Level density parameters of 208Pb and 91Zr in equilibrium states have been calculated with a new fugacity approximation namely a thermal wavelength approximation. In this approximation, the fugacity is directly proportional to the nucleon density. In contrast with the constant fugacity, the thermal wavelength approximation gives a simpler way to calculate the nuclei constant radius and the density profile. The calculated 208Pb nuclear density is about 0.17 (fm-3) in which the discrepancy is 0.1% higher than the experimental one. The level density parameters are 14% higher than the experimental results due to neglecting of the shell correction.

Abstract: Evaporation Residue (ER) gated gamma-multiplicity was measured for the reaction 30Si+ 170Er which formed the compound nucleus (CN) 200Pb. The measured multiplicity distribution was compared with those of two other reactions, viz, 16O+ 184W and 19F+ 181Ta forming the same CN. Further, experimental results were compared with statistical model calculations. Both comparisons indicate an absence of higher spins in ERs for 30Si+ 170Er compared to the other two more asymmetric reactions. This lowering of spin value is attributed to non-compound fission. Abstract: In this study we have investigated the symmetry properties and R 4/2 energy ratio of energy bands for superdeformed light even–even nuclei from Z=10 to 30 by the use of a simple and valid analytical relation obtained in terms of a K-quantum number, which is the projection of the total angular momentum on the axis of symmetry of a nucleus. Moreover, the nuclear level density parameters of the nuclei of interest have been calculated by considering different excitation bands of the observed nuclear spectra. The method used assumes equidistant spacing of the collective coupled state bands of the nuclei considered. The values of the calculated nuclear level density parameters and R 4/2 energy ratio have been compared with those of the experimental and compiled values and are in quite good agreement with the experimental and compiled results. The main aim of this study is to develop accurate artificial neural network (ANN) algorithms to estimate level density parameters. An efficient Bayesian-based algorithm is presented for classification algorithms. Unknown model parameters are estimated using the observed data, from which the Bayesian-based algorithm is predicted. This paper focuses on the Bayesian method for parameter estimations of Gilbert Cameron Model (GCM), Back Shifted Fermi Gas Model (BSFGM) and Generalised Super Fluid Model (GSM), which are known as the phonemological level density models. Obtained level density parameters have been compared with the Reference Input Parameter Library for Calculation of Nuclear Reactions and Nuclear Data Evaluations (RIPL) data. R values of the Bayesian method have been found as 0.9946, 0.9981 and 0.9824 for BSFGM, GCM and GSM, respectively. In order to validate our results, default level density parameters of TALYS 1.95 code have been changed with our newly obtained results and photo-neutron cross-section calculations of the 117Sn(γ , n) 116Sn, 118Sn(γ , n) 117Sn, 119Sn(γ , n) 118Sn and 120Sn(γ , n) 119Sn reactions have been calculated by using these newly obtained level density parameters. • Accurate artificial neural network (ANN) algorithms have been developed to estimate level density parameters. • Bayesian-based algorithm is presented for classification algorithms. • Reaction cross-section calculations of 117-120Sn(γ , n) have been done by using newly obtained level density parameters.
