The study area ranges from 13.8 ° to 18.3 ° south latitude of the Peruvian territory, mainly covering Tacna, Moquegua, Arequipa and part of Ayacucho, Apurímac and Puno regions. Geomorphologically it mainly covers the Western Cordillera and part of the Altiplano. Based on satellite images, regional geology information and hot springs distribution, eleven (11) calderic structures of various dimensions were determined. The geometry of the structures in some cases is determined thanks to geomorphological patterns of the volcanic environment. It was determined that in the study area, there is a wide distribution of recent lava and pyroclastic rocks, which mask the calderic structures and, on the other hand, it hides various geothermal systems. In some cases, there are geothermal manifestations on the surface, which have emerged through recent faults. The geothermal manifestations distribution coincides in many cases with the edges of the calderic structures and is controlled by structural systems, geological contacts, which intersect with the edges of said calderas. Therefore, it is concluded that in southern Peru there is a promising potential for geothermal resources, in some cases with visible surface manifestations and others hidden by recent volcanic materials., El área de estudio comprende desde los 13.8 ° hasta los 18.3 ° de latitud sur del territorio peruano, abarca principalmente las regiones de Tacna, Moquegua, Arequipa y parte de Ayacucho, Apurímac y Puno. Geomorfológicamente abarca principalmente la cordillera Occidental y parte del Altiplano. Con base en imágenes satelitales, información de geología regional y distribución de fuentes termales se determinó once (11) estructuras caldéricas de diversas dimensiones. La geometría de las estructuras en algunos casos se determina gracias a patrones geomorfológicos de ambiente volcánico. Se determinó que en la zona de estudio, existe una amplia distribución de lavas y rocas piroclásticas recientes, las cuales enmascaran las estructuras caldéricas y por otro lado deja oculto diversos sistemas geotermales. En algunos casos se presenta manifestaciones geotermales en superficie, las cuales han salido mediante fallas recientes. La distribución de manifestaciones geotermales coincide en muchos casos con los bordes de las estructuras caldéricas y también está controlada por sistemas estructurales, contactos geológicos, los cuales se intersectan con bordes de referidas calderas. Por lo tanto, se concluye que en el sur del Perú existe un promisorio potencial de recursos geotérmicos, en algunos casos con manifestaciones visibles en superficie y otros ocultos por materiales volcánicos recientes.

The Pripyat Trough, representing the northwestern end of the Pripyat-Dnieper-Donetsk Basin, is located in the junction zone of the Precambrian terrains of Fennoscandia and Sarmatia, controlled by the Osnitsk-Mikashevichy Igneous Belt. The ancient tectonic suture was reactivated during subsequent episodes of Meso-Neoproterozoic and Devonian rifting. The lithosphere structure of the Pripyat Trough is generalized according to published geophysical data and new interpretation of the velocity-density model of the lithosphere structure on Eurobridge-97 profile is given. The structure of the lithosphere at the southern flank of the Pripyat Trough and the Korosten pluton, consisting of rapakivi granites — gabbro-anorthosites, is associated with the existence of a mantle magma chamber, inflow of mantle melts into the crust, partial melting, magmatic differentiation and transformation of the substance throughout the crust under the pluton. Within the Pripyat Trough, a special role belongs to the South Pripyat fault, which limits the Pripyat Trough from the south, and the Korosten pluton from the north, and is associated with an inclined seismic boundary (reflector) in the mantle. The South Pripyat fault, being a deep fault zone, controlled the intrusion of magmatic melts and mantle fluids throughout its evolution. At present it controls seismicity and, obviously, is a conduit for hydrocarbons and a mantle degassing channel. Significant features of the structure and evolution of Pripyat Trough are: (I) origination in an ancient zone of weakness that undergone repeated tectonic and magmatic activations, (II) position at the intersection of four major zones of heterogeneity: Osnitsk-Mikashevichy Igneous Belt of NE strike, N-S-trending Odessa—Gomel zone, W-E-oriented Brest—Pripyat, and the Dnieper—Donets Basin of the NW orientation, (III) the spatial relationship of the limiting listric faults with mantle heterogeneities; (IV) recent activation and confinement of hydrocarbon deposits to it. These criteria make it possible to consider the Pripyat Trough as a possible channel of mantle degassing., Припятский прогиб, представляющий собой северо-западное завершение Припятско-Днепровско-Донецкой впадины, находится в зоне сочленения докембрийских террейнов Фенноскандии и Сарматии, которая контролируется Осницко-Микашевичским вулканоплутоническим поясом. Древний тектонический шов подвергался реактивации во время последующих эпизодов рифтогенеза мезо-неопротерозойского и девонского возраста. Обобщено строение литосферы Припятского прогиба по опубликованным геофизическим данным и дана новая интерпретация скоростно-плотностной модели строения литосферы по профилю Eurobridge-97. Строение литосферы в районе южного борта Припятского прогиба и Коростенского плутона, состоящего из гранитов рапакиви — габбро-анортозитов, связано с существованием мантийной магматической камеры, поступлением мантийных расплавов в кору, частичным плавлением, магматической дифференциацией и преобразованием вещества всей коры под плутоном. В пределах Припятского прогиба особая роль принадлежит Южно-Припятскому разлому, ограничивающему прогиб с юга, а Коростенский плутон — с севера и связанному с наклонной сейсмической границей (рефлектором) в мантии. Южно-Припятский разлом, будучи разломной зоной глубинного заложения, контролировал внедрение магматических расплавов и мантийных флюидов на протяжении всей своей эволюции. В настоящее время он контролирует сейсмичность и, очевидно, является