In this paper, we propose a control process for a service robot that runs errands for personal belongings using technology elements for Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). Initially, it classifies each space on a grid map mapped based on the indoor environment using Generalized Voronoi Graph (GVG) and registers the location of objects in each classified space, forming a topological map. Subsequently, it utilizes Google’s Speech To Text (STT) to identify voice commands, and integrates this information with the object details on the topological map to automatically generate feasible destinations for the robot based on the estimated location of the object. In an experiment involving instructing the robot with three voice commands for five types of personal belongings located within a simulated household environment, the system achieved a success rate of over 90% in accomplishing errands to the specified locations.
