The Master's thesis aims to comprehensively introduce the professional organization Syndicate of Journalists of the Czech Republic and describe its role in the Czech media environment. The Syndicate of Journalists is a voluntary professional association that participates in the application of journalistic ethics. It actively contributes to the protection of freedom of speech, expression, and dissemination of information and through its activities co- creates ethical principles and norms in domestic journalism. The Ethics Commission and especially the Code of Ethics play a key role and this thesis addresses them, among other topics. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis defines the framework of the topic, which is ethics and self-regulation in journalism. Key terms and principles of journalistic ethics are presented based on academic literature. A core part of the thesis follows and describes the history, current form, and principles of the Syndicate of Journalists of the Czech Republic. Purpose of Review Atrial fibrillation (AF), the most common sustained arrhythmia, is associated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Maintenance of stable sinus rhythm (SR) is the intended treatment target in symptomatic patients, and catheter ablation aimed at isolating the pulmonary veins provides the most effective treatment option, supported by encouraging clinical outcome data. A variety of energy sources and devices have been developed and evaluated. In this review, we summarize the current state of the art of catheter ablation of AF and describe future perspectives. Recent Findings Catheter ablation is a well-established treatment option for patients with symptomatic AF and is more successful at maintaining SR than antiarrhythmic drugs. Antral pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) as a stand-alone ablation strategy results in beneficial clinical outcomes and is therefore recommended as first-line strategy for both paroxysmal and persistent AF. While radiofrequency-based PVI in conjunction with a three-dimensional mapping system was for many years considered to be the “gold standard”, the cryoballoon has emerged as the most commonly used alternative AF ablation tool, especially in patients with paroxysmal AF. Patients with persistent or long-standing persistent AF and with arrhythmia recurrence after previous PVI may benefit from additional ablation strategies, such as substrate modification of various forms or left atrial appendage isolation. New technologies and techniques, such as identification of the AF sources and magnetic resonance imaging-guided substrate modification, are on the way to further improve the success rates of catheter ablation for selected patients and might help to further reduce arrhythmia recurrence. Conclusions Pulmonary vein isolation is the treatment of choice for symptomatic patients with paroxysmal and persistent drug-refractory AF. The reconnection of previously isolated pulmonary veins remains the major cause of AF recurrence. Novel ablation tools, such as balloon technologies or alternative energy sources, might help to overcome this limitation. Patients with non-paroxysmal AF and with AF recurrence might benefit from alternative ablation strategies. However, further studies are warranted to further improve our knowledge of the underlying mechanisms of AF and to obtain long-term clinical outcomes on new ablation techniques.

Die im vorliegenden Band publizierten Beiträge bieten unterschiedliche Zugänge und Sichtweisen des sprachlichen Handelns in den kleinen Kanzleien. Einige der Beiträge beschäftigen sich mit den Kanzleitexten, die in kleinen Kanzleien entstanden sind, aus der Perspektive der Textlinguistik, andere stellen sie als Kommunikationsformen vor und noch andere nehmen sich sprachlicher Besonderheiten und sprachlicher Gepflogenheiten an, die in den analysierten Texten aus den kleinen Kanzleien zu beobachten sind.

This article tries to offer a new perspective on parchment, mainly with regard to animals whose skins were, and sometimes still are, used to manufacture this writing material. A short outline of the manufacturing process serves as a basis and is complemented by a similarly short history of development and usage. Subsequently, some calculations, which should not be taken too seriously, may illustrate the huge number of animals that had to be slaughtered to produce enough parchment for all the codices in the older collections of our libraries. The second main topic is the animals who served as the main source for parchment during the German Middle Ages, namely sheep, goats and cattle. Therefore aspects of zooarchaeology and agricultural history are brought up here as well. Dieser Artikel unternimmt den Versuch, das Thema Pergament um einige Blickwinkel zu erweitern, die hauptsächlich die Tiere betreffen, aus deren Häuten dieser Beschreibstoff hergestellt wird bzw. wurde. Ein kurzer Abriss zum Herstellungsprozess dient dabei als Grundlage, die um eine ebenso knappe historische Entwicklungs- und Nutzungsgeschichte ergänzt wird. Anschließend werden einige nicht allzu ernst gemeinte quantitative Zahlenspielereien präsentiert, um die schiere Zahl der geschlachteten Tiere zu zeigen, die für die in den Altbeständen befindlichen Pergamentcodices notwendig gewesen sein müssten. Der zweite Hauptpunkt des Artikels ergänzt einige archäozoologische und agrarhistorische Aspekte zu den wichtigsten pergamentliefernden Tieren, also zu Schafen, Ziegen und Rindern, im deutschen Mittelalter.

