The Vitex trifolia complex in the Philippines comprises economically important medicinal species, but its taxonomic status has become ambiguous due to numerous historical nomenclatural revisions. We assembled the complete chloroplast genomes of five species belonging to this species complex to provide additional evidence for their species delimitation. Based on a detailed analysis of specimens which combined molecular and morphological data, we propose reinstating V. elmeri Moldenke and delineating V. arvensis Gentallan, Sengun & M.B.Bartolome as a new endemic species belonging to this complex. The new species is a putative hybrid between V. bicolor Willd. and V. elmeri Moldenke. The specific epithet arvensis reflects its predominantly cultivated nature, both on a commercial scale and in home gardens, as a valued medicinal plant. Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) is an aromatic plant used in foods, pharmaceuticals, and in cosmetics. In this study, the morphology and yield of 17 different basil genotypes and three cultivars (Moonlight, Midnight, and Dino) from Türkiye were analyzed in 2019 and 2020. A wide range of variations in plant height, number of branches, and weights of fresh and dry herbs weights were observed. The genotypes PI 531,396 from Hungary, PI 174,284 from Türkiye, PI 253,157 from Iran, and the Dino cultivar had the highest plant yield compared with the other genotypes and cultivars. The leaf color parameters (L*, a*, b* C*, H° and WI) were also determined for the plants. The highest lightness (L*) values were recorded in the PI 190,100 genotype, and the highest yellowness/blueness (b*) and hue angle (H°) values were recorded in the PI 207,498 genotype. The highest redness/greenness (a*), chroma (C*), and whiteness index (WI) values were recorded in the PI 197,442, PI 190,100, and PI 531,396 genotypes, respectively. Except for the L* values, the leaf color parameters clustered on the same side of the principal component analysis (PCA) axis. Dendrogram analysis divided the genotypes and cultivars into two main groups, and the main A group contained the cultivar Dino only. Summary: A revision of Clinopodium L. s.l., including species of Acinos Mill., Calamintha Mill. and Micromeria Benth. sect. Mentha × villosa is a perennial, aromatic herb that is commonly cultivated as a medicinal plant in the Philippines with verified medicinal properties. Using Illumina sequencing data, we assembled and annotated the complete chloroplast genome of an accession of M. × villosa (ICROPS 2020053) from the germplasm collection of the Institute of Crop Science, University of the Philippines Los Baños Laguna. Morphological characterization was done to ensure that the observed traits fall within the taxonomic description of the species and agree with the reference specimen conserved in the genebank and preserved in the herbarium. The complete cp genome is 152,048 bp long which exhibits a quadripartite circular structure and is characterized by a large single-copy of 83,179 bp, short single-copy of 17,653 bp, and a pair of inverted repeat regions of 25,068 bp each. The overall GC content of the chloroplast genome was 37.8%. The plastome is comprised of 130 genes coding for 37 tRNA, 8 rRNA and 84 mRNA. Phylogenetic analysis showed that M. × villosa is closely related to M. × piperita and M. spicata. This information further supports the conserved nature of chloroplast genomes despite historical natural interspecific hybridization. The assembled complete chloroplast genome of M. × villosa is valuable in elucidating phylogenetic relationships among Mentha species in the Philippines. These observed traits could be used as markers to identify M. × villosa, the medicinal species used by the Philippine herbal industry, which is often confused with other Mentha species. Recently, numerous side effects of synthetic drugs have led to using medicinal plants as a reliable source of new therapy. Pain is a global public health problem with a high impact on life quality and a huge economic implication, becoming one of the most important enemies in modern medicine. The medicinal use of plants as analgesic or antinociceptive drugs in traditional therapy is estimated to be about 80% of the world population. The lamiaceae family, one of the most important herbal families, incorporates a wide variety of plants with biological and medical applications. In this study, the main active compounds of Thymus vulgaris (thymol (51.59%), p-cymene (15.41%), carvacrol (4.52%) and γ-terpinene (12.63%), Salvia officinalis; cis-thujone (38.05%), camphor (16.08%), 1,8-cineole (11.97%), trans-thujone (5.88%), camphene (4.79%), α -pinene (4.69%) and carvacrol (50.68%), γ-terpinene (34.44%) and α-terpinene (3.72%) in Satureja hortensis was