognitive metaphor. The results of the research show that the media both in the UK and Bulgaria rely on metaphorical projection from the domain of war when flooding crises are reported, which confirms the notion that metaphorical projection is a universal structural element of cognition. In this article, we study mappings acting between domains of two factor spaces by certain groups of Möbius automorphisms of the unit ball that act discontinuously and do not have fixed points. For such mappings, we have established estimates for the distortion of the modulus of families of paths, which are similar to the well-known Poletsky and Väisälä inequalities. Numbers are mapped onto space from birth on, as evidenced by a variety of interactions between the processing of numerical and spatial information. In particular, larger numbers are associated to larger spatial extents (number/spatial extent mapping) and to rightward spatial locations (number/location mapping), and smaller numbers are associated to smaller spatial extents and leftward spatial locations. These two main types of number/space mappings (number/spatial extent and number/location mappings) are usually assumed to reflect the fact that numbers are represented on an internal continuum: the mental number line. However, to date there is very little evidence that these two mappings actually reflect a single representational object. Across two experiments in adults, we investigated the interaction between number/location and number/spatial extent congruency effects, both when numbers were presented in a non-symbolic and in a symbolic format. We observed a significant interaction between the two mappings, but only in the context of an implicit numerical task. The results were unaffected by the format of presentation of numbers. We conclude that the number/location and the number/spatial extent mappings can stem from the activation of a single representational object, but only in specific experimental contexts. This paper proposes a reflection on the argumentative effects of metaphor, from the overall perspective of Cognitive Linguistics. The focus is on the way in which a given cognitive-discursive orientation can be approached in this area of ​​study, which contemplates the interweaving between the cognitive and discursive dimensions of metaphorical language. To explore this goal, we have analyzed a corpus formed by internet memes and metaphor niches about teaching and education, in which figurative language is characterized by situated metaphors, intertwined with frames and conceptual metaphors. The analysis seeks to identify the elements of the online dimension of cognition (vehicles and situated metaphors) and those of the off-fline dimension: conceptual metaphors and underlying frames. The results seem to corroborate the hypothesis that the cognitive-discursive thread woven by the articulation between stable and unstable instances of cognition conducts, with clear rhetorical force, a certain way of looking at the target domain, according to the intended point-of-view

Clustering is widely used as a knowledge discovery method in scientific studies but is not often used in architectural research. This paper applies clustering to a dataset of 129 residential layouts, which were collected from contemporary architectural practices, to reveal underlying design patterns. To achieve this, this paper introduces a novel measure for the topological properties of layouts: 'grating difference measure'. It was benchmarked against an alternative that measures geometrical properties and the advantages are explained. The grating difference measure indicates the extent of design differences, which is used in the clustering method to obtain the distance between datapoints. The results from clustering were grouped into design schematics and qualitatively assessed, showing a convincing separation of characteristics. The method demonstrated in this paper may be used to reveal topological patterns in datasets of existing designs for both academic and practical purposes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We introduce two types of mappings that preserve nonnull helices in Minkowski spaces. The first type constructs helices in the n -dimensional Minkowski space from helices in the same Minkowski space. The second type constructs helices in the (n + 1) -dimensional Minkowski space from helices in the n -dimensional Minkowski space. The mapping from BIBFRAME 2.0 to Resource Description and Access (RDA) is studied focusing on core entities, inherent relationships, and derivative relationships. The proposed mapping rules are evaluated with two gold datasets. Findings indicate that 1) core entities, inherent and derivative relationships may be mapped to RDA, 2) the use of the bf:hasExpression property may cluster bf:Works with the same ideational content and enable their mapping to RDA Works with their Expressions, and 3) cataloging policies have a significant impact on the interoperability between RDA and BIBFRAME datasets. This paper introduces three notions of fuzzy pairwise regular between bitopologieai spaces in quasi-coincidence sense. Then, we investigate some relations between ours and other counterparts. We observe that all these concepts are preserved under onc-one, onto, fuzzy closed, fuzzy open, and fuzzy continuous mappings. Also the hereditary property is satisfied by these concepts. Singularities of plane into plane mappings described by parabolic two-component systems of quasi-linear partial differential equations of the first order are studied. Impediments arising in the application of the original Whitney's approach to such a case are discussed. Hierarchy of singularities is analyzed by the double-scaling expansion method for the simplest 2 -component Jordan system. It is shown that flex is the lowest singularity while higher singularities are given by (k + 1 , k + 2) curves which are of cusp type for k = 2 n + 1 , n = 1 , 2 , 3 , .... Regularization of these singularities by deformation of plane into plane mappings into surface S 2 + k (⊂ ℝ 2 + k) to plane is discussed. Applicability of the proposed approach to other parabolic type mappings is noted. We finally compare the results obtained for the parabolic case with non-generic gradient catastrophes for hyperbolic systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Information Technology paved the way for the creation of written texts. Along with it, modern journalism has replaced traditional journalism providing new opportunities for all sources of media to connect with their readers. This has come as no surprise since, nowadays' society bases so much on writing and image. Objectivity and relevance are key elements when it comes to journalistic writing; still, unexpected events like the Covid-19 pandemic, bring forth credible stories which, even though presented from unbiased perspectives, are loaded with expressive emotions such as anger, fear, sadness, sacrifice, fight, shame, etc. They are typical responses brought on by someone's feeling stressed, depressed, irritated, frustrated, frightened, threatened by the virus. Thus, the reader is plunged into the depths of reality being guided by conceptual metaphors, which build the meaning by integrating the structure that give rise to more than the sum of its parts. Human imagination, as cognitive metaphor theorists (George Lakoff, Lakoff and Johnson, 1980; Mark Turner, 1989; Ray Gibbs, 1994; Fauconnier, 1997, et al.) claim, plays a crucial role in cognitive processes and in what it is to be human. Metaphors not only infiltrate within the language people use to express their emotions but also engage in the process of understanding the way in which emotional experience is being conceptualised. The focus of the present research is to study the conceptual metaphors that emerge from the three articles, which cover the social and emotional effects of the 2020 pandemic on BBC Future. The study's endeavour is to understand the semantic markers, which project the image of the pandemic and people's reaction when facing the military measures of social distancing, lockdown, economic redirection, as well as psychological aspects of past and future "normalcy". The paper is devoted to maps on metric spaces whose quasiconformal characteristic satisfies certain restrictions of integral type. First of all, we prove that the so-called ring Q-mappings have a continuous extension to an isolated boundary point if the function has a finite mean oscillation at the point.