Das Hauptanliegen meines Forschungsprojektes war die erneute Untersuchung der aus dem späten 3. bis 7. Jahrhundert n. Chr. stammenden griechischen medizinischen Papyri, die zwischen 1913 und 1914 hauptsächlich an einem Ort in der ägyptischen Stätte von Antinoopolis gefunden wurden. Antinoopolis bietet die Gelegenheit, diesen Dokumenten einen archäologischen Kontext zu geben, zumal die vorliegende geographische und chronologische Kontinuität einen detaillierten Vergleich der durch diese Quellen konservierten Daten begünstigt. Das Interesse an Antinoopolis aus medizinhistorischer Perspektive ist durch die diversen Heilpraktiken begründet, die von den dokumentarischen, literarischen und archäologischen Beweisstücken bezeugt werden, und deren Quantität und Bandbreite für ein ägyptisches Dorf außergewöhnlich sind. Das Ziel meiner Forschung an den Papyri ist sowohl philologischer als auch kulturhistorischer Natur. Erstens habe ich versucht, die Manuskripte wissenschaftlich zu präsentieren und ihre Eigentümlichkeiten, Charakteristika und Funktionen zu diskutieren. Ich wollte unser Verständnis dieser Fragmente durch die Identifizierung neuer Textabschnitte, die Integrierung von Textzusätzen und eine genauere Untersuchung ihrer formellen Struktur verbessern, was zu einer überarbeiteten Edition einiger ausgewählter Papyri führte. Darüber hinaus habe ich versucht, zum besseren Verständnis des allgemeinen Umfeldes dieser ägyptischen Gemeinschaft, besonders in Bezug auf religiöse Heilpraktiken im Zusammenhang mit der heiligen Stätte des Collouthus beizutragen, und die historischen und kulturellen Gegebenheiten zu untersuchen, in denen diese Texte genutzt wurden. Schlussendlich untersucht meine Forschung die Entwicklung des Kodex im Allgemeinen über den Zeitraum der späten Antike, die an verschiedenen Aspekten beobachtet werden kann. Eine der interessantesten Fragen dabei ist, wie die Texte gesammelt und präsentiert wurden, d.h. der Zusammenhang von Aufbewahrung der Papyri und ihrem Textinhalt. The main aim of my research project was to re-examine the Greek medical papyri from the Egyptian site of Antinoopolis dating between late 3rd up to 7th century AD, discovered mostly in a single area between 1913 and 1914. Antinoopolis offers the potential for putting documents into an archaeological context, and this geographical and chronological consistency facilitates a close comparison between the data preserved in these sources. The interest in Antinoopolis, as far as the medical tradition is concerned, lies in the diverse healing practices attested by documentary, literary and archaeological evidence whose quantity and range is altogether exceptional among Egyptian villages. The objective of my research is both papyrological-philological and cultural-historical. Firstly, I have tried to present the manuscripts and discuss their peculiarities, characteristics and functions. I have sought to improve our understanding of these fragments through the identification of new portions of text, the integration of supplements and a better assessment of their formal arrangement, which resulted in the revised edition of a few outstanding papyri. In addition to this, I have tried to contribute to the evaluation of the general context of this Egyptian community, particularly as regards religious healing practices connected to the sanctuary of Collouthus, and to explore the historical and cultural circumstances in which these texts were used. Finally, my research investigates the development of the codex throughout late Antiquity, which can be observed in a number of respects. One of the most significant concerns how the texts were assembled and presented, namely the interplay between container and content.