determined. The highest EO contents (w/w %) was obtained in the plants of summer savory (2.05%), followed by the garden thyme (1.83%) and common sage (0.55%). It is necessary to identify the most effective compounds in order to extract or synthesise in pure form for future use in the pharmaceutical industry. Based on the development needs of leisure agriculture in Beijing, this study introduced six kinds of nectar plants of Labiatae, combined with the observation of ornamental period, growth situation and flower visiting insects, in order to screen out nectar plants species suitable for promotion and planting in the field of leisure agriculture in Beijing. The results showed that Schizonepeta tenuifolia and Origanum nitidissima were the best, which could provide longer flowering period as nectar-derived supporting plants, and were the most ideal in attracting the total number and diversity of visiting insects. And those two species plants could provide better support for natural observation, popular science research and other needs. Se describe e ilustra una especie nueva de Salvia de la Cordillera Oriental de Colombia que tiene flores resupinadas, un raro atributo en este género. Se discute la circunscripción y composición de Salvia sección Tubiflorae a la cual se adscribe la nueva especie. Se propone la inclusión de la pequeña sección Killipiana (con dos especies de Colombia) dentro de la sección Tubiflorae. Se presenta una breve sinopsis de la sección Tubiflorae ampliada, que agrupa a 18 taxones (15 especies y tres subespecies) distribuidos desde México hasta Brasil (incluídas Las Antillas).

Summary: A new species of Lamiaceae, Marsypianthes dunensis, from the restingas of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest is described and illustrated. The new species is compared to M. foliolosa and M. chamaedrys, the most polymorphic and widely distributed species of the genus. Hyptis albolanata is here described and illustrated. This new species is morphologically similar to Hyptis tetragona due to having ovate to elliptic leaves and a pedunculate capitula, differing mainly in the indumentum, leaf base, and calyx morphology. We provide a full description, a line drawing, and photographs of Hyptis albolanata, as well as a distribution map, a preliminary conservation status assessment, comments on the species ecology and comparison with morphologically similar taxa. Amazonia, despite being famous as the most prominent tropical forest, is currently suffering high rates of degradation, with recurrent fires and deforestation, which could shortly lead it to be classified as a biodiversity hotspot for conservation. Although the known flora of the domain displays exceptional richness, its diversity is far from being well known, with several new species being described each year and lots of areas still poorly collected. During the preparation of a revision of Hyptidendron (Lamiaceae, subtribe Hyptidinae), a small genus with 21 species, unidentified and unmatched specimens from the Amazonian domain were uncovered. Here we describe and illustrate these specimens as Hyptidendron dorothyanum sp. nov., named in honor of Sister Dorothy Stang, murdered for her support for the biodiversity of the Amazon and her defence of the rights of local people. The new species, currently known from just two gatherings from Amazonas and Pará States is compared with its most closely related species, Hyptidendron canum, H. arboreum, H. asperrimum and H. leucophyllum. We also provide a distribution map, a preliminary conservation assessment, as well as comments on the phenology and ecology of the new species. Five new triterpenoids, including four ursane types (1–4) and one oleanane type (5), together with 15 known ursane types pentacyclic triterpenoids (6–20) were isolated from the fruit spikes of Prunella vulgaris L., a traditional Chinese herbal medicine. Their structures were elucidated based on IR, HR-ESI-MS, and NMR spectroscopic data. The SW579 cell line was used to evaluate anti-thyroid cancer activities of (1–20). The results indicated that (7–9), (16), and (19) exhibited apparent inhibitory activity with IC50 values of 25.73–71.41 μM (cisplatin as positive control, IC50 14.49 ± 0.97 μM). Network pharmacology and molecular docking were also used for the prediction of the synergistic actions and the underlying mechanisms. Accordingly, four potential targets have been characterized. Se proporciona una descripción de la especie, así como los primeros datos sobre su ecología en Marruecos junto con su distribución geográfica y caracteres diagnósticos con la especie morfológicamente más cercana que comparte flores de color amarillo. También se proporcionan fotografías y una clave actualizada de las especies de Phlomis en Marruecos.