подводящим каналом для углеводородов и каналом мантийной дегазации. Знаковые свойства строения и эволюции Припятского прогиба следующие: (I) заложение в древней ослабленной зоне, претерпевшей неоднократные тектономагматические активизации; (II) положение на пересечении четырех крупных зон неоднородностей (Осницко-Микашевичского вулканоплутонического пояса северо-восточного простирания, меридиональной зоны Одесса—Гомель, широтной зоны Брест—Припять и Днепровско—Донецкой впадины северо-западного направления); (III) пространственная связь ограничивающих прогиб листрических сбросов с мантийными неоднородностями; (IV) современная активизация и приуроченность к прогибу месторождений углеводородов. Перечисленные критерии позволяют рассматривать Припятский прогиб как возможный канал мантийной дегазации., Прип’ятський прогин, який є північно-західним завершенням Прип’ятсько-Дніпровсько-Донецької западини, знаходиться в зоні зчленування докембрійських терейнів Фенноскандії і Сарматії, що контролюється Осницько-Мікашевицьким вулканоплутонічним поясом. Будова літосфери в районі південного борту Прип’ятського прогину і Коростенського плутону, що складається з гранітів рапаківі—габро-анортозитів, пов’язана з існуванням мантійної магматичної камери, надходженням мантійних розплавів у кору, частковим плавленням, магматичною диференціацією і переробкою речовини всієї кори під плутоном. У межах Прип’ятського прогину особлива роль належить Південноприп’ятському розлому, що обмежує прогин з півдня, а Коростенський плутон — з півночі і пов’язаний з похилою сейсмічною межею (рефлектором) у мантії. Південноприп’ятський розлом є зоною глибинного закладення, що контролює проникнення магматичних розплавів і мантійних флюїдів протягом усієї своєї еволюції. На даний час він контролює сейсмічність і, очевидно, є каналом мантійной дегазації та шляхом міграції вуглеводнів. Знакові властивості будови та еволюції Прип’ятського прогину такі: (I) закладення у давній ослабленій зоні, що зазнала неодноразової тектономагматичної активізації; (II) локалізація на перетині чотирьох великих зон неоднорідностей (Осницько-Мікашевицького вулканоплутонічного поясу північно-східного простягання, меридіональної зони Одеса—Гомель, широтної зони Брест—Прип’ять і Дніпровсько-Донецької западини північно-західного напрямку), (III) просторовий зв’язок обмежуючих його лістричних скидів з мантійними неоднорідностями; (IV) сучасна активізація і приуроченість до прогину родовищ вуглеводнів. Зазначені критерії дають змогу розглядати Прип’ятський прогин як можливий канал мантійной дегазації.

При помощи математического моделирования рассматривается ситуация, когда в кровле магматического очага, расположенного глубоко под конусом вулкана, мгновенно возникает трещина, давление в которой первоначально близко нулю. При падении давления в магматической камере вероятен «взрывной» рост пузырьков в магме за фронтом волны разгрузки и соответствующее увеличение объема магматического расплава. Melt phase influence on seismic properties in partially molten systems, here at magmatic chambers of mid-oceanic-ridge and at hotspots, is poorly constrained. This study brings new seismological observations of seismic anisotropy beneath French Polynesia and Galápagos archipelago. Measurements of shear-wave splitting and P waves polarization beneath French Polynesia show the involvement of two contributions: asthenospheric and lithospheric. The presence of melt in the upper mantle beneath the center of the Galápagos archipelago may result in the absence of anisotropy. We measure Q-1 of multiple ScS waves and the results confirm the existence of a higher attenuation zone beneath French Polynesian region than in the remainder of the South Pacific. Moreover, torsion oscillatory deformation experiments have been realized at high temperatures (600-1170°C) and at seismic frequencies in partially molten gabbronorites. Above the melting temperature, attenuation increases significantly with a stronger dependence to frequency. It is shown that the melt-related attenuation mechanism could be melt squirt flow. The dissipation mechanism due to melt squirt flow between grain boundaries may be superimposed on an attenuation mechanism associated with diffusion controlled grain boundary sliding. In addition, new viscosity measurements of two basaltic silicates and one andesitic silicate were realized. The temperature dependence of the viscosity is determined through the configurational entropy theory of relaxation process.; L'influence de la présence de liquide sur les propriétés sismiques des systèmes partiellement fondus, ici les chambres magmatiques des dorsales océaniques et les panaches mantelliques, est mal contrainte. Cette étude apporte de nouvelles observations sismologiques sur l'anisotropie sismique sous la Polynésie française et les Galápagos. Les mesures du déphasage des ondes SKS et l'analyse de la polarisation des ondes P en Polynésie française montrent la participation de deux contributions: asthénosphérique et lithosphérique. La présence de liquide dans le manteau supérieur sous l'archipel des Galápagos pourrait se traduire par une absence d'anisotropie au centre de l'archipel. Les mesures d'atténuation des ondes ScS multiples confirment l'existence d'une zone plus atténuée au niveau de la Polynésie française que dans le reste du Pacifique sud. En outre, des mesures d'atténuation ont été réalisées dans des gabbronorites partiellement fondues aux fréquences sismiques, entre 500 et 1200°C. Au-dessus de la température de fusion, l'atténuation augmente significativement avec une dépendance plus forte à la fréquence. Il est montré que le mécanisme d'atténuation associé à l'écoulement localisé de liquide pourrait se superposer à un mécanisme d'atténuation associé à une diffusion au niveau des joints de grains. D'autre part, de nouvelles mesures expérimentales de la viscosité de deux silicates basaltiques et d'un silicate andésitique ont été effectuées. Des lois expérimentales de fluage décrivant les variations de viscosité dans une large gamme de températures sont proposées, ainsi que les paramètres thermodynamiques des échantillons analysés.