Introduction to the Theory of Language Correctness. The theme of this Thesis is the novel conceptualization of the subject field, which is, in the Czech context, traditionally dealt with within the theory of language cultivation, from the perspective of the so-called ontological "socialism" (esp. Itkonen, 1978; 2003). The first two chapters explain why the subject field of the (theory of) language cultivation is to be newly approached from this very perspective. The conceptual discussion in the first chapter identifies three underresearched factors (reaction of the Protectorate elites to the Nazi occupation policy; variety-based approach to the "language" and physicalism) that had negative effect to the debate on these questions and therefore they should not be taken into consideration; the terminological discussion in the second chapter supports the claim that it is not suitable to associate the traditional term (theory of) language cultivation with this novel conceptualization. This diploma thesis deals with the reflection of aspects and factors in social work within the agenda of benefits in material distress, affecting the human rights of clients of social workers of HN at CoP LO. The scope of ordinary social workers of HN at CoP LO on the agenda of benefits in material distressis the processing of applications, providing advice and appropriate services, which affect both legislative, ethical and other documents of the organization, as well as the role of social workers in their work representing their competence, attitudes and values that imply to intervention with clients. Other aspects and factors that have a relevant impact on the human rights of clientsare the cooperation with other entities active in the environment and working conditions of social workers. Research of the thesis was through quantitative methods in the form of semi-standardized interview focused on mapping and factors that affect the implementation of the rights of clients. Questions have been targeted on subjective perceptions and opinions of the respondents in the area of benefits in material distress in Ceske Budejovice, regarding examined aspectsand factors that I have outlined above. The result of my thesis is the finding that the fulfilment of the rights of clients is negatively affected by the high administrative participation rates of social workers, which subsequently affects the individual approach, roles, competencies, values of social workers, and in cooperation with other agencies and organizations that are important to the saturation ofclients' needs. Officers of benefits of benefits in material distress from the position of the first-line workers do not have sufficient powers in defending the rights of their clients. It has been appealed to social workers to have been properly compiled their administrative formalities. The consequence of this administrative burden is the sideline of the individual of intervention with clients with the aim of saturation of their needs.

I denna studie undersöks interaktion mellan karaktärer i syfte att utforska hur medierad maskulinitet och temat seriemördare uttrycks i den amerikanska tv-serien Dexter (Showtime 2006-2013). I serien får vi följa seriemördaren Dexter Morgan som drivs av ett begär att döda. Parallellt med denna centrala del av handlingen söker Dexter Morgan också sin identitet som man utanför rollen som seriemördare med avsikt att smälta in i samhällsnormen. Syftet med min studie är att belysa medierad maskulinitet i tv-serien, med huvudfokus på huvudrollskaraktären Dexter Morgan. Vidare diskuteras representation av medierad maskulinitet i relation till karaktärsdrag kopplade till kategorin seriemördare. Studiens frågeställningar lyder således: Vad är relationen mellan seriemördartemat och Dexter Morgan som medierad maskulinitet? Hur ser Dexter Morgans interaktion med tre centrala karaktärer (hans far, syster och läkare) i serien ut? Vilka egenskaper kopplat till maskulinitet respektive femininitet kan urskiljas? Förändras Dexter Morgans karaktär under seriens gång, och i så fall hur? Den teoretiska ramen domineras av R.W Connells maskulinitetsteori avseende hegemonisk, underordnad och delaktig maskulinitet. Kategorin seriemördare diskuteras utifrån tidigare forskning av Louise Nilsson och Richard Dyer. Materialet utgörs av representativa scener ur seriens handling, insamlade från olika säsonger. Det metodologiska tillvägagångssättet är baserat på narratologi i avsikt att identifiera vilka delar en berättelse vilar på. Scenanalysen utgår från Keith Selbys och Ron Cowderys narrativa analysmodell som i min studie delas upp i två steg. Steg ett innebär en deskriptiv genomgång av selekterad scen. Därefter följer analysen av scenen i ett separat stycke. Analysen påvisar att om endast två karaktärer förekommer i samma scen kan de aldrig inta samma genuskonstruktion då maktpositionering dem emellan är ständigt närvarande, beroende av de maskulina respektive feminina egenskaperna karaktärerna tillskrivs. Slutsatsen är att Dexter Morgans medierade maskulinitetsroll faller inom ramen för en traditionell maskulinitet, som verkar för att vidmakthålla ett patriarkalt samhälle, där denna hegemoniska maskulinitet förblir den genusroll som alla andra ska mätas mot. Analysen visar också på att egenskaper tillskrivna hegemonisk maskulinitet tenderar att sammanfalla med de karaktäristiska egenskaper förenat med temat seriemördare.