Menthinae, one of the five subtribes of Mentheae (Lamiaceae), with ca. 735 species, is represented in Brazil by a wide range of herbs and shrubs. During an investigation of the taxonomic history of the group for the Flora e Funga do Brasil project, several nomenclatural issues with typifications in the group have been identified. This study attempts to resolve them, making suggestions of new types and re-evaluation of synonyms. Thirteen lectotypifications and one neotypification are being proposed, along with the recognition of Thymus selloi Spreng. ex J.A.Schmidt as a nomen nudum. Most of the suggested changes are due to the loss of many of Sellow's types at B during WWII, lack of specific herbaria references and collector numbers in the protologues, or to existence of designated syntypes in the referred collections. Our study is a contribution to the nomenclatural and taxonomic knowledge of Menthinae, providing a stable foundation for future study of its taxonomy, biogeography, and evolution. A new furfural derivative, pogoscafuran A (1), a new natural product, HMF levulinate (2), together with four known compounds (3–6) were isolated from an extract of the leaves and stems of Pogostemon cablin (Blanco) Benth. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Compound 1 was the first example of natural furfural derivative with a unique C5–C1′ linkage between a molecule of furfural and 3-methyl-2-cyclopentenone moiety. The plausible biogenetic pathway for the new compound 1 was proposed. All these isolated compounds were tested for their inhibitory effects on the nitric oxide (NO) production induced by lipopolysaccharide in RAW264.7 cells, and only compound 1 exhibited weak inhibitory activity. Stachys bhattacharjeei (Lamiaceae), a new species from northeast Iraq, is described and illustrated here. It is endemic to Iraq. Hairiness, leaves, the arrangement of verticillasters, and calyx and corolla length have been used to distinguish Stachys species. The new species, belonging to section Fragilicaulis, is similar to S. graveolens but differs mainly by glabrous flowering stems, more flowered and many verticillasters, very short calyx teeth and white corolla. This paper also presents some taxonomic notes on S. graveolens, information about a suspected hybrid between S. graveolens and S. fragillima, a diagnostic key, and a species list of the genus Stachys in Iraq. Summary: Vitex comprises c. 250 species in a pantropical distribution, with 34 species recognised for Brazil. During fieldwork in remnants of the Atlantic Forest showing vegetation associated with inselbergs in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, a unique, unmatched unifoliolate species of Vitex was found. Based on herbaria consultation and literature review, we propose this as a new species, Vitex pomerana. The new species is unique in the genus due to the presence of unifoliolate leaves, a rare feature in the genus, together with brochidodromous venation of leaflets, dorsifixed anthers, shape and size of leaflets, and petiole and peduncle sizes. We compared the new species with V. gardneriana and V. snethlagiana, the only two other unifoliolate-leaved Vitex species occurring in Brazil. The new species is known from only a few individuals so far and is micro endemic to a biodiversity hotspot that suffers from habitat loss and degradation, and would likely be considered Endangered (EN), based on the criteria of the IUCN red list. This finding increases the number of angiosperm species endemic to the Atlantic Forest and inselbergs in the state of Espírito Santo and highlights the urgency of conserving this highly threatened vegetation. Background Salvia korolkowii (Lamiaceae) has been considered a species of highest conservation priority due to its narrow distribution and isolated taxonomic position. The species has been known from Uzbekistan and, questionably, Kyrgyzstan and treated as endemic to the Western Tian-Shan. Eleven previously undescribed abietane-type diterpenoids, named caryopincanoids A–K (1 – 11), together with five known compounds, were isolated from the EtOH extract of the aerial parts of Caryopteris incana (Thunb.) Miq. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of comprehensive spectroscopic data, NMR calculations, and ECD calculations. The inhibitory activities of all compounds against HIF-2α gene expression in 786-O cells were tested by luciferase assay. Compounds 7 , 9 , 15 , and 16 showed significant inhibitory effects with IC 50 values ranging from 12.73 to 23.80 μM. Two new species of Oocephalus (Ocimeae: Hyptidinae), O. griseus and O. campestris, from the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park (CVNP), in Goiás state, Brazil, are proposed. For each species, description and comments on distribution and taxonomy are provided. Also, a diagnostic key to all Oocephalus species occurring in the state of Goiás and Distrito Federal is provided, as well as a line drawing and illustrated photographs of the new species. ABSTRACT After a brief historical account of the genus, a new species, Marsypianthes tubulosa, from the Brazilian state of Tocantins is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to M. chamaedrys (Vahl) Kuntze, the most polymorphic species of the genus. It is distinguished from the other species of the genus by its habit and characters of the cyme, calyx and corolla. Comments on the taxonomy and distribution of the new species are provided, as well as a conservation assessment, distribution map, photographs and a black and white illustration.

