The article features iterative-taxis categorical situations of simultaneity and non-simultaneity in German and Russian. The functional and semantic categories of taxis and iteration are closely interrelated. The intersection and syncretic unification of these functional-semantic categories makes it possible to define the model of their intercategorial interaction as a model of intercategorical crossing. Intercategorical crossing of taxis and iterative categories determines the actualization of various iterative-taxis categorical situations of simultaneity and non-simultaneity. They are actualized in iterative statements of various subtypes, e.g., verbal-iterative, deverbial-iterative, attributive-iterative, adverbial-iterative, etc., which contain iterative deverbatives, iterative verbs, and iterative quantifiers, i.e., attributes and adverbials. German and Russian proved to have such varieties of iterative-taxis categorial situations of simultaneity and non-simultaneity as (1) deverbative-iterative, (2) verbaliterative, and (3) adverbial-iterative and attributive-iterative. Actualization of certain iterative-taxis categorial situations of simultaneity and non-simultaneity depends on genetically-iterative, genetically-multiplicative, and word-formation-iterative deverbatives, as well as on iterative verbs of different semantics (actual iteratives, diminutives, multiplicatives, distributives, etc.) and iterative quantifiers (attributes and adverbials).

Verbal aspect is a grammatical category that in Bosnian and Italian expresses how the duration of the verbal event is to be conceived. Two basic types of verbal aspect are perfective and imperfective, eachhaving specific nuances, that is, subtypes, which are determined depending on the way the action unfolds and the time frame in which it occurs.There are various ways of expressing the subtypes ofperfectiveand imperfective verbal aspect. In this paper, we have presented the characteristics of iterative aspect, as one of the ways of expressing imperfective aspect. Namely, by contrastive-comparative analysis ofexamples, we will outline the ways of marking the repeated occurrence of verbal action in Italian translations of Ivo Andric’s Bosnian Chronicle in comparison with the original text, and make conclusions about the similarities and differences in the way of marking this particular nuance of the imperfective verbal aspect in two language systems.

The paper analyses the formation of derivatives from primary iterative verbs. A starting point of a scientific analysis is the belief that iterative verbs are an independent component of the so called „aspectual triad‟, grammatically opposing the perfective aspect, which, however, poses difficulties with defining the iterative morpheme - va (and its allomorphs). On the one hand, it cannot be defined as a suffix (due to its grammatical character), on the other hand - as an inflection (since it contains a marker of the base). The author of this article addresses long-standing questions on the classification and interpretation of the category of verbal aspect in Russian. Proceeding from the data of her two researches, she presents her interpretation of the verbal aspect in Russian, which would help the Russian Language learner in mastering the verbal aspect, the most challenging topic of Russian grammar. While recent studies have attempted to find a unified motivation for the Athabaskan middle voice, middle marking in iterative verbs, which are sometimes middles, is generally less well understood than in other middle constructions. Scholars have cited syntactic intransitivity, semantics, or some combination thereof as motivation for when iteratives are marked as middles. In this paper, we present a quantitative analysis of iteratives from traditional Dena'ina [Athabaskan, Alaska) narratives. This analysis strongly suggests that while grammatical transitivity plays a role in the triggering of overt morphological marking of middies, verb meaning plays an even more important overall role. and thus supports the assumption of a semantically unified class of middle verbs. More specifically, we show that in Dena'ina iterative verbs, middle marking is more likely to occur when the spatial starting and ending points of the action of the verb are undifferentiated.