The bachelor thesis deals with ethics in public relations with specific aim to describe unethcial practises used in the Czech Republic between the years 2005 and 2010. The paper starts with an overview of a history of public relations. Author also focuses on the problematic of ethics in PR, work of various academics and interest groups are mentioned. Specific focus lies on the problematic of code of conducts and its criticism mainly based on the idea that ethical behaviour is not possible to enforce. The paper describes code of conducts of main PR world associations (PRSA, IPRA, ICCO) and of the PR agency Edelman PR. Czech laws and associations are also mentioned with a focus on the way the code of conduct of the Czech association APRA is (not) enforced. The main part of the thesis consists of describtion of unethical practises as mentioned in the media - fake blogs by an agency Bison&Rose to promote "Czech Paypal" in 2007, several cases of financial and material stimulus to attract journalist to press conferences and a misleading information about trains of Siemens. It is followed by 5 interviews with leading Czech PR practicioners, a media expert and a journalist. The work deals with ethics in the auditing profession and its abuses. It focuses in particular on the legal regulation of ethics in the external and internal audit, in detail deals with the ethical code in both auditing professions. Part of the thesis deals with fraud in the audit and are given specific cases of violation of ethics in practice and in the end work is given Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which was created in response to the first major scandals associated with the auditing firms.

This thesis addresses the issue of ethics on the Internet. The first part focuses on a brief history of the development of ethics and ethical principles used even today. The second part is devoted to information ethics, which is an integral part of the Internet, since it deals with the creation, dissemination, transformation, storage, search, use and organization of information, and also deals with specific standards, codes and principles that were created either specifically for the Internet or are now an integral part. The third part is devoted to valid Czech and European legislation in the field of information work in various media, including on the Internet. The final section is devoted to the evaluation of the current situation of ethics on the Internet, where they described the problems with which we meet today. Such problems are violations of copyright law, whether piracy or plagiarism, threats associated with Internet communications, kyberstalking, cyberbullying, kybergrooming or activity on social networks. In addition, problem situations are mentioned online trading, which are currently controlled by many associations, consumer protection or influence of the media and advertisements, and incessant problem of censorship. The final part is also added to the survey, which was created speficically for this work and proposal of possible solutions to improve the current situation.

Summary: This final thesis deals with creating of the ethical codex for parents or guardians as a tool for changing and adjusting of the communication between school and guardians. It focues on the legislation concept of this relation and fields in which the relation occurs. The work concurrently brings a view of the ethical codex in education and problems of its role in the legal system. Some of its targets are to create and implement ethical codex form school's and parents' perspective. In the conclusion, the current knowledge is brought together and critical points of creation and implementation into individual schools are set.

The aim of this paper is to point out, what information we come into daily contact, their quality, credibility, and how or what criteria to evaluate these properties. It focuses mainly on information sources that are presented via the Internet. The work consists of four chapters, two of which are considered crucial. These are the chapters entitled "Ethics in information resources" and "Evaluation of quality of information sources." In the first of the chapters are named as the duties and powers of the parties to work with information that impacts on information ethics violations, etc. The main benefit of chapters dealing with the evaluation of the performance criteria which would allow us to facilitate the evaluation of the quality of information sources on the Internet. In conclusion, this work indicated the evaluation survey, which aimed to find out how the public is familiar with the topics of the chapters.

My bachelor thesis is focused on describing direct sales as one of the methods of distributing and selling goods and services. I analyze production of the American company called Southwestern and suggest ways how to improve their production. My theoretical part is focused on the description of direct sales, history, profiles of dealers and current position of direct sales on the world market. I also describe the multilevel marketing, the marketing mix, essential parts of the cycle of selling and the sales talk. The purpose of my analytical part of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the production of Southwestern company dealers. It is one of the companies, which still use direct selling for distribution and selling their goods and services. I will use the internal data of the Southwestern company. I also describe company in general, the market it belongs to, goods and services, communication mix and the organizational structure. In the conclusion, there are recommendations on how to make the selection process and training more effective.

Práce zpracovává normativní deskripci stavu etických norem v podnikatelském prostředí v ČR, nejprve teoreticky uvádí do problematiky etiky, poté se věnuje rozboru prostředí. Rozbor prostředí začíná analýzou vnějších etických norem - zákonů - a jejich strážců z řad orgánů státní správy a pokračuje rozborem vlastních etických kodexů odvětví - konkrétně reklamy, která má vlastní dobře rozvětvenou etickou strukturu a pojišťovnictví jako dalšího vybraného zástupce etického kodexu.

Annotation This work deals with the importance of ethical codes in banking nowadays. The first part is devoted to description of situation in Czech banking. The chapter includes the theoretical characterization of particular codes and their practicable use in practise. The second chapter describes the situation in Ireland in the similar way. The final part carries on comparison of both systems and reflects their mutual advantages and disadvantages.

Wir haben diese Arbeiten, die uns von Kollegen aus den Genannten Lander zugeschickt wurden, redaktionell uberarbeitet und den chilenischen Beitrag aus dem Englischen ubertragen.