A new prenylated 3-benzoxepin derivative, elsholtzioxin (1), together with fifteen known compounds (2–16) were isolated from the whole parts of Elsholtzia penduliflora. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of various spectroscopic techniques and chemical evidences. The antiviral activities of these compounds were evaluated in vitro. The new compound (1) exhibited potential anti-influenza virus activity against strain A/WSN/33/2009 (H1N1) with inhibition rate of 47.19%. Lamiophlomis rotata, the only species within the genus Lamiophlomis (family Labiatae), exhibits a broad geographical distribution in elevated highland areas in Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and possesses significant therapeutic properties. Numerous chemical compositions and putative phylogenetic affiliations of this species have been documented in prior research. Nevertheless, there is a scarcity of accessible publications regarding the genomic data of L. rotata, particularly its chloroplast genome. This dearth of knowledge hampers the comprehensive investigation of its phylogenetic placement within the Labiatae family. In this study, we present a comprehensive analysis of the plastid genome of L. rotata. The plastid genome has a length of 151,837 base pairs (bp) and a GC content of 38.5%. Within this genome, a total of 135 genes were identified, including 90 protein-coding genes, 37 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, and eight ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes. By employing phylogenetic analysis, the taxonomic position of L. rotata within the family Labiatae is elucidated, highlighting a close relationship between the genus Lamiophlomis and the genus Phlomis. Notably, extensive genetic variations were uncovered between L. rotata and other Phlomis species. Teucrium polium has been used to treat gastrointestinal disorders, inflammation, diabetes and rheumatism. This plant has beneficial therapeutic properties. In this research the changes in the composition of essential oils from the aerial parts of Teucrium polium were determined at different temperatures and times. The essential oil of air-dried samples was obtained by hydro distillation and analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Changes in essential oils compositions were detected during storage for 3 months in refrigerator, freezer, and at room temperature. The results indicated that at room temperature, the proportions of the compounds with lower boiling temperatures such as Cis-Verbenol (2.11-1.78%) and Germacrene D (1.56-0.94%) were decreased significantly. Furthermore, the essential oil composition showed the least alterations and Teucrium polium L. kept its primary quality when stored at low temperatures, particularly in refrigerator and freezer (Except: α-Pinene, β-Pinene and Limonene). ABSTRACT Marsypianthes is a Neotropical plant genus distributed from southern Mexico to northeastern Argentina. It is composed of six species - M. arenosa, M. burchellii, M. chamaedrys, M. foliolosa, M. hassleri, M. montana - with all occurring in Brazil except for M. arenosa, which occurs in Mexico. Marsypianthes burchellii, M. foliolosa and M. montana are endemic to Brazil, while M. hassleri also occurs in Argentina and Paraguay and M. chamaedrys is widely distributed from southern Mexico to Argentina. Species of Marsypianthes are found in all the biomes of Brazil - Amazonia, Caatinga, Cerrado, Atlantic Forest, Pampa and Pantanal. Goiás is the Brazilian state with the greatest species richness of Marsypianthes, with four of the five species that occur in the country. According to IUCN criteria, three of the species are classified as Least Concern, one as Data Deficient and one as Vulnerable. The present study provides descriptions, an identification key, illustrations, geographic distribution data and information on the conservation status for all the taxa of Marsypianthes in Brazil.

Eighteen aromatic abietane-type diterpenes, including three previously unreported compounds, Salkanoids A-C (1-3), were isolated from the roots of Salvia prattii. Their stuctures were extensively elucidated using 1D/2D NMR, high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HRESIMS) data, and ECD calculation. Among these, compounds 1, 6 and 7 belong to a class of diterpenes featuring a [5, 5]-oxaspirolactones moiety, a rare structure isolated from the Salvia plants. All the isolates were assessed for their protective effects against alcoholic liver disease using ethanol-induced AML-12 cell lines. Scutellaria is one of the largest genera in the Lamiaceae with an estimated 400–500 species with a nearly worldwide distribution. Most species occur in the N hemisphere, with the Caucasus and the wider Irano-Turanian region housing a large number of taxa, many of them considered endemic. We present an overall phylogeny of the monophyletic genus Scutellaria based on rapidly evolving plastid regions (matK-trnK, rpl16, trnL-F). Three well-supported clades are evident, which render the currently accepted S. subg. Scutellaria paraphyletic to S. subg. Apeltanthus, which appears nested in "clade A", in which the African S. schweinfurthii is sister to all remaining taxa, followed by other lineages of S. subg. Scutellaria. Ancestral states of 12 morphological characters frequently used as diagnostic from subgenus to species level were reconstructed with BayesTraits. The S. orientalis group appears as a major radiation in the Caucasus area and the Irano-Turanian region that may comprise up to a quarter of the species in the genus. This radiation corresponds to a monophyletically defined S. sect. Lupulinaria, characterized by decussate inflorescences and specialized (e.g. cucullate) bracts. Our phylogenetic data present significant resolution at the species level within the S. orientalis group, indicating complex geographically centred patterns of speciation in adaptation to steppe and high mountain habitats, including multiple evolution of pinnate and tomentose leaves. A new acenaphthylene derivative, salviarisanal (1), has been isolated from the aerial part of Salvia arisanensis, together with six known compounds, carnosol (2), 16-hydroxycarnosol (3), ferruginol (4), cryptotanshinone (5), salvileucantholide (6), and dugesin B (7). The structure of the new compound 1 was determined through spectroscopic and MS analyses. Among the isolates, cryptotanshinone (5) exhibited cytotoxicities with IC50 values of 5.38, 7.16, 4.84, and 9.10 μM, respectively, against DLD-1, CCRF-CEM, HL-60, and IMR-32 cell lines. 16-Hydroxycarnosol (3) also exhibited cytotoxicities with IC50 values of 7.42 and 6.73 μM, respectively, against DLD-1 and IMR-32 cell lines. In addition, salviarisanal (1), carnosol (2), 16-hydroxycarnosol (3), and ferruginol (4) showed potent inhibition with IC50 values of 18.45, 30.33, 27.58, and 35.05 μM, respectively, against LPS-induced NO generation. Hyptidinae, ca. 400 species, is an important component of Neotropical vegetation formations. Members of the subtribe possess flowers arranged in variously modified bracteolate cymes and nutlets with an expanded areole and all share a unique explosive mechanism of pollen release, except for Asterohyptis. In a recent phylogenetic study, the group had its generic delimitations rearranged with the recognition of 19 genera in the subtribe. Although the previous phylogenetic analysis covered almost all the higher taxa in the subtribe, it lacked a broader sampling at the species level. Here we present a new expanded phylogenetic analysis for the subtribe comprising 153 accessions of Hyptidinae sequenced for the nuclear nrITS, nrETS, and waxy regions and the plastid markers trnL-F, trnS-G, trnD-T, and matK. Our results widely support the previous phylogenetic results with some changes in the support and relationship between genera. It also uncovers the need for a new combination of Eriope machrisae in Hypenia and the phylogenetic position of Hyptis sect. Rhytidea, which was demonstrated to be part of Mesosphaerum. The generic delimitation in Hyptidinae is discussed, and we recommend that further studies with more markers are needed to confirm the monophyly of Hyptidendron and Mesosphaerum, as well as to support taxonomic changes on the infrageneric delimitation within Hyptis s. s. The chemical composition of essential oil, which is isolated by hydrodistillation of aerial parts of Thymus zygioides growing wild in Turkey, have been determined by GC and GC/MS. Essential oil yield on a dry weight basis of aerial parts from T. zygioides was 0.45%. A total of twenty two constituents were identified by GC-MS analyses, the main components representing 92.3% the oil was identified as limonene (24.11%), cis-linalool oxide (22.91%), eucalyptol (8.65%). 3-octonol (7.04%), nerol (4.47%) geranyl acetate (3.19%), carvacrol (2.74%), linalyl propanoate (2.95%) and sabinene (2.23%). The essential oil of T. zygioides was characterized by its high content of limonene (24.11%).

Se describen dos nuevos híbridos para el género Thymus L. (Lamiaceae); Th. ×josephi-angeli notho¬subsp. occultus, nothosubsp. nov., producto del cruzamiento natural entre Th. piperella L. y Th. vulgaris subsp. man¬sanetianus P.P. Ferrer & al., y Th. ×royoi, nothosp. nov., resultado del cruzamiento natural entre Th. vulgaris L. y Th. willkommii Ronniger. Además, se designa el lectotipo del nombre Thymus willkommii a partir de un espécimen conservado en el herbario BC. Two new hybrids for the genus Thymus L. (Lamiaceae) are described; Th. ×josephi-angeli nothosubsp. occultus, nothosubsp. nov., as a result of natural crossing between Th. piperella L. and Th. vulgaris subsp. mansanetianus P.P. Ferrer & al., and Th. ×royoi, nothosp. nov., coming from the natural crossing between Th. vulgaris L. and Th. willkommii Ronniger. In addition, a lectotype of the name Thymus willkommii is designated from a specimen preserved at BC herbarium.

Summary: Hyptis melittiflora Harley & J.F.B.Pastore sp. nov. which belongs to Hyptis sect. Eriosphaeria Benth., is described from the mountain range Chapada dos Veadeiros, Goiás state, Brazil. The area is notable for the large number of new species recorded from it in recent years. The species is described, illustrated and distinguished from other related species. A map of its distribution is provided, and its conservation status assessed. The new species is presented along with notes on section Eriosphaeria, and subsection Heterophyllae, in which it belongs. Salvia species is a member of the Lamiaceae family, and it also possesses medicinal and horticulture values. The genetic diversity was assessed through sequence-related amplified polymorphism. To uncover genetic diversity and species characteristics in Salvia species were studied through a combination of morphological and molecular data. One hundred forty-five individuals related to 30 Salvia were collected in 18 provinces. A total of 157 (Number of total loci) (NTL) DNA bands were produced through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) from 30 Salvia species. These bands were produced with the combinations of 10 selective primers. The total number of amplified fragments ranged from 10 to 20. The predicted unbiased heterozygosity (H) varied between 0.11 (Salvia urmiensis) and 0.31 (Salvia limbata). High Shannon’s information index was detected in Salvia limbata. The genetic similarities between 30 species are estimated from 0.46 to 0.91. Clustering results showed two major clusters. According to the SRAP (Sequence-related amplified polymorphism) markers analysis, Salvia hydrangea and Salvia sharifii had the lowest similarity. Salvia bracteata and Salvia suffruticosa were genetically dissimilar to each other. This study also detected a significant signature of isolation by distance. Present results showed that sequence-related amplified polymorphism has the potential to decipher genetic affinity between Salvia species. Current results have implications in biodiversity and conservation programs. Besides this, present results could pave the way for selecting suitable ecotypes for forage and pasture purposes in Iran.

Stachys glechomifolia (Lamiaceae), previously included under S. mardinensis as a synonym, is resurrected in this work based on extensive field and herbarium studies. In addition to its distribution in Turkey, S. mardinensis has firstly been recorded from Iran. Furthermore, the lectotypes of S. fragillima, S. graveolens, and S. kurdica var. brevidens are designated in this study. An expanded description and distribution map of S. glechomifolia, and some taxonomic notes on S. graveolens, S. fragillima, S. mardinensis, and S. nephrophylla are also reported. As a result of a critical study of the herbarium materials of the Lamiaceae family, literature and field observations in the Nizhnehopersky nature park and its immediate vicinity for the territory of Nizhny Khoper (Volgograd Region), an annotated check-list of cultivated species is provided, which includes 18 cultivated species and 3 hybrids from 14 genera. Taxonomic comments are given for a number of critical taxa. A number of them, such as Salvia sclarea L., Perilla frutescens var. crispa (Thunb.) H. Deane et all. were found feral outside the culture. Taxonomic comments are given for a number of critical taxa. Most species are grown on Lower Khopyor as ornamental plants, a number of species as food (usually spicy) and, less commonly, as medicinal. The annotated list of cultural species of the Lamiaceae family given in the article for the region is the first, not final, and suggests further study of the cultural flora ofLower Khopyor.

Se revisa la tipificación del nombre de Linneo Thymus pulegioides (Lamiaceae). Este nombre fue previamente “lectotipificado” por Mártonfi en 1997 a partir de un espécimen conservado en el herbario LINN (Herb. Linnaeus No. 38.6). Sin embargo, Linneo citó un espécimen de Sauvages en el protólogo, en la actualidad conservado en LINN (Herb. Linnaeus No. 38.5). Por lo tanto, en la designación del lectotipo debe elegirse este espécimen de acuerdo con el Código Internacional de Nomenclatura para algas, hongos y plantas (Art. 9.12 del Código de Shenzhen de 2018).

Resumo O presente trabalho é um levantamento florístico-taxonômico de Lamiaceae subfam. Nepetoideae para o estado da Paraíba, Brasil. O estudo baseou-se em excursões de campo para coleta de material fértil e na análise de espécimes depositados nos herbários da Paraíba e Pernambuco, com consultas ao SpeciesLink, Herbário Virtual da Flora e dos Fungos (Reflora). As determinações foram fundamentadas na literatura especializada, com exames críticos de tipos e protólogos. São apresentadas chaves para a identificação de gêneros e espécies, bem como descrições, ilustrações, comentários sobre afinidades taxonômicas, dados de distribuição geográfica, ambientes, floração e ou frutificação das espécies. Dezesseis espécies agrupadas em nove gêneros são aqui reconhecidas. Hyptis ramosa é um novo registro para a flora do estado da Paraíba.

Resumo Este estudo é um levantamento florístico da família Lamiaceae para o Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca. O Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca, inserido nos municípios de Bias Fortes, Lima Duarte e Santa Rita de Ibitipoca, no sudeste do estado de Minas Gerais, atualmente, é uma das Unidades de conservação mais visitadas do Brasil. Lamiaceae é uma das mais importantes famílias de Angiospermas, tanto economicamente quanto pela diversidade. Neste estudo foram encontrados 10 gêneros e 12 espécies: Aegiphila obducta, Cantinoa plectranthoides, Cyanocephalus rugosus, Eriope macrostachya, Hyptidendron asperrimum, Hyptis monticola, Mesosphaerum suaveolens, Rhabdocaulon coccineum, Salvia sellowiana, S. viscida, Vitex polygama e V. sellowiana. São apresentadas neste estudo, chave de identificação, descrição das espécies, ilustrações e comentários taxonômicos.
